A self-report survey was conducted with primary school children who were in the 6th grades. Two hundred and seventy eight children were included in the study. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, One-way ANOVA, Pearson correlation and multiple regression with SPSS WIN 23.0 program. Social anxiety for the schoolchildren was positively correlated with perfectionism and depression, whereas self-esteem and attachment security was negatively correlated with social anxiety. Stepwise multiple regression analysis showed that 38.0% of the variance for social anxiety was significantly accounted for by self-esteem, self-oriented perfectionism, depression, attachment security (Father-communication). The most significant factor influencing social anxiety was self-esteem. For this purpose, we collected counseling cases of professional counselors who successfully completed counseling and attempted the qualitative analysis of treatment intervention strategies and effects. The results of the study were obtained by dividing the meaning units in the immigrant woman's statements made during the counseling process composed of a total of 6 sessions. The counselors were analyzed to have tried the following intervention strategies. They attempted the following six strategies: Helping emotional differentiation by searching for unresolved emotional problems, dealing with undifferentiation due to family projection process and love triangle, dealing with multi-generational transfer process of the original family relationship patterns and coping mechanism, shedding lihgt on ineffectiveness of inconsistent communication due to emotional oppression applying a communication model of MRI, switching client's awareness through reorganization, suggesting a way of communication that leads to real self. Such counselors' attempts resulted in positive changes and treatment effects were found to include first, cognitive insights and motivation for change, second, improved communication skills and third, anxiety reduction and self-differentiation. Due to their husbands' refusal to participate in counseling, marriage migrant women often get involved in counseling alone, so they tend to worry that the effectiveness of family therapy may be low but it was found that the proper intervention of the counselor could improve the ability of the wife to resolve conflicts, which would be a great help in solving problems such as family violence and this study is meaningful in that it provided the appropriate therapeutic intervention strategies needed.

Ninety-three 10th-graders were grouped into homogeneous and heterogeneous cooperative groups with respect to extraversion and introversion, and were taught about matter for 10 class periods. Prior to the instructions, three tests regarding the extraversion/introversion, logical thinking, and learning motivation were administered. After the instructions, their achievements, process skills, self-esteem, communication apprehension, and learning motivation were examined. Two-way ANCOVA results revealed that there were no main and interactive effects in the scores of the achievement and the process skills tests. However, significant interactive effect was found in the self-esteem. While the difference in the self-esteem of the introverts and the extroverts was small in the homogeneous group, the self-esteem of the extroverts was higher than that of the introverts in the heterogeneous group. The communication apprehension of the introverts was significantly lower than that of the extroverts. Students' perceptions to their group activities and group members were also studied.

  • Purpose: This descriptive study aimed to identify the contribution of nurses' communication styles, nurse-mother partnerships, and mothers' anxiety levels to the coping of mothers of hospitalized children, with the goal of establishing effective intervention strategies based on these factors. Methods: Data were collected using a structured questionnaire from July 12 to October 29, 2018. The study's participants were 200 hospitalized children's mothers in the pediatric ward of a university hospital. Results: The coping of hospitalized children's mothers showed a significant relationship with nurses' informative communication style (r=.26, p<.001), affective communication style (r=.28, p<.001), nurse-mother partnership (r=.50, p<.001), authoritative communication style (r=-.28, p<.001), and mothers' anxiety (r=-.23, p=.001). A multiple regression analysis (adjusted R2=.32) indicated that the factors affecting the mothers' coping included nurse-mother partnership (𝛽=.47, p<.001), another caregiver (yes) (𝛽=.17, p=.006), and mothers' subjective health status (very healthy) (𝛽=.15, p=.047). Conclusion: Considering that the formation of cooperative partnerships between mothers and nurses found in this study had a positive effect on the mothers' coping skills, it appears necessary to develop and implement programs for improving nurses' communication skills and ability to form partnerships, beginning from undergraduate education.

  • The development of ICT has promoted the infusion of 'social,' which is not only 'personal,' but also strengthens social connection and communication; and SNS lies in the center of the infusion. Although SNS has been positioning itself as a significant domain in our lives based on the developed technologies, such as openness, extendibility and real-time, it has caused social concerns due to unexpected side effects. Therefore, this study aims to identify the stressors causing SNS stress and the factors influencing discontinuance of SNS. As a result, 5 factors including 'techno-overload,' 'techno-invasion,' 'techno-insecurity,' 'techno-complexity' and 'pace of change' were found to be SNS stressors. It is thought that this study would provide an academic implication for the future studies of stress and discontinuance related to SNS and a guideline for establishing practical strategies.

Direct effects of participation motivation, participation satisfaction, and mental health were less satisfactory than indirect effects of the time when program satisfaction is a variant. It is concluded that mental health of participants is getting better when more satisfactory program should be provided, rather than motivation of simple participation.
