This study investigated the relations of adolescents' attitudes toward risk behaviors, perceived benefits and costs, and their risk behaviors. The subjects were 955 high school freshmen in the Daegu$\cdot$Kyungpook area. The major findings were as follows. (1) Adolescents' attitudes toward risk behaviors were positively associated with the perceived benefits of adolescent risk behaviors, but these were negatively associated with the perceived costs of adolescent risk behaviors. (2) Compared to boys, girls had more positive attitudes toward adolescent drinking. In addition, girls perceived more benefits but less costs of adolescent risk behaviors than did boys. (3) There were no gender differences in the relationships between dependent variables and adolescent risk behaviors.

This study explore the perceived differences of factors influencing the shared accommodation in China, and the influencing paths of consumers' use of shared accommodation. This paper collects the questionnaire survey of the Chinese shared accommodation user and applies method of Amos V23.0. The results showed that perceived usefulness and perceived pleasure had positive effects on trust, and they also have indirect positive effects on perceived intention through trust, while perceived risk and perceived ease of use had no significant effects on trust. The conclusion is helpful to promote the long-term development of sharing accommodation companies by satisfying the needs of consumers from the point of view of consumers.
Recently, car sharing has shown the most remarkable growth among sharing economy services. In the process of analyzing the intention to reuse the car sharing service, this study tried to reflect the unique characteristics of the service, which consists of non-face-to-face self-service, such as reservation, approval, handover, inspection, and return of the vehicle. Specifically, in addition to the perceived benefits and the perceived risks, we considered 'information quality' as a platform characteristic and 'self-efficacy' as a personal characteristic. To collect data, an online survey was conducted on adults with experience in car sharing, and a total of 320 responses were used for analysis. As a result of analyzing the structural equation model, it was found that information quality and self-efficacy increased the perceived benefits of services, and the higher the information quality, the higher the self-efficacy. On the other hand, the role of information quality and self-efficacy in lowering perceived risks was insignificant, and the intention to reuse services was more affected by perceived benefits than perceived risks. As a result of further analysis using Process Macro, it was found that the effect of self-efficacy on reuse intention was mediated by perceived benefits. It was analyzed that the indirect effects of information quality on reuse intention through perceived benefits or self-efficacy were all significant. These results suggest that providing timely, sufficient, and easy-to-understand information required by users on the platform improves self-efficacy and increases service reuse intention. In order to increase the number of service users, it is important for service providers not only to provide promotional activities such as offering attractive prices, but also to provide high-quality information so that users can use it more easily.
This study intends to examine how the perception of covid-19 risk affects consumers' consumption behavior based on previous studies in a situation where the spread of covid-19 is prolonged. This study demonstrates how consumers' perception of covid-19 risk affects online and offline consumption behavior through the perceived severity, perceived vulnerability, coping effectiveness, and self-efficacy of the revised protective motivation theory (Rogers, 1983). We want to test it through analysis. In order to achieve the purpose of this study, consumers living in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province who have purchased within the past 3 months were selected as a sample. In addition, variable data such as risk perception of covid-19, perceived severity, perceived vulnerability, coping effectiveness, self-efficacy, online purchase attitude and purchase intention, offline purchase attitude and purchase intention were collected through the questionnaire.A total of 363 copies of valid responses were tested to test the hypothesis of the relationship between variables through the covariance structure model. The analysis results of this study were first, that covid-19 risk perception had a significant positive (+) effect on perceived severity, perceived vulnerability, and coping effectiveness. Second, perceived severity and perceived vulnerability were found to have a significant positive (+) effect on offline purchasing attitude. Third, perceived severity, perceived vulnerability, coping plan effectiveness, and self-efficacy were all found to have significant positive (+) effects on online purchase attitude. Finally, it was found that offline purchase attitude and online purchase attitude had a significant positive (+) effect on offline purchase intention and online purchase intention, respectively. Also, it was found that online purchase attitude had a negative (-) effect on offline purchase intention. The results of this analysis will provide meaningful implications for the establishment of strategies for distribution channels according to the social risk of infectious diseases.
The purpose of this study was to 1) replicate the Wells effect(i.e., reluctance to rule against the Defendant solely on the basis of probabilistic evidence) in Korea and 2) examine the validity of an Alternative explanation(i.e., perception of risk of wrong verdict). In study 1(n=46), mock jurors in the tire-tracks condition were reluctant to rule against the defendant based on their perceived probability and this pattern was not resulted in the tire-tracks-belief condition. Therefore, the Wells effect was replicated in Korea. In study 2(n=70), we manipulated the participants' perception of risk of wrong verdict. That is, participants who were assigned in the high risk perception of wrong verdict were informed that if the defendant were found guilty, the defendant would get considerable demage both in finance and reputation of the company. Participants in the low risk perception of wrong verdict condition were informed that these demage would not be great. The results revealed that the Wells effect was pronounced in the high risk perception of wrong verdict condition. That is, participants were more reluctant to rule against the defendant when they perceive the significance of the result of wrong verdict as high. Limitations of the study and the directions for future study were discussed.
This study is to examine the factors that influence purchasing behavior and decision-making when consumers buy goods through mobile shopping, define purchasing decision-making with the steps of problem recognition, information search, alternative assessment, and purchasing behavior to understand mobile consumer behavior, and investigate how the factors of each step play roles and influence consumers' purchasing decision-making through positive analysis to figure out consumer purchasing behavior in mobile shopping. The study results, First, the user characteristics of information search influence flow. Second, in the relations between the user characteristics in the step of information search and perceived risk in alternative assessment, if recognition on gains is higher, perceived risk for time loss gets lower, and when the level of skills is higher, perceived risk gets higher, and it has been partly adopted that innovativeness does not influence risk perception. Third, in the relations between flow experience and purchasing intention, it has been found to be partially significant that remote presence and challenge do not influence purchasing intention but do influence excitement, attention concentration, and control and also do influence perceived risk and purchasing intention. Fourth, according to the results of analyzing the difference of consumer purchasing behavior by the types of involvement, practical involvement and sensual involvement, user characteristics and flow, and perceived risk differ by the types of products in terms of the search process, thereby changing purchasing intention. Lastly, the significance and limitations of this study was discussed.
Using the theory of attribution, this study investigates the determinants if controllability and explores underlying dimensions of online information credibility, and then investigates if the credibility of online information influences the users' intention to use the online information for evaluating or judging the involved products. Moreover, as a research attempt to investigate the impacts of online information credibility, this study examines whether the main effect of perceived online information credibility on the intention of using online information to make a decision of purchase is mediated by both perceived risk and perceived usefulness. A total of 287 survey forms were collected from online consumers. We examined reliability by exploring internal consistency of the multiple item scales in the overall sample. Convergent and discriminant validity were also examined for evidence of construct validity. Then, PLS technique was employed to test the research model. As a result of analyzing data from a dataset of 287 responses via PLS technique, it is found that (1) both sources (controllability and stability) of perceived credibility are significantly associated with both perceived risk and perceived usefulness, and (2) perceived risk as well as perceived usefulness partially mediate the link between the two sources of credibility and intention to use. The findings of this study also suggest that the two dimensions of online information credibility influence information recipient's intention to use. Moreover, the online information including descriptions about controllability and stability can trigger potential consumers to perceive risk about consumption of the informed products and services. Therefore, providing online information with highly described controllability and stability can increase not only the credibility of the online information itself, but also the intention to use the online information through perceived risk and usefulness.
The tourism industry is well on its way to returning to pre-pandemic levels all over the world. This article aims to investigate the factors that affect tourists' traveling intentions towards Korea. TAM model is used when doing the data analysis and we added some key external variables: trust, information quality, and personal innovativeness, to better fit the real-life scenarios. By using SPSS and AMOS, we analyze with the structural equation modeling method and find out that perceived risk is not significantly related to intention. We find out that perceived risk is not significantly related to purchasing intention, suggesting that consumers might prioritize convenience over perceived risk. And many other factors become potential mediating factors between these two.
Recently, the emergence of new technologies caused by the Fourth Industrial Revolution caused a great change not only in the overall society but also in the retail industry. In the retail industry, unmanned stores based on new technologies have emerged, changing the consumption behavior of consumers. In particular, the global pandemic caused by COVID-19, which appeared in December 2019, raised social risks, and as a result of this, the beginning of the non-face-to-face era, interest in unmanned stores is increasing. In this study, the effects of benefits factors (perceived usefulness, perceived economics, perceived enjoyment, relative advantages) and sacrifice factors (perceived risk, technicality) perceived by unmanned store users on continuous use intention through perceived value. In addition, it is a study to test through empirical analysis what role the social risk from COVID-19 plays in the process of consumption through unmanned stores. The purpose of this study is to provide strategic implications for the activation of unmanned stores in the non-face-to-face era. In this study, a total of 293 copies of data were collected for users of unmanned stores for hypothesis testing. In addition, the collected data was analyzed using SPSS 21.0 and AMOS 21.0 statistical programs. The results of the study are summarized as follows. First, it was found that the perceived benefits (perceived usefulness, perceived economics, perceived playfulness, and relative advantages) of unmanned stores all had a significant positive effect on perceived value. Second, it was found that all perceived sacrifices (perceived risk, technicality) of unmanned stores had a significant negative effect on perceived value. Third, it was found that the perceived value of unmanned stores had a significant positive effect on the intention to continue use. Finally, the social risk from COVID-19 has been shown to play a moderating role when the perceived sacrifice of unmanned stores affects the perceived value.

This paper concentrate on the passengers' perception of risks by analyzing data gathered through a field survey in the South Korean air market. Twenty two Koreans were killed in the accident of PMT Air in the Kingdom of Cambodia on June 25th 2007 and This has caused customers to be more concerned about the safety of airline. Three hundred forty-two samples were collected from field survey at Kimpo International Airport in Seoul and Jeju International Airport on Jeju island and the findings are based on 316 questionnaires. The multiple regression analysis, Analysis of variance (ANOVA), Correlation analysis, T-test were carried out to examine the effect, relationship and difference of data set. The results show that there are differences between passengers' perceived risks in LCC's and those in FSC's. Passengers of LCC's took serious consideration of the type of fleet and feeling physical risk, whereas those of FSC's only took consideration of financial risk.
