An Intelligent Spraying Machine Capable of Selective Spraying Corresponding to the Shape of Fruit Trees Using LiDAR (LiDAR를 활용한 과수 형상에 따라 선택적 방제가 가능한 지능형 방제기)

  • Driving on irregular and inclined roads using agricultural machinery such as spraying machines or trucks in orchards causes farmer casualties associated with the overturning of agricultural machinery. In addition, the harm to agricultural workers caused by the excessive inhalation of the scattered pesticide frequently occurs during pest control processes. To address these problems, we introduced precision agricultural technology that could selectively spray pesticides only where the fruit is present by recognizing the presence or shape of the fruit in the orchard. In this paper, a 16-channel LIDAR (VLP-16) made of Velodyne was used to identify the shape of fruit trees. Solenoid valves were attached to the end parts of 12 nozzles of the orchard spraying machine for on/off control. The smart spraying machine implemented in this way was mounted on a vehicle capable of autonomous travel and performed selective control depending upon the shape of the fruit trees while traveling in the orchards. This is expected to significantly reduce the amounts of pesticides used in orchards and production costs.

  • In this study, we developed an automatic module changer for agricultural implements for using in unmanned agricultural robots. An automatic module changer is attached by lowering from the top to bottom of the implements and fixing the four fastener bars attached to the implements in combination. The lift function was implemented using seesaw-type structures to keep the engagement point constant when the automatic module changer climbs and descends, and the switching function of the automatic module changer was implemented using the link device in the cam structure. We developed an algorithm to check the presence of attachment and opening/closing of the workpiece using limit switches and verified the performance through combination assessment and weight lift test to assess whether the combination was within the error range.

Diagnosis of Ictal Hyperperfusion Using Subtraction Image of Ictal and Interictal Brain Perfusion SPECT (발작기와 발작간기 뇌 관류 SPECT 감산영상을 이용한 간질원인 병소 진단)

  • A robust algorithm to disclose and display the difference of ictal and interictal perfusion may facilitate the detection of ictal hyperfusion foci. Diagnostic performance of localizing epileptogenic zones with subtracted SPECT images was compared with the visual diagnosis using ictal and interictal SPECT, MR, or PET. Ietal and interictal Tc-99m-HMPAO cerebral perfusion SPECT images of 48 patients(pts) were processed to get parametric subtracted images. Epileptogenic foci of all pts were diagnosed by seizure free state after resection of epileptogenic zones. In subtraction SPECT, we used normalized difference ratio of pixel counts(ictal-interictal)/interictal ${\times}100%$) after correcting coordinates of ictal and interictal SPECT in semi-automatized 3-dimensional fashion. We found epileptogenic zones in subtraction SPECT and compared the performance with visual diagnosis of ictal and interictal SPECT, MR and PET using post-surgical diagnosis as gold standard. The concordance of subtraction SPECT and ictal-interictal SPECT was moderately good(kappa=0.49). The sensitivity of ictal-interictal SPECT was 73% and that of subtraction SPECT 58%. Positive predictive value of ictal-interictal SPECT was 76% and that of subtraction SPECT was 64%. There was no statistical difference between sensitivity or positive predictive values of subtraction SPECT and ictal-interictal SPECT, MR or PET. Such was also the case when we divided patients into temporal lobe epilepsy and neocortical epilepsy. We conclude that subtraction SPECT we produced had equivalent diagnostic performance compared with ictal-interictal SPECT in localizing epileptogenic zones. Additional value of these subtraction SPECT in clinical interpretation of ictal and interictal SPECT should be further evaluated.

  • 메밀은 마디풀과(polygonaceae)의 메밀속에 속하는 일년생 초본으로 야생종을 포함하여 20여 종이 확인되고 있다. 현재 재배되고 있는 메밀 재배종은 보통메밀(Fagopyrum esculentum Moench)과 쓴메밀(Fagopyrum tataricum Gaertn., 타타리메밀) 등 두 종이 주류를 이루고 있으며 우리나라에서는 보통메밀이 주로 재배되어 왔다. 본 연구는 농업유전자원센터에서 보유중인 보통메밀 341점과 쓴메밀 38점을 봄, 여름에 파종하여 특성조사를 수행하고 재배시기별 생육특성을 비교하기 위해 수행되었다. 봄, 여름 파종은 각각 2017년 4월 14일과 8월 17일에 전주 소재 농업유전자원센터 포장에 하였으며 줄기색, 엽색, 엽형, 개화기, 성숙기, 꽃색, 종피색, 종자모양, 주경절수, 총분지수, 백립중 등 11개 농업형질을 조사하였다. 봄 파종시 개화기는 대부분 5월 25일 전후였으며 성숙기는 6월 말부터 7월 중순까지 분포하였고 여름 파종시는 9월 15일 전후 개화하여 10월 말에 성숙하였다. 줄기색은 홍색의 비율이 높았고 엽색은 연녹색과 녹색이 대부분이었으며 엽형은 화살촉형이 90% 이상이었다. 꽃색은 흰색이 대부분이었지만 연녹색 자원도 40점 조사되었으며 종피색은 연갈색이 70%를 차지하였다. 종자 생산과 관련된 주경절수와 총분지수는 봄 파종과 여름 파종에서 많은 차이를 나타냈으며 봄 재배시 영양생장이 왕성하여 가을 재배보다 많은 주경절수와 총분지수가 조사되었다. 그러나 백립중에서는 여름 파종이 봄 파종보다 무거운 경향을 나타내어 주경절수, 총분지수와 백립중 간 부의 상관관계를 추론할 수 있었다. 일반메밀 유전자원을 국내 수집지별로 나누어 조사한 결과 주경절수와 총분지수는 봄, 여름 파종 모두에서 전남 수집자원이 가장 많았으며, 강원, 경남, 경북, 전북, 충북 수집자원과 유의성있는 차이를 나타내었다. 강원, 충북 수집자원은 제일 낮은 주경절수와 총분지수를 보였으나 백립중은 가장 높게 조사되었다.

The study of monistic mind-nature theory of Nog-Moon Yim Seong-Joo (녹문 임성주의 일원적(一原的) 심성론(心性論) 연구)

  • Nog-Moon Yim Seong-Joo(녹문 임성주) is a philosopher of late Choseon Dynasty of the 18th Century. He concluded that the debates between the school of Ho and that of Rack originated from the seclusion of Li(理) and Ki(氣), and theorized the new Li and Ki theory according to his own perspective. The prime point of Nog-Moon's Philosophy is said to be Li-Ki dongshil(理氣同實), Mind and Nature ilchi(心性一致) ; he proves his prime potints based on his pure and clean Ki substance. Thus Li-Ki is reduced to monism from dualism, and Mind-Nature(心 性) is reduced to mind. Since the basis of the existence of Mind is Ki(氣), Nog-moon's theory of Substance is concluded to be Ki-monism. Nog-Moon presents his great philosophy of Ki monism suggested by Jeong Myeong-Do's monistic methodology; he explains the universality of Substance and the diversity of Phenomenon with the logical structure of ilwonbunsu(一原分殊). The characteristics of Nog-Moon's philosophy is that ilwon(一原) and bunsu(分殊) are bonnyeon(本然) identical, which means Substance and Function(體用) are identical, or bonmalilchi(本末一致). It means Mind and Nature are bonnyeon(本然) identical, Ki and Mind and Nature are identical. With the expression of seongrihak (性理學) Gijil(氣質) is not different from bonnyeon(本然). Therefore 1 define the philosophy of Nog-Moon had been built on the context of a sage.

Spatial Analysis of Carbon Storage in Satellite Radar Imagery Utilizing Sentinel-1: A Case Study of the Ungok Wetlands (위성 레이더 영상 중 Sentinel-1을 활용한 탄소 흡수원 공간분석 - 운곡습지를 대상으로 -)

  • Within the framework of the post-2020 climate regime, the Paris Agreement's emphasis on Nationally Determined Contributions and Biennial Transparency Reporting is paramount in addressing its long-term temperature goal. A salient issue is the treatment of wetland ecosystems within the context of Land Use, Land-Use Change, and Forestry, as defined by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. In the 2019 National Inventory Report, wetlands were recategorized as emission sources due to their designation as inundated areas. This study employs C-band radar imagery to discriminate between inundated and non-inundated regions of wetlands, enabling the quantification of their spatial dynamics. The research capitalizes on 24-period Sentinel-1 satellite data to cover both the inundation and desiccation phases while centering its attention on Ungok Wetland, a Ramsar-designated inland wetland conservation area in Korea. The inundated area is quantitatively assessed through the integration of multi-temporal Sentinel-1 Single-Look Complex (SLC) data, aerial orthophotography, and inland wetland spatial information. Furthermore, the study scrutinizes fluctuations in the maximum and minimum inundated areas, with substantial changes corroborated via drone aerial reconnaissance. The outcomes of this investigation hold the potential to make substantive contributions to the refinement of national greenhouse gas absorption and emission factors, thereby informing the development of comprehensive greenhouse gas inventories. These efforts align directly with the overarching objectives of the Paris Agreement.

  • Until the early part of the 1990s, interior design has never been thought important by car makers. Repeated attempts have been made to systemize a technical structure, such as layout, driving method, and size, and the car's interior design has been developed by in simple comparison with the exterior design. In the 1990s, however, this trend began to change because consumers began spending more time in their cars, so the motive of the technology development became that of giving comfort and functional satisfaction to the customers. Observing how a person spends inside his or her car and considering the latest trends in car interiors have made a consumer-oriented sense of value i.e., intensifying the personality of the car's interior design and considering the emotional makeup of the consumer factor in the acquisition of a strategic brand identity. These days, car interiors assume a new concept every year due to the constant change in various factors, and the application of a high-tech design, with a sensing function and a navigation system, to achieve driverless running, is being raised as a key trend element technology for the future. Now, at the present when multilateral concept applications of design are attempted under the direct influences from other fields such as product design, fashion and furniture, I would like to lay stress on investigating and analysing the changes in car interior design varying with the background of the times and formative characteristics from the object point of view. On this study, I would like to compare the background of the times and flow of car interior design with priority given to crash pad and would like to attempt to present the direction of the future car interior design together with diversifying major technical factors.

Effects of Pre-treatment Method on the Surface Microbes of Radish (Raphanus sativus L.) leaves (전처리 방법이 무청의 표면 미생물 변화에 미치는 영향)

  • It was investigated the effects of pre-treatment method on the microbes on the surface of radish (Raphanus sativus L.) leaves. Independent variables put in water washing ($X_1$), microwave treatment ($X_2$) and steam treatment ($X_3$) using central composite design and response surface analysis. It was not detected in the pathogenic microbes, Samonella spp., Camphylobacter spp., Vibrio spp., Shigella spp., Staphyloccocus spp., on the surface of collected radish leaves without pre-treatment. But general microbes showed $3.90{\times}10^5{\sim}1.20{\times}10^7CFU/g$ of total microbes, $1.10{\times}10^2{\sim}2.00{\times}10^5CFU/g$ of E. coli, $2.40{\times}10^3{\sim}3.55{\times}10^6CFU/g$ of yeast/mold on the surface of various radish leaves and lactic acid bacteria was detected or not according to collected samples. The best method of pre-treatment was steam treatment on the microbe reduction effect of samples surface. Also, the multiplex regression coefficients analysis was calculated three independent variables ($X_1,\;X_2,\;X_3$) and dependent variables (total microbes, lactic acid bacteria and yeast/molds). It showed high correlation $R^2$, 0.89, 0.87, 0.85, respectively. For effective reduction of surface microbes, the best method was water washing with microwave or steam treatment at the same time.

  • In order to satisfy customers' desire that is becoming more diverse, and to create the unique character of a product in the fast changing social structure and living environment, today's designers have to make efforts to provide new ideas continuously. In the twentieth century, the development of design in various aspects could be possible through an epoch-making progress of technology and industrialization, and thus the meaning and style of design has changed differently according to the current of the times. The retro design, which borrows the designs and styles which were popular in the past and recreates the design of modern meaning and concept, is widely applied now and in the spotlight as a latest design trend. This phenomenon of revival style appears as an image that makes us recollect the past in various fields while being recognized as an another value of new sense. Considered from the history of style changes for the past 100 years, the automobile design, the most representative in product design fields, has gradually changed in its types according to continuous historical, social, and cultural changes and technological progress, while a variety of designs have been continuously presented. The recent current of automobile styles, according to the rapid progress of advanced scientific technology, shows the fast and various changes and the retro style is becoming a new trend arousing people's interests and reintroducing the past designs. The revival trend in automobile designs is expected to stimulate human sensitivity and restore humanity on a different level before the trend, and also expected to be recreated as a new design trend in modern sense, connecting us with the past culture and expanding the realms of future designs.

  • As digital systems were introduced to automotive design in the mid 1980s, the design process has adopted many digital programs to save time compared to the conventional hand drafting. Digital technology was introduced not only to satisfy the reeds of the global environment, as the number of automobiles exported to many different parts of the world has increased, but also to save time and effort in developing several models of quality automobiles. Therefore, every automotive manufacturer in the world has expanded its virtual reality(VR) studio to establish visualization systems that visualize automobiles in the actual size and a co-operation system that enables simultaneous feedback from all of its design studios around the world. Unlike the existing design reviewing methos, the new improved feedback system is assessed as a reasonable method to evaluates and understand how the automobiles are actually manufactured in simulation. It is especially helpful when advanced products and concept cars require fast results. Other strengths of the new system include shorter development period, cost efficiency, no more manual labor, various designs within a short period of time, and realistic visualization of concepts. Large-scale products, including automobiles, need to be projected in the actual size and high clarity through the Power-wall System and are examined in a virtual space called a Cave. Therefore, it took much time to establish digital infrastructure. An infrastructure would constantly require system improvement and performance enhancement, but it is certain that now is the right time for the take-off to utilizing the strengths of digital design and improve the weaknesses. In this respect, this study provided an understanding of the importance of digital design based on digital reinforcements and examined an effective utilization of digital technology for an efficient development of automobiles in the future.
