An Ecosystem Model and Content Research of the Satellite Information Utilization Business (위성정보 활용 사업의 생태계 모델과 콘텐츠 연구)

  • Satellite-derived data is collected by observing the Earth and is used in various fields such as national defense, natural disasters, location-based services, infrastructure, environment, energy, marine, and insurance. This study aims to present the virtuous cycle structure of the satellite information data industry and the business ecosystem model of the industry. As a research method, cases were collected and categorized from the following areas: literature, online, application, and content. The results show that the ecosystem model of the satellite information data industry provides an approach to content services in public and commercial areas, and develops various algorithmic technologies to facilitate content production and services at the level of complex general-purpose technologies. Second, in terms of content typology, satellite information data can be subdivided into monitoring content, urban space monitoring content, and satellite information content. Third, the consumption value of satellite content could be subdivided into informational value, environmental, social and governance (ESG) value, educational value, and content value. In order to expand the global content market, Korea will need to focus on creating an ecosystem for the satellite information industry and discovering differentiated content. It will also need to increase the popularization and accessibility of data to the general public and promote the Korean K-Satellite Information Data Industry ecosystem through government support, policy efforts, and policies such as establishing legal systems, increasing investment, and training human resources.

An Analysis the Relationship between User characteristics by Forest Welfare Facilities: Focusing on Correspondence Analysis (산림복지시설별 이용객 특성과의 관계 분석: 대응분석을 중심으로)

  • This study used the results of the 2022 national survey of forest welfare facilities and space users conducted in the Republic of Korea to identify the associations and combination patterns among use of forest welfare facilities and various user characteristics. In addition, a correspondence analysis-namely, a categorical data analysis-was performed regarding four facilities: National Natural Recreation Forest, National Soopchewon, National Forest Trail, and National Healing Forest. The cross-analysis revealed highly significant differences (p < .001) in the age, household income per month, means of transportation, companion type, path to information acquisition, and purpose of visit among the users of forest welfare facilities. Moreover, the results of the correspondence analysis demonstrated that users of National Soopchewon and National Healing Forest were distinguished from users of the other forest welfare facilities based on demographic characteristics such as age and household income per month. In addition, the means of transportation of National Forest Trail users differed from that of users of the other forest welfare facilities. Moreover, users of National Soopchewon were associated with the type of public group visit, acquisition of information from the websites of related institutions and facilities and via online portals, and the purpose of participating in education and experiencing education programs. Therefore, the companion type, path to information acquisition, and purpose of visit on the part of users of National Soopchewon could be differentiated from those of users of other forest welfare facilities. The findings of this study revealed the associations and combinations among forest welfare facilities and the characteristics of users of such facilities, with the scope of utilization of the forest welfare facility user data being expanded via correspondence analysis.

Compliance to Feedback on Uncivil Comments in a Virtual Online News Portal: The Role of Avatar Presence (가상 온라인 기사 포털에서 아바타의 존재와 반시민적 댓글 피드백에 대한 행동 순응)

  • As digital communication gains prominence, there is an increasing trend in uncivil behaviors like rude or hateful comments and the empathetic actions towards them, highlighting the need for social efforts to address these issues. As part of these endeavors, we investigated how avatar feedback in a virtual news portal affects users' empathy towards uncivil comments. We defined both posting and empathizing with uncivil comments as antisocial actions. To this end, we posted socially controversial news in a virtual space and provided feedback in two forms when participants selected uncivil comments: text-only feedback and feedback accompanied by an avatar. We then assessed the impact of this feedback on behavioral conformity, guilt, and self-image concern through surveys. Our results showed that avatar-provided feedback significantly influenced participants' social responses more than text-based feedback. Interaction with avatars notably increased participants' behavioral conformity, guilt, and self-image concern. We concluded that avatar-based interactions can positively influence users' social behaviors and attitudes, suggesting their potential in fostering a more civil and responsible digital communication culture.

A Time Series Analysis of Urban Park Behavior Using Big Data (빅데이터를 활용한 도시공원 이용행태 특성의 시계열 분석)

  • This study focused on the park as a space to support the behavior of urban citizens in modern society. Modern city parks are not spaces that play a specific role but are used by many people, so their function and meaning may change depending on the user's behavior. In addition, current online data may determine the selection of parks to visit or the usage of parks. Therefore, this study analyzed the change of behavior in Yeouido Park, Yeouido Hangang Park, and Yangjae Citizen's Forest from 2000 to 2018 by utilizing a time series analysis. The analysis method used Big Data techniques such as text mining and social network analysis. The summary of the study is as follows. The usage behavior of Yeouido Park has changed over time to "Ride" (Dynamic Behavior) for the first period (I), "Take" (Information Communication Service Behavior) for the second period (II), "See" (Communicative Behavior) for the third period (III), and "Eat" (Energy Source Behavior) for the fourth period (IV). In the case of Yangjae Citizens' Forest, the usage behavior has changed over time to "Walk" (Dynamic Behavior) for the first, second, and third periods (I), (II), (III) and "Play" (Dynamic Behavior) for the fourth period (IV). Looking at the factors affecting behavior, Yeouido Park was had various factors related to sports, leisure, culture, art, and spare time compared to Yangjae Citizens' Forest. The differences in Yangjae Citizens' Forest that affected its main usage behavior were various elements of natural resources. Second, the behavior of the target areas was found to be focused on certain main behaviors over time and played a role in selecting or limiting future behaviors. These results indicate that the space and facilities of the target areas had not been utilized evenly, as various behaviors have not occurred, however, a certain main behavior has appeared in the target areas. This study has great significance in that it analyzes the usage of urban parks using Big Data techniques, and determined that urban parks are transformed into play spaces where consumption progressed beyond the role of rest and walking. The behavior occurring in modern urban parks is changing in quantity and content. Therefore, through various types of discussions based on the results of the behavior collected through Big Data, we can better understand how citizens are using city parks. This study found that the behavior associated with static behavior in both parks had a great impact on other behaviors.

  • The fashion in the virtual world is emerging as a new genre. Gammer in virtual community shares the avatars and space for their activities and for flourishing their virtual lives, they start to demand indispensable daily items. The gammer's demands lead to the concept of second life in the virtual world which was introduced in 2003. The trading business system is realized at the virtual world with various daily items, developed by individual programmers, through the virtual money, which may converted into real money. Particularly, fashion industry's inherent nature of snagging on-line trading is no more, now, set to ready in the virtual world let alone various daily virtual items developed by individual programmers. The purpose of this study is, focused on the virtual second life, to introduce the model of fashion business in virtual world and overall informations regarding second life business systems so as to provide the fundamental data for opening the web.3.0 era. Further various fashion items in the virtual world, developed by individual programers, will be another boost for shaping another virtual fashion business genre.

A Study on Remote Cultivation Consignment System for Hobby using LED Plant Factory (LED 식물공장을 이용한 취미용 원격 식물재배 위탁 시스템에 대한 연구)

  • In this paper, we propose a system that can provide a environment for plant cultivation in connection with LED plant factories and enable users to participate in plant cultivation remotely to engage in personal hobbies. The proposed system can monitor the growth conditions of plants through various sensors and remotely adjust the cultivation environment required for plant growth through the Arduino system, so that users can feel the satisfaction of plant cultivation and harvesting as a hobby. On the other hand, we suggest a mutual benefit structure for plant factory and users by securing a certain amount of income source to factory, by paying the idle space to the individual online. This paper demonstrates the feasibility of the proposed system by making the prototype of the remote plant cultivation consignment system using the Arduino and Android application(App.), and contributes to popularize the LED plant factories and expand the business area in future.

  • Nowadays economic and commercial businesses have been increased because of the Internet. As a result of this, electronic commerce is becoming one of the most Interesting topic of discussion. Electronic commerce is equal to a real market, only the place of business is the imaginary space supported by the Internet. There are a few conditions to consider, making electronic commerce work safely. The electronic commerce should be connected by a substantial system and an on-line Protocol. There are some conditions needed for information security, authentication, and payment by electronic currency etc. Although there are many kinds of existing systems, which create services successfully, further research for security is required. Therefore, this paper suggests an authenticated Agent management, which offers more convenience and security than before. Also, this paper shows many authenticated methods for a management system. An Agent that is one of interesting things to study can handle information problems and works related to electronic commerce.

  • In this paper, the advancement in IT technology is not only inducing the multi-functionality of simple products but also changing even the lifestyle, that is, the pattern of consumers' daily life. The actual paradigm for the conversion from off-line to on-line is at the level of threatening the ecology of off-line. In this study, the diversified advancement method of off-line is in functional relationship with the increase in sales revenue and profits not only through the visit of consumers to the sales outlets for the simple purpose of making purchase but also through the application of augmented realities such as 3-dimensional sense in space and sense in reality, which are entertainment experience factors. Therefore, the improvement in the enhancement of sales revenues by applying augmented reality to off-line department store was researched in this study.

A Study on the Research Support Service of College Libraries (대학도서관의 연구지원서비스에 관한 연구)

  • This research defines research support service, and compares the support service provided by college libraries in Korea and overseas. The findings showed that the frequency of college library service in Korean schools were low. Korean college libraries' services were mostly limited to the services of a normal library such as bibliographic education, full text service, and interlibrary loan service. To put it differently, Korean college libraries lacked information services on research ethics. Research spot services per research stage were mostly restricted to the data collection stage, and deficient elsewhere. On the other hand, college libraries in the U.S. were providing a platform for scholarly communication between researcher and scholars via websites.

An analysis of consumption behavior and consumption problem according to the digital convergence (디지털 융복합에 따른 소비행동과 소비문제)

  • The purpose of this study is to estimate convergence level of digital device and service and analyze group difference of consumption behavior and problem according to digital convergence level. The research method was survey with digital business expert and 343 samples. ANOVA research method was applied. The results of research are as follows. First, the study suggests that with a self-directed consuming attitude associated with both online and offline, there are the possibility to spread social problem which has unclear boundary, the possibility of intrusion into privacy through the network flow, and the matter of the credibility of information in convergence media. Second, since digital devices are important to connect consumers to the network, consumers have anxious dependence on the devices, which causes the fatigue of information to increase rapidly.
