당뇨병환자에서 발생하는 가장 중요한 급성 합병증인 당뇨병성 케톤산증이나 고삼투성 비케톤성 혼수는 인슐린의 투여를 중단하였거나 감염, 외상 등의 신체적 손상이나 정신적 스트레스에 의하여 인슐린에 대한 길항 호르몬들이 과분비돼 발생한다. 일반적으로 당뇨병성 케톤산증은 인슐린 의존형 당뇨병환자 중 주로 젊은 층에서 자주 나타나며 병의 경과가 빠르게 진행되기 때문에 고삼투압 상태보다는 케톤산혈증이 주요 문제가 된다. 반면에 고삼투압성 비케톤성 혼수는 인슐린 비의존형 당뇨병환자 중 주로 노인층에서 호발하며 병의 경과가 서서히 진행하기 때문에 심한 고혈당 상태로 인한 고삼투압 상태가 주요 문제가 된다. 이와같은 당뇨병의 급성 대사성 합병증들은 치료가 지연되거나 적절한 치료가 행해지지 못했을 때는 예후가 극히 불량하며 사망률 또한 높은 것으로 보고되고 있다. 이에 급성 대사성 합병증 중 당뇨병성 케톤산증의 병인, 진단 및 치료 등을 알아보기로 한다.

완화형 강유전체인 0.9MPb*Mg$_{1}$3/Nb$_{2}$3/)O$_{3}$-0.1PbTiO$_{3}$에서 강유전-상유전 상전이에 수반되는 relaxation거동을 살펴보기위해 낮은 전계에서 측정된 유전특성과 높은 전계에서 측정된 전계유기 분극 거동 등을 조사하였다. -50-9$0^{\circ}C$의 상전이 온도범위에 걸쳐 1V/mm의 낮은 전계에서 측정된 유전특성의 온도의존성을 구하고 수 kVmm의 강전계하에서 발생된 분극의 온도의존성을 관찰하였다. 이 모든 결과들은 Vogel-Fulcher관계식에 비교적 정확하게 일치되었으며 그 결과 T$_{f}$ 는 294.6˚K로 나타났다. 본 연구결과를 통하여 Vogel-Fulcher관계식에 의한 주파수 의존성은 낮은 전계하에서의 유전특성 뿐 아니라 강전계하에서의 여러물성들도 동일하게 적용되는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

국내의 벤처기업들은 이미 알려진 틈새시장만 지향할 것이 아니고, 상세한 MBTA 또는 기술연구를 통해 Reassembled Affordable Technology를 활용한 새로운 틈새시장을 창출하려는 노력이 필요하며, 이 때에 다국적 기업의 통상적인 M&A와, Strategic Alliance 기회를 잘 활용하는 것이 필요하다. 이렇게 되면, 국내 벤처기업들이 대기업 의존형의 M&A제휴를 피할 수 있으며, 부가적으로 다국적 기업의 네트워크를 활용한 공동 Geographic Expansion도 가능해진다.

데이터로서 XML 역할에 대한 중요성이 증대되어감에 따라, 구조 정보를 내포하고 있는 데이터로서의 XML 문서를 효과적으로 관리하는 구조설계 및 질의어 처리에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. XML 저장구조는 XML 스키마에 의존하지 안고, 반구조적 데이터에 대한 저장과 질의처리 설계방법과 DTD와 같은 XML 스키마를 기반으로 저장구조를 설계하는 방법이 있다. DTD는 XML 문서의 논리적인 구조정보를 표현하는 역할을 가지고 있으며, 그러한 역할은 이 기종간의 문서교환시 더욱 중요해진다. DTD 기반의 XML문서를 관계형 테이블로 사상하고자 할 때, 사상과정이 자동적으로 이루어지는 경우와 사용자가 관리자가 직접 테이블 생성에 관여하는 수동적인 사상방법이 있다. 수동적인 사상과정은 질의처리가 구현시 데이터베이스 설계 방법에 크게 의존하게 되는 단점이 있지만, 사용자가 주어진 DTD 구조에 따라서 특정 응용에 알맞은 저장구조를 직접 설계하기 때문에 더 효율적인 저장구조를 설계할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 관계형 DB를 질의처리 하기 위한 하부 저장소로 사용하고, DTD 기반의 XML 문서를 관계형 DB 테이블간의 수동적인 사상과정을 통하여 효율적인 XML 문서 저장구조를 설계하는 방법을 제시한다.

무제한 정보추출은 주로 영어를 대상으로 연구가 진행 되었지만, 최근에는 영어가 아닌 다른 언어에 대한 적용이 시도되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 관계 어휘의 유형을 동사형과 명사형 2가지로 정의하고, 각 유형별로 구문 분석 결과 기반의 서로 다른 방법론을 적용하는 한국어 대상 무제한 정보추출 시스템을 소개한다. 동사형 관계 어휘에 대해서는 의존 관계 기반의 추출 규칙을 적용하고, 명사형 관계 어휘에 대해서는 대량의 말뭉치로부터 자동으로 학습한 의존 관계 구조 기반의 추출 패턴을 적용한다. 임의의 100개 문장에 대해서 수행한 결과는 산출된 전체 트리플에 대해 0.8이상의 정밀도를 보임으로써 본 논문에서 제안하는 방법의 효용성을 증명하였다.

Kimura's disease is a chronic inflammatory disorder of unknown etiology. A 14 year old boy suffering from steroid dependant nephrotic syndrome, was presented with relapsing painless subcutaneous masses on the left buccal area. Blood analysis showed increased IgE and eosinophilia. During 4 years follow up, he was been treated by low dose steroid and short term cyclosporine. Consequently, frequent relapses of subcutaneous masses and nephrotic syndrome has been relieved. Cyclosporine treatment combined with steroid may be useful for preventing frequent relapse of Kimura's disease.

Potential grain yield of rice plant was calculated from potential grain yield of each leaf for two lines of IR 667 and two commercial varieties (Jinhung and Paldal). According to the percentage contribution of each leaf the pattern of potential grain yield of IR 667 lines could be grouped into the upper leaf-dependent type indicating fast senescence while that of commercial varieties could be grouped into the lower leaf-dependent type indicating shade resistance. The comparisons between potential grain yields and apparent grain yields indicate that the commercial varieties having a comparably unfavorable plant type thus remained much behind the potential yield. The significance of potential grain yield was discussed in relation to nutrio-physiology and breeding. Methods for potential yield determination were also discussed.

모든 알레르기 반응의 중심축이 되는 비만세포는 주로 피부, 위장관 및 호흡기관의 점막에 분포하고 있다. 활성화된 비만세포는 즉각형 알레르기 반응을 일으키는 여러 인자들을 방출시키게 된다. 方藥合編(방약합편)에 따르면 蔘蘇飮(삼소음)은 알레르기 鼻炎(비염), 發熱(발열), 風寒(풍한), 頭痛(두통), 기침에 效能(효능)이 있는 處方(처방)이다. 본 硏究(연구)는 蔘蘇飮(삼소음)의 肥滿細胞(비만세포) 의존성 아나필락시 반응(anaphylactic reaction)에 대한 藥理(약리) 效果(효과)를 조사하기 위한 것이다. 蔘蘇飮(삼소음)은 compound 48/80으로 유발되는 전신성 아나필락시 쇼크(systemic anaphylactic shock)와 耳介(이개) 浮腫(부종) 反應(반응)(ear swelling response)을 농도 의존적으로 억제하였다. 蔘蘇飮(삼소음)을 0.1, 1 mg/ml로 전처리 하였을 때, 흰쥐 복강 肥滿細胞(비만세포)(rat peritoneal mast cells, RPMCs)에서 compound 40/80에 의해 유발되는 히스타민 분비는 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 蔘蘇飮(삼소음)은 anti-dinitrophenyl IgE에 의해 활성화 된 수동 피부 아나필락시(passive cutaneous anaphylaxis, PCA)를 농도 의존적으로 抑制(억제)하였다. 결론적으로 蔘蘇飮(삼소음)은 肥滿細胞(비만세포) 의존성 즉각형 알레르기 反應(반응)을 抑制(억제)하여, 항 아나필락시 활성(anti-anaphylactic activity)을 가지는 것으로 보여 진다.

Purpose: This study was done to identify types of subjective perception of their disease by adolescents who have insulin dependent diabetes mellitus (IDDM) in order to better understand these adolescents and to determine effective nursing interventions. Method: Q-methodology was used in this study. The 36 Q-statements were selected through a literature review and in-depth interviews with participants. Data were collected from a 33 P-sample by sorting the 36 Q-statements into a 9 point standard. The data were analyzed using the PC QUANL program. Results: Five types of perception were identified: Type 1 being a recipient and having a will to cope with the disease, Type 2, seeking support from others, Type 3, emotional and negative coping, Type 4, pursuing own beliefs but with conflict at the same time, and Type 5 feeling under heavy pressure as their condition made them feel insecure, and they felt sorry to their families. Conclusion: The findings of the study are expected to contribute to improving clinical practices by helping nurses have a broader understanding of adolescents with IDDM, and exploring ideal nursing interventions.

The polarization characteristics of nano-scale grating-assisted polarization-insensitive coupler (GA-PIC) consisted of double sandwiched rib-type layers are evaluated in detail by using modal transmission-line theory (MTLT) based on equivalent network. To obtain the polarization-insensitive condition of GA-PIC, the coupling lengths as a function of the refractive index and thickness of sandwiched rib-type layer as well as the grating thickness and period are analyzed for quasi-TE and quasi-TM modes. The numerical results show that the GA-PIC with hundreds of nanometer scale is realized by properly choosing structural and material parameters of double sandwiched layers and grating.
