  • 본 논문은 기존의 강압적인 형태의 한글 교육 선행 학습이 아닌 창의적이고 입체적인 에듀테이먼트 교구인 블록 퍼즐과 아두이노를 이용한 명령 센서, 카메라 반사경을 통한 영상 입력을 통해 ICT 융합형 블록 퍼즐기반의 에듀테인먼트 교구를 설계하고자 한다. 즉, 모바일 콘텐츠를 통해 유아에게 교육을 제시하고 유아는 모바일 콘텐츠와 블록 퍼즐 교구, 명령 센서를 통해 입력 영상을 인식하게 한다. 이러한 블록 퍼즐 기반의 에듀테인먼트 교구를 통해서 한글 학습을 놀이 과정 속에서 창의력과 문제 해결 능력을 키울 뿐 만 아니라 스스로 학습을 이끌어가는 자기주도적 학습 능력을 키울 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

  • 교육의 질이 향상됨과 동시에 학습 콘텐츠의 질 역시 향상되고 있고 어플리케이션, AI, AR 등 다양한 기술들과 접목된 다양한 교육 방식들이 존재하게 되었다. 이와 함께 스마트폰의 기술 발달과 보급률 증가에 따라 다양한 기술들과 접목된 교육용 어플리케이션들에 대한 접근 또한 쉬워지고 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 유아의 학습 능력을 조사하여, 단어 학습에 있어 의미파악, 단어 인지, 바른 발음 지도 등을 길러 줄 수 있도록 AR 기술을 접목한 교육용 AR 어플리케이션을 설계하고 이를 구현하였다. 본 논문에서 개발한 어플리케이션은 유아의 인지와 학습 방법을 토대로 하여 바른 발음과 철자를 지도하고, 단어 학습에 있어 낱말이 가진 의미파악을 도와주며, 반복학 습을 통하여 단어를 인지하고 사용할 수 있도록 도와준다. 본 논문의 어플리케이션은 AR 기술을 융합하여 이미지만을 사용한 교육보다 쉽게 의미를 파악하는데 도움을 줄 수 있고 이에 따라 인지 능력도 상승시켜 줄 것이라 기대한다.

  • There are various remedies that are proposed from aspects of education and social welfare for social integration of multi-cultural families which is different from ethnic and cultural background. This study proposed educational process model for information literacy education of multi-cultural children. The proposed model is consedered to reduce digital divide by using five factor from the earlier information literacy. At last, this study explained characteristics, objective, contents, teaching-learning method and estimating method of proposed model.

  • 코딩 교육이 초등학생부터 의무화 되어 프로그래밍의 중요성이 날이 갈수록 높아지고 있고, 현재 전 세계 공용어인 영어는 필수라 할 수 있게 된 사회이다. 본 논문에서는 유아에게 코딩과 영어를 지루하고 어려운 것일 거라는 틀을 깨고 쉽게 접할 수 있도록 하는 STEAM 코딩 교육을 적용한 유아용 영어 학습 콘텐츠를 제안한다. 유아가 직접 방향 코딩을 하여 길을 찾아가는 과정에서의 창의력 발달과 목적지에 도착했을 때 해당 과일의 영단어를 확인하고 발음을 듣게 하여 언어능력발달에 도움이 될 것 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

The Effects of 'Activity Program for Effective Storytelling' on Empathic Ability and Language Teaching Efficacy of Story Grandmother ('효과적인 이야기전달을 위한 활동 프로그램'이 이야기할머니와 유아 간의 공감능력 및 언어교수효능감에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate effects of 'activity program for effective storytelling' on the empathic ability and language teaching efficacy of a story grandmother. The subjects were 51 beautiful story grandmothers in Gangwon, Gyeongsangdo and Seoul. The research tools used the emotional empathy scale of Jeon(2003), and language teaching efficacy scale of Kim and Lee(2011). As for the research procedure, from March 06 to July 27, 2017, an 'activity program for effective storytelling' was conducted. For data analysis, a t-test of the corresponding sample was conducted to find the difference between the pre- and post-scores of the two variables. As a result of the study, first, the cognitive empathy ability between the story grandmother and the young children after applying the 'activity program for effective storytelling' was higher than that of the dictionary. Second, the language teaching efficacy between the story grandmother and the young children after applying the 'activity program for effective storytelling' was higher than that of the dictionary. Therefore, the 'activity program for effective storytelling' suggests that there is a positive effect on improving the cognitive empathic ability and language teaching efficacy of the story grandmothers.

The Effects of Age and Information Processing Style on Abilities of Young Children to Understand Spatial Coordinates (유아의 정보처리양식과 연령이 공간좌표인식능력에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of young children's age and information processing style in understanding spatial coordinates. For sampling the subjects of this study, Korean version K-ABC Intelligence Test(Moon, Soo-Back, 1997)was conducted with 165 children aged 5-6 who were attending I and G kindergarten in D city. From this pool 30 children who possessed sequential processing style and 30 children who possessed simultaneous processing style were sampled. In order to analyze the understanding of spatial coordinates, a test tool was formulated according to methodology of Blades & Spencer(1989) which was modified. Acquired data was subjected to descriptive and comparative statistical analysis. The following conclusions were arrived at: Firstly, there was significant difference between 5-year-olds and 6-year-olds in understanding spatial coordinates. The 6-year-old group got statistically higher grades than the 5-year-old group in locating a point on the coordinate plane and reading the coordinate numbers. Secondly, there was significant difference between children's information processing style in understanding spatial coordinate. Children with high simultaneous-low sequential processing showed higher performance in locating a point on the coordinate plane and reading coordinate numbers than children with high sequential-low simultaneous processing. Thirdly, after verifying statistical significance of interactivity between young children's age and children's processing strength, there was significant interactive effects in both tasks.

Early Identification of Gifted Young Children and Dynamic assessment (유아 영재의 판별과 역동적 평가)

  • The importance of identifying gifted children during early childhood is becoming recognized. Nonetheless, most researchers preferred to study the primary and secondary levels where children are already and more clearly demonstrating what talents they have, and where more reliable predictions of gifted may be made. Comparatively lisle work has been done in this area. When we identify giftedness during early childhood, we have to consider the potential of the young children rather than on actual achievement. Giftedness during early childhood is still developing and less stable than that of older children and this prevents us from making firm and accurate predictions based on children's actual achievement. Dynamic assessment, based on Vygotsky's concept of the zone of proximal development(ZPD), suggests a new idea in the way the gifted young children are identified. In light of dynamic assessment, for identifying the potential giftedness of young children. we need to involve measuring both unassisted and assisted performance. Dynamic assessment usually consists of a test-intervene-retest format that focuses attention on the improvement in child performance when an adult provides mediated assistance on how to master the testing task. The advantages of the dynamic assessment are as follows: First, the dynamic assessment approach can provide a useful means for assessing young gifted child who have not demonstrated high ability on traditional identification method. Second, the dynamic assessment approach can assess the learning process of young children. Third, the dynamic assessment can lead an individualized education by the early identification of young gifted children. Fourth, the dynamic assessment can be a more accurate predictor of potential by linking diagnosis and instruction. Thus, it can make us provide an educational treatment effectively for young gifted children.

  • 본 논문은 기존의 전자동화책과는 달리 유아들에게 보다 효율적이고 효과적인 전자동화책을 제작하기 위해 유아의 학습 능력을 강조하여 오프라인의 출판 원작동화의 내용과 그림을 안드로이드 기반으로 인터렉티브 에듀테인먼트 컨텐츠를 제안하고자 한다. 즉, 동화책 내용을 음성으로 듣기 기능은 물론 줄거리에 맞춰 캐릭터들이 살아 움직이도록 인터렉티브 액션을 통하여 기능을 구현하기 위한 프로토타입을 제안한다.

Case Study on Flip Learning Application to Preparatory Childhood Teachers (예비유아교사의 플립러닝 적용 사례 연구)

  • This study was conducted to identify the experience that applied Flip Learning to preparatory childhood teachers. The target of study is 76 students who were in the first semester of the first year of three-year early childhood education major and took teaching profession subjects for 2 credits. The semester was run for 13 week-course from the beginning of March to the middle of June. Flip Learning was applied to all the classes. Data was collected through qualitative analysis of participants' journals and was concluded with the category of three strengths and four weaknesses. The strengths were firstly active class participation, secondly repetition learning, and thirdly self directed learning. The weaknesses were firstly a burden on class time, secondly improvement on Flip Learning methods, and thirdly a need of ability for self-directed learning and fourthly the experience of environmental unstability for prior learning. It suggests application examples of more effective teaching and learning methods for college professors and students through the case that applied Flip Learning to preparatory early childhood teachers.
