Effects of Cyberbullying Prevention Education (사이버 괴롭힘 대처 예방 교육의 효과)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of cyber bullying prevention education on university students. The subjects were 64 college students and were assigned to experimental group or Comparison group. The experimental group(n = 33) was educated about cyberbullying coping strategies, and the Comparison group(n = 31) was educated about general cyberbullying We used the Basic Emotions Scale, Helplessness Scale, and Competence Scale to confirm the efficacy of the education. Results, Both the experimental group and the Comparison group showed less negative emotions and helplessness after the education than before the education. In the experimental group, competence was significantly higher than the Comparison group. These results suggest that the inclusion of coping strategy is more effective in increasing competence than cyber bullying prevention education. Finally, the limitations of this study were discussed along with suggestions for further research.

  • Public awareness campaign is the core factor of the national suicide prevention strategies. Korea's current campaign needs to be more systematically developed. This study analyzed the national-level campaigns for suicide prevention of New Zealand, USA, Ireland, Scotland, and Australia whose campaigns were known to be successful, and compared them with those of Korea. With the analysis framework based on the 'Guideline for Effective Health Communication Campaigns' by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, we examined the campaigns from the dimensions of (1) clarity of goals, (2) appropriacy of targeting strategies, (3) suitability of messaging strategies, and (4) efficiency of performance. The results show that effective campaigns for suicide prevention have the following common factors: (1) campaign appellations which include clear goals, (2) targeting at risk groups considering social contexts, (3) slogans which contains specific action guidelines, and (4) close relationships between public and private sectors. On this basis, future directions for more effective suicide prevention media campaigns in Korea are discussed.

A Study on the Parents' and Teachers' Recognition Level about the Causes of Behavior among Children with Behavioral Problems and the Teachers' Teaching Strategies for Problem Behaviors of Children (문제행동유아의 행동원인에 대한 부모-교사의 인식수준과 교사의 지도전략에 관한 연구)

  • This study examined the difference between parents' and teachers' recognition about problem behaviors of children. The findings showed that there was a distinct difference between parents' and teachers' recognition about all problem behaviors of children. Especially, teachers had more recognition about problem behaviors of children than parents. And the reactive interaction and the actual prevention in educational institutions were preferred in the difference between parents' and teachers' recognition about a teaching strategy for children, such that teachers had significantly higher recognition about a teaching strategy for children than parents did, while there was no significant difference in the strategy for social emotion. This means that teachers should originally control and manage various problem behaviors based on the common teaching strategy, which is socio-emotionally recognized, rather than the biased teaching strategy. But the teaching strategy of reactive interaction is preferred in accordance with the type of problem behaviors between teachers and children and the children who show problem behaviors. Especially, teaching strategies of reactive interaction and actual prevention focused on the inhibition and prevention of children's problem behaviors are preferred in light of children's characteristics of many unexpected problem behaviors.

  • 미국과 유럽연합의 몇 나라에서 경험한 바에 의하면, 엄격한 예방접종 정책을 시행하여 일단 일정수준 이하까지 돼지콜레라 발생수를 감소시킨다음, 위생적 처리만으로도 완전박멸이 가능할 수 있을 지경에 이르러 예방접종을 전면중지하는 전략을 쓰는 것이 효과적인 것으로 확인된 바 있다. 이러한 성공적인 박멸 프로그램은 정부의 충분한 재정적 지원이 확보되어야 하며, 양돈업계와 수의업계간에 협력이 잘 이루어지지 않으면 아니된다.

  • This study is to understand sure the primary crime prevention has been incidence as a social problem intended for parents through the analysis of the Crime Prevention Design (CPTED) CPTED element of recognize elements that target crime prevention strategy to effectively help students be and an object of the present invention is to provide a policy suggestion haryeoneunde proposed basic data required for orientation. To achieve the study objectives such as the core framework in this study IPA: Importance-Performance Analysis) also was selected. Subjects of study in 2010 Gyeongju Elementary parents name and were 203 first research group investigating the secondary school population of the region in 2014 to nomadic parents of 297 people sampled selection. Questionnaire that use by this study applies "Important-Performance Analysis : IPA" technique that Martilla & James(1977) presented and analyzed awareness for CPTED elements of strategy for student's crime prevention to elementary school pupil students' parentse. It was the first group, 0.886, 0.920, 0.895 and 2nd group 0.880, 0.906, 0.878 that reliability of (Cronbach' s ${\alpha}$) the importance, and believability of run chart was the first group, 0.880, 0.917, 0.878 and 2nd group, 0.735, 0.840, 0.830.   • This study was conducted to determine the factors affecting influenza vaccination practices among university students, specially influenza vaccination encouragement and perception of preventability. Questionnaires were distributed to 300 college students from April 30, 2018 to November 30, 2018 and of these, 239 answered the questionnaires were used for analysis. Over the past year, 36.8% of the students were vaccinated against influenza. Encouraging people to get vaccinated was a significant factor that affected the practice of influenza vaccination(p<.001). However, perception of preventability was not significant(p=.853). This study is expected to be an effective guide in developing influenza vaccination programs that encourage vaccination in order to increase the vaccination rate.
