Analysis of Sales Information of Secondhand Clothing Goods on the C2C Secondhand Trading Platform - Focusing on Content Analysis Using NVivo - (C2C 중고거래 플랫폼에서의 중고의류제품 판매 정보 분석 - NVivo를 활용한 내용 분석을 중심으로 -)

  • This study aims to classify the dimensions of the sales information of secondhand clothing goods on the C2C secondhand trading platform and to systematically analyze the components of each dimension. To this end, the NVivo 12.0 qualitative data analysis software was used. The content analysis showed that the sales information of secondhand clothing goods was classified into four dimensions: detailed information of the sale goods, information specific to secondhand clothing goods, seller opinion information, and service information. The components of each dimension were as follows. The detailed information of the sale goods included size, sale price, item, design, brand name, material, color, wearing season, fit, gender, etc. The information specific to secondhand clothing goods included the number of times the item was worn, its purchase history, and product condition. Seller opinion information included product review, sales motivation, notes for the transaction, coordination proposal, and usage proposal. The service information included the transaction mode, exchange·return·refund, and promotion. The frequency analysis showed that the highest frequencies were sale goods(37.47%), information specific to secondhand clothing goods(24.63%), seller opinion information(20.54%), and service information(17.37%). This study will help C2C secondhand trading platform managers or sellers establish clear standards for presenting sales information and developing ideas toward constructing differentiated platform contents.

A Study of Subjectivity about Virtual Fashion

  • The purpose of this study was to apply the Q methodology to type subjective perceptions of virtual clothing and to examine the characteristics of each type. Perceptions of virtual clothing were analyzed into four types. The first type was the "virtual clothing trusting fit grasping type," who preferred to use virtual clothing and believed that virtual clothing would help them grasp the fit. The second type was the shopping mall adoption-positive design understanding type, which believes that virtual clothing is useful for design understanding and that all shopping malls should have a virtual clothing system. The third type was the environmental pollution reduction virtual clothing purchase type, where the virtual clothing reduces environmental pollution and the user wants to purchase virtual clothing that cannot actually be worn. The fourth type was the actual clothing-like fun-seeking type, in which the virtual clothing resembles actual clothing and the shopper believes that the virtual clothing will make shopping more enjoyable. Depending on the type, the avatar was required to adjust the dimensions of the avatar, enhance the design expression of the garment, equip the avatar with decorative items, and produce virtual clothing for sale.

Gender Differences in the Effects of Fashion Innovativeness and Fashion Involvement on Attitudes toward Apparel Recycling (패션혁신성 및 패션관여도가 의류재활용 태도에 미치는 영향: 남녀 비교 연구)

  • With increasing concerns about environmental issues that can result from apparel and textile disposal, the recycling methods for discarded fashion products have gained significant attention. As the influential drivers of consumer purchasing and consuming behaviors, fashion innovativeness and fashion involvement can play important roles in forming consumer attitudes toward apparel recycling. The purpose of this study was to (1) investigate consumer attitudes toward three different methods of apparel recycling including resale, reform, and donation, (2) examine the effects of fashion innovativeness and fashion involvement on consumers' apparel recycling attitudes, and (3) identify gender difference in the relationships among fashion innovativeness, fashion involvement, and recycling attitudes. Using a web-based survey, data were collected from 281 Korean consumers who were in their 20s and 30s. Overall, both male and female consumers revealed the most favorable attitudes toward apparel recycling through donation, followed by reform, and resale. The findings suggest that consumer traits, such as fashion innovativeness and fashion involvement, are important factors predicting male consumers' apparel recycling behaviors. Those male consumers who perceive fashion as important were more interested in apparel recycling than those males who put low importance on fashion. Male fashion innovators were less likely to recycle their unused and old apparel items. Further studies identifying antecedents of female consumers' attitudes toward apparel recycling are warranted.

A Study on Brand of Mail-Order Clothing (Mail-Order의류제품의 브랜드에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the current brand of mail-order clothing, consumers' attitude over importance of brand and the effectiveness of brand when consumers purchase clothing by mail-order shopping. for this study, mail order catalogs were analyzed and the samples were collected through the questionaire distributed to 214 women. It was analyzed by SAS package. The results are as follows; 1. As a result of mail-order catalog analysis, domestic clothing included few famous brand except foreign brand. 2. The users of mail-order purchasing were old and married women comparably. They were also high clothing-expense users and housekeepers. Item that consumers wanted to buy using mail-order shopping were home-wear, night-wear, accessories and scarves which were involved low risks comparably. 3. Consumers regard brand significantly as a means of credit in purchasing mail-order shopping clothing. In analysis between importance of mail-order clothing brand and demographics, degree of education and clothing expense per month showed significant difference.

Consumers's Distrust for Discounting Claims and Purchase Intention for Apparel Products (의류 제품의 할인판매에 대한 소비자의 불신과 구매의도에 관한 연구)

  • This study investigated the factors that influence consumers' distrust and consumers purchase intention for discounting, specifically discounting of clothes. Through literature, discounting rate, retailer type and brand reputation were identified as influencing factors and were tested. A 2$\times$2$\times$3 factorial design was used to test the effect of each factor on consumers' distrust and consumers' purchase intention for jean products. Retailer type was manipulated as high and low, brand reputation as well-known and less-known, and discount rates 10, 30 and 60%. An convenience sample of 165 female undergraduate students participated in the study. The data were analyzed using SPSS/PC+ The results showed that consumers did distrust discounting claims and consumers' distrust of the claims was greater for less-known brand. In addition, no significant effect of retailor type was found. Further effort is needed to generalize the result to different product categories.

  • 의류산업은 소비자의 구매 욕구를 예측하여 제품을 개발하는 경우가 빈번하며, 예측이 잘못될때는 즉 소비자들이 특정제품을 외면하는 경우 할인판매를 통해 제품을 처리해야 하는 문제점을 안고 있다. 반면에 신속대응 시스템은 소비자의 욕구를 지속적으로 관찰하여 신속하게 제품개발 및 생산일정을 수립함으로서 불필요한 재고가 쌓이는 경우를 사전에 방지할 수 있게 한다. 소비자의 욕구는 POS 시스템에서 창출되는 자료를 통해 수집 분석되고 이런 소비자의 선호도는 네트워크를 통해 실시간으로 관련 제조업자에게 제공되어 제조업자들이 소비자의 선호도에 부합하는 제품을 개발, 생산, 제공할 수 있도록 해준다. 본 연구에서는 신속대응 시스템의 주요한 목표인 신기술의 접목을 통하여 의류제품의 기획, 구매, 생산, 유통과정 상의 재고 수준의 절감 및 과정 소요기간의 단축, 의류제조업자와 소매업자간의 보다 나은 협조체계의 개발, 소비자의 욕구에 적절히 대응하는 시스템을 학생들에게 교육할 수 있는 프로그램을 개발하였는데 신속대응 시스템에 대한 교육용 프로그램을 설계 및 구현하였다.

  • 의류 상품의 반품 처리 과정은 판매자와 기업에 막대한 비용을 야기하고 있다. 인공지능을 이용한 반품 적정 여부 자동화 검사는 인력 및 시간 절감을 통한 효율성 향상과 응답 시간 단축을 통한 고객 만족도 향상에 기여할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 자동화 시스템의 초기 단계로, Faster R-CNN을 활용하여 의류 이미지에서 손상 영역을 탐지하고 분류하는 방법을 제안함으로써 향후 실제 운영모델 개발의 가능성을 보여준다.

Influence of Hanbok Salesperson's Attributes on Relationship Quality with Customers and the Behavioral Intention (한복판매원의 속성이 고객과의 관계의 질과 행동의도에 미치는 영향)

  • This study shows the importance of human factors in relationship marketing by revealing the influence of Hanbok salesperson's attributes on relationship quality and long-term relationship orientation at the time when a culture is newly understood. A questionnaire surveyed 376 women living around the Seoul and Daejeon Metropolitan areas from February to March 2013. SPSS WIN 20.0 and AMOS 20.0 programs analyzed the gathered data. We review the influence of Hanbok salesperson's attributes (expertise, ethics, communication skill, customer orientation, similarity, and likeability) on relationship quality and behavioral intention. The research indicates that only customer orientation and Hanbok salesperson's expertise attributes influence relationship quality. All the attributes had a positive influence; in addition, the relationship quality had a significant influence on customer loyalty. However, communication skill, similarity, and likeability did not influence relationship quality. Customer orientation, which provides a customized service based on the recognition of individual customer trends and expertise in developing a relationship with customers, are important factors to form relationship quality and loyalty.
