A Study on the Development of Block Type Smart Classroom under the Educational Conditions in Africa (아프리카 지역의 교육 여건에 따른 블록형 스마트 교실 구축방안 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to present a block type smart classroom model for comprehensive supply of educational contents, classroom environment and ICT technology in African countries where educational infrastructure is weak. It will provide a contextual solution that integrates learning management, power management, and classroom environment management systems, and will be a convergence model that can optimize economic and non-economic conditions for different African countries. It can be expected to enhance utilization as it is a differentiated model from existing classrooms with a single container, as well as independent research and development centered on services, content, and solutions. Through this integrated research process, we can overcome the spatial and functional limitations appearing in single container classrooms and build a flexible space for advanced e-learning technology. The depth and scope of the follow-up study can be carried by investigating the performance and models that are in line with the educational and infrastructure conditions of the various regions.

  • Advances in technologies about 3D (three-dimensional) printing and smart factory related issues will have the effect of reducing the cost of building a smart factory and making various types of service available. Manufacturers and service providers of small assets work with outside experts to provide small amounts of customized ordering services. If customers have to disclose their private information to subscribe to a new service, they may be reluctant to use it and the availability of developed technology may cause slow progress. We propose a new protocol for customized order service for smart factory. The proposed approach is designed to meet requirements of security and based on smart contract in IoT convergence network. We analyzed the requirements of the proposed approach which provided anonymity, privacy, fairness, and non-repudiation. We compared it with closely related studies to show originality and differences.

  • In this paper, we propose an efficient object classification method based on semantic segmentation for multi-labeled image data. In addition to various pixel unit information and processing techniques such as color information, contour, contrast, and saturation included in image data, a detailed region in which each object is located is extracted as a meaningful unit and the experiment is conducted to reflect the result in the inference. We use a neural network that has been proven to perform well in image classification to understand which object is located where image data containing various class objects are located. Based on these researches, we aim to provide artificial intelligence services that can classify real-time detailed areas of complex images containing various objects in the future.

  • AI is applied increasingly to overall industries such as living, medical, financial service, autonomous car, etc. thanks to rapid technology development. AI-leading countries are strengthening their competency to secure competitiveness since AI is positioned as the core technology in $4^{th}$ Industrial Revolution. Although Korea has the competitive IT infra and human resources, it lags behind traditional AI-leaders like United States, Canada, Japan and, even China which devotes all its might to develop intelligent technology-intentive industry. AI is the critical technology influencing on the national industry in the near future according to advancement of intelligent information society so that concentration of capability is required with national interest. Also, joint development with global AI-leading companies as well as development of own technology are crucial to prevent technology subordination. Additionally, regulatory reform and preparation of related law are very urgent.

  • The Video See-through HMD(VSHMD) captures real-world view through a camera set mounted in front of the HMD. The VSHMD outputs this visual information in real time through the display in the HMD, which technique can be used as mixed reality, augmented reality, and virtual reality device. Recently, there is growing interest in VSHMD due to the rapid development of camera and display technology. However, VSHMD is still not free from many technical huddles and human factor issues. This paper summarizes the VSHMD related researches so far, presents the major issues to be solved in advance, and suggests design considerations that should be beneficial to VSHMD development, focused on the human factors, that presents solutions to effectively overcome the limitations of VSHMD functionalities in current.

  • Today, each company focuses on maximizing customer satisfaction by providing the best service. This study examined the effect of coffee shop on customer satisfaction. In addition, we examined the effect of customer satisfaction on revisit intention and word of mouth. The results of this study are as follows: First, in order to investigate the satisfaction of customers using coffee specialty shops, data were gathered through questionnaires and 142 customers were analyzed using statistical analysis, It is important to have a positive image of the company and to influence the decision to repurchase, and should not overlook the role of generating new customers through word of mouth. Second, customers tend to be price-oriented, practical and reasonable. To meet these customers' needs, it is important to attract a large number of products at the same time to attract customers.

  • The interconnectedness of all things is continuously expanding. For example, bluetooth low energy (BLE) beacons are wireless radio transmitters that can send an identifier to nearby receivers and trigger a number of applications, from proximity marketing to indoor location-based service. iBeacon technology which is one of the newest technologies in the smart tourism field, is reckoned as being very useful for travelers in enhancing the experience with visiting places. However, there is consequently not much existing research yet about the connection between iBeacon technology and tourism destination. Considering that, this study analyzes the adoption of iBeacon in tourism destination, this study examine the interrelationships and feedback structures of key factors in iBeacon adoption. To serve the purpose, this study used system dynamics approach to develop a model of iBeacon adoption in tourism destination. The analysis results showed that the concept of 'Social Influences' is one of the significant predictors for individual's intention behavior to accept iBeacon, and word of mouth (WOM), subjective norm, privacy concern, and perceived usefulness are key factors influencing the iBeacon adoption.

  • Due to the fourth industrial revolution called 'fusion and connection', interest in 'high connectivity society' and 'highland society' is increasing, and related objects are not limited to automation and connected cars. The Internet of Things is the main concern of the 4th Industrial Revolution and it is expected to play an important role in establishing the basis of the next generation mobile communication service. Several domestic and foreign companies have been studying various types of LPWANs for the construction of the Internet based on things, and there is Semtech's LoRaWAN technology as representative. LoRaWAN is a long-distance, low-power network designed to manage a large number of devices and sensors, with communications from hundreds to thousands to thousands of devices and sensors. In this paper, we analyze the optimum node capacity of gateway for maximum performance while reducing resource waste in using LoRaWAN.

  • Various cryptographic technologies have been proposed from ancient times and are developing in various ways to ensure the confidentiality of information. Due to exponentially increasing computer power, the encryption key is gradually increasing for security. Technology are being developed; however, security is guaranteed only in a short period of time. With the advent of the 4th Industrial Revolution, encryption technology is required in various fields. Recently, encryption technology using homomorphic encryption has attracted attention. Security threats arise due to the exposure of keys and plain texts used in the decryption processing for the operation of encrypted information. The homomorphic encryption can compute the data of the cipher text and secure process the information without exposing the plain text. When using the homomorphic encryption in processing big data like stored personal information in various services, security threats can be avoided because there is no exposure to key usage and decrypted information.

  • Along with hair beauty, skin beauty, and nail beauty, according to the rapidly changing social flow of industrialization and appearanceism, makeup is acting as an important means for successful social life and smooth human relationships. Accordingly, the realistic need to increase sales of the beauty industry by investigating individual preferred makeup colors from various angles is emerging. Therefore, the makeup interest and color preference according to the pursuit of appearance management were analyzed for women in their teens to 40s living in Gwangju Metropolitan City and Jeollanam-do. As a result of the study, it was found that service workers, students, and teenagers and younger usually wear a lot of makeup. ) was found to be the most used. Through this study, I believe that it will be used as basic data for future makeup product development as well as application data for color selection by makeup artists as well as to increase sales of beauty shops.
