Three-dimensional Model Generation for Active Shape Model Algorithm (능동모양모델 알고리듬을 위한 삼차원 모델생성 기법)

  • Statistical models of shape variability based on active shape models (ASMs) have been successfully utilized to perform segmentation and recognition tasks in two-dimensional (2D) images. Three-dimensional (3D) model-based approaches are more promising than 2D approaches since they can bring in more realistic shape constraints for recognizing and delineating the object boundary. For 3D model-based approaches, however, building the 3D shape model from a training set of segmented instances of an object is a major challenge and currently it remains an open problem in building the 3D shape model, one essential step is to generate a point distribution model (PDM). Corresponding landmarks must be selected in all1 training shapes for generating PDM, and manual determination of landmark correspondences is very time-consuming, tedious, and error-prone. In this paper, we propose a novel automatic method for generating 3D statistical shape models. Given a set of training 3D shapes, we generate a 3D model by 1) building the mean shape fro]n the distance transform of the training shapes, 2) utilizing a tetrahedron method for automatically selecting landmarks on the mean shape, and 3) subsequently propagating these landmarks to each training shape via a distance labeling method. In this paper, we investigate the accuracy and compactness of the 3D model for the human liver built from 50 segmented individual CT data sets. The proposed method is very general without such assumptions and can be applied to other data sets.

A Graph Model and Analysis Algorithm for cDNA Microarray Image (cDNA 마이크로어레이 이미지를 위한 그래프 모델과 분석 알고리즘)

  • In this Paper we propose a new Image analysis algorithm for microarray processing and a method to locate the position of the grid cell using the topology of the grid spots. Microarray is a device which enables a parallel experiment of 10 to 100 thousands of test genes in order to measure the gene expression. Because of the huge data obtained by a experiment automated image analysis is needed. The final output of this microarray experiment is a set of 16-bit gray level image files which consist of grid-structured spots. In this paper we propose one algorithm which located the address of spots (spot indices) using graph structure from image data and a method which determines the precise location and shape of each spot by measuring the inclination of grid structure. Several experiments are given from real data sets.

국내 공항 주변환경에서의 전리층 폭풍이 항공용 지역위성항법 보강시스템에 미치는 영향 및 비행 시험을 통한 Code-Carrier Divergence Test 결과 분석

  • 항공용 지역위성항법 보강시스템(Ground Based Augmentation System, GBAS)은 지상에서 위성항법시스템에 대한 위치보정정보와 무결성 정보를 생성 및 제공하여 공항 주변 항공기의 정밀 이착륙을 돕는 지상기반의 시스템이다. 이 시스템은 기본적으로 위성항법신호를 사용하기 때문에 전리층 영향을 받게 되는데 특히 전리층 폭풍(Ionospheric storm)의 경우 공간적으로 급격한 위치오차 차이를 발생시키기 때문에 안정적인 항공기의 정밀이착륙을 위해서는 전리층 폭풍의 영향을 최소화 하는 것이 중요하다. 이를 위하여 현재 항공용 지역위성항법 보강시스템의 지상시스템(Ground Facility)과 항공기 탑재시스템에서의 전리층 폭풍에 대한 정확한 감시와 전리층 폭풍의 지배적 영향을 받는 위상항법신호를 제거하거나 보완하는 방식 등 전리층 폭풍의 영향을 최소화하기 위한 기법들이 계속해서 연구 중이다. 이 논문에서는 2001년과 2003년 미국에서 발생한 전리층 폭풍에 대한 위성항법데이터 분석 결과와 기존의 연구결과를 기반으로 전리층 폭풍에 대한 모델링과 지상시스템과 항공기 간의 공간적 상이현상(Spacial decorrelation)을 고려하여 전리층 폭풍이 항공기 이착륙에 미치는 영향에 대한 분석 결과를 제시한다. 전리층 폭풍에 대한 수학적 모델링을 하기 위해서는 전리층 폭풍의 물리적 특성에 대한 이해와 전리층 폭풍 발생 시 획득한 위성항법 데이터를 이용한 통계학적 분석이 선행되며 이러한 분석결과와 항공기 이착륙에 절차를 반영하여 항공기에 미치는 영향 분석을 위한 수학적 모델을 완성하였다. 완성된 모델을 국내 공항에서 실제 비행시험을 통하여 획득한 위성항법데이터에 적용하여 전리층 폭풍이 국내 공항에서 항공기 이착륙에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지를 분석하였다. 또한, 대표적 전리층 폭풍 감지기법 중 하나인 Code-Carrier Divergence Test 알고리즘을 적용한 결과도 함께 제시하였다. 이 논문의 결과는 항공용 지역위성항법 보강시스템에 대한 전리층 폭풍의 영향을 최소화하기 위한 기법 연구의 기반이 되며 시스템의 성능평가를 위한 다양한 시뮬레이션환경의 하나로서도 활용이 가능할 것이다.

3D building modeling from airborne Lidar data by building model regularization (건물모델 정규화를 적용한 항공라이다의 3차원 건물 모델링)

  • 3D building modeling from airborne Lidar without model regularization may cause positional errors or topological inconsistency in building models. Regularization of 3D building models, on the other hand, restricts the types of models which can be reconstructed. To resolve these issues, this paper modelled 3D buildings from airborne Lidar by building model regularization which considers more various types of buildings. Building points are first segmented into roof planes by clustering in feature space and segmentation in object space. Then, 3D building models are reconstructed by consecutive adjustment of planes, lines, and points to satisfy parallelism, symmetry, and consistency between model components. The experimental results demonstrated that the method could make more various types of 3d building models with regularity. The effects of regularization on the positional accuracies of models were also analyzed quantitatively.

  • Three-dimensional modeling of cities in the real-world is an essential task for city planning and decision-making. And many three-dimensional city models are being developed with the development of wireless Internet and location-based services that identify the location of users and provide the information increases for consumers. Especially, in case of urban areas of Korea, indoor space modeling as well as outdoor is needed due to the high-rise buildings densities. Also location-based services should be provided through spatial analysis such as the shortest path based on a space model. Many studies of three-dimensional city models are feature models. In a feature model, space is represented by combining primitives, and relationships among spaces are represented only if shared primitives are detected. So relationships between complex three-dimensional objects in space is difficult to be defined through the feature models. In this study, Navigable space-relation model(NSRM) is developed, which is topological data model for efficient representation of spatial relationships between objects based on the network structure.

A Linkage between IndoorGML and CityGML using External Reference (외부참조를 통한 IndoorGML과 CityGML의 결합)

  • Recently indoor navigation with indoor map such as Indoor Google Maps is served. For the services, constructing indoor data are required. CityGML and IFC are widely used as standards for representing indoor data. The data models contains spatial information for the indoor visualization and analysis, but indoor navigation requires semantic and topological information like graph as well as geometry. For this reason, IndoorGML, which is a GML3 application schema and data model for representation, storage and exchange of indoor geoinformation, is under standardization of OGC. IndoorGML can directly describe geometric property and refer elements in external documents. Because a lot of data in CityGML or IFC have been constructed, a huge amount of construction time and cost for IndoorGML data will be reduced if CityGML can help generate data in IndoorGML. Thus, this paper suggest practical use of CityGML including deriving from and link to CityGML. We analyze relationships between IndoorGML and CityGML. In this paper, issues and solutions for linkage of IndoorGML and CityGML are addressed.

Precise Orbit Determination of LEO Satellite Using Dual-Frequency GPS Data (이중 주파수 GPS 데이터를 이용한 저궤도 위성의 정밀궤도결정)

  • KOorea Multi-purpose SATellite(KOMPSAT)-5 will be launched at 550km altitude in 2010. Accurate satellite position(20 cm) and velocity(0.03 cm/s) are required to treat highly precise Synthetic Aperture Radar(SAR) image processing. Ionosphere delay was eliminated using dual frequency GPS data and double differenced GPS measurement removed common clock errors of both GPS satellites and receiver. SAC-C carrier phase data with 0.1 Hz sampling rate was used to achieve precise orbit determination(POD) with ETRI GNSS Precise Orbit Determination(EGPOD) software, which was developed by ETRI. Dynamic model approach was used and satellite's position, velocity, and the coefficients of solar radiation pressure and drag were adjusted once per arc using Batch Least Square Estimator(BLSE) filter. Empirical accelerations for sinusoidal radial, along-track, and cross track terms were also estimated once per revolution for unmodeled dynamics. Additionally piece-wise constant acceleration for cross-track direction was estimated once per arc. The performance of POD was validated by comparing with JPL's Precise Orbit Ephemeris(POE).

  • Recently, the study about the technology which effectively manage spatial information is actively conducted. For the effective knowledge inquiry, various extended data mining methods are applied in spatial data mining. However, former spatial association rule system appears the problem that does not reflect various non-spatial property along the inquiries because it searches the rule from the calculation among predicates. To resolve the problem, present study suggests the system that extends the inquiries using in spatial database, searches the association rule among non-spatial object property after setting the data based on space information. Especially, the model which is applicable to geographical information system is embodied. Embodied system with this method enables to search more useful spatial association rule in real life since it shows high migration property with extended spatial database and considers spatial property and various non-spatial property.

  • 일반적으로 자기구성 지도에서는 구조가 초기에 결정되어 학습이 끝날때까지 변하기 않기 때문에 각 문제에 대한 구조를 반복된 실험을 통해서 최적화시켜야 한다. 그러나, 지도의 구조가 학습중에 적절하게 변경된다면, 해당 문제에 가장 알맞은 구조의 지도를 생성할 수 있을 것이다. 이 논문에서는 기존의 적응형 자기 구성 지도의 비교사 학습방법에 LVQ 알고리즘을 이용한 교사 학습방법을 결합한 구조 적응형 자기 구성 지도 모델을 제안한다. 이 방법은 일반적인 자기구성 지도 알고리즘보다 작은 수의 노드를 가지고 높은 성능을 보일 뿐만 아니라, 자기 구성 지도의 특성인 위상 보존도 잘 이루어진다. 오프라인 필기 숫자 데이터로 실험한 결과, 제안한 방법이 유용함을 알 수 있었다.

  • 본 연구는 1kw급 매입형 영구자석 동기전동기(IPMSM)의 회전자의 최적 형상 설계를 위하여 여러 가지 타입의 형상을 실험 및 시뮬레이션을 통해 공극자속밀도, 쇄교자속, 역기전력, 코깅토크, 정격점에서의 최대토크, 최대토크 전류 위상각의 특성을 비교하여 구동성능을 검토하였다. 본 연구를 통하여 비교한 모델은 1kw급 매입형 영구자석 동기전동기의 기초 특성 데이터로 유용하게 이용될 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.
