Sentence Type Identification in Korean Applications to Korean-Sign Language Translation and Korean Speech Synthesis (한국어 문장 유형의 자동 분류 한국어-수화 변환 및 한국어 음성 합성에의 응용)

  • This paper proposes a method of automatically identifying sentence types in Korean and improving naturalness in sign language generation and speech synthesis using the identified sentence type information. In Korean, sentences are usually categorized into five types: declarative, imperative, propositive, interrogative, and exclamatory. However, it is also known that these types are quite ambiguous to identify in dialogues. In this paper, we present additional morphological and syntactic clues for the sentence type and propose a rule-based procedure for identifying the sentence type using these clues. The experimental results show that our method gives a reasonable performance. We also describe how the sentence type is used to generate non-manual signals in Korean-Korean sign language translation and appropriate intonation in Korean speech synthesis. Since the method of using sentence type information in speech synthesis and sign language generation is not much studied previously, it is anticipated that our method will contribute to research on generating more natural speech and sign language expressions.

  • 본 논문에서는 화상, 음성, 화이트보드 등과 같은 멀티미디어 자원들을 상호 연동하여 진행하는 참호참여환경 프레임워크인 DooRate이 갖고 있는 세션 진행 시 고정된 멀티미디어 자원을 사용하는에 따른 문제점을 개선하는 방법을 설계하였다. 이 설계를 통하여 다양한 형태로 실시간 세션을 변형시킬 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 불필요한 미디어정보의 전송을 제거할 수 있어 시스템 및 네트워크 부하를 줄일 수 있도록 한다. 진행중인 세션의 변환 명령 패킷의 신뢰성있는 전송을 위하여 RMTL(Reliable Multipoint Transport Layer)방식의 IP Multicasting을 설계하였다.

  • As the smart factory progresses, the use of automation facilities and robots is increasing. Also, with the development of IT technology, the utilization of the system using voice recognition is also increasing. Voice recognition technology is a technology that stands out in smart home and various IoT technologies, but it is difficult to apply to factories due to the specificity of factories. Therefore, in this study, a method to control an industrial articulated robot was designed using voice recognition technology that considers the situation at the manufacturing site. It was confirmed that the robot could be controlled through network protocol and command conversion after receiving voice commands for robot operation through mobile.

Development of Walking Assist Smartphone Case for Blind People (시각장애인의 보행보조를 위한 스마트폰 케이스 구현)

  • In this paper, we propose a walking assisting system for blind people using Android smartphone and Arduino board. In our proposed system, we use an Android smartphone case and an external ultrasonic sensor to detect the obstacles ahead. In this manner, blind people is able to aware unexpected objects by smartphone speakers or vibration functionality. In addition, the walking assisting system is also designed a notice system which will be triggered by built-in smartphone camera flash when blind people walk in some darkness place. The experimental results from real experiments on blind people have demonstrated the applicability of our walking assisting system, when it not only efficiently helps blind people avoid obstacles ahead but also possible traffic collisions in darkness condition.

  • Recently, the number of unmanned stores is increasing due to COVID-19. In unmanned stores, payments are mainly made using kiosks, but some people with physical disabilities or people with disabilities who use wheelchairs are not easy to use it. Also, young children and the elderly are also having difficulty using new technologies such as kiosks as they get older. In this study, in order to compensate for these problems, we intend to design and implement a system capable of performing order by a speech recognition function as well as a visual system when a user interacts with a kiosk.

  • 본 논문은 시각장애인에게 큰 위험이 되는 주거 공간 내 위험 요소들을 감시하고, 경고를 알리는 "시각장애인 주거 공간 내 스마트 안전 시스템"을 제안한다. 주요 특징은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 정해진 시간 또는 음성 명령이 입력되면 이동로봇이 각 방을 자율주행으로 순회하며 위험 요소를 측정한다. 레이저 거리 센서를 활용한 단차 측정값, 열화상 카메라를 활용한 물웅덩이 위험도, 웹캠을 활용한 물체 변위 값을 측정하여 서버에 전송한다. 둘째, 각 방에 설치된 인체 감지 센서를 통해 사용자의 접근을 인식하고, 방에 들어가기 전 서버에 저장된 측정 데이터를 기반으로 스마트 스피커를 통해 위험 요소를 알린다. 셋째, 앱을 통해 관리자가 즉시 검사, 기록조회, 방 정보 수정 등을 이용하여 시스템을 관리한다.

Study of the Noise Processing to Technique Speech Recognition System (음성인식 시스템에서의 잡음 제거 개선에 관한 연구)

  • Recognition system of noise processing technique. A method combining SNR normalization with RAS is considered as a noise Processing and the performance of the speech recognition system can be improved using other noise processing technique. Experiment of recognition system is the internal organs that using a general digital signal processor(TMS320C31). Recognition word set is composed of 60 command words for of Rce environment and order of computer. Simulation is considered as a colored noise of general environment. The results of experiment showed that the recognition word set gives 94.61% of efficiency of recognition at maximum in case of the combination of SNR normalization and spectral subtraction.

  • In this paper, we propose system that apply VIBL method to add speech recognition to LIBL method based on human s studying method to use natural language to steering system of ship, MERCS and winch appliances and use VIBL method to alternate process that linguistic instruction such as officer s steering instruction is achieved via ableman and control steering gear, MERCS and winch appliances. By specific method of study, ableman s suitable steering manufacturing model embodies intelligent steering gear controlling system that embody and language direction base studying method to present proper meaning element and evaluation rule to steering system of ship apply and respond more efficiently on voice instruction of commander using fuzzy inference rule. Also we embody system that recognize voice direction of commander and control MERCS and winch appliances. We embodied steering manufacturing model based on ableman s experience and presented rudder angle for intelligent steering system, compass bearing arrival time, evaluation rule to propose meaning element of stationary state and correct steerman manufacturing model rule using technique to recognize voice instruction of commander and change to text and fuzzy inference. Also we apply VIBL method to speech recognition ship control simulator and confirmed the effectiveness.

  • 본 시스템은 세 단계의 모델을 복합적으로 구성하여 이루어진다. 첫 단계로 사람의 음성언어를 텍스트로 전환한 후 사용자의 발화 의도를 분류해내는 BoW방식을 이용해 인간의 명령을 이해할 수 있는 자연어 처리 알고리즘을 구성한다. 이후 YOLOv3-tiny를 이용한 실시간 영상처리모델과 OctoMapping모델을 활용하여 주변환경에 대한 3차원 지도생성 후 지도데이터를 기반으로하여 동작하는 기구제어 알고리즘 등을 ROS actionlib을 이용한 관리자시스템을 구성하여 ROS와 딥러닝을 활용한 편리한 인간-로봇 상호작용 시스템을 제안한다.

  • 본 논문은 저시력자를 위한 체외진단 의료기기 결과 판독 시스템을 제안한다. 이 시스템은 YOLOv8n 객체 탐지 모델을 기반으로 하며, 라즈베리파이4B+에서 홈 디바이스 형태로 구현하였다. 사용자는 음성 및 물리 버튼을 통해 명령을 입력하고, 동작 감지를 통해 자동으로 체외진단 의료기기를 촬영하여 학습된 모델로 결과를 판독하고 해당 결과를 사용자에게 출력한다. 또한, 판독 결과물과 함께 검사 일시 및 의료기기 종류를 데이터베이스에 저장하여 사용자에게 보다 높은 편의성을 제공한다.
