A Study on the pyrolysis characteristics of sewage sludge by the temperature conditions (온도변화에 따른 하수슬러지의 열분해 특성에 관한 연구)

  • Pyrolysis of maize is experimentally investigated in bench-scale rotary kiln in semi-continuous operation. The operational parameters varied are the temperature($450{\sim}800^{\circ}C$), the solids residence time(7~20 min). Important parameters studied include the running time, water content of sewage sludge, solids amount of sewage sludge(TS%) by the varied temperature. Also, with the increasing of temperature, how the yield of oil and char product change was observed, and the distribution of gas production components was observed. The gas of $C_1{\sim}C_3$ yield increased and oil of $C4{\sim}C6$ yield decreased along with pyrolysis temperature of $670^{\circ}C$ by the run time of 9 min. The results showed the expected strong influence of pyrolysis temperature and a noticeable influence of running time.

A Study on Poisoning of the Reforming Catalysts on the Position of Anode in the Direct Internal Reforming Molten Carbonate Fuel Cell (직접 내부개질형 용융탄산염 연료전지의 음극판 위치에 따른 개질 촉매 피독에 관한 연구)

  • The trend of poisoning of reforming catalyst along with the position of anodic catalyst bed was studied. Keeping the conditions that steam to carbon ratio was 2.5, operating voltage was 0.75 V, current density was $140mA/cm^2$, the unit cell was operated during 24 hrs at a steady state. And then the cell was stopped, the catalysts packed in the position of inlet, middle and outlet were sampled individually and then the amount of carbon, Li and K poisoned were analysed. After 100 hrs operated, the catalysts at the same positions were analysed at the same manner. The result of this experiment was as followings. After 24 hrs operated, the poisoning amounts of Li and K in the catalyst were 0.27 wt% at inlet, 0.23 wt% at middle and the highest value 1.59 wt% at outlet. After 100 hrs, the amount of poisoning is the highest in the catalyst packed at the inlet of unit cell. The performance simulation of unit cell explained these trends of poisoning catalysts. The simulation told that the catalyst in the region of the inlet of unit cell treated the 90% of initial methane flow rate and the highest electrochemical reaction happened in this region. So the catalysts of this region were the most poisoned with carbon, Li and K and also the rate of poisoning is faster than that of the catalyst at other regions. The temperature at the region of outlet of unit cell was $30^{\circ}C$ higher than that of other regions, so more Li, and K vaporized than at other regions and little reforming reaction at this region made the catalysts poisoning rate low.

A Study on the Optimal Location Estimation of Highway Shelter Considering the Driving Duration of Individual Vehicles (개별차량의 운전지속시간을 고려한 고속도로 휴게시설의 적정위치 선정방법 연구)

  • In this study, we calculated the driving duration of individual vehicles according to the availability of rest facility on highway, and suggested indicators indicating the potential risk of accidents caused by long-term driving with weights based on the number of vehicles by driving duration of individual links. Based on this, the methodology for estimating the appropriate location of the highway rest facility considering the driving duration of individual vehicles was presented. Using the DSRC individual vehicle data collected from the highways, the appropriate location of the rest facility was calculated by considering the driving duration by classifying weekdays and weekends for the Gyeongbu Expressway. The results showed that the weekly and weekend high risk indicators were different. In the case of weekdays, the risk indicators of Gimchun JC to Kumho JC for Busan were high, while for weekends, the risk indicators of Ansung JC to Dongtan JC for Seoul and Ansung IC to Bukchunan IC for Busan were high. This study has great significance in that it provides a framework for detailed analysis of link units by using non-aggregated data of individual vehicle units. In addition, it is significant that the reasonable driving duration reflecting the behavior of individual vehicles was calculated by analyzing the use of rest facilities.

A GA-Based Algorithm for Generating a Train Speed Profile Optimizing Energy Efficiency (에너지 최적의 열차 속도 궤적 생성을 위한 GA 기반 알고리즘)

  • This paper proposes an optimal algorithm for generating a train speed profile giving optimal energy efficiency based on GA (Genetic Algorithm) and shows its effectiveness with simulations. After simplifying the train operation mode to a maximum traction, a coasting and a maximum breaking, adjusting the coasting point to minimize the train consuming energy is the basic scheme. Satisfying the two constraints, running distance and running time between two stations, a coasting point is determined by GA with a fitness function consisting of a target running time. Simulation results have shown that multiple coasting points could exist satisfying both of the two constraints. After figuring out consumed energies according to the multiple coasting points, an optimal train speed profile with a coasting point giving the smallest consumed energy has been selected. Simulation blocks for the train performance simulation and GA have been designed with the Simulink.

  • 국내 PWR 원전에서는 계획예방 정지운전 중의 일차측 정지화학 제어에 의해 노심외부의 방사선장을 감소시키므로서 작업종사자의 피폭을 최소화하도록 많은 노력을 경주해 오고 있으며, 보다 나은 정지화학 제어를 위해서는 정지운전 자료에 대한 보다 정밀한 평가와 예측이 요구되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 정지화학을 평가하고 정지후 운전시간에 따른 방사능준위의 변화를 예측하기 위해서 계산프로그램(SCALP)을 개발하여 이를 국내 PWR 원전 A에 적용하고 그 정지운전 특성을 해석하였다.

  • 계통 연계형 인버터는 규정 시간 내에 반드시 단독운전 상황을 검출해야 한다. 계통 사로고 인해 계통전력이 차단되면 인버터가 이 상황을 제대로 감지하지 못 해 계통에 연결된 인버터가 계속 동작을 하게 된다면 위험한 상황을 초래하게 될 수도 있다. 이로 인해 계통연계형 인버터는 규정 시간 내에 계통이 이상을 감지하고 인버터의 동작을 멈추어야 한다. 이런 단독운전 상황을 방지하기 위해 본 논문에서 제시하는 알고리즘은 구현 자체가 간단하지만 기존의 알고리즘으로는 검출할 수 없었던 영역을 검출할 수 있고, 검출 속도 또한 개선을 했다. 실험 결과를 통해 알고리즘의 타당성을 검증하였다.

  • 이 논문은 원자력발전소의 중대사고를 중지 또는 완화시키기 위하여 제시된 사고관리 방안의 실현가능성을 평가하기 위한 새로운 방법론을 소개하고 있다. 이 방법론은 사고관리 방안의 수행실패 요인으로 운전원 진단 및 의사결정 오류, 운전원 수행오류, 관련기기 실패로 인한 오류, 수행지연으로 인한 오류 등으로 나누고, 각각에 대하여 평가 방법을 제시하였다 .운전원 진단 및 의사결정 오류 평가시 고려하여야 할 주요 인자들을 제시하였으며, 수행지연으로 인한 오류 평가시에는 시스템 가용시간과 방안 수행 소요시간을 정의하고 각각에 대한 분포 획득 방법과 이를 이용한 평가 방법을 제시하였다. 제시된 방법론을 영광 3.4호기 공동범람 방안의 평가에 적용하였다.

Effect of Feeding Pattern and Anaerobic Fill Time on the Denitrifcation and Sludge Settling Ability in the SBR Process (SBR 공정에서 유입수 주입방식과 비 포기 유입수 주입시간이 탈질효율과 슬러지 침강성에 미치는 영향)

  • Anaerobic fill time and feeding pattern in SBR operation were investigated to find way of minimizing poor nitrogen removal efficiency in BNR process without external carbon addition. The three types of the modified SBR operations that were CO-SBR, IA-SBR, and SF-SBR were tested by lab-scale and pilot-scale SBR processes($2\;m^3/day$). In addition, practical equation for biological nitrogen removal was suggested and the equation considered the effect of ratio of fill volume over whole SBR volume and the ratio of step-feed in SBR. The denitrification efficiency of the SF-SBR was best among the three SBRs and followed by IA-SBR, and CO-SBR. The efficiency was 95%, 61%, and 19%, respectively. Looking at the change of sludge floc density by the length of anaerobic fill time, the density of sludge floc at 1 hour and 2 hours of anaerobic fill time were greater than 3 hours of one. The floc size distributions were $100{\sim}300\;{\mu}m$ and $200{\sim}400\;{\mu}m$ with respect to anaerobic fill time 2 hours and 3 hours, respectively.

Evaluation of DOM Variations and Reduction Effects in Bioreation Artificial Wetland (생물반응 인공습지 내 DOM 변동 및 저감효과 평가)

  • In this study, the vertical and horizontal flow wetlands were combined in series to create conditions for flow in the exhalation and anaerobic state with the aim of monitoring the variability and reduction of dissolved organic matterin the bio-reactive artificial wetlands, and the performance assessment was conducted as acrylic reaction groups by designing artificial wetlands that filled the functionalresiduals. In case of artificial wetlands in vertical and horizontal planes, the concentration of dissolved oxygen (DO) in the reaction tank was measured as 2.7 mg/L in the vertical flow wetlands under exhalation, and N.D. in the horizontal flow artificial wetlands under anaerobic conditions. The test was carried out by changing the operation time to 140 min, 80 min, and 60 min. The test was conducted with the same natural operation time of 20 min depending on the operation time. All hours of operation were shown to be due to microbial activity. In 3D-EEM, it was found that the longer the driving time was taken, the more reduction the organic compounds in the areas of insoluble human resources, III and V. Further research on the mechanism analysis of future reduction effects is expected to be carried out, but the findings are expected to contribute to the development of technologies for reducing obfuscated substances using artificial wetlands in the future.

A study on the response characteristics of a turbocharged diesel engine under operation conditions of rapid acceleration (터보과급기 부착 디젤기관의 급가속 운전시 응답특성에 관한 연구)

  • 본 연구는 터보 과급기 부착 디젤 기관의 급가속 운전시 기관과 과급기의 과도 응답 성능을 규명하고 이를 개선하기 위한 실험을 수행하였다. 과도 응답 성능 구명은 일정한 회전 속도로 정상 운전중인 기관의 연료 펌프 랙을 10%에서 40%까지 일정 시간동안 급가속하였을 경우에 대하여 수행하였으며, 이때의 과급기 응답 지연 현상을 개선하기 위한 실험은 급가속과 동시에 압축기 출구의 흡기메니폴드 내에 일정한 압력의 공기를 추가 분사하는 방법을 이용하였다. 그리고 공기 분사 압력, 공기분사 기간, 가속률, 가속 시간 등이 압축기 출구의 압력과 온도, 터빈 입구의 압력과 온도, 실린더 압력, 기관과 과급기 회전 속도 등의 응답 성능에 미치는 영향을 가속전 정상 상태의 기관 회전 속도와 적용부하의 변화에 따라 시간의 함수로 나타내었다.
