  • Science Revolution, which stands for new paradigm in an era as a transfer, usually is accompanied with a change in intellectual sphere. Futhermore, as there is an indissoluble connection between science and an, so the correlation of two realm lead to mutual prosperity in coexistence. Recently, concerns for the phenomena of non-linear dynamics in science and its quick adaptation in art made .it possible. What is important agenda for science and art is to suggest the process of creative evolution and its method, I believe. In order to attain these, different and contra way of thinking, spirit of research and venture for unpredictable things out of daily routine should be indispensible. In this study, I am offering and reviewing the space design based upon phenomena of nonlinear dynamics, drawn from concept of chaos in physics and mathematics. This study places a great emphasis on nonlinearity which should be understood as a whole, not partially, that enable a designer to find new cosmos and principles of creation. In addition to these, I wish that a designer would stop trying partial apply in nonlinear space. In fine, I hope this study enables a designer to adapt and generate nonlinearity as creative attribute in space by understanding of phenomena of nonlinear dynamics and its process as a whole.

  • This research proposes contextual space expression as a possibility of solution methods for local and historical issues, the matters that our contemporary architecture has to overcome. When modernistic architecture aimed for anonymous public interests denying the characteristics in historical and spacial contexts, postmodern architecture and regional architecture, etc have been striving to revive discontinued contextual meanings using various historical and environmental elements. While such attempts only borrowed architectural materials by superficially understanding the context, they could not comprehend ceaselessly changing contexts sufficiently. Choosing Jean Nouvel as one of the architects that can explain spatial plan to properly respond to such ever-changing, contemporary contexts, the researcher intended to understand his line of expressional characteristics of his architectural space and analyze his works as examples.

  • This study is a descriptive analysis of Korean business names listed on KOSDAQ (Korea Securities Dealers Automated Quotation) from a morphological perspective. A total of 1,358 business names on KOSDAQ are collected and analyzed in terms of origins and morphological structure. The analysis exhibits the monopoly of English: only 20% of the names are composed of only Korean elements, including Sino-Chinese, while 76% of them contain some form of English elements. It is pointed out that those English elements are not borrowed from English but are created in Korea and participate further word formation processes. In terms of word formation methods, compounding and shortening are most common, taking up 90% of all names. Multiple derived forms are used from an identical origin word, and even bound forms in English are taken and used as independent words, regardless of their original status in English. It is argued that Korean English is not entirely negative and should be considered as part of World Englishes.

  • Most films have not made by original storytelling. They get their storylines and themes from diverse sources such as novels, comics, performing arts, and previous film products. Comics have become a primary source for film production since 1960s in such nations as Japan and USA. In the contemporary period, this becomes a more visible trend in many countries including Korea, China, and France. Unlike novel, comics combine words with images. Since a comic strip isa graphic medium in which visible images are created in order to express a sequential narrative, it seems more relevant when films adapt original comics in order to recreate new products. The progress of 3D graphics technology enables film creators to realize imagined images in screen, most of which were once imagined only in comics. Keeping an eye on the strength of comics, this study tries to tries to investigate the relationship between a comic strip and its adaptation to film. It will firstly discuss the cases of comics in Korea, which are adapted to film in Korea. And this study will discuss "Le Grand Chef"as a case study in order to investigate what is the difference between original comics and film adaptation.

  • Tow Prepreg is the intermediate material for filament winding process that has been "pre-impregnated fiber tow" with resin system. As "dry filament winding" process emerges as a reliable alternative to conventional filament winding (called "wet filament winding") process, interest in tow prepreg as a material for dry filament winding is rising as well. In this article, we have reviewed the recent research trends in carbon fiber tow prepreg for high-performance rocket motor cases, fuel tanks for hydrogen vehicles and other high-quality commercial pressure vessels.

  • The Korean movies, and are suitable for "B-movie" for spending low budget and utilizing subculture factors such as kitsch, parody. Using surrealistic space and arbitrary language is the most prior element in constituting 'B-affection'. In that sense, Behind the Dark Night, Super Margin have characteristics overcrossing the media from comics to film. Despite absurd story, Behind the Dark Night has a realistic and concrete sense of what is the making films. The hero in Super Margin was swindled, so he strikes a blow the breeding-place of crime himself. In conclusion, showing comics characteristic aspects has been increasing comedy effects. But, on the other hand, Behind the Dark Night, Super Margin have pointed out that there are many kind of social problems such like career, fraud etc. In addition, they introspect the meaning what is that to making films.

  • In creating an illustration, rather than depend on the subjective expression of the illustrator, one should consider the characteristics of child cognitive development. Illustrations should be those which can arouse child's interesting and which can be educational. To do this, first, characteristic expressions shown in children's pictures can be used to arouse child's interesting. In creating an illustration, one should consider sufficiently "intuitive form" and "representative form" in order to appeal to curiosity of child. Second, illustrations should be able to be helpful to the development of child's intellect, emotion and imagination. The form is desired to be adequately exaggerated or reduced feature, to have anthropomorphic figure and to be fantastic composition considering the egocentrism and animalism of the child. As mentioned above, it can be said characteristic expression in picture book illustrations are affected by the two points - fascinating expression drawn by child and expression by illustrator, which can be helpful to the development of intellect, emotion and imagination.otion and imagination.

  • 'Hansik', or Korean cuisine is one of Korea national brands. To understand the domestic consumer awareness of Korean cuisine, data was gathered under the keyword search, 'Hansik.' Textom 3.5 was used to gather data from blogs, news media found on Naver from November 1, 2018, to October 31, 2019. The results from frequency and TF-IDF analysis indicate that the 'buffet' had the largest proportion in terms of consumer awareness to Hansik. Also, broadcasting contents starring star chefs had a great influence. The Hansik awareness did not remain in the domains of its traditionality, but also branched into extents into areas such as fusional and gourmet cuisine. UCINET6 and NetDraw were used to conduct CONCOR analysis. Four cluster formations have been found; various food cultural cluster, high-end restaurant cluster referring to aired restaurants on media, Hansik brand cluster, and Hansik buffet cluster. This study proposes presenting a various menu of Hansik which use a multiple number of ingredients. Also, a promotion that introduces fine Hansik and a development of marketing views and media contents about the convenient HMRs make the associated imagery of Hansik to be strengthen.

  • The image as a media has changed consistently since it was first introduced. According to these changes, the image has been reproduced in different fields and contexts. Thus, the paradigm on the production and the consumption of the image has been changed and recycled rapidly. The relation between the production and the consumption of the image also has changed accordingly, allowing quite ambiguous distinction between the producer and the consumer. The transformation through the transfer of the image among different fields opens up a new potential that these reproduced images could be used as an aesthetically expressive tool, rather than merely leaving images to remain royal to its original function as a sign. The thesis is to explore the potential that the topographical lines have beyond its function as a sign age. During the reproduction of the image, the process actively invites the spectator or the consumer to participate in the formation of the image, which promotes a new relation between the producer and the consumer. Instead, the process encourages the consumers to be active producers as well. As a result, the topographical lines do not merely remain as a sign that demarcates the height of the topography, and new images are constantly reproduced from the active participants. This project questions the fixed idea on the sign as a communicative tool, and suggests a new potential for the sign, especially, the topographical lines.

  • In Charlotte's Web, each character motivates the other and strives for the new generation based upon motherhood. The intersection between life and death is directly and symbolically addressed as a component of the natural life cycle. Borrowing Kristeva's theory of the semiotic, the symbolic and the chora, this study investigates the dialectical oscillation between the semiotic and the symbolic and the social circumstances of subjects in signification as well as highlights the features of character growth. From a feminist perspective, herein, motherhood is translated not only as a robust foundation for relations among characters but also as an impetus for developing into a good and influential individual who embraces all organisms with care and consideration. Charlotte's Web clearly shows how the semiotic and symbolic elements of each being, united by motherhood, interact and lead to positive change. Though the world appears to consist of incompatible ingredients, they are combined. Charlotte's Web awakens the fact that their harmony makes a commitment to building a more wonderful place. It can be suggested that Charlotte's Web, where animal characters contain two tendencies of the human mind, exhibits human development proceedings.
