  • 이 연구(硏究)는 정백과세중(精白過稅中)에 발생(發生)하는 도정산물(搗精産物) 즉, 정백미(精白米), 미당(米糖), 쇠미등(碎米等)의 발생(發生)을 조사(調査)함으로써 현미(玄米)의 정백(精白)이 진행(進行)되는 과정(過程)을 밝히고자 함이다. 본(本) 실험(實驗)에서는 분풍마찰식(噴風摩擦式) 정미기(精米機)를 사용(使用)하였으며, 정미기(精米機)의 롤러 회전속도(回轉速度)를 850rpm으로 고정(固定)하고 출구저항(出口抵抗)은 3가지 수준(水準)으로 변화(變化)시켰다. 한편 이 실험(實驗)에 사용(使用)된 벼는 밀양 23호(號)로써 전형적인 통일계품종(品種)의 일종(一種)이다. 매순환(每循環)마다 생산(生産)되는 정백미(精白米) 및 부산물(副産物)로부터 sample를 채취(採取)하여 미당(米糖), 대소쇄미(大小碎米), 완전미(完全米) 및 도정수율(搗精收率)을 분석(分析)하였다. 실험결과(實驗結果)를 요약(要約)하면 다음과 같다. 1) 전체당층(全體糖層)의 75%가 2번째 순환이내(循環以內)에서 제거(除去)되었다. 당층제거율(糖層除去率)은 출구저항(出口抵抗)에 크게 영향(影響)을 받으며, 높은 출구저항(出口抵抗)에서 높은 당층제거율(糖層除去率)을 보였다. 2) 대쇄미(大碎米)의 발생(發生)은 대부분 정백과정(精白過程) 초기단계(初期段階)에서 이루어 졌으며, 완전미(完全米)로 부터의 새로운 쇄미발생(碎米發生)은 순환(循環)이 반복(反復)됨에 따라서 급격(急激)히 감소(減少)하였다. 출구저항(出口抵抗)과의 관계(關係)는 출구저항(出口抵抗)이 증가(增加)할수록 대쇄미(大碎米)의 발생(發生)도 증가(增加)하였다. 3) 미당집적기(米糖集積器)로부터 채취(採取)한 sample에서 측정(測定)한 소쇄미(小碎米)는 양적(量的)으로 다른 도정산물(搗精産物)에 비(比)해 적은 편이었다. 8%의 미당(米糖)이 제거(除去)된 후(後) 소쇄미(小碎米)는 현미중량(玄米重量)의 0.6% 이하(以下)로 나타났다. 4) 도정수율(搗精收率)과 완전미수율(完全未收率)은 어느 정도 출구저항(出口抵抗)의 영향(影響)을 받는 것으로 나타났다. 출구저항(出口抵抗)이 증가(增加)함에 따라서 특히 완전미수율(完全未收率)은 감소(減少)하는 경향(傾向)을 나타냈기 때문에 백미(白米)의 질적저하(質的低下)를 막기 위해 높은 출구저항(出口抵抗)(본(本) 실험결과(實驗結果)에 의(依)하면 85g/$cm^2$)을 사용(使用)하는 것은 부적당(不適當)한 것으로 사려(思慮)된다. 5) 백도계(百度計)의 측정치(測定値)와 미당제거정도(米糖除去程度)(정백도(精白度)) 사이에는 고도(高度)의 상관관계(相關關係)가 있었다. 그러므로 "KETT"제(製) 백도계(百度計)는 정백미(精白米)의 정백도(精白度)를 판명(判明)하는데 사리(使利)하게 사용(使用)될 수 있다.

Changes in Soil Properties and Rice Production as Influenced by the Consecutive Application of Liquid Swine Manure in Paddy Field (돈분 액비의 연용이 벼의 수량과 토양에 미치는 영향)

  • The application of animal manure on farm fields is one of the most economical ways. However, the continuous application of manure in paddy fields might change soil properties influencing the growth of rice plant. Thus, this study was conducted to investigate the changes in selected chemical and biological properties of soils and rice production as affected by the applications of two different fertilizer sources, which were the consecutive applications of liquid swine manure (LSM) and chemical fertilizer (CF), during the three experimental years, from 2012 to 2014. Application amount of LSM was based on 100% of nitrogen fertilizer recommendation rate for rice cultivation estimated by soil testing. Plant height and tiller number in rice at the first year of liquid swine manure manure plot were lower than those of chemical fertilizer plot. Height and tillers of rice in liquid swine manure plot were higher than those of rice in chemical fertilizer plot after consecutive application for 3 years. Rice yield In the first year of application was decreased by 7% than that of chemical fertilizer, but the yield of rice in the third year of application in LM 100% plot was increased by 8% compared to the chemical fertilizer. Toyo-taste value of milled rice in LM 100% was decreased by increasing of protein contents and decreasing rate of perfect grain. The K and Zn contents in the soil were increased in the plots of consecutive LSM application. The results implied that the liquid manure may neither decrease the yield of rice and nor increase soil properties except K and Zn in the soil, and decrease rice quality.

Effects of Development Time and Severity of Rice Ear Blight on Rice Yield and Quality (벼 이삭마름병 발병시기와 정도가 수량 및 품질에 미치는 영향)

  • Grain discoloration, caused by several microorganisms, is a minor disease, but it is gaining importance in almost all rice growing areas of the world in recent years. Such grains are of low market value and consumption appeal in addition to their abnormal performance as seed of source of nutrient value. When the casual agents were inoculated on rice plant,'Ilmi-byeo'(at right before heading time and on heading time), the incidence of rice ear blight caused by Alternaria alternate and Nigrospora oryzae was higher in a plot inoculated at right before heading time than (in n plot inoculated) on heading time. Meanwhile, the incidence of rice ear blight caused by Bipolaris oryzae and Curvularia lunate was higher in a plot inoculated on heading time than in a plot inoculated at right before heading time. In rice quality, the ratio of imperfect grains was increased at right before heading time or on heading time by Nigrospora oryzae or Alternaria alternata, respectively. As discoloration rate of rice grains increased on 'Ilmi-byeo', the percentage of perfect grains decreased proportionally and the percentage of damaged rice grains increased remarkably.

Changes of Milling Quality of Rice Varieties According to the Transplanting Time and Good Resources with High Milling Quality in Yeongnam Plain Paddy (영남평야지에서 벼 이앙시기에 따른 도정특성 변화와 도정특성 유망 유전자원 탐색)

  • We carried out this study to analyze changes of rice grain milling properties according to the transplanting time and to identify genetic resources suitable for improving milling quality of rice in paddy field of Yeongnam area. We analyzed grain filling and milling quality of 30 rice varieties. In late transplanting (June 20), heading date was delayed for 6 days, compared to normal transplanting(June 5). The grain filling ratio (GFR), perfect kernel ratio of milled rice (PKR), and head rice recovery (HRR) were improved in late transplanting. There was no significant difference in head rice yield of two transplanting time, even though the milled rice yield in late transplanting was significantly smaller than that in normal transplanting because of the reduction of spikelet numbers per panicle. The uniformity of brown rice grain measured by selection sieve norm was improve in late transplanting. There was no significant difference of milling loss ratio between normal and late transplanting but there was a trend for a increase of milling necessary time in late transplanting. Thus, our result suggest that optimum transplanting time is June 10 to 15 to improve grain filling and milling quality and produce high head rice yield in the southern paddy plain of Yeongnam region. We selected promising 9 rice varieties which are Nampyeongbyeo, Ilmibyeo, Chucheongbyeo, Dongjinbyeo, Hopyeongbyeo, Malguemi, Chilbo, Hinohikari, and Cheongmu having high percentage of ripened grain and milling quality as genetic resources to improve milling characteristics of rice varieties. Chucheongbyeo, Dongjinbyeo, and Malguemi showed the highest grain filling ratio and Nampyeongbyeo had the highest perfect kernel ratio. Nampyeongbyeo and Ilmibyeo showed the highest head rice yield with more than 500 kg/10a.

  • 최근 중국 WTO가입과 농산물의 시장의 개방에 따라 국내에서 경쟁력이 높은 고품질의 농산물을 생산하려고 있다. 특히 쌀 시장도 2004년에는 완전 개방되므로 이에 대비해서 쌀의 고품질화 및 특수미 개발로 우리 쌀의 국제적 경쟁력을 높여야 한다. 현재 일본 등의 선진국에서는 영양강화미, 발아현미, 향미, 기능성 쌀 등 다양한 특수 미를 생산하고 있다. 국내에서도 인삼 쌀, 잡곡성형 쌀, 혼합곡, 버섯 쌀, 무세미 등을 비롯한 특수 미를 생산하여 판매하고 있으나, 고가, 낮은 저장성, 떨어지는 밥맛, 인공적인 처리로 인한 거부감 등 때문에 일반인에게 기호도가 매우 낮은 편이다. Optimum Seeding Rate in Different to Soil Salinity for Broadcasting on the Rice Flooded Paddy Surface at South-western Reclaimed Saline Land of Korea (서남부 간척지에서 벼 담수표면산파재배시 토양 염농도별 적정 파종량)

  • This study was conducted to establish the optimum seeding rate in different soil salinity level for yield stability of broadcasting on flooded paddy surface to the reclaimed saline land of south-western part at Gyehwado substation of the Honam Agricultural Research institute in $2003{\sim}2004$. Soeganbyeo was tested in the Munpo series (fine sand loam) the results obtained is as follows: As seeding rate was higher, the number of seeding stand was increased and the number of seeding stands in the low salinity field is sharply increased than those of the medium salinity field. The length of culm in medium salinity field tends to be shorter than that of the low salinity field and as seeding rate was increased, the lodging is severe. The milled rice yield was increased as up to 9 kg/10a in low and medium salinity soil. Complete rice was no significantly increased over 5 kg/10a seeding rate in low salinity field and over 7 kg/10a seeding rate in medium salinity field. Considering the yield of milled and complete rice, seeding stand and lodging, The proper seeding rate is $5{\sim}7kg/10a$ in low salinity and $7{\sim}9kg/10a$ in medium salinity for broadcasting on flooded paddy surface at the reclaimed saline land of southwestern part.

Characterization of Grain Quality under Lodging Time and Grade at Ripening (등숙기 도복 시기 및 정도에 따른 쌀 품질 특성)

  • This study was carried out to compare the grain quality under lodging time and grade at ripening. Ripened grain ratio and 1000-grain weight were higher with lodging of plants at $45^{\circ}$ angle from the ground and increased with crop development. The number of spikelets, as well as the protein and amylose content of the grains, were higher in plants under severe or complete lodging than those under lodging at $45^{\circ}$ angle from the ground. Palatability and sensory evaluation values were higher in plants under lodging at $45^{\circ}C$ angle from the ground than those under complete lodging. Brown rice: rough rice ratio was higher with lodging of plants at $45^{\circ}C$ angle from the ground and increased with crop growth. Milling recovery and milled rice recovery were higher with lodging of plants at $45^{\circ}C$ angle from the ground, whereas chalky grain, cracked grain and damage grains were higher at complete lodging.

Proper Nitrogen Fertilizer Level for Improving the Rice Quality at Reclaimed Saline Land in the Southwestern Area (서남부 간척지에서의 고품질 쌀 생산을 위한 적정 질소시비량)

  • This study was carried out to investigate the proper nitrogen fertilizer level at reclaimed saline land in the southwestern area of Korea from 2002 to 2004. The rice cultivars tested were Samcheonbyeo(Early maturing one), Nampyeongbyeo (Medium maturing one) and Hwaseongbyeo(Mid-late maturing one). The results aye summarized as follows: The more the nitrogen level, the more number of panicle and spikelet per unit area was. But, ripened grain rate and 1000-grain weight were decreased at higher nitrogen level. As higher nitrogen level, head rice rate was decreased and protein content was increased. But, amylose content wasn't differ among the nitrogen fertilizer application levels. As increase nitrogen level in head rice yield increased up to 12 kg/10a, 11 kg/10a, in Samcheonbyeo, Hwaseongbyeo and Nampyeongbyeo, respectively. But there wasn't different more than it. Consequently, considering the yield of head rice, ripened grain rate and rice quality. The proper nitrogen fertilizer application level was 11-12 kg/10a at reclaimed saline land in the southwestern area of Korea.

Proper Nitrogen Application Level for Improving the Rice Quality in Honam Plain Area (호남평야지에서 쌀 품질 향상을 위한 적정 질소시비량)

  • This study was carried out to elucidate the proper nitrogen application level considering rice quality in Honam plain area from 2002 to 2004 at the paddy field of Honam Agricultural Research Institute. The rice cultivars tested were Samcheonbyeo (Early maturing one), Hwaseongbyeo (Medium maturing one) and Nampyeongbyeo (Mid-late maturing one). The results are summarized as follows: The higher amount of nitrogen application resulted in greater number of panicle and grain in per unit area, but the rate of ripening and the 1,000-grain weight of brown rice decreased. The protein contents showed a tendency of increase with higher nitrogen level. The head rice yield increased by the higher nitrogen application up to 7 kg/10a for Samcheonbyeo and Hwaseongbyeo, and 9 kg/10a for Nampyeongbyeo respectively. The appropriate nitrogen application amounts, with respect to the yield of head rice, the rate of ripening and the quality of rice were found to be in range of 7 to 9 kg/10a.

Effects of 23-years Successive Application of N, P, K and Organic Matter on Rice Yield and Quality (N, P, K 및 유기물의 23년간 연용이 수도의 수량생산성과 미질에 미치는 영향)

  • 본 시험은 1968-1990년까지 23년간을 동일시험구에서 무비구를 비롯하여 무질소구, 무인산구, 무가리구, 3요소구, 3요소+유기물구(퇴비 또는 생고), 3요소十석회구를 설치하고, 1990년수도품종 ‘진흥’을 공시하여 그 수량생산성과 미질의 외관 및 이화학적특성을 조사하므로써 장기간에 걸친 시비법이 수량과 양질미생산에 미치는 영향을 검토한 바 그 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다 1 수량생산성은 3요소구에 비해 3요소+유기물구에서 3-7%의 증수효과가 있었으며, 1 증수요인은 수수와 1수당입수의 증가였다. 2. 무가리구의 수량은 85%로 등숙률의 저하가 감수요인이며, 무인산구는 74%로 수수의 감소가 감수요인이며, 무질소구와 무비구는 59-33%로 수수와 1수립수의 현저한 감소가 감소요인이었다. 3. 미질의 외관적 특성은 무비, 무질소, 무인산구에서 수량은 크게 낮은 반면에 완전미율이 높고 동할미, 심복백미율이 현저히 적으며 3미립의 투명도도 높아 양질의 외관을 보였다. 이에 대해 고수량을 보인 3요소+유기물구(퇴비, 생고)에서 완전미율이 낮고 동할미, 심복백미율이 높고 투명도가 낮아 외관적 미질이 저하하는 경향이었다. 4 미질검정으로 이용되고 있는 물리적 특성인 알칼리붕괴성과 gel consistency는 처리간 차이를 인정할 수 없었다. 5. 식미의 량부로 평가하고 있는 미립의 화학적 특성은 처리간 차이를 인정할 수 있었다. 즉 단백질함량은 3요소+유기물구에서 높고 무비구에서 낮았으며 Mg, Mg/K, Mg/KㆍN, Mg/KㆍN\ulcornerAmylose는 무비, 무질소, 무가리구에서 높고, 3요소+유기물. 3요소+석회구에서 낮았다 6. 이상과 같은 결과로 미루어 본 실험에 시용된 절대질소량은 많지 않음에도 불구하고 3요소+유기물구는 유기물 분해에 따른 질소의 추비적 효과가 나타나서 무비, 무질소구에 비해 동할미, 심복백미 등 미립의 외관적 특성을 저하시키고, 단백질함량은 높이고 Mg/K\ulcornerNㆍAmylose를 낮추어 식미를 저하시키는 것으로 해석된다 7. 취급특성으로서의 흡수율, 취급액요드정색도, 취급용액출고형물은 처리간 명백한 경향을 발견할 수 없었다.
