This study attends to the phenomenon of major domestic corporations advertising their respective brands on official YouTube channels, reflecting the increasing importance of YouTube as a medium for marketing communication. One hundred vlogs of corporations with an official YouTube channel were content analyzed and their banded content attributes, advertising model's characteristics, advertising appeals, creative strategy, and consumer responses were investigated. Results show that the vlogs of employees were generally formulated with information on their colleagues' tasks and interviews. Findings also demonstrate that the characteristics of the model featured in vlogs had the most significant effects on consumer responses. Amongst the creative strategies, the user image had positive effects. However, branded content characteristics and advertising appeal types were found to have relatively weak effects. This research offers a theoretical understanding of the factors that influence consumer responses to the new type of advertising, corporate vlogs, in terms of branded content characteristics and advertising strategies. From a strategic point, it is anticipated that the reinforcement of user image and the utilization of an attractive model will produce positive responses from consumers.

This study is aimed to provide basic data to set the direction of polar literacy education and to raise awareness of the importance of polar research. Elementary, middle, and high school students' perception of the polar region was examined in terms of current status of polar information, impression regarding polar regions, and awareness of related issues. The study included 975 students from nine elementary, middle, and high schools, who responded to 16 questions, including close-ended and open-ended items. The results suggest that students had more experiences regarding the polar region on audiovisual media, but relatively limited learning experiences in school education. The impression they had of the polar region was confined to the monotonous image of a polar bear in crisis, following the melting of the glacier due to global warming. The students formed powerful images by combining scenes they saw in audiovisual media with emotions. In terms of recognizing problems in the polar region, the students were generally interested in creatures, natural environment, and climate change, but their interests varied depending on their school level and their own career path. The students highly valued the scientist's status as agents to address the problems facing the region, and gave priority to global citizenship values rather than practical standards. Based on the results, we suggest the following: introducing and systematizing content focusing on the polar region in the school curriculum, providing a differentiated learning experience through cooperation between scientists and educators, establishing polar literacy based on concepts that are relevant to various subjects, earth system-centered learning approach, setting the direction for follow-up studies and the need for science education that incorporates diverse values.

These days, mobile technology is developing very fast. It has increased the usage of the Internet by mobile phones. Nowadays the avatar and game contents services are most popular in mobile phones using the Internet. In this paper, we propose a Client/Server system to combine the animation avatar and e-mail services on SK-VM which are different from simple avatar services. The server which consists of DB (database) module and mail management module is designed in order to manage the information about avatar and the user. The client is designed so as to show the email contents and avatar animation on the mobile phone. This model is intended to reduce the performance overhead on the client as much as possible. We expect that this module would be useful in the mobile phones with limited resources, although the technology is being developed very rapidly.

This paper presents an image retrieval algorithm based on feature vector using color of histogram refinement for a faster and more efficient search in the process of content based image retrieval. First, we segment each of R, G, and B images from RGB color image and extract their respective histograms. Secondly, these histograms of individual R, G and B are divided into sixteen of bins each. Finally, we extract the maximum pixel values in each bins' histogram, which are calculated, compared and analyzed, Now, we can perform image retrieval technique using these maximum pixel value. Hence, the proposed algorithm of this paper effectively extracts features by comparing input and database images, making features from R, G and B into a feature vector table, and prove a batter searching performance than the current algorithm that uses histogram matching and ranks, only.

Under the strong support of the government, nanotechnology(NT) has been expanded rapidly in Korea. Korea was one of the countries that followed the National Nanotechnology Initiative(NNI) of the US very soon and set up their own policies for NT. This paper argues that the main rationale of the Korean version of NNI was so called 'catch-up strategy' by entering at the early stage of new technology. It stimulated scientists and engineers from various disciplines to do researches and to establish new education programs in NT. Unlike IT and BT, however, such fast and big investment in NT was approved by the public in the sense that there has been few criticism on the governmental NT policies and potential harness of NT. With the relative uninterestedness of the civil society and competititveness seeking policy in NT, ELSI in NT was not included in the Korean version of NNI and the results of technology assessments on NT were not introduced to the public at all.

Homomorphic filtering improves image by enhancing high components and reducing low components in the Sequency domain based on FFT, as one of useful digital image processing techniques. In this study, the application program f3r homomorphic filtering was developed. Using this program, satellite imageries and geophysical image such as magnetic image data were processed and their results were analyzed. In case of applying to other techniques suck as histogram equalization and kernel-based masking f3r the same purpose. they often cause the slight distortion of boundary or overall change of brightness values on the whole image. Whereas. homomorphic filtering has ability to enhance selectively detailed components in a target image. Therefore. this technique can be effectively used for extraction or separation of complex types of characteristics contained in the satellite imagery. In addition, this technique would be applicable to investigate anomalous zone in various geophysical image data.

Regional tourism is an effective means of revitalizing the local economy and improving the image of the region. In order to revitalize this, efforts should be made to create regionally specialized tourism products and to preserve the unique culture and traditions. Among them, gathering information about visitors and securing the quality competitiveness of the contents of tourism contents are very important to increase the potential of cultural tourism festival. This paper collects, refines, and processes the festival-related data in a specific area in order to enhance the visitor's tourism needs and satisfaction. In particular, negative words and positive words raised during the festival were analyzed through big data visualization using word cloud.

The final goal of this research is development of graphic design evaluation methodology in elevation of a usability at the mobile internet services and of measurement model which can forecast user needs in interface design, and systemize evaluation basis. For this, we systemize core contents of GUI design evaluation methodology and embodied UI design support system that supports prototype layout and evaluation process directly. The sight language that can inform flow of controled information by the quick and implicated method so that user may complete task in a short time without overload of recognition in limited display environment of Small Screen device it must improve objectivity in the reflection of UI design with image. Thus evaluation methodology that can evaluate usability of mobile internet systematically is important and specially, graphic design evaluation model which can forecast user's design need and trend is meaningful because of special quality that can reflect sensitive aspect of user in interface design. Mobile internet GUI was done by the result of this design evaluation, and I hope this result can be utilized for the GUI development of Ubiquitous environment for the future research.

Allowing only authorized users to record and inquire in the ledger, private blockchain technology is attracting attention from institutions and companies. Based on distributed ledger technology, records are immutable. Because news via the Internet can be easily modified, the possibility of manipulation is high. Some false communication report systems are designed to prevent such harm. However, during the gap between the false communication report and verification time, contents on the website can be modified, or false evidence can be submitted intentionally. We propose a system that collects evidence using a headless browser for more accurate false communication management, and securely preserves evidence through a private blockchain and prevents possibilities of manipulation. The proposed system downloads original HTML, captures the website as an image, stores it in a transaction along with the report, and stores it in a private blockchain to ensure the integrity from acquisition to preservation of evidence.

The purpose of this study is to qualitatively analyze the perceptions of aesthetic values of working women taking ballet fitness classes and to find ways to properly establish ballet fitness classes according to the opinions of the study participants. Participants in the study were 9 working women taking ballet fitness classes at local educational institutions, and FGI (Focus Group Interview) was conducted, and the interview was conducted based on a semi-structured questionnaire. Subsequently, the categorization content was derived through expert review and peer review. As a result, first, the study participants expressed their dissatisfaction, hoping that the ballet fitness class helped improve their daily enjoyment and pain, and even watched ballet performance with interest. Second, the participants of the study were actively publicizing the benefits of ballet fitness classes to their families and nearby acquaintances, and hoped that this exercise would help improve the difficult image of ballet. Based on this study, ballet fitness classes were expected to be sufficiently established as a hobby exercise for working women.
