The EDucation-research Integration through Simulation On the Net (EDISON) platform, which is a web-based platform that provides computational science and engineering simulation execution environments, can offer various analysis environments to students, general users, as well as computational science and engineering researchers. To expand the user base of the simulation environment services, the EDISON platform holds a challenge every year and attempts to increase the competitiveness and excellence of the platform by analyzing the user requirements of the various simulation environment offered. The challenge platform system in the field of computational science and engineering is provided to users in relation to the simulation service used in the existing EDISON platform. Previously, EDISON challenge servicesoperated independently from simulation services, and hence, services such as end-user review and intermediate simulation results could not be linked. To meet these user requirements, the currently in-service challenge platform for computational science and engineering is linked to the existing computational science and engineering service. In addition, it was possible to increase the efficiency of service resources by providing limited services through various analyses of all users participating in the challenge. In this study, by analyzing the simulation and usage environments of users, we provide an improved challenge platform; we also analyze ways to improve the simulation execution environment.

Introduces and analyzes basic library collection management issues regarding electronic journals, including selection, budgeting, policy making, collection evaluation, and preservation/archiving. Argues that staffing and budgeting for electronic journals can be organized on subject-based or format-based approaches, or some combination of both. Electronic journals are selected through the same three-stage process used for print journals : identification, evaluation, and selection. Most of the traditional criteria for print journals are also applicable to electronic journals, but additional criteria are superimposed on them. The cancellation and weeding of electronic journals have not been addressed ;by ;the profession, but will assume more significance in the future. There is a need for new client-centered evaluation methodologies that focus on availability and accessibility rather than ownership.

This study is to introduce the SDI(Selective Dissemination of Information) system, a typical aspect of information retrieval systems nowadays quite popular. The term "SDI" is most often used to describe systems of using electronic data processing equipment as a means of matching the terms of user-interest profile against document descriptors and selecting those documents with a specified degree of similarity to the terms of the user-interest profile. Various up-ta-date informations on SDI systems developed after the first introduction of the original idea by "Luhn" are reviewed and compared. The stage of development, structure, characteristics, and various other matters concerning the SDI systems are analyzed, and discussed.

The objective of this paper is to propose the bus information system that provides bus passenger number. Recently, we use a bus conveniently through introduction of bus information system offering location-based information. However, we need additional information for decision making in order to use a bus comfortably. To do this, first, we analyzed the needs of providing passenger number; second, we adopted GPS and RFID type's transportation card to get location and passenger number. Finally, we implemented the system displaying that information by three types, and tested it. Our proposed system has advantages to use a bus comfortably and to manage a bus efficiently by providing bus passenger number which is the important element for decision making as well as location based information provided by existing bus information systems.

인터넷의 도입 및 확대가 활발하게 이루어지면서 보다 많은 이용자들은 홈 네트워킹 기반의 정보 가전 기기, 텔레매틱스, 전자 물류 실현을 위한 전자 태크(RFID), 센서 네트워킹 등 모든 사물이 상호 통신할 수 있는 다양한 서비스를 요구하고 있으며 이를 해결하기 위한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 그러나 현재인터넷의 기반이 되고 있는 IPv4 주소 체계는 약 43억 개의 주소를 생성할 수 있도록 설계되어 있으며, 그 동안 비효율적인 주소 할당으로 유효한 주소는 불과 5~6억 개 정도만을 사용할 수 있는 실정이다. IPv4 기반의 인터넷 주소 체계로는 앞으로 도래할 유무선 통합 서비스 혹은 방송과 통신이 융합되는 사용자 중심의 인터넷 서비스 네트워크 구축에 많은 문제점을 갖고 있기 때문에 주소 자원을 거의 무한대로 제공하는 IPv6 기반의 인터넷(128비트 IPv6 주소는 2128개의 주소 지원) 도입이 필수적이다. 따라서 현재 IPv4 기반의 인터넷에서 IPv6 기반의 차세대 인터넷으로 전환되고 있으며, 또한 라우터 장비 시장은 차별화된 IPv6 기능을 제공하는 장비 중심으로 재편될 것으로 보인다. 본 고에서는 IPv6 라우터에 대한 IPv6 도입 배경 및 프로토콜에 관련된 제반적 기술을 살펴 보고, 이를 기반으로 외국 시스템들의 현재 구현 상태, IPv6 라우터를 개발하는 데 연구되어야 할 주요 사항 및 국내외 IPv6 도입 추진 현황을 살펴 본다.

Community gardens with log house in rural areas as a rural growth tool are able to promote rural-urban exchange and adapt to current market mechanisms by means of communication and promotion techniques. It is important to know that what community garden's users seek for their benefits and demand for well-established and settled down. The primary purpose of this study was to examine the needs of dwellers to live their community gardens so as to provide a better understanding of community gardens in Korea. An open-ended questionnaire survey was obtained from ten householders on community gardens in the study area. The results show that there needs to establish facilities such as small storehouse for farming appliances and barbecue area, and to set up the regulation to control a loud talking and sing until late night. We suggest that the government supports to help dwellers consider their needs to be comfortable on their gardening plots.

With the development of information technology and digitalization in these days, information network of library has been accomplished rapidly. The use and concern on Multimedia contents are increasing in the digital library based on information network. In this study I examined the definition of Multimedia contents and analysed the contents services and contents management for the use of Multimedia contents in digital library. As a result. the effect of information technology is important for changing of information environment. Moreover, the multimedia which are resources whose information demand of the user is various contents with it is changing the possibility of knowing it was with application.

This study investigated factors and issues for law school library evaluation. Also, this study suggested the roles and guidelines for law school libraries to perform its own role and function. To carry out the research, surveys were conducted with the law librarians. Then surveys were conducted to investigate law school students' demands and behaviors. Especially this study evaluated law libraries which were not carried out independently and professionally until now and meaningful as it thoroughly investigated users' demands and behavior with law school libraries and function and roles of law librarians. To facilitate law school library services and functions, quality of the collections, librarians' role, and users' needs should be considered as well as buildings and physical facilities. Particularly, users' needs assessment and librarians' opinion survey will be imperative in implementing evaluation.

The mission of public library is to contribute to local society's growth and improve local residents' quality of life by satisfying local residents' desire on information use, cultural activities, lifelong education, etc, and providing more convenient and equal access. This study is a research that deducted BSC-based public library performance indicator model composed of 12 critical success factors, 36 key performance indicators under four perspectives of learning and growth perspective, internal process perspective, resources perspective, and user perspective, estimated relative weights of deducted the performance indicator model on librarians of public libraries to analyze what performance indicator is important for accomplishing public library's mission and promoting performance.

공공 부문이나 대기업에서 운영하는 웹 사이트의 규모가 커지면서 분야별로 사이트가 나누어지게 되는데, 사이트를 이동할 때 마다 로그인을 다시 해야 하는 불편이 있다. 따라서 최근 이용자들의 불편을 줄이기 위하여 SSO (Single Sing-On) 통합인증 체제를 도입하는 사례가 늘고 있다. 통합 인증 시스템을 구축하면서 다수 웹 사이트의 회원을 통합하고 이에 대한 회원 정보 DB를 구축하여야 하는데, 빠른 인증서비스를 위해서 LDAP(Lightweight Directory Access Protocol)를 사용하는 것이 일반적이다. 이때 회원정보 DB와 LDAP의 정보에 대한 동기화 문제와 웹 사이트를 통한 회원가입과 동시에 적용되어야 하는 요구사항을 만족시키기 위해 본 논문에서는 회원 정보 DB와 LDAP의 정보 사이의 동기화 방법을 제안하고 구현하여 그 성능을 분석하였다.
