  • This paper deals with the mechanical stress analysis due to electromagnetic forces and the optimal design of the link considering the stress. The link in Interior Permanent Magnet Brushless Motor(IPM) have influence on both mechanical and magnetic performance. The decrease of the link thickness serves to improve the torque, whereas this decreases the strength of link. Therefore, it is necessary to determine the appropriate link thickness considering electromagnetic forces and thermal expansion. The effects of the variation of link thickness on the mechanical stress and the electromagnetic performance are analyzed by the structural and electromagnetic Finite Element Method. In addition, the mechanical structure design of the link is performed to reinforce the mechanical strength against magnetic forces while preserving a food magnetic torque.

Pore Pressure Behavior of Normally Consolidated Deep Sea Clay (정규압밀된 심해점토의 간극수압 거동)

  • This paper presents triaxial test (CIVC and CKOUC) results on normally consolidated deep sea clay samples. Based on the test results the pore pressure-strain relations for both isotropicaly and anisotropicaly consgidated samples are expressed with hyperbolic functions of the major princpal strain. The analysis of the difference in pore pressure behavior due to the anisotropy in consolidation stress is carried out with the effective stress pathos of CIVC and CKOUC and finds a factor which correlates the pore pressure of two types of test.

  • In this paper, the safety of the crack existing between the load bearing part and the friction part in key slots was evaluated. The repetitive loading test considered impact damage was performed for the various crack models. Also, the probability of the crack propagation and the stress concentration at the crack tip were studied by using a FE analysis. By these method, safety of the disk was confirmed.

  • In this study, 3 kinds of holes (square, circular and elliptic holes) are attempted on a cantilever to reduce the weight by 30%. Maximum Von-Mises stresses of cantilever plate with 3 kinds of holes are investigated. For the elliptic holes, a shape optimization is attempted to fad the optimum angle of axis by rotating the axis by $10^{\circ}\; from\; 50^{\circ}\; to\; 120^{\circ}\;$ From the results, it is known that the maximum stress is decreased to 0.868 MPa by rotation of the axis of elliptic hole and 0.26 MPa is decreased compared with the maximum stress occurred on the circular hole.

  • Effects of non-cleaning and cleaning fluxes on the wetting properties and defects at flow soldered joints were investigated. Non-cleaning flux (R-type of 3.3% solid content) and cleaning flux (RMA-type of 15% solid content) were used. Wetting test was accomplished by wetting balance method with changing surface state of wetting specimen, CU. Sn-37%Pb solder was used for wetting test and flow soldering. As experimental results, the wetting time for vertical force from the surface tension being zero was mainly affected by surface state of the wetting specimen. Non-cleaning flux had a good wettability compared with cleaning flux. In case of non-cleaning flux, conveyor speed had a great affection to defects of bridge, icicle, and poor solder.

  • A rate-sensitive constitutive model was developed, with some simplifying assumptions, in the frame of the standard elastoplastic-viscous relation. The simulations performed using the model were successful for the normally consolidated cohesive soils with the advantage that the parameter values determined at a rate could be used at. different rates. Details on the parameters and additional modification of the model are presented in the successive paper.

  • An implicit stress integration algorithm was formulated for implementing an aiusotorpic hardening constitutive model which has been based op the generalized isotropic hardening rule in nonlinear finite element analysis technique. the rate form of stress tensor was implicitly integrated using the generalized trapezoidal rule and the tangent stress-strain modulus was evaluated consistently with the nonlinear solution technique. As a result, it has been found that the nonlinear analysis with the anisotropic hardening constitutive model might be performed accurately and efficiently.

  • F.R.P specimens were made by mixture CM(chopped mat) 450-104 matrix & RC(roving clothes)570-100 Roving, the mixture ratio Resin: hardener (92:8) for tensile test. It was also made of plates by hand lay-up method and was been cured for 24 hours and then was cut tensile specimens in accordance with ASTM D638 Type 3. Knowing exact behavior of bonded area's stress and strain when the tensile test was going on, the test specimens were made of 2 plies laminae of F.R.P in each for supporting cut part in middle of specimen length. And in middle part also were covered of F.R.P plies of 1/2, 2/3 length of specimen in each as well. Also we consider shear stress in adhered area. This study reveals that as plys length is more longer, rupture stress grows remarkably larger.

  • 금속기판과 액체금속의 젖음성은 일반적으로 액적법 (sessile drop)에 의해 고체와 액체간의 접촉각 측정을 통해서 알 수 있다. 이러한 방법에 의한 젖음성 실험결과는 고체와 액체계면에서의 반응이 무시될 수 있는 경우에 적용가는 하지만 연속용용도금공정과 같이 용융된 금속내부로 강판이 인입되는 과정에서 계면반응이 동적으로 진행되는 과정에서의 젖음성을 모사하기에는 이러한 방법의 신뢰성이 떨어지는 문제점이 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 실제 용융도금공정과 유사하게 소둔열처리된 저탄소강판이 환원성분위기내에서 Zn 및 Zn-Al 용융도금욕 내부로 연속적으로 인입되는 과정에서의 젖음력 및 접촉각 등의 측정을 통해 실제 도금공정상의 도금성과 젖음성의 연관성을 규명하고자하였다. 연구결과 일반적인 Zn 도금욕의 경우 젖음성이 양호하지만 Al함량이 높은 경우에는 젖음성이 좋지 못한 것으로 나타났다.
