The highest percentage of single-person households is older than 60. Many of them live in dilapidated residential space because they are in difficult economic situations. The windows of them often don't exist or don't function properly as windows. As a result, they are suffering from social problems such as depression, solitude. This paper proposes an interactive window interface that reflects external environmental information for older people in their 60s or older of one household living in a dilapidated residential space. This content utilizes an inexpensive TV or PC monitor that doesn't require extra space and cost. Recognizing a user's hand through intuitive touch-sensing technology, which doesn't require much help from older people, this content provides weather videos and temperature information that reflect current external environment. Alert notification sound and SMS service are provided in preparation for more critical user emergencies. This content enables users to feel emotional stability and respond quickly to emergencies.

The role of smartphones is changing from a communication system for exchanging calls and information into a universal platform for cultural services. Also, satisfaction for mobile application services on smartphones is a very important factor in the smart business. In This paper, we analyze the effects of the outcome, service scape, costs, and especially the impact of whether costumers having to pay or free for the app on customer satisfaction. For this purpose, we analyzed survey data on service quality of mobile app service from Chinese mobile app service users. We also analyzed the moderating effects of paid and free mobile app services. As a result, it was confirmed that the quality, servicescape quality and cost of mobile app service that customers perceive have a positive effect on customer satisfaction. In addition, the effect of the cost of mobile app service perceived by the customer on customer satisfaction showed that free mobile app service was more significant than paid mobile app service. This paper can be used as an alternative to monetization for providing a mobile app service provider or a mobile app service provider who wants to switch mobile app service from free to paid service.

This paper introduces technical methods to improve the accessibility and usability of a WebRTC video conference (VC) application. Simplified login is essential, by applying such as single sign-on (SSO) to improve the accessibility of VC applications. High usability and manageability are also necessary to attract more users, enhance user experiences, and save service management cost. The proposed VC application leverages SAML-based federated identity management (FIM) to enable higher service accessibility. Users can access the application with their organizational ID and SSO authentication. The FIM eases user ID management and indirectly strengthens privacy information protection. Proposed web application has high usability and manageability because users and/or administrators can easily create, join, monitor, or tear down VC sessions through RESTful web service (REST API). We verify the feasibility of the VC application after illustrating the SAML-based identity federation and the designed REST API.

Though services requiring Quality-of-Service (QoS) guarantees such as Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) have been widely deployed on the internet, most of internet backbone networks, unfortunately, do not distinguish them from the best-effort services. Thus estimating the effective capacity meaning the traffic volume that the backbone networks maximally accommodate with keeping QoS guarantees for the services is very important for Internet Service Providers. This paper proposes a test-bed based on ns-2 to evaluate the effective capacity of backbone networks and then estimates the effective capacity of an experimental backbone network using the test-bed in terms of the service standard of the VoIP service. The result showed that the effective capacity of the network is estimated as between 12% and 55% of its physical capacity, which is depending on the maximum delay guarantee probability, and strongly affected by not only the type of offered workload but also the quality standard. Especially, it demonstrated that in order to improve the effective capacity the maximum end-to-end delay requirement of the VoIP service needs to be loosened in terms of the probability to guarantee.

As computing devices become ubiquitous and increasingly mobile, it becomes obvious that a synchronous and direct peer-to-peer communication model is not sufficient in distributed computing environment. Using an indirect event service instead of other traditional communication model has an advantage of decreasing the coupling of applications in a distributed environment and removing the need for many static dependencies. In this paper, we design and implement the secure event service for providing secure ubiquitous computing environment. The Secure Event Service implemented enables users to perform content-based event retrieval, and supports only eligible event comsumer and event producer can publish and receive events through the secure event service. SPKI/SDSI certificate is used for supporting authentication and authorization in the secure event service. In order to provide a content-based event retrieval, an asynchronous communication between event producers and consumers, and a disconnectedness support for mobile devices, we modify and expand the Javaspace package.

This study sought to explore the demand in the social service sector and present policy implications, focusing on the vulnerable in rural villages exposed to worse conditions amid the Covid-19 crisis. To this end, the social service needs of vulnerable groups by household type were analyzed by utilizing the raw data of the 2018 Survey on Rural Well-Being. Analysis showed that the greatest demand social services for all rural villages, the elderly, the disabled, one-person, one elderly and low-income households were income support services, while in household that included children the demand was for childcare and education-related services. The second-highest social services in terms of demand were cultural leisure vacation support services for all rural villages, healthcare-related services for the elderly, the disabled, one elderly and low-income households, cultural leisure vacation support services for households including children and daily life support services for single-person households. Based on these results, a measure was proposed to support social services, tailored to vulnerable groups in rural villages. In addition, the government's lack of a consultation system between urban and rural welfare policies, such as a basic plan for health and welfare in rural villages, led this paper to discuss the need for a feedback function and dedicated formulation of mid- to long-term policies in rural villages. It also proposed the establishment of conditions for providing customized social services for rural villages.

Intrusion detection forms a vital component of internet security. To keep pace with the growing trends, there is a critical need to replace single layer detection technology with multi layer detection. Different types of Denial of Service (DoS) attacks thwart authorized users from gaining access to the networks and we tried to detect as well as alleviate some of those attacks. We have proposed a novel cross layer intrusion detection architecture to discover the malicious nodes. The information available across different layers of protocol stack are exploited in order to improve the accuracy of detection. We have used cooperative and distributive anomaly intrusion detection with data mining technique to enhance the proposed architecture. The simulation of the proposed architecture is done in OPNET simulator and the results are analyzed.

In this paper, we propose an authentication scheme for EVPT (Emergency Vehicle Priority Transit) service in Vehiclar Ad-hoc Networks (VANET) enable a variety of vehicle comfort services, traffic management applications, and infotainment services. These are the basis for a new generation of preventive and active safety functions. By intelligently controlling signalling at intersections, providing additional information to the driver and warning the driver in critical situations. we therefore focus on vehicle-to-infrastructure communication for the authentication between emergency vehicles and traffic lights system. This authentication process should identify the vehicle, and provide privacy protection.

It is important interest for us to solve skew problem in intermedia synchronization and to solve jitter problem in intramedia synchronization. It propose multimedia synchronization model to represent mixed media which contain temporal media and spatial media, and that helps us to develop multimedia application software efficiently. The proposed paper use four parameters to deal with QoS of intermedia synchronization and relative duration time algorithm and jitter-compensatory time algorithm are presented. When key medium is destroyed we make a delay as much as maximum delay jitter of the key medium in order to playout the other medium as much as that. The result is that the application of maximum delay jitter improves the service quality.

This study explored feasibility of social cooperatives as a strategy of struggle to social exclusion in the social services area based on the relationships between people. Is social cooperatives on the Fundamental Act on Cooperatives a new type of social welfare service providers comparing the social welfare foundations and social enterprises? Would be expected as social inclusion processes effects arising from the properties of cooperative in social welfare sector? If social welfare institutions function as an intermediate medium between government and users, social cooperatives can be performed function in the community in a variety of cooperative relationships with Multiple stakeholders, e.g. various service providers, care-givers, social workers, and users, etc., conflicting the interests. In this perspective, looked the possibility of social cooperatives as community welfare practice model.
