Odor control of Foodwaste Treatment Facilities (음식물류폐기물처리시설의 악취관리대책에 관한 연구)

  • This study was carried out to assess and analyze the overall problems of the facilities in recycling and treating of foodwaste on the basis of the unit operation facilities. It proposes effective alternatives for the high profitable management that can meet the regulation of the facilities. The study is composed of several parts including a collection of academic reports, field studies regarding the facilities operated by local government and the private sector, the analysis on odor samples from compost facilities and processing facilities for animal feed from foodwaste. Twenty facilities were surveyed on the field to find out the existing problems and to compare between facilities. Several facilities didn't meet the governmental regulation on some processes, especially the stages of input, storage, odor control and the qualities of final products under the unit equipment operation. The analysis on the odors from the phases of input, shredding and fermentation of a compost facility and processing facilities for feed, the odors from shredding equipments were higher in concentration than the others. The Major odors from the composting facility contained hydrogen sulfide ($H_2S$), methyl mercaptan ($CH_3{SH}$), Dimethyl sulfide ($(CH_3)_2S$) and Ammonia ($NH_3$) and the major odors from the animal feed facility contained methyl mercaptan ($CH_3{SH}$), Trimethylamine ($(CH_3)_3N$) and Acetaldehyde ($CH_3CHO$).

The Characteristics of properties torrefied product according to Food waste and sewage sludge mixing ratio (음식물류폐기물과 하수슬러지 혼합비율에 따른 반탄화 생성물의 연료적 특성비교)

  • This Study is to into fuel using a torrefation reaction to food waste. When the fuel of only food waste alone, fuel value is was performed at a ratio of sewage sludge constant attempts to prevent low. Mixing ratios of food waste and sewage sludge, 10:0, 8:2, 6:4, 5:5. Regardless mixing ratio, it was possible to confirm that decreases the moisture content of 10% or less at a reaction temperature of $240^{\circ}C$ or higher. As the ratio of the reaction temperature and the sewage sludge is high, the fixed carbon content is increased. It was measured at up to 36%(mixing ratios6:4, reaction temperature $270^{\circ}C$) from the initial 1.1%. From the reaction temperature $240^{\circ}C$ satisfied with 3000Kcal/Kg or more is a SRF criteria shows the calorific value. It was possible to obtain a heating value that is increased from the raw sample approximately sextuple. As reaction temperature is heightened, Van krevelen Diagram moved to the range of Lignite range. It was possible to obtain high fuel ratio and 5,500Kcal/kg or less of a combustility index as the sewage sludge mixing ratio becomes high. Increase the fixed carbon content, than those food waste alone solid fuel into and improved fuel costs, it is necessary to ensure that the quality of the fuel is improved.

  • 본 논문은 음식물류폐기물의 사료화 및 퇴비화 방법이 독성, 염분, 미숙성 등의 이유로 처리 여건이 어려운 데 대하여, 자체 처리열원으로 활용하여 경제성을 높이고 탈리액 처리 문제를 해결할 수 있는 방안을 제시한다. 2011년부터 유기성 폐기물이 해양투기가 금지됨에 따라 탈리액의 처리문제는 해결해야만 하는 문제로 제기되었으며, 2007년부터 시행되고 있는 함수율 95% 유지 조건은 새로운 처리비용의 증가로 이어졌다. 본 논문에서 제시하는 방법은 음식물류폐기물을 건조 후 자체 열원으로 사용하여 연료비를 획기적으로 줄이고, 탈리액 대신 경제적 효용가치가 있는 응축수를 만들어 해양투기에 의한 비용부담을 없애는 방법이며, 이전의 회분식 방법을 연속처리할 수 있도록 개량한 방법을 제시한다. 응축수는 액비로 사용가능하므로 완전 재활용이 가능하다.

  • The food wastes recycling system should be constructed before 2005 in the city area. In order to manufacture the good compost, salt remaining rate should be minimized. We studied the effective method of minimizing salt ratio by diluting with low water ratio. We got the salt remaining ratio less than 0.3% by effective fragmentation method, and we applied the IR heating in order to make good compost.

  • As the national income level is improving, housing urbanization and economic speed are progressing rapidly, household waste and food waste are rapidly increasing. The "Waste Management Act" (founded in 1991) introduced the volume-based household waste system in 1995, and even after implementation, the odor of food waste and the prompt disposal process continue to be a social problem.For this reason, the food waste recycling business is attracting attention. In this paper, regarding the role of resource recycling such as feed, compost, and other resources of food waste, this thesis aims to reduce the inefficiency of the recycling process. Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) of the relationship between inputs and outputs of 33 facilities nationwide, excluding facility data (insufficient) among 394, (238 public, and 156 private ones), as of the end of 2020, which is running a domestic resource recycling project This study was conducted to investigate the important role in the relative management performance of food waste recycling facilities.It was hypothesized that the influence of business history, facility capacity, capital, and machinery of a company running a food waste recycling business on sales was tested.

  • 본 논문은 가열된 폐식용유를 이용하여 음식물류폐기물에 포함된 수분을 증발시키고 고형성분을 익혀 사료, 퇴비 및 연료화 할 수 있는 장치를 소개한다. $200^{\circ}C$의 폐식용유에서 l분 이내에 완전 건조 처리되며 멸균을 시킬 수 있어 효과적이다. 열원은 소각로 열을 재활용할 경우 경제적이다. 탈리액의 해양투기가 금지될 경우 탈리액을 획기적으로 줄이는 대안이라 여겨진다.

  • This study refers to the deodorization of DDM Environmental Resource Center, which is operating abnormally in the food waste public-resource facilities that are operating nationwide, in accordance with the initial operating conditions. Issues concerning the abnormal deodorization facilities of DDM Environment Resource Center were the deodorization of composting facilities, indoor air quality problems, and overall deodorization of facilities, especially the phenomenon of stopping while operating the RTO and the phenomenon of poor spray in the wet scrubber etc. As an alternative and improvement method for converting such abnormal operation facilities into normal operation facilities, It is proposed to remove the front filter of the upper part of the fermentation tank, and to install scrubbers, air and water separator, and roll filters for dust removal etc.

  • Laying hens' excrement from eating food wastes was mixed with paper mill sludge, aged for 21 days and then provided to the juvenile earthworms(Eisenia fetida) for 10 weeks. Biomass of earthworm population decreased by 5.7% of initially introduced population. Very few juvenile earthworms developed into the clitellates and clitellated earthworms could not produce cocoons at all, which was supposed to be caused by inhibition effects of salts in laying hens' excrement upon the sexual development of Eisenia fetida. But there was no significant effect on the survivorship of earthworm population.
