  • In this paper is proposed for the oil return device developed to perform efficient emergency operation in the event the sea oil spill. Oil recovery apparatus for spilled oil on marine aims to quickly purged with high recovery. Oil recovery apparatus can prevent secondary pollution which may occur in the purification method using the adhesion agent and chemicals. Also it has excellent properties oil recovery. Adopted by the vapor explosion-proof mechanism to remove the risks that may occur during oil recovery operations.

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the perception factors of a pedestrian environment that affect pedestrian environment satisfaction(PES) and determine the relationship between PES and the expected effects of health promotion. The targeted areas of study are neighborhood parks in Suseong-gu, Daegu city. First, regarding the results for the evaluation of pedestrian environment perception, 'Gentle slope' was rated the highest, while factors regarding pedestrian safety such as 'Lots of unpleasant elements', 'Risk from biking and motorcycling' and 'Many obstacles on sidewalks' were rated low. A stepwise regression analysis showed that factors such as 'Fresh air', 'Beautiful scenery', 'Continuity of the sidewalks', 'Various attractions', 'The shade of trees' and 'Lots of unpleasant elements' influenced the PES. Therefore, creating fresh air and shade trees by planting trees and removing unpleasant elements from pedestrian areas are important. Also, it is necessary to cultivate beautiful scenery and attractions through street improvement and improve the continuity of the sidewalks. Finally, in terms of path analysis, PES influenced the frequency of park use, the expected effects of physical and mental health promotion both directly and indirectly.

Stability Assessment of Abandoned Gangway for Commercial Utilization of Services (서비스업 활용을 위한 광산 폐갱도의 안정성 평가)

  • The stability assessment of abandoned gangway for the purpose of services was performed. Among the many factors that affect the stability of openings, the span of the opening in a given rock mass condition provides an important element of design. In this paper, the stability of gangway was assessed by the critical span curves proposed by Lang, the modified Mathews'stability graph method and using support measures of the Q system. In the evaluation of stability as a whole the gangway is considered as stable. But the rockfalls of wedge-shaped blocks were expected in the area in which the horizontal joints of low angle appear. The support measures such as local rock bolts are required to use for commercial purposes of the abandoned gangway. And entrance section may require the particular attention as unstable section. Since there are so many spalling due to bad blasting in the roof and sidewall of gangway, the scaling operations should be followed primarily.

  • Safety inspections of outdoor advertisements are conducted to determine the aging status, specifications, and compliance with design documents. Regular inspections are conducted on outdoor advertisements from a safety perspective, as they not only undermine the aesthetic elements of the city but also could cause falls on roads or pedestrian paths. However, the current safety inspection methods are at risk of various accidents during the inspection advertisements on the outer wall of the building. And it is difficult to conduct in-depth inspections on them if they are fixed to the elevation of the building. Furthermore, there also is a risk of safety accidents, such as advertising structures falling onto a pedestrian path. Therefore, this paper aims to enhance the safety inspection system of outdoor advertisements using drones. This paper also intends to propose measures for facility inspection history management such as safety inspection cycle, maintenance, and removal of signboards.

A Case Study on Text Analysis Using Meal Kit Product Review Data (밀키트 제품 리뷰 데이터를 이용한 텍스트 분석 사례 연구)

  • In this study, text analysis was performed on the mealkit product review data to identify factors affecting the evaluation of the mealkit product. The data used for the analysis were collected by scraping 334,498 reviews of mealkit products in Naver shopping site. After preprocessing the text data, wordclouds and sentiment analyses based on word frequency and normalized TF-IDF were performed. Logistic regression model was applied to predict the polarity of reviews on mealkit products. From the logistic regression models derived for each product category, the main factors that caused positive and negative emotions were identified. As a result, it was verified that text analysis can be a useful tool that provides a basis for maximizing positive factors for a specific category, menu, and material and removing negative risk factors when developing a mealkit product.

Finite element analysis of peri-implant bone stresses induced by root contact of orthodontic microimplant (치근접촉이 마이크로 임플란트 인접골 응력에 미치는 영향에 대한 유한요소해석)

  • Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate the biomechanical aspects of peri-implant bone upon root contact of orthodontic microimplant. Methods: Axisymmetric finite element modeling scheme was used to analyze the compressive strength of the orthodontic microimplant (Absoanchor SH1312-7, Dentos Inc., Daegu, Korea) placed into inter-radicular bone covered by 1 mm thick cortical bone, with its apical tip contacting adjacent root surface. A stepwise analysis technique was adopted to simulate the response of peri-implant bone. Areas of the bone that were subject to higher stresses than the maximum compressive strength (in case of cancellous bone) or threshold stress of 54.8MPa, which was assumed to impair the physiological remodeling of cortical bone, were removed from the FE mesh in a stepwise manner. For comparison, a control model was analyzed which simulated normal orthodontic force of 5 N at the head of the microimplant. Results: Stresses in cancellous bone were high enough to cause mechanical failure across its entire thickness. Stresses in cortical bone were more likely to cause resorptive bone remodeling than mechanical failure. The overloaded zone, initially located at the lower part of cortical plate, proliferated upward in a positive feedback mode, unaffected by stress redistribution, until the whole thickness was engaged. Conclusions: Stresses induced around a microimplant by root contact may lead to a irreversible loss of microimplant stability.

  • In platoon driving, several autonomous vehicles communicate to exchange information with each other and drive in a single cluster. The platooning technology has various advantages such as increasing road traffic, reducing energy consumption and pollutant emission by driving in short distance between vehicles. However, the short distance makes it more difficult to cope with an emergency accident, and accordingly, it is difficult to ensure the safety of platoon driving, which must be secured. In particular, the unexpected situation, i.e., variability that may appear during driving can adversely affect the safety of platoon driving. Because such variability is difficult to predict and reproduce, preparing safety guards to prevent risks arising from variability is a challenging work. In this paper, we studied a simulation method to avoid the risk due to the variability that may occur while platoon driving. In order to simulate safe platoon driving, we develop diverse scenarios considering the variability, design and apply safety guards to handle the variability, and extends the detail functions of VENTOS, an open source platooning simulator. Based on the simulation results, we have confirmed that the risks caused form the variability can be removed, and safe platoon driving is possible. We believe that our simulation approach will contribute to research and development to ensure safety in platoon driving.

Finite element analysis of cortical bone strain induced by self-drilling placement of orthodontic microimplant (Self-drilling 방식의 마이크로임플란트 식립에 의해 발생하는 피질골 스트레인의 유한요소해석)

  • Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate the strain induced in the cortical bone surrounding an orthodontic microimplant during insertion in a self-drilling manner. Methods: A 3D finite element method was used to simulate the insertion of a microimplant (AbsoAnchor SH1312-7, Dentos Co., Daegu, Korea) into 1 mm thick cortical bone. The shape and dimension of thread groove in the center of the cortical bone produced by the cutting flute at the apical of the microimplant was obtained from animal test using rabbit tibias. A total of 3,600 analysis steps was used to calculate the 10 turns and 5 mm advancement of the microimplant. A series of remesh in the cortical bone was allowed to accommodate the change in the geometry accompanied by the implant insertion. Results: Bone strains of well higher than 4,000 microstrain, the reported upper limit for normal bone remodeling, were observed in the peri-implant bone along the whole length of the microimplant. Level of strains in the vicinity of either the screw tip or the valley part were similar. Conclusions: Bone strains from a microimplant insertion in a self-drilling manner might have a negative impact on the physiological remodeling of cortical bone.

A Search on the Spatial Orientation in Flight (비행시 공간정위 유지에 대한 고찰)

  • 조종사들은 비행시에 일상 생활 환경에서는 경험하지 못하는 여러가지 적대환경에 폭로된다. 이러한 환경에서는 인체의 평형기관은 실제와 일치하지 않는 정보를 제공해 주는 경우가 허다하다. 예를들면, 내이의 미로 전정기관이나 피하압력기관기 등은 항공기의 기동으로 발생하는 중력과 지구의 중력을 구별 하지 못하는 기능의 한계성때문에 계기비행하에서는 대개의 경우 공간정위상실, 즉 비행착각을 유발한다. 이 착각으로 인한 항공기 사고는 통계상에서 상당 부분이 치명사고로 나타나고 있는데, 이러한 사실은 비행착각현상이 비행안전에 극히 위험한 요소가 되고 있다는 것을 실증한다고 할 수 있다. 그러므로 조종사들은 비행시 공간정위 유지를 위한 철저한 대비가 있어야 한다. 공간정위 상실현상이 잘 발생하는 경우는 야간이나 기타 계기비행 환경에서 주위시각이 제약을 받을 때이다. 즉, 계기비행 환경에서의 편대비행시나 고기동시, 그리고 대조물이 모호한 야간의 활주로에서 이착륙할때 등을 들 수 있다. 비행시 공간정위 상실현상을 예방하기 위해서는 첫째로 이러한 유형의 사고분석자료를 토대로 하여 항공기의 설계단계에서부터 제작에 이르기까지 착각을 유발할 수 있는 구조적 요인을 제거해야 한다. 둘째로는 이러한 착각을 유발하지 않는 운항이나 기동방식을 택하여 비행임무를 수행토록 해야한다. 세째로 조종사들은 이러한 착각을 정상적인 인체의 반응에 의한 것이므로 자신에게도 당연히 일어난다는 사실을 용인해야 한다. 네째로 조종사들은 계기비행에 대한 구체적이고 실제적인 훈련을 통하여 계기비행 경험을 쌓아야 한다. 다음은 조종사들의 실제비행시 공간정위 상실현상에 봉착했을때의 처리요령이다. 첫째로 계기비행상황에서 자신의 감각과 계기가 일치하지 않을 때는 즉시 계기를 Cross Check하여 항공기의 자세나 기동형태를 정확하게 파악해야 한다. 둘째로 계기가 조종사의 의도대로 나타나도록 조작하고 이를 철저하게 의지하고 믿어야 한다. 세째로 자신의 감각과 계기가 일치할때까지 수평비행을 유지해야 한다. 그리고 마지막으로, 고성능 항공기가 계기비행중 저공에서 비행착각에 봉착하게 될때의 행동절차를 철저하게 숙지하고 있어야 한다.

Comparative Study of Foreign Countries on Management Rules on Rail Defects (각국의 레일결함 관리 기준 비교)

  • 선로의 레일은 재료적인 특성과 현장의 많은 주변 요소에 의한 불확실성이 매우 높은 시스템으로 결함의 위험이 상존한다. 결함 발생과 조치에 따라 영업손실로 이어지므로 레일 결함 발생과 동시에 적절한 조치가 요구된다. 따라서 레일결함 발생 시 레일교환시기를 파악하는 것이 선로관리비용을 줄일 수 있으며 레일교환에 대한 신속한 판단을 위함 관리기준을 정립하는 것이 요구된다. 현재 국내에서 고속선의 경우 관리 기준이 있으나, 일반철도는 없는 실정이다. 본 연구는 차후 일반철도 180km/h 속도상승을 계획하고 있는 현 시점에 국외 관리기준을 분석하여 결함관리기준을 정립에 기여하고자 한다. 국내의 경우, 2004. 4. 1 프랑스 기술을 전수받아 개통한 고속선은 프랑스 레일관리기준을 적용한 "레일손상 등급별 관리기준"을 제정하여 레일관리를 시행하고 있다. 국외의 경우, INNOTRACK프로젝트 안에서 관련된 다른 IM(Infrastructure Managers, 사회기반시설 관리자들)에게 최근의 활동과 변화의 이해를 제공하기 위해서, 선택된 결함들의 최소조치들의 조사가 Network Rail, OBB, Prorail, Banverket 그리고 DB에서 수행되고 있으며 UIC 지침에도 포함되고 있다. 모든 최소조치 원칙은 초음파나 육안에 의해 발견된 길이나 초음파 또는 와류탐상기(eddy current system)를 이용한 깊이에 대한 제한(limits)을 준다. 또한 침목과 이음매 또는 용접부에 관한 위치에 관한 결함의 제한이 있다. 명시된 기간은 즉각적일 수도 있으며, 보통 속도 제한이나 비상 죔쇠(Clamps)같은 경감시키는 수단에 적용될 수 있으며, 또는 더 긴 기간이 될 수도 있다. 더 긴 기간들은 수리나 레일 교체를 통하여 선로로부터 결함이 제거되어야 하는 최대의 시간이다. 본 연구에서는 Transverse Breaks, Squats, Head Checks 3가지 결함 유형에 대해 각 국에서 사용하는 최소 조치를 비교하여 분석하였다. 분석결과, 유럽에서는 레일결함에 대하여 깊이 있는 연구를 통하여 관리기준을 정하여 관리하고 있으며 이에 따라 상세하고 구체적인 레일 관리가 가능하므로 효율적이며 안전성이 제고되는 것으로 판단된다. 차후 일반철도의 180km/h 속도상승을 계획하고 있는 현 시점에서 국내철도 일반선 여건에 적합한 레일결함관리기준을 정립하기 위한 추가적인 연구가 필요할 것으로 판단된다.
