Micron-Sized Hollow Plastic Pigment (마이크론 크기의 중공 유기 안료)

  • Syntheses of monodisperse and micron-sized hollow plastic pigment (HPP) were carried out through the core-shell reaction. The effects of the reaction parameters, such as the particle size, molecular weight, the swelling time, agitation rate, and the solid contect were investigated. This micron-sized HPP could be made by using the alkali soluble core with at least bigger than 200 nm size. To obtain a higher opacity ratio, the swelling time and molecular weight of the core should be controlled. The agitation rate affected the particle's morphology. To prevent the shell destruction, the agitation rate must be sufficiently low in case of the syntheses of micron-sized HPP. In this study, micron-sized HPP exhibiting the high hiding power and narrow particle distribution could be obtained.

  • Conspiracy theory is often considered as a kind of paranoid and an act of throwing all the blame solely on the Big Other who is presumed to control all the incidents behind the curtain. While, it is also assessed as a socio-political sub-culture and a way of interpreting the world full of closure and insufficient information, keeping us from grasping 'the totality'. Meanwhile recent conspiracy films reflect the ever dense and concealed anatomy of the world now. And it reveals some kind of ideological tendency which is, 'sense of catastrophe' and 'non-ideology' reflecting the world of late capitalism society. This article intends to examine the altered representational appearance and ideology in recent conspiracy films so as to understand how the conspiracy theory, the social-political interpretational mechanism, is converged into the film narrative against the backdrop of late capitalism, a socio-political condition we live in.

Biological Determinism as Dominant Ideology (지배이데올로기로서 생물학결정론)

  • With the intention of revealing that biological determinism is not the truth verified as scientific facts but ideology which conceals or reproduces the white male-centered social order of western capitalism, this article considered the peculiarities of human being from a perspective of cultural anthropology and examined the social contexts of biological determinism. From these studies, it found that the human is not born, but rather become, that biological determinism, from phrenology and social evolutionism to social biology and IQ determinism, emerged for the breakthrough of crisis in which a number of disclosed social contradictions drove the established ruling order into a collapse, and that it cannot but function as dominant ideology rationalizing racial, ethnic, class and gender discriminations. Hence, bioscience must overcome biological determinism in order to be the hope of both all people and all sort of life. But it is without the transformation of unequal structures that the problem of biological determinism cannot be surmountable at all.

Preparation of Bismuth Vanadate Pigment from Aqueous Solutions (습식법에 의한 Bismuth Vanadate 안료의 제조)

  • Bismuth vanadate is one of the environmentally benign substitutes for conventional inorganic pigments composed of heavy metals. The effect of process parameters on the physical properties of bismuth vanadate pigment prepared from aqueous solutions of potassium vanadate and bismuth nitrate were experimentally examined. Two aqueous solutions were fed into precipitation chamber at the same flow rate, and precipitates were formed at primary pH of 4.5 and secondary pH of 7.0~7.5. After aging for 3 hours in reaction mixture, 3 hours' calcination at $400^{\circ}C$ gave bismuth vanadate pigment with a good color and hiding power. Increase in molybdenum concentration in reaction mixture increased the hiding power of the pigment, but the other minor constituents had minor effect on the physical properties of the pigment.

A Study on Moral Recognition of Blog Activity with China Netizen (중국 네티즌의 블로그 활동 윤리의식에 관한 연구)

  • This study has a blog usage experience with china netizen. We found the impact that blog usage motive, usage type, blog involvement and political-society disposition influence on a moral recognition with a blog activity. Results were as follows: First, A blog usage motive appeared seven, self-expressive and informational search motives were revealed that we had an influence on moral recognition of blog activity. Second, they had the difference in a blog usage motive according to a blog involvement and blog involvement reveled that we had an influence on moral recognition of blog activity. Third, the society involvement disposition of china netizen had an influence on moral recognition of blog activity, it effects on significantly social motivation of blog usage. The implication of this study is a follows. We verified the blog usage motive, type, blog involvement and society involvement disposition are important elements which understand a blog activity. Finally, we confirmed that psychological and social motive related to moral recognition of blog activity.

Geochemical Characteristics of Clinopyroxenes in the Upper Mantle Rocks under the Baegryeong Island and the Boeun (백령도와 보은 지역의 상부맨틀암석 내의 단사휘석의 지화학적 특징)

  • Modal and chemical compositions of clinopyroxnes in spinel peridotites from the Baegryeong Island and the Boeun, enclosed in Miocene alkali basalt, are important for understanding the pre-eruptive temperature condition and chemical processes such as mantle depletion and enrichment. All spinel peridotites show transitional texture between protogranular and porphyroclastic textures. Temperature ranges of spinel peridotites from the Baegryeong Island and the Boeun at 15 kb are 773∼1188℃ and 705∼1106℃, respectively. The spinel peridotites from the Baegryeong Island and the Boeun have undergone the 1∼10% and 1∼4% fractional melting, which were determined by using primitive mantle-normalized Y and Yb of clinopyroxenes. LREE enrichment patterns of clinopyroxene indicate that these rocks from both areas have undergone cryptic mantle metasomatism without new minerals.

Agree or Disagree? An Insidious Obstacle to Knowledge Contribution: The Role of Team Status Disagreement (팀의 지식 공헌을 가로막는 조용한 장벽: 팀원의 위상(지위) 불일치를 중심으로)

  • Research on social hierarchy is a growing research topic in the studies of management and organization. Despite the abundance of studies demonstrating the relevance of social hierarchy in teams, little understanding exists for status disagreement among team members, specifically how status disagreement reduces team members' contributions to influence team performance. This conceptual study argues that team status disagreement negatively impacts team performance through reduced team member's knowledge contribution, including reduced team knowledge sharing and increased knowledge hiding. In addition, we propose that team skill differentiation aggravates the negative effect of status disagreement, such that when team skill differentiation is high, teams under high status disagreement are more likely to experience detracted team performance. This research mainly discusses status disagreement and its effect on team knowledge contributions by reviewing previous literature and developing several propositions, suggests theoretical contributions and practical implications, and presents an agenda for future research.

  • Aircraft searchlights are used in search or rescue missions when performing night missions, and provide infrared light to keep operations in concealment. During aircraft operation, the infrared ray transmission filter glass for generating infrared rays can break, resulting in problems such as loss of concealment ability and maintenance. In this paper, we describe the procedure for testing the operating conditions of the searchlight when the defect occurs and finding the cause of the defect. We also summarize various methods to improve the cause and process of making the improved filter prototype. In addition, we also describe the results of verifying the performance requirements of the searchlight. As a result of the test and verification, the damage of the filter was improved and the improved filter was applied to the aircraft.

Steganography Software Analysis -Focusing on Performance Comparison (스테가노그래피 소프트웨어 분석 연구 - 성능 비교 중심으로)

  • Steganography is a science of embedding secret data into innocent data and its goal is to conceal the existence of a carrier data. Many research on Steganography has been proposed by various hiding and detection techniques that are based on different algorithms. On the other hand, very few studies have been conducted to analyze the performance of each Steganography software. This paper describes five different Steganography software, each having its own algorithms, and analyzes the difference of each inherent feature. Image quality metrics of Peak Signal to Noise Ratio (PSNR) and Structural SIMilarity (SSIM) are used to define its performance of each Steganography software. We extracted PSNR and SSIM results of a quantitative amount of embedded output images for those five Steganography software. The results will show the optimal steganography software based on the evaluation metrics and ultimately contribute to forensics.

Branch Prediction Latency Hiding Scheme using Branch Pre-Prediction and Modified BTB (분기 선예측과 개선된 BTB 구조를 사용한 분기 예측 지연시간 은폐 기법)

  • Precise branch predictor has a profound impact on system performance in modern processor architectures. Recent works show that prediction latency as well as prediction accuracy has a critical impact on overall system performance as well. However, prediction latency tends to be overlooked. In this paper, we propose Branch Pre-Prediction policy to tolerate branch prediction latency. The proposed solution allows that branch predictor can proceed its prediction without any information from the fetch engine, separating the prediction engine from fetch stage. In addition, we propose newly modified BTE structure to support our solution. The simulation result shows that proposed solution can hide most prediction latency with still providing the same level of prediction accuracy. Furthermore, the proposed solution shows even better performance than the ideal case, that is the predictor which always takes a single cycle prediction latency. In our experiments, IPC improvement is up to 11.92% and 5.15% in average, compared to conventional predictor system.
