비즈니스 인사이드 - 성도GL 후원 헤이리 심포니 오케스트라 정기연주회

  • (주)성도GL/(주)성도솔루윈(대표이사 김상래)이 후원한 제13회 헤이리 심포니 오케스트라 정기연주회가 지난 5월 31일 파주 헤이리 갈대광장에서 열렸다. 이날 오케스트라 단원은 총 65명으로 2006년 헤이리 오케스트라가 시작된 이래 가장 많은 악기가 편성됐으며, 널리 알려지고 익숙한 곡을 주로 연주해 청중들의 큰 호응을 이끌어 냈다.

Community Orchestra Educational Activities and Development of Poor Children (지역사회 오케스트라 교육 활동과 빈곤아동 발달)

  • This study explores the effects on development of poor children by community-based orchestra educational activities and the orchestra educational activities factors for promoting the effects using longitudinal data are those collected for "The Evaluation of the Impact of Our Neighborhood Orchestra on Children's Learning" made by the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra. For these purposes, this study employed a latent growth model analysis of the factors such as depression, aggressive behavior, communality and interpersonal relationship of development of poor children and evaluation, satisfaction, outsiders'attention and participation of facilitative factors. The result shows that they displayed significantly positive development in depression, aggressive behavior, and interpersonal relationship. It appears that the evaluation on music achievement had a positive impact on the rate of change in communality, while the evaluation on attitude had an impact in the initial value of depression, aggressive behavior, and communality, also the sense of satisfaction had a positive impact on the initial value of communality and interpersonal relationship in conditional models. And parents' attention and participation had a negative impact on the initial value of aggressive behavior, while the attention and participation of the community showed a positive impact on the initial value of depression and aggressive behavior. Based on these results, this study attempted to broaden the understanding of the development of poor children taking part in orchestra-based educational activities and provide a practical basis for social workers' direct invention, and look for new ways by shedding light on the merits of the cultural/art education of poor children that engage in the community-based orchestra educational activities.

  • General student orchestra activity is known as desirable hobby for students of adolescent period, developing their creativity and sensitivity, give students sense of belonging and stability by resolving their social, emotional anxiety. Accordingly, his research investigated whether orchestra club activity also has similar effect on university students. As a result unlike of adolescent students, orchestra activity turned out to be not that helpful for the social, self-confidence improvement of university students, though achievement of the activity itself was high. Despite of the result, there exist positive factors; obviously the activity has positive factors analyzing through recognition analysis (opinion mining) using big data. Therefore national support is required also for the orchestra activity of the undergraduates.

  • This study aims to suggest effective management performances of nonprofit arts organizations among competitive environment. To examine the factors which affect the performance of nonprofit performing arts organizations such as external environment, cultural capital, orchestra characters and government grants, this study analyzed the data of 990 tax forms of the US Internal Revenue Service(IRS) of the top 73 symphony orchestras and government sources in USA. Independent variables are measured as sponsorship amount which is the biggest part of orchestras' income, and ticket sales which is profit of inherent business purpose. As a result, the performance of the orchestra is affected positively by the income and influenced by the orchestras' characteristics including age, size, and conductor. Also government grants to the orchestras are essential for organizations to sustain their business. But, there are two different sides on these effects that small to medium groups are influenced by crowding in effect and bigger groups are more likely conducted by business overview. Lastly, cultural capital is no significant relationships to orchestras' management performances. This scope of the study is limited to American symphony orchestras; however, this study is significant in that empirical analysis on nonprofit performing arts organizations from an economic view point and contribute on other nonprofit arts organizations to develop their strategic plan for sustainable business.

  • 어쨌든, OEM사료는 위에서 지적한 대로 양면성이 있다. 그러나 분명한 것은 OEM사료가 지속적으로 성장하려면 기존사료회사와 같이 비슷한 수준의 사료품질 모니터링, 농가기술지도 체계구축 등 조직화가 필요함을 강조하고 싶다. 그렇지는 않겠지만 일시적으로 돈이나 벌어야 하겠다며 품질관리 소홀로 농가에 피해를 주는 행위는 금해야 할 것이다. 축산업을 오케스트라에 비교한다고 해도 과장된 일이 아닐 것이다. 공통점은 조화다. 오케스트라에서 여러 연주자가 서로 다른 악기로 조화를 이루듯이 축산업계에서도 사료, 사양기술, 질병제어기술, 모든 것이 조화를 이루어야 한다. 양면성을 지닌 OEM사료, 올바른 방향으로 건전한 발전을 하길 기대한다.

  • This paper examines the effects of compassion experienced through orchestral service activities on the psychological well-being and self efficacy of the members and empirically verifies the effects of psychological well-being and self efficacy on the dependent variables. This study also demonstrated the mediating effects of psychological well-being and self efficacy on the relationship between compassion and job performance experienced in the orchestra organization. In this study, we surveyed the orchestra members of Seoul and Gyeonggi provinces. The total number of research subjects was 300, and the survey group was composed of 8 groups, 5 groups in Seoul and 3 groups in Gyeonggi Province. The survey was conducted from September 1, 2017 to September 30, 2017 by researchers who visited each group, explored the research method and research contents to the commanders of each group, and surveyed them again. The hypothesis was verified by analyzing 292 copies of the 300 copies of the collected questionnaire, excluding 8 copies of the fraudulently responded questionnaire. The results of this study are as follows: First, it is demonstrated that the napping experience in the orchestra organization positively affects the psychological well-being and self efficacy. Second, psychological well-being and self efficacy have positive effects on job performance. Third, mediating effects of psychological well-being and self efficacy have a significant influence on the relationship between compassion and job performance.

A Study on the Financial Performance for Nonprofit Performing Arts Organizations: Focusing on American Symphony Orchestras (비영리 공연조직의 재정성과에 관한 연구 - 미국오케스트라를 중심으로 -)

  • This study examines financial performance of nonprofit performing arts organizations to provide concrete suggestions and improve their financial performance so that they can build strategies to continue organizational activities. This study investigates empirical data of IRS 990 tax form of top 73 US orchestras and analyzed GLS pannel. Dependent variables are measured as contributions and ticket sales, and independent variables are measured as economic environment, cultural capital, orchestra characters, government grants, and social capital. Based on the finding from the research, determination of contribution outcomes is positively affected by state employment and orchestra's internal characteristics including age, size and conductor's US nationality, government grants, and volunteer. Ticket sales are affected by employment, education level, orchestra's resources, government grants, and volunteer. However, a size of cultural market negatively influences on financial outcomes and cultural capital doesn't influence on results. Interesting finding is a relationship between volunteers and organizations is vital of their fiscal achievement. This is significant in empirical analysis on nonprofit performing arts organizations from an economic view point, and will contribute on organizations to improve their strategic plan to sustain a business.
