Performance Improvement of an Air Source Heat Pump by Storage of Surplus Solar Energy in Greenhouse (온실 내 잉여 태양열을 이용한 공기열원 히트펌프 성능향상)

  • A greenhouse heating system to improve heat pump performance using inside and outside air of greenhouse as a heat source selectively and cut $CO_2$ enrichment costs by delay of greenhouse ventilation was developed. In this system, thermal storage modes divided into inside circulation mode using surplus solar energy and outside circulation mode using outside air heat. The thermal storage modes were designed to be switched mutually according to inside greenhouse temperature and six temperature values were input to control the heat pump operating, thermal storage mode switching and greenhouse heating automatically. Operating characteristics of this system were tested in a plastic greenhouse of non-ventilation condition. The results of test showed that the inside circulation mode began at about 11:00 and lasted for about 210 minutes and inside greenhouse temperature was maintained between $20{\sim}28^{\circ}C$ in spite of non-ventilation. System heating COP of the inside circulation mode in the daytime was 3.35, which was 36% and 25% higher than that of the outside circulation modes in the nighttime and daytime respectively.

Development and Validation of Inner Environment Prediction Model for Glass Greenhouse using CFD (CFD를 이용한 유리온실 내부 환경 예측 모델 개발 및 검증)

  • Because the inner environment of greenhouse has a direct impact on crop production, many studies have been performed to develop technologies for controlling the environment in the greenhouse. However, it is difficult to apply the technology developed to all greenhouses because those studies were conducted through empirical experiments in specific greenhouses. It takes a lot of time and cost to develop the models that can be applicable to all greenhouse in real situation. Therefore studies are underway to solve this problem using computer-based simulation techniques. In this study, a model was developed to predict the inner environment of glass greenhouse using CFD simulation method. The developed model was validated using primary and secondary heating experiment and daytime greenhouse inner temperature data. As a result of comparing the measured and predicted value, the mean temperature and uniformity were 2.62℃ and 2.92%p higher in the predicted value, respectively. R2 was 0.9628, confirming that the measured and the predicted values showed similar tendency. In the future, the model needs to improve by applying the shape of the greenhouse and the position of the inner heat exchanger for efficient thermal energy management of the greenhouse.

Low-Carbon Information Management of Street Lamps and Street Trees Using GIS (GIS를 이용한 가로등 및 가로수의 저탄소 정보 관리)

  • Diverse improvement projects such as replacing street lamps with LED, street trees, etc are currently in progress in Korea to reduce greenhouse gas so as to cope with change in climate. However, the effect of climate change policy is not exactly analyzed, because exhaust quantity and absorption quantity of greenhouse gas of the target street lamp and street trees are not arranged as information. Thus, this study studied the method to systematically manage low carbon related information of urban facilities by using GIS. It was found that low carbon information of the urban facilities is necessary to exactly analyze effect of climate change policy and the method to calculate carbon exhaust quantity and absorption quantity of each facilities should be established to build exact low carbon information of urban facilities. Further, it was found that the visualization of information related to low carbon of street lamp and street trees by using GIS easily and visually grasps and systematically controls the effect of policy coping with change in climate than the existing numeral data of exhaust quantity and absorption quantity of greenhouse gas.

  • Energy consumption of building is given a sizable portion in total national energy conservation. From this reason, the integrated management system of national building energy was proposed to manage energy usage and of which feasibility study was demonstrated in Seoul at 2010. Expansion of the application availability for the aforementioned system, energy policies etc. have focused on the building sectors and future uses and developments are investigated. Specially, energy consumption and building documentary DB are useful to validate energy usage for each building and define to remodelling effect before and after. Furthermore, in this study, a number of developments and applications of the system and future uses of energy usage data can be identified.

  • Energy consumption of building is given a sizable portion in total national energy conservation and if current trends continues, energy conservation level will rise as level of developed country. For this reason, a basic plan is proposed for integrated management system to manage energy conservation of buildings using a link with energy information and building information. Specifically, the questionnaire investigation conducted by building energy expert is performed to determine the projects along with time schedule and demands level of management system. In addition, to investigate study on energy usage information and management situation the management architecture of energy supplier is also studied.

Application Effect of Heating Energy Saving Package on Venlo Type Glasshouse of Paprika Cultivation (파프리카 재배 벤로형 유리온실에서 난방에너지 절감 패키지 기술 적용효과)

  • Glasshouse heating package technologies to improve energy usage efficiency in winter were developed. Heating package was composed of the ground water source heat pump with heating capacity of 105kW, the aluminum multi-layer thermal curtain with six layers of different materials and the root zone local heater with XL pipes of ${\phi}20mm$. Venlo type glasshouse($461m^2$) with the heating package was compared with the same type and area control glasshouse with the light oil boiler, the usual non-woven fabric thermal curtain with respect to the glasshouse inside temperature, relative humidity, crop growth, and heating energy consumption. The results of test in paprika cultivation glasshouses showed that the air temperature inside glasshouse with aluminum multi-layer thermal curtain was maintained $2.2^{\circ}C$ higher than that of control glasshouse in un-heating night time and the temperature in bed with root zone local heating was $4.7^{\circ}C$ higher than that in bed without local heating. Average heating coefficient of performance(COP) of the ground water source heat pump used in paprika cultivation was 3.7 and the glasshouse inside temperature was maintained at $21^{\circ}C$ of heating set up temperature. The heating energy consumptions per 10a were measured at 14,071L of light oil and 364kWh of electric power for the control glasshouse and 35,082kWh for the glasshouse applied heating package. As results, the heating cost of the glasshouse applied heating package was 87 percent lower than that of control glasshouse. The growths of paprika in glasshouses of control and applied heating package did not show any significant difference.

  • 화력발전소, 석유화학공단 등 대규모 배출원에서 발생되는 이산화탄소를 활용하여 온실가스의 배출을 줄이고, 경제적 가치를 창출할 수 있는 탄소자원화는 기후변화 대응을 위한 국가전략프로젝트 중 하나이다. 전 세계적으로 탄소자원화 기술은 아직 상용화 단계이지만 최근 강화된 온실가스 감축 의무로 인하여 탄소자원화 시장은 더욱 확대될 전망이다. 화력발전소의 이산화탄소 발생 과정에서 배출되는 수증기는 응축기술을 통하여 새로운 수원으로 활용이 가능하다. 응축된 물의 최적 활용과 사용처 지향적 효율적 물순환을 위한 시설 내 스마트 워터 그리드(SWG) 개념의 물분배 시스템은 발전 산업 내에 탄소자원화의 핵심기술로 사용될 수 있다. SWG는 시설 내 용수공급 관리에서의 관망 운영, 물 수요 관리 등 ICT를 활용한 종합적인 물 분배 시스템으로, 본 연구에서는 SWG 물순환 시스템의 국내외 기술조사를 통해 발전 산업 시설 내에 적용성을 검토하였다. 물의 재이용 시스템을 포함한 SWG 기술, 지능형 관망 운영 기법 기술, 실시간 수질 감시 체계 기술 연구를 기반으로, ICT 기반 용수공급 정보 관리 기술과 수운영 모니터링 기술을 통하여 SWG가 발전 산업 연계 기술로써 적용될 수 있도록 하였다. 본 연구에서 제시된 SWG 시스템을 적용한 산업 인프라를 통하여 산업적 파급 효과를 높이고, 이를 활용한 인력과 비용 절감이 기대되며, 저에너지, 고효율화를 위한 기술력과 글로벌 물 시장진출 경쟁력을 향상시키기 위한 기초연구자료로써 활용이 가능할 것으로 기대된다.

  • 활동기준원가의 개념을 적용하여 Co2 절감대책을 수립한다. 물질흐름원가계산(MFCA; Material Flow Costing Accounting)을 통해 물질의 흐름을 파악하고 Co2 등의 절감을 원가로 측정하고 관리하고자 한다. MFCA(물질흐름원가계산)를 이용하여 에너지 사용량에 대한 단위시간당 가공비 계산하면 원가관리를 정확하게 할 수 있다. 그리고 구체적인 공급체인별 에너지 사용량 및 온실가스 배출량에 대한 개선 목표를 설정할 수 있다. 시뮬레이션 기법을 이용하면 프로세스별 원가계산이 가능하고, 다양한 시나리오를 편리하고 신속하게 분석할 수 있다.

  • 기본이 바로 서면 그 기업과 나라는 성장하기 마련이다. 에너지에 대한 다양한 경험과 지식으로 에너지관리공단 에너지효율자금지원실의 수장을 맡은 이재훈 실장이 가장 강조하는 것도 바로 공정한 ESCO자금운영에 대한 소신이었다. 이전 온실가스검증원장, 해외사업실장으로 일해 온 이재훈 실장은 산업수요관리 업무, 신재생에너지 보급 업무, 저탄소기후변화 업무를 두루 경험하여 내공을 쌓아 왔다. 2012년 ESCO자금지원에는 어떠한 변화가 생길 예정인지 에너지관리공단의 이재훈 실장을 만나 심도 있는 얘기를 들어보았다.

  • Recently, the global warming phenomenon has been taken notice of. The global warming phenomenon has given enormous bad impact to social economic fields as well as ecological areas by rising sea levels and weather calamities. To cope with the phenomenon most developed countries adopted the Kyoto Protocol to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. To achieve the target of the Kyoto Protocol, the developed countries are operating organization-run green quality assurance and labelling systems with their standardized methods to evaluate the environmental and greenhouse gas impact for ICT products and services. This paper introduces several countries standards which can be applied to evaluate the reduction effect of greenhouse gas emission and green ICT quality assurance which also can be applicable for recycling and managing of ICT products. This paper is expected to be used as a policy data for ICT related government bodies and industry areas.
