Confidence Indicators and Evaluation Factors of Credibility According to the Types of Online Information (온라인 정보원의 유형별 신뢰지수 및 신뢰성 평가요인)

  • This study tried to develop the confidence indicators and evaluation factors of credibility according to the types of online information by nationwide large scale online survey. The main results are summarized as follows: i) confidence indicators by types of online information: information on news sites(72.553), financial companies(68.894), government sites(67.938), cafe(66.464), portal sites(65.001), collective intelligence sites(63.489), nonprofit organization (63.392), company/corporation sites(59.789), blog(59.066), online community sites(55.609), e-commerce sites(55.118), mini-homepage(50.695). ii) 'Widely known site' or 'famous site' is the most important factor for all types of online information. User opinions like as posting or comment are major factors for sites of cafe, blog, mini-homepage, online community, collective intelligence etc. and 'name recognition' and 'reputation' are main factors for site of financial company, corporation, government, nonprofit organization.

  • 인터넷관련 혁신의 수용을 설명하려는 많은 연구들에서 정보기술수용모델(TAM)이 적용되었지만, 온라인 상거래의 수용을 정확히 설명하기 위해서는 인터넷을 통해 상거래를 할 때 발생하는 특성을 반영해야 한다. 본 연구에서는 온라인 상거래관련 기존 연구들을 바탕으로 TAM을 확장하는 변수로 신뢰와 감정을 추가하고 변수들의 영향 관계를 통합적으로 구조화하였다. 이러한 확장 구조를 통해, 온라인 상거래 수용을 설명하는데 TAM의 원형을 그대로 적용하거나 신뢰 혹은 감정만을 고려한 기존 연구들이 갖는 설명의 제한점을 극복하고자 하였다. 그리고 온라인 상거래의 수용에 대한 전체적인 틀을 파악하고, 소비자가 온라인 상거래를 수용하는 측면에서 온라인 상거래의 성공을 결정짓는 주요한 변수들의 관계를 명확히 하였다. 신뢰, 감정, 사용의 용이함이 유용성을 지각하고 사이트 사용의도를 갖고 상거래 행동을 하는데 영향을 주며 이들 변수들간에도 영향관계가 있다는 모델을 제안하였고, 대안적으로 감정을 태도의 요소로 보는 모델과 신뢰가 감정이 전혀 관계가 없다는 모델을 제시하였다. 모델들을 비교한 결과 제안모델이 가장 우수하다고 판단할 수 있었다. 각 변수들의 경로계수에 의해 가설을 검증한 결과, 감정과 사용의 용이함은 유용성에 정적으로 유의하게 영향을 주었고 신뢰는 어느 정도 영향을 주었다. 그리고 신뢰와 사용의 용이함은 감정에도 유의하게 영향을 주었다. 그렇지만 사이트 사용의도에 유의하게 영향을 미치는 변수는 사용의 용이함 뿐이었다. 실증연구를 바탕으로, 온라인 상거래가 사용자 수용 측면에서 성공을 할 수 있기 위해서는 사용의 용이함과 함께 신뢰와 감정이 중요하게 고려되어야 함을 알 수 있다.

  • Every online shopping mall is concerned about service quality and trust issues. We analyze and compare the impacts of service quality and trust on customer satisfaction and loyalty. In addition, we investigate service quality and trust attributes and their effects on overall service quality and trust. The results unveil that, in our e-business setting, overall trust has more powerful leverage than overall service quality.

  • This study considered eWOM communication not as persuasion process but as diffusion process and identified factors affecting eWOM spread. eWOM diffusion process can be divided into initial transmitting process and retransmission process. The current study analyzed the effects of informational traits(level of agreement, vividness, neutrality) of eWOM on the intention to retranmit eWOM and moderating effect of eWOM involvement. Research sample was gathered from young people because they are familiar with online communication process. Statistical analysis showed informational traits of eWOM all had a significant effects on the credibility of eWOM, credibility of eWOM influenced on the intention to retransmit eWOM significantly, and eWOM involvement moderated the relation between information traits of eWOM and the intention to retransmit eWOM. And then academic and managerial implication was discussed based on these findings.

  • 중국은 세계 무역기구에 가입하면서 세계경제에서 차지하는 위치가 강화되고 디지털 경제체제에 편입되면서 산업구조를 고부가가치 산업으로 개편하고 있다. 동안 상대적으로 외국기업에 대해 폐쇄적이었던 중국의 유통시장은 2006년부터 전면개방이 시작될 것으로 전망되고 있다. 그러나 중국전자상거래 시장에서 정보 기초화와 물류배송 금융체계의 문제는 나날이 안정화되어 온라인 구매환경은 나아지고 있으나, 오히려 해마다 인터넷쇼핑물 구매율의 하락은 온라인 쇼핑몰 상거래에 대한 불신 문제가 그대로 남아있음을 알 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 중국의 소비자수준에서의 온라인 구매가 활성화되지 못하는 주요 장애요인으로써 불신(distrust)을 제기하고자 하며 신뢰를 신뢰와 불신의 2차원으로 파악하여 각각의 차원(신뢰와 불신)이 마케팅 성과에 차별적으로 공헌하고 있음을 밝히고자 한다. 본 연구에서 선행변수로 상호작용, 지각된 평판, 정보유용성, 지각된 보안위험, 지각된 거래위험을 설정했으며 매개변수로는 신뢰와 불신을, 결과 변수로는 관계몰입과 구매의도로 구성하였다. 결과에서는 온라인 맥락에서는 신뢰와 불신의 선행요인이 온라인 쇼핑몰에 대한 관계몰입과 구매의도에 서로 차별적으로 공헌한다는 것을 밝혔다. 이는 기존의 신뢰를 2차원으로 구분하여 신뢰와 불신으로 분리하여 관리하는 것이 필요하다는 것을 시사한다고 할 수 있다.

Key Determinants of Online Wine Purchasing Intention (와인의 온라인 구매의 주요 결정요인에 관한 연구)

  • This paper was to figure out why online wine purchasing is not activated despite of the many advantages of having online transactions and to fine key determinants of online wine purchasing intention. Thus, the purpose of this study was to identify the determinants of online wine purchase intention, and examines the relationships between the determinants and online wine purchase intention. Data was collected from those who have experienced in using online wine store to purchase wine, and data was used to test the proposed research model. The findings showed that perceived usefulness and social influence(subjective norm, image) were key determinants of online wine site trust, but they were not related to online wine site trust. It also was found that perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use and subjective norm were positively and significantly related to online wine purchase intention whereas it had no relationship with image. In addition, online wine site trust was shown to influence on online wine purchase intention. Finally, the mediating effects were found in the relationships between perceived usefulness, subjective norm, and online wine purchase intention. Based on the results of the study, implications for future research are drawn.

  • This paper tried to identify factors influencing consumer trust of Internet shopping mall. There found five factors; validation & contact, security & protection, publicity & image, convenience & pleasure, and refund & delivery. There were differences of mean factor scores among consumer groups classified by frequency of online buying. Implications of the study and further research issue are discussed.

  • With the development of the Internet, online community has been made possible to buy a product in hotel industry. It is expanded gradually the customers buy various banquet services as well as guest rooms or restaurant use. From the 1950s, research has been conducted on trust and various study is achieved in connection with in social psychology or industry marketing. But there is much to be desired on research on trust in on/off-line company and customer's repurchase intention. Verifying the study model and hypothesis established through proceeding research, we would like to know that whether trust in on-line basis can be connected with the trust that already formed about the hotel in off-line basis. Furthermore, how on-line and off-line trust made in hotel industry can affects to customer's repurchase intention. The trust between on-line basis and off-line basis in hotel industry is mutually related. The trust based on off-line hotel company also affects to customer's repurchase intention. But, on-line trust in hotel industry is not related to the customer's repurchase intention.

Mediating Effects of Perceived Risk and Usefulness between Online Information Credibility and Intention to Use (온라인 정보의 신뢰성 및 정보 활용의도 사이의 지각된 위험과 유용성의 매개효과에 관한 연구)

  • Using the theory of attribution, this study investigates the determinants if controllability and explores underlying dimensions of online information credibility, and then investigates if the credibility of online information influences the users' intention to use the online information for evaluating or judging the involved products. Moreover, as a research attempt to investigate the impacts of online information credibility, this study examines whether the main effect of perceived online information credibility on the intention of using online information to make a decision of purchase is mediated by both perceived risk and perceived usefulness. A total of 287 survey forms were collected from online consumers. We examined reliability by exploring internal consistency of the multiple item scales in the overall sample. Convergent and discriminant validity were also examined for evidence of construct validity. Then, PLS technique was employed to test the research model. As a result of analyzing data from a dataset of 287 responses via PLS technique, it is found that (1) both sources (controllability and stability) of perceived credibility are significantly associated with both perceived risk and perceived usefulness, and (2) perceived risk as well as perceived usefulness partially mediate the link between the two sources of credibility and intention to use. The findings of this study also suggest that the two dimensions of online information credibility influence information recipient's intention to use. Moreover, the online information including descriptions about controllability and stability can trigger potential consumers to perceive risk about consumption of the informed products and services. Therefore, providing online information with highly described controllability and stability can increase not only the credibility of the online information itself, but also the intention to use the online information through perceived risk and usefulness.

  • The current study investigated how interpersonal trust is developed in online communities, where most of individual identities are unknown or doubtful. To better understand and theorize the underlying mechanism, a survey was conducted integrating the literature on computer-mediated communication (CMC) and extending previous research on social identify model. The findings confirmed that integrity, benevolence, and openness are essential components in the concept of trustworthiness, which is predicted by social identification and persistency of communication activities in the virtual community.
