Design and Implementation of Intelligent Management System for Retail Stores using RFID Technology (RFID 기술을 적용한 지능형 유통매장 관리시스템 설계 및 구현)

  • In this paper, we discuss design and implementation of intelligent retail store management system through the application of RFID technology to effectively manage retail stores. Firstly, we defined functionality required for system development, designed the system structure, and proposed the service control procedures. Secondly, we implemented the designed system, and then conducted related tests to verify functionality and performance of the system. As a result, we confirmed through functional tests including 129 items that everything was normal behavior, and were able to determine the performance through testing of RFID middleware, RFID readers and tags.

  • Recently, the retail industry has created efficient store operations, and has differentiated customer service through the future store. The intelligence of these stores is being applied by using technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT), and the business process is being improved through this. The process also focuses on efficient store operations and service developments to provide customers with shopping convenience. The change in trends in the industry means that domestic distribution has already reached maturity. Even in countries where retail industries are mature, such as the U.S. and Europe, recent trends are moving toward maximizing operational efficiency and customer service. The reason is that many retailers have already reached saturation and survived the competition. This paper is a study of a drive-through service for automation and efficiency in receiving service after ordering by a customer of the distribution store. When ordering a product being purchased by a customer, the product picking process is done in a timely fashion through a picking scheduling agent. When the customer enters the store parking lot, a service supports the entry of information and finding a parking place so the customer can quickly pick up the goods. The proposed service can be applied to a retail store drive-through system, the distribution store's delivery system, the digital picking system, and indoor/outdoor large parking management systems, and it is possible to provide one-dimensional customer service through the application of IoT technology.

  • 본 논문에서는 유통 매장에서 상품 진열대 및 상품 보관 창고에 있는 상품의 부족 현상(결품)으로 인한 판매 손실을 최소화하기 위해 적시에 상품을 보충 할 수 있도록 RFID기반 판매 및 재고 상품의 실시간 모니터링을 이용한 자동보충진열 지원 시스템을 제안한다. 제안하는 시스템은 매장의 진열상품과 재고상품에 대한 정보 파악이 실시간으로 가능하며, 지능형 학습에 의한 안전재고 임계값 계산 및 자동 공지 에이전트를 통해 효율적으로 자동 발주 프로세스를 지원해 줄 수 있어 상품 진열대 및 창고의 재고 상품을 효율적으로 관리할 수 있다.

  • 20년 전인 1993년 11월 12일 우리나라 대표 대형마트인 이마트(대표이사 허인철)가 탄생했다. 그리고 지금으로부터 4년 전인 2009년 12월 21일에는 아름다운 청풍명월의 고장인 충북 제천시에 제127호 이마트 매장이 들어서게 된다. 이마트 제천점은 연매출 600억 원의 점포로, 직영사원 140명과 매장협력임대사원 300명의 상생협력을 통해 제천시 강제동 유통업무지역의 대표적인 대형할인점으로 굳건히 자리 잡았다. 이곳 이마트 제천점의 안전을 책임지고 있는 권오일 안전팀장은 오픈 점포와 유독이 인연이 있으면서 '오픈 점포의 안전달인'이라는 별명을 가지고 있다. 2003년 신세계 이마트에 입사하여 청주점, 아산점, 그리고 현재 제첨점까지. 그가 몸담아 왔던 곳이 모두 오픈점이었는데, 오픈 점포에 맞는 안전시스템 구축에 탁월한 역량을 발휘하면서, 청주점 무재해 3배, 아산점 무재해 2배, 제천점 무재해 3배 달성 등을 이끌어왔다. 이로 인해 안전보건공단 공로표창장 및 상패(3회), 대전지방고용노동청 청주지청 및 충주지청장 표창(2회) 등 많은 공적을 남겼다.

Design of Path Weighting Data Analysis System for Efficient Product Arrangement (효율적인 상품 배치를 위한 경로 가중치 데이터 분석 시스템 설계)

  • Commercial analysis has been used for a lot of reasons such as improving the distribution structure, operational cost savings. However, existing commercial assay system is mostly flow through the analysis of the population and the environment around the store. Therefore, in this paper, we design a path weighted data analysis system for efficient product arrangement. It is not applying the analysis method of the existing commercial sales center but the data analysis system applying the weight to the form of customers' paths in a store. In conjunction with the existing POS system, it provides effective product placement in department stores, such as supermarkets, convenience stores. To this end, a system that maximizes efficiency of product placement in stores, receiving path data, converting them into statistics data that apply the weight, and printing out them into a visualized monitering system for the manager to see was designed.

  • POS(Point of Sales) 시스템이란 매출을 발생시키는 유통업체 금전출납계에 설치되어 매장에서 발생하는 판매시점의 모든 정보를 실시간으로 수집, 가공, 처리, 저장하여 각 부문별 정보를 분석, 평가, 종합 할 수 있는 상품의 판매 결과를 기록하는 시스템이다. 다양한 업종에서 POS SYSTEM(주문 관리 시스템)의 도입으로 보다 효율적인 업무를 처리하고 있지만 기존의 획일적인 POS 시스템들은 고가의 전용장비를 이용하고 물리적인 제약으로 인하여 비용, 규모, 구성면에서 적합하지 않다. 본 논문에서 제안한 유비쿼터스 기반의 ZigBee 를 이용한 시스템은 휴대단말기의 무선제어 기술과 연계를 통해 여타 기술 대비 편리성, 재사용성 및 시스템 구축 비용의 절감을 통해 시스템의 효율성을 높일 것 이다. 또한 네트워크 단축 경로 검색 기술과 양방향 통합 리모콘 설계와 같은 유비쿼터스 기반의 ZigBee 기술을 통해 시스템의 부가가치를 높이는 등 산업에 보다 나은 발전을 가져오게 될 것으로 전망된다.

Mobile Point-of-Sales System (모바일 판매 시점 관리 시스템)

  • We propose a mobile point-of-sale system, which consists of only mobile information terminals and personal computers. The proposed system provides most of functionalities related with resource planning, adminstration and management, provided by medium-scale or large-scale POS systems, with additional functionalities, such as automatic information gathering and management through mobile interconnection, while eliminating the necessity of additional special-purpose devices, such as bar-code systems. The proposed system transmits order information through wireless and wired communication lines, thus allowing real-time sharing of order information among diverse information devices, such as mobile order receiving terminals, main server within stores, monitors and printers located in production lines. Also, the system is able to transfer such detail information produced within stores in real-time to the enterprise-level accounting, sales, logistics, personnel management system, which facilitate enterprise-wide management and administrative decision-making. No additional programs are required for mobile terminals. Order information received by such terminals are entered into databases through web server of main server and that information is again transferred to main server and production line printers. The proposed system can handle all the point-of-sale information and can provide almost of the POS functionalities by simply utilizing wireless internet, personal computers, and mobile terminals without installing specific-purpose peripheral devices. The proposed system can be widely applied to the small-scale stores and will contribute in reducing construction and maintenance cost required for point-of-sale management.

  • This paper makes a detailed comparison between two metrics designed for measuring customer's satisfaction in the retail industry. The first metric, which is called the customer service level, has not been widely used due to the intrinsic requirement on the parameter assumption(s) of the demand distribution. Unlike the customer service level metric the in stock ratio metric does not require any requirements on the demand distribution. And the in stock ratio metric is also very easy to understand the meaning. To develop the detailed planning activities for business with the in stock ratio metric on hand one should collect some information as following : 1) POS (Point of sales) data, 2) Inventory Data 3) Inventory Trend.

  • RFID and Kiosk has been acquiring the essential position not only for providing simple information but also as the tool for establishing Ubiquitous based society. Especially it can be said that the time for developing various Kiosks as important methods to conducting marketing and service through the differentiation and easiness on dealing information has come. Considering the present requirement, 'U-Commerce System' has been designed and developed. In the system, the RFID reader installed in 'U-Shop Kiosk System' recognizes the RFID tag on situated the specific products and detail product information and related multimedia advertisement are provided. Moreover, when the customers have the needs to purchase concerned products on the spot, they can pay and order by using credit cards. By employing the system, the amount of stock and delivery condition can be monitored in real time and the gathered information in DB can be used for dealing with stock related matters. In addition, a system can be developed to monitor and manage the remote shops in real time base. Furthermore, to overcome the limit of simple unmanned ubiquitous style Kiosk, the possibility of developing an expansion model of ubiquitous style CRM Kiosk has been suggested.

  • 최근에는 비교적 상황이 나아졌지만, 한때 코로나19로 오프라인 매장에서 마스크를 쉽게 구할 수 없었다. 대신 마스크에 대한 수요와 '사회적 거리 두기'와 함께 온라인 구매가 급격히 증가했다. 온라인 구매가 갈수록 증가하고 있지만, 여전히 소비자는 각각의 홈페이지에서 배송상태를 확인하고 있다. 본 연구는 코로나19 후에도 활발히 이루어질 온라인 유통에 주목하면서, 종합적으로 소비자 개인이 자신이 주문한 상품을 조회하는 방안을 제시하였다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 스마트폰 카메라로 명함을 찍어 비즈니스를 돕는 리맴버의 운영방식처럼 휴대폰 카메라로 명세서를 찍어 정보를 종합한 뒤, 자신의 소비량과 예상 배송기간을 바탕으로 상품 보유량을 확인하는 방법을 제안하였다.
