Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the fit of zirconia core using MAD/MAM system comparing to that of conventional metal-ceramic and CAD/CAM system. Materials and methods: Duplicating the prepared resin tooth, 50 improved stone dies were fabricated. These dies are classified as a group of 5 to create the core. The groups were composed of metal-ceramic, $Cercon^{(R)}$, $Ceramill^{(R)}$, $Rainbow^{TM}$, and $Zirkonzhan^{(R)}$. Each core was cemented to stone die, and then, absolute marginal discrepancy was measured with microscope at a magnification of ${\times}50$. Statistical analysis was done with one-way ANOVA test and Tukey's HSD test. Results: The mean absolute marginal discrepancy for metal-ceramic was $51.97{\pm}23.38{\mu}m$, for $Cercon^{(R)}$ was $62.16{\pm}25.88{\mu}m$, for $Ceramill^{(R)}$ was $67.64{\pm}40.38{\mu}m$, for $Rainbow^{TM}$ was $125.07{\pm}42.19{\mu}m$, and for $Zirkonzhan^{(R)}$ was $105{\pm}44.61{\mu}m$. Conclusion: 1. Fit of margin was identified as in the order of metal-ceramic, $Cercon^{(R)}$, $Ceramill^{(R)}$, $Zirkonzhan^{(R)}$, and $Rainbow^{TM}$. 2. Absolute marginal discrepancy of the zirconia core that designed by MAD/MAM system had significant differences in order of $Ceramill^{(R)}$, $Zirkonzhan^{(R)}$, and $Rainbow^{TM}$. 3. The mean absolute marginal discrepancy between $Cercon^{(R)}$ and $Ceramill^{(R)}$ did not show significant differences.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to compare the marginal fit of three-unit zirconia fixed dental prostheses (FDPs) fabricated using CAD/CAM and MAD/MAM system. Materials and methods: Dentiform maxillary central and lateral incisor were prepared for 3-unit FDP and fixed in yellow stone. This model was duplicated to epoxy resin die. On the resin die, fifteen 3-unit FDPs were fabricated. Metal-ceramic group was three-unit metal-ceramic FDPs, $Everest^{(R)}$ group was zirconia three-unit FDPs fabricated using the $Everest^{(R)}$ system (Kavo Dental GmbH, Biberach, Germany) and $Rainbow^{TM}$ group was zirconia three-unit FDPs fabricated using the $Rainbow^{TM}$ system (Dentium Co. Inc., Seoul, South Korea). They were cemented to resin dies with adhesive resin cement. After removing pontics, each retainers were separated and observed under measuring machine (Presize 440C) and analyzed through one-way ANOVA and Duncan test (${\alpha}$ = .05). Results: Mean values and standard deviations of marginal gap dimensions in each group for three-unit FDPs were $78.5{\pm}11.05\;{\mu}m$ for the metal-ceramic group, $59.30{\pm}11.63\;{\mu}m$ for the $Everest^{(R)}$ group and $70.34{\pm}13.98\;{\mu}m$ for the $Rainbow^{TM}$ group. Conclusion: 1. The $Everest^{(R)}$ group in comparison with metal-ceramic group showed better marginal fit, which had significant differences P<.05. 2. The mean marginal gap values between $Everest^{(R)}$ and $Rainbow^{TM}$ group did not showed significant differences (P>.05). 3. The mean marginal gap values between $Rainbow^{TM}$ group and metal-ceramic group did not showed significant differences (P>.05). 4. The mean marginal gaps of each group were within clinically acceptable range ($120\;{\mu}m$).

The errors between track segments or at the cross-over points of shipborne gravity were successfully reduced by applying a cross-over error adjustment technique using satellite gravity. The integration of shipborne and satellite altimeter-implied free-air gravity anomalies after the cross-over error adjustment resulted in a high resolution gravity map which contains both short and long wavelength components. The successful adjustment of the cross-over errors in the shipborne gravity using the satellite gravity suggests that the shipborne gravity can be combined with the satellite anomalies characterized by a stable and long wavelength component. The resulting free-air anomaly map is evenly harmonized with both short and long wavelength anomalies. Thus the corrected anomaly map can be better used for the geological interpretation. Free-air anomalies with more than 140 mGal in total variations generally correspond to the seafloor topographic changes in their regional patterns. A series of gravity highs are aligned from the Korea Plateau to the Oki Island, which are interpreted to be caused by seamounts or volcanic topographies. The gravity minima along the western and southern shelf edge are associated not only with the local basement morphology and thick sediment fill at the continental margin, but also possibly with the crustal edge effect known for passive continental margins. Series of NE-trending linear anomalies are possibly caused by a swarm of volcanic intrusions followed the initial opening of the Ulleung Basin. The linear high anomalies in the Ulleung Plateau are terminated by the straightly NNW-trending anomalies with a sharp gradient in its western boundary which indicates a fault-line scarp. The opposite side adjoined with the fault-line scarp shows no correlation with the fault-line scarp in geometry indicating that the block might be horizontally slided from the north. A gravity high in contrast to the deepening in seafloor toward the northeastern central Ulleung Basin is probably responsible for the thin crust and shallow seated mantle. Vertically aligned ZnO nanorods on Si (111) substrate were prepared by hydrothermal method. The ZnO nanorods on spin-coated seed layer were synthesized at $140^{\circ}C$ for 6 hours in autoclave and were thermally annealed in argon atmosphere for 20 minutes at temperature of 300, 500, $700^{\circ}C$. The effects of the thermal annealing on the structural and optical properties of the grown on ZnO nanorods were investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD), field-emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), photoluminescence (PL). All the ZnO nanorods show a strong ZnO (002) and weak (004) diffraction peak, indicating c-axis preferred orientation. The residual stress of the ZnO nanorods is changed from compressive to tensile by increasing annealing temperature. The hexagonal shaped ZnO nanorods are observed. The PL spectra of the ZnO nanorods show a sharp near-band-edge emission (NBE) at 3.2 eV, which is generated by the free-exciton recombination and a broad deep-level emission (DLE) at about 2.12~1.96 eV, which is caused by the defects in the ZnO nanorods. The intensity of the NBE peak is decreased and the DLE peak is red-shifted due to oxygen-related defects by thermal annealing.
To search functional biomaterials of citrus pressed cake, the chemical constituents were analyzed Moisture content of citrus pressed cake varied slightly with sampling time. Moisture, non-nitrogen compounds, crude protein, crude fat, and ash of citrus pressed cake were 82.23% 16.94% 1.27% 2.5%, 0.58% (all w/w) on average, respectively. The chemical composition of citrus pressed cake was more similar to the peel than to the flesh of Citrus unshiu var: miyakawa. The pH, acid content, and pectin content were 3.57, 0.43% (w/w) and 1.49% (w/w), respectively. The vitamin C content of peel of Citrus unshiu var. miyakawa was 87.1mg/100g, and was higher than the 46.4mg/100g of citrus pressed cake. Total carotenoids of citrus pressed cake, and the peel and flesh of Citrus unshiu var. miyakawa, were 512.2mg/kg, 2,649.5mg/kg, and 199.4mg/kg, respectively. Therefore, citrus pressed cake may be utilized as a natural source of pectin, flavonoids and carotenoids. The major inorganic elements of citrus pressed cake were 201.3mg/100g of K, 47.9mg/100g of Ca, 19.4/100g of P, and 17.8/100g of Mg. The major free sugar contents of citrus pressed cake were 3.05% (w/w) fructose, 2.91% (w/w) glucose, and 4.94%(w/w) sucrose. Total free sugar was 9.91% (w/w), corresponding to 58.5% of 1be non-nitrogen compounds. The main flavonoids of Citrus unshiuwere narirutin, hesperidin, and rutin. Neohesperidin and hesperetin were also detected in trace amounts. Themajor flavonoids of citrus pressed cake were hesperidin and narirutin, and the content of hesperidin was 194.6mg/100g.
Loaves, stems, cotyledons, and roots of Hovenia dulcis Thunb grown in test tube were cultured on media containing different concentrations of single or combined growth regulators. In MS media containing 2mg/ι BA, the shoot formation rate was 95.5% and it was the highest frequency of shoot formation. MS media showed most efficiency in the shoot formation at 0.01mg/ι TDZ for the callus formation, but the color of callus changed to brown at a higher concentration of TDZ. Callus formation was 89.% at 0.5mg/ 2.4-D, but IAA, IBA, and NAA were not effective on the formation of callus. Calli were formed only on wound area when IAA, IBA, and NAA were added into MS media. Combined growth regulators (BA + auxin) were more effective in roots and nodes than leaves and cotyledons on the formation of shoot. More than 97% of shoot formation was obtained on MS media containing BA and auxin. For the production of multiple shoot, nodes of Hovenia dulcis were used and effect of growth regulators on the formation of multiple shoot was evaluated on MS media. Highest shoots (5.3) of Hovenia dulcis were induced on MS media supplied with 0.1mg/ι BA and 0.1mg/ι NAA, and an average of 6.4 shoots per explant were obtained in 1/2 MS media containing same concentration and growth regulators. An average of 7 shoots per explant after 4 weeks of culture from nodes of Hovenia dulcis was produced on a woody plant medium(WPM) containing 0.1mg/ι BA and 0.1mg/ι NAA. Shoot length was 6.0 cm in average.

This study was done for the extraction of carotenoid from Phaffia rhodozyma in combination with PEF and other methods. PEF treatment conditions were $30{\sim}80\;kV/cm,\;100{\sim}1000\;Hz\;and\;100{\sim}1000\;{\mu}s$. In order to increase permeability of yeast cell wall, various methods such as freezing-thawing, mechanical treatment, solvents, permeabilizing agents, and yeast cell wall lytic enzyme were used before PEF treatment. The combination of PEF $(50\;kV/cm,\;300\;Hz,\;1000\;{\mu}s)$ and conventional methods such as solvent and freezing-thawing pre-treatment had no effects on the extraction of carotenoid pigments. The extent of extracted carotenoid by the PEF $treatment(50\;kV/cm,\;300\;Hz,\;1000\;{\mu}s)$ combined with yeast cell wall lytic enzyme and mechanical pre-treatment increased 52% and 69.8% more than the sum of that by each treatment, respectively. Permeabilizing agents, especially Tween 20 and capric acid, enhanced the extraction efficiency of carotenoid pigments from P. rhodozyma cells. These results indicated the feasibility for the continuous extracting carotenoid pigments from P. rhodozyma by PEF combined with other permeabilizing methods.

Recently, large and small fires have been happening more often in Korea. Fire is one of the most frequent disasters along with traffic accidents in korean cities, and this frequency is closely related to the land use and the type of facilities. Therefore, in this study, the significance of fires was analyzed by considering land use, facility types, human and social factors and using 10 years of fire data in Jinju city. Based on this, OLS (Ordinary Least Square) regression analysis, SLM (Spatial Lag Model) and SEM (Spatial Error Model) using space weights, were compared and analyzed considering the location of the fire and each factor, then a statistical model with high suitability was presented. As a result, LISA analysis of spatial distribution patterns of fires in Jinju city was conducted, and it was proved that the frequency of fires was high in the order as follow, central commercial area, industrial area and residential area. Multiple regression analysis was performed by integrating demographic, social, and physical variables. Therefore, the three models were compared and analyzed by applying spatial weighting to the derived factors. As a result of the significance test, the spatial error model was analyzed to be the most significant. The facilities that have the highest correlation with fire occurrence were second type neighborhood facilities, followed by detached house, first type neighborhood facilities, number of households, and sales facilities. The results of this study are expected to be used as significant data to identify factors and manage fire safety in urban areas. Also, through the analysis of the standard deviation ellipsoid, the distribution characteristics of each facility in the residential area, industrial area, and central commercial area among the use areas were analyzed. In, the second type neighborhood facility with the highest fire risk was concentrated in the center. The results of these studies are expected to be used as useful data for identifying factors and managing fire safety in urban areas.
This study examined the antioxidant activity of the dark purple rice seeds from the rice line, MGI079, derived from insertional mutagenesis. The contents of polyphenolic compounds were 1.3 and 1.9-fold higher in the MGI079-2-1 and MGI079-2-6 rice lines than in the donor cultivar MGI079. Flavonoid contents were 6.4-fold higher in the MGI079-2-1 line. The MGI079-2-1 line showed a 24.4-fold higher activity in DPPH free radical scavenging compared to the MGI079 line. The anthocyanin content of the MGI079-2-6 line was more than 106.4-fold higher than the MGI079 line and 1.4-fold higher than the Heugnam line. Anthocyanin content in colored rice grains was negatively correlated with Hunter's L, a, and b values, with the correlation coefficients of $-5.64^{**}$, $5.21^{**}$ and -1.15, respectively. The grain length/width of a mutant of MGI079 segregated to a medium and bold type compared to the medium type of MGI079. However, the 1,000 grain weight was decreased to 13.6~19.6 g compared to 19.8 g for MGI079. Amylose content of the endosperm was 5.6~23.8% higher than in the MGI079 line. The grain of mutants of MGI079 was distinguished by its starch characteristics. The higher antioxidant activity of the MGI079-2-1 and MGI079-2-6 lines indicated functional characteristics associated with high-value resources, so future breeding should focus on the development of pigments in colored rice in new varieties.
