As female gamers are rapidly increasing, the misogyny and the misandry in game playing situation are also increasing. Recent #Gamergate and GodGunbae incident exhibit that such discriminative/hate behaviour in game playing can be developed into real physical threat or crime. In this paper, we investigate and analyze young Korean game players on how the attackers group, victims group, and gender-issue-indifferent group behave differently in game playing through survey. We found that male gamers had high hostile sexism against female gamers especially on females' game attitude and streotyped hatred with respect to the gender ${\times}$ group interaction. In big-5 personality test, however, it is not clear if attackers and victims had a noticeable different personality patterns. In result, we verify that there exist gender stereotype and high hostile sexism among young Korean gamers. Active gender-equality education on their adolescent period is necessary to avoid such destructive hatred in game playing.

This paper aims to examine the third-person effect(TPE) of hate comments on online news, and analyze how the issue-relevant audience factors as well as the characteristics of the online message have influence on the TPE. More specifically, based on the distinction between hateful and logical comments regarding the issue of illegal immigration, the authors have conducted an online experiment that compares how the message-related features, i.e., ways of expressing the ideas, lead to the difference in TPE. Analysis was also conducted with regards to how political orientation and discriminatory predisposition to immigrants among the audiences, have different impacts on the TPE. The 479 participants in the experiments were randomly assigned to experimental group(exposed to hate comments) or control group(exposed to logical comments). The results reveal that the TPE of hate comments is higher than that of logical message. The same message proved to be more effective for news users with liberal orientation and discriminatory predisposition. The significance of this paper lies in that it has examined the effect of online hate comments in a rigorous experimental setting. Also the research further elaborated on the audience-related variables, for which the previous studies tended to focus those on the general psychological level rather than relate them more specifically to the issues.

This study explores the ways in which depaysement and its dreams function as a hallucinative allegory on the basis of the spiritual freedom of surrealism in Luis Bunuel's films: "The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie" and "The Phantom of Liberty". In order to grasp the appearances of the sign in the scene of these films, it examines how he uses surrealism's dépaysement techniques such as the disposition of floating object, bipolarity, and physical contradictions of images. These emerging aesthetic views are as follows: the antipathy to reason, the critique of law and order, the aversion to ideology, and state apparatus. These finally aim at criticizing fundamental irrationality, thus paving a path for opening the possibility of liberation. He laid the foundation for a surrealist film by appropriatizing surrealist techniques to spread his claims. Therefore, this study argues that filmic scenes of dreams and hallucinations for a hallucinative allegory are closely related with the technique of depaysement network which summons the significance of surrealistic freedom in these films.

Femvertising campaigns are more easily observed in oversea rather than in Korea. Most recently, not only global companies but local consumer goods companies launched several femvertising campaigns. However, no research was done on effects of femvertising in Korea. Thus, this study will explore Korean college students' understanding of, attitude toward, and effects of femvertising through focus group interviews. Study results found that college students have low level of understanding on the concept of femvertising. However, they are somewhat familiar with contents of femvertising. Femvertising is believed to have positive impacts on gender equality and female empowerment whereas there are growing concerns over commercializing feminism. Study participants, regardless of gender, suggest that femvertising could influence consumers' attitude toward advertising and brand, but they are skeptical of purchase intention. Lastly, female participants suggest that femvertising, compared to traditional advertising, will enhance attitude toward ads and brand, and even have a positive impact on feminism. However, male participants suggest that femvertising may exacerbate the gender conflict between males and females which is called as 'misandry' or 'misogyny'.

Grotesque, which has often emerged as a breakthrough in Western art to protest rational and classical pure beauty, is often seen in modern art. Grotesque, along with the concept of pendulum, appears in infinitely expanded forms across cultures, arts, and society. In particular, transformed body images through deformatization and deformatization of the body are interpreted as strong rejections that seek to break away from formalized beauty. The main purpose of this study is how the body reproduced through body deformation, distortion, and bonding in Dimitris Papaioannou's work can be interpreted within the grotesque category. To this end, he examines the Grotesque discourse and modern meaning underlying the interpretation of the work and identifies how the fragmented and expanding body, which is currently actively discussed in the dance world, has an interaction with Grotesque. It selects , , , and , which are the main attributes of the grotesque, focus on conflicting familiarity, life, hatred, and beauty. Based on this, we would like to confirm that in contemporary dance, the reconstructed body reveals concealed things rather than expressing an unrealistic fictional world, and seeks new possibilities beyond boundaries as well as reconsider existing aesthetic views.
