1968년 ARPA 네트워크의 출현 이후 음성 서비스 위주의 네트워크와 데이터 서비스 위주의 네트워크는 서로의 서비스를 수용하기 위해 노력해왔다. 음성 기반의 네트워크에서 데이터를 수용하기 위한 노력은 ‘꿈의 망’으로 그친 ISDN(Integrated Services Digital Network)으로 나타났고, 데이터 기반의 네트워크에서 음성을 수용하기 위한 노력은 보편적인 비연결형 데이터 서비스와는 대비되는 B-ISDN(Broadband-ISDN)으로 나타났다. 이후 다시 B-ISDN은 IP 서비스의 수용을 위해 ATM 교환기를 MPLS(Multi Protocol Label Switching) 교환기로 대치하여 보완하고 있지만, VoIP(Voice over IP)등 음성서비스의 제공에는 아직 완전한 해법이 제시되지 못하고 있다.(중략)

성문부폐쇄부전(glottic insufficiency)를 수술적으로 치료하기 위한 노력은 여러 형태(silicone, hydrogen gel, teflon, etc.)의 성대이물주입술, 갑상성형술등 다양하게 시도되어 왔다. 그러나, 이러한 노력에도 불구하고 성문부폐쇄부전은 여전히 해결하기 어려운 문제로 남아있다. 여기에 1995년 Ford 등은 성문부폐쇄부전에 이은 음성장애치료의 새로운 접근방법으로 자가 콜라겐주입술(autologous collagen injection)을 소개하였다. (중략)

As virtual assistants rapidly diffused into the market, the voice shopping market is expected to expand. The purpose of this study is to identify the factors that determine the consumers' intention to adopt voice shopping by using the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology(UTAUT). In this study, we set variables that influence the intention to adoption of voice shopping with performance expectation and effort expectations as the variables of UTAUT and playfulness expectations as an extended variable. In addition, we also include four voice secretary attributes such as response accuracy, compatibility, social presence, and safety in our research model to investigate the source of motivation of voice shopping adoption. The result of this analysis shows that variables such as performance expectation, effort expectation, and amusement expectation have a positive effect on the intention to adoption of voice shopping. With respect to the four voice shopping attributes, compatibility had a positive effect on performance expectancy, effort expectancy, and playfulness expectancy. Social presence has a positive effect on playfulness expectancy. Safety has a positive effect on effort expectancy and playfulness expectancy. On the other hand, response accuracy is not significant for performance expectancy, effort expectancy, and playfulness expectancy. This study reveals the determinants of intention to adopt the new purchasing method called voice shopping, and suggests the important factors for the innovation of commerce business.

음성처리 연구자들이 연구 수행을 하기 이해서 최초로 해야 할 일은 음성학적 범주가 풍부한 많은 사람이 발성한 음성 데이터의 확보이다. 그러나 음성 데이터를 확보하는 데는 많은 시간과 노력이 소요되므로 음성 DB의 구축이 필요하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 한국어 전화 음성 인식 기술 연구시 시스템의 객관적 성능평가와 알고리즘 개발등에 모든 연구 개발자들이 공통으로 사용할 수 있는 표준 음성 데이터 베이스를 구축하여 국내 음성처리 연구의 활성화를 꾀할 수 있도록 하였다.

상용 가능한 대규모 음성인식 시스템의 개발을 위해서는 음성 데이터베이스 구축이 중요한 과제의 하나로써, 많은 시간과 노력이 요구되며 특히 세그멘테이션과 라벨링은 그 노력의 상당부분이 된다. 본 논문은 ARS 주식 거래 시스템에서 사용되는 대용량 음성 DB의 효과적 구축을 위해 세그멘테이션 및 라벨링의 자동화에 대한 연구를 하였다. 본 연구를 위해 20대 성인 남녀를 대상으로 증권거래와 관련한 15개의 문장을 발성하도록 하였으며 Dialogic사의 D/41ESC보드를 장착하고, Window NT4.0 플렛폼에서 음성을 수집하였다. 또한 자동 Segmentation과 labeling은 Aligner를 사용하였으며 수동과 비교하기 위해 CSLU speech Tool Kit을 사용하였고 수작업은 숙련도가 있는 전문가가 하도록 하였다.

후두 전적출술 후 음성의 소실은 환자에게 정신적으로 많은 영향을 주기 때문에 음성의 회복은 환자의 재활에 중요한 부분으로 여러 가지 방법 이 고안되었으나 아직 만족할 만한 방법은 없다. 식도발성은 기구나 손을 사용할 필요가 없이 정상인과 같이 자연스럽게 말할 수 있어 가장 이상적인 음성재활 법이나, 습득하는데 오랜 시간과 노력이 필요할 뿐만 아니라 음성의 질이 나쁜 단점이 있다. 또한 현재까지 식도발성의 성공여부를 예측할 수 있는 방법이나 성공 율을 높일 수 있는 수술법 등에 대한 연구는 많았지만 음성재활을 위한 식도발성의 특성이나 언어의 명료도에 대한 연구는 부족하다. 무제한 음성합성기를 구현하기 위하여 꼭 필요한 음성분석장치의 개발에 대하여 논하엿다. 이 분석장치는 신호처리 보드를 사용하여 PC에서 사용할 수 있도록 되어 있으며, 음성의 A/D, D/A 및 spectrogram display는 물론 pitch pulse 위치를 Glottal instint closure에 맞추어 삽입할 수 있어 linear prediction base의 무제한 합성기에서 필요한 음성 data base를 구축하기 용이하도록 개발하였다. 또한 음성인식을 위한 음성 DB나 현재 사용중인 ARS를 구축하고자 할 때에도 적은 노력과 시간이 소요되도록 하였다.

본 발표에서는 한국전자통신연구소의 대화체 음성언어번역 연구방향을 기술한다. 한국전자통신연구소에서는 1979년 공중전화 관련 연구를 필두로, 음성분야의 연구를 시작하여 그간 음성인식, 자동통역 등을 연구하였다. 특히 1991년부터 KT와 공동연구체계를 수립하여 특정분야를 대상으로 음성언어번역 연구를 수행하는 중이다. 이러한 경험을 바탕으로 한국전자통신연구소에서는 국내외 공동연구를 통해 대화체 음성언어 번역 연구를 수행하고자 한다. 앞으로 다중매체통신이 더욱 보편화될 것일므로 다중매체 환경을 고려하여 연구를 수행할 계획이다. 아울러 연구의 부산물을 상용화 하는데에 노력을 경주할 계획이다.

This study examines the effectiveness of semi-occluded vocal tract exercise (SOVTE) conducted through telepractice for 10 female teachers who have experienced vocal discomfort while working in early childhood education facilities (childcare centers, kindergartens). The effects of SOVTE conducted through telepractice were evaluated based on the Korean voice handicap index (KVHI), the Korean version of the voice activity and participation profile (K-VAPP), vocal effort, and auditory perception evaluation by using the grade, roughness, breathiness, asthenia, and strain (GRBAS) scale. The results show that total, functional, and physical scores of KVHI significantly reduced after SOVTE. The total score in K-VAPP significantly reduced after SOVTE. Moreover, vocal effort significantly decreased after SOVTE. However, statistically significant differences were not noted in GRB scales before and after SOVTE. In conclusion, early childhood teachers experienced reduced vocal discomfort SOVTE conducted through telepractice. The study results indicate that voice therapy conducted through telepractice is an effective method for reducing vocal discomfort in early childhood teachers.
