Stability of premixed double concentric jets flame with a recirculation zone (재순환역을 수반하는 동축분류예혼합화염에 관한 연구)

  • Stability limits of a double concentric jets flame and the structure of recirculation zone formed behind a thick burner rim were investigated. To control the flame stability, swirled secondary air flow ranging 0.13-0.71 of swirl number, and air, fuel, and mixture gas injection from an injection coaxial slit set on burner rim were examined. Flame stability limits, flame shapes, lengths of recirculation zone, temperature distributions, residence times, air ratios in the recirculation zone were measured. The following results were obtained. (1) Lean limits were considerably widened by a strong swirl because the recirculation zone was enlarged. (2) At fuel injection as well as mixture injection, lean limits were also extended. But, air injection had no effect on stability limits. (3) Injected gas seems to diffuse into the recirculation zone through its outer boundary surrounded the secondary air. Therefore, chemical structure in the recirculation zone with air injection coincides with that without injection. (4) Injection position had no effect on flame stability limits.

  • A diesel engine has various merits such as high thermal-efficiency, superior fuel consumption and durability. Therefore the number of diesel engine in the world is increasing. As the seriousness of environmental pollution increases in the world, the method to reduce the noxious materials of CO2, NOx and P.M. is very important subject to correspond to exhaust gas regulations. A new concept, so called premixed charge compression ignition(PCCI), is focused among the various corresponding manners. In this study, we investigated the combustion characteristics of PCCI engine using a mixed fuels with that of commercial diesel engine. Finally we grasped a emission characteristics of PCCI engine. From this experiment, it could be found that NOx reduction is caused by the lower maximum temperature and soot reduction is caused by rapid combustion under diffusion combustion part. Also, it was found that 1st-combustion(cool flame) and 2nd-combustion(hot flame) is appeared in heat release curve, exhaust gas temperature is diminished and combustion variation is increased according to increasing of gasoline ratio.

  • 안정화 화염으로 수소 확산 화염을 이용한 메탄/공기 난류 예혼합 화염의 미연가스 영역의 난류 특성을 측정하였다. 측정은 동일한 위치에 대해서 화염이 존재할 때와 존재하지 않을 때에 대해 수행되었다. 버너 출구 레이놀즈 수 7000에서 당량비 0.6과 1.0의 경우에 대해 실험이 수행되었다. 난류 유동장은 2색 레이저 유속계에 의해 측정되었다. 21개의 위치에 대해서 반복적으로 측정이 수행되었다.

A Fundamental Study of Hybrid Combustion System Applying Exhaust Gas Recirculation (배기가스 재순환을 적용한 하이브리드 연소시스템에 대한 기초 연구)

  • In this study confirmed the reduction effect of pollutant by applying Fi-EGR and FPI-EGR to hybrid combustion system realizing premixed flame and non-premxied flame at once. The results showed that NOx emission index decreased significantly in case of adopting EGR. Additionally, the hybrid combustion system with EGR resulted in a better performance compared to usual non-premixed combustion system such that it can reduce $NO_x$ emission at equivalent EGR ratios. Especially, in the case of 25% of FI-EGR ratio at hybrid combustion system that the ratio of non-premixed and premixed is 50 : 50, NOx emission index reduction rate was about 59% compared to $NO_x$ emission of non-premixed combustion system without EGR and in the case of 15% of FPI-EGR ratio at hybrid combustion system that the ratio of non-premixed and premixed is 70 : 30, $NO_x$ emission index reduction rate was about 48% compared to $NO_x$ emission of hybrid combustion system without EGR.

보증기간이 있는 시스템의 교체정책

  • 본 논문에서는 혼합보증기간이 있는 수리 가능한 시스템에 대한 최적의 교체정책을 제안한다. 이 교체정책은 보증기간이 재생되는 경우와 재생되지 않는 두 가지 경우에 대해서 고려되며, 최적의 교체주기를 결정하기 위해서 사용자 관점에서의 단위 시간당 기대비용을 사용한다. 시스템의 고장시간이 와이블 분포를 할 때 수치적 예를 통해서 제안된 최적의 교체정책을 설명한다.

  • 본 논문은 색료의 삼원색인 빨강, 노랑 및 파랑을 적절히 혼합하는 경우에 나타나는 색채를 추론하는 문제에 대하여, 퍼지이론을 적용하여 결과를 추론하는 문제를 다루고 있다. 즉, 인간이 색료의 혼합에 있어서 행하는 과정을 모사한 퍼지규칙을 바탕으로 삼원색의 색료가 일정 분량씩 혼합된 경우, 결과적으로 나타나는 색을 직접 실험을 통하지 않고 추론할 수 있는 시스템을 구축하고 있다. 또한, 구축된 시스템에 대하여 여러 가지 예를 통한 모의 실험을 수행하여 본 연구에서 구축된 색채혼합 시스템의 타당성을 검증하였다.

Acoustic Field Analysis of a Combustor-nozzle System with a Premixing Chamber (예혼합실을 갖는 연소-노즐 시스템의 음향장 해석)

  • This paper deals with an acoustic model for a lean premixed gas turbine combustor composed of three stages: premixing chamber, nozzle and flame tube. Our model is given as an acoustic transfer function whose input is a heat release rate perturbation and output is a velocity perturbation at a flame location. We have shown that the resonance frequencies are functions of three round-trip frequencies of acoustic wave in each stage, and area ratios between stages. By analyzing poles of the acoustic transfer function, we could characterize resonant frequencies and their dependency on various system parameters of a combustor. It was found that our analytic findings match with existing numerical and experimental results in literature.

Study of Numerical Modeling of Swirl-Premix Burner for Simulation of Gas Turbine Combustion (가스터빈 연소기의 연소장 해석을 위한 스월 예혼합 버너의 수치적 모델링에 관한 연구)

  • The flow and combustion characteristics in a premixed swirl combustor with a double cone burner are numerically analyzed to adopt a swirler model. The internal recirculation zone formed at the burner exit can be realized by a swirler with inner and outer diameters of 56 and 152 mm, respectively, and accordingly, the flow rate and radial velocity were determined. To select the tangential velocity, swirl and recirculation angles are introduced. A tangential velocity of 40 m/s produces an internal recirculation zone similar to that in a combustor. At the liner exit, the errors in temperature and velocity are 2.8% and 0%, respectively, and they are negligibly small. However, NOx emissions are underestimated by 67% in the numerical results obtained using the swirler model. Although considerable quantitative errors are induced by the swirler model, it can be useful numerical model for the EV burner because it can approximately simulate the essential flow and combustion characteristics in a premixed swirl combustor with a double cone burner and it is expected to make combustion analysis efficient in a gas turbine combustor with complex geometries.
