A Simplified Method of Drawing Influence Lines for Continuous Beams (연속(連續)보의 영향선(影響線) 작도(作圖)에 관한 한 편법(便法))

  • In case of the analysis of continuous beams, the complexity increases greatly as the number of spans becomes large, and even the slope-deflection method or the moment distribution method is subject to restriction in its utilization. In this study, a revised exact method is developed for the analysis of continuous beams up to four spans, and a new approximate method is proposed for the multi-span continuous beams. This approximate procedure is very simple in its application and provides very satisfactory results which converge closely on the exact ones. These methods can also be used conveniently especially for drawing influence lines for the support moments of continuous beams, and their value is fully appreciated because of notable simpleness as compared with the conventional method which is mainly based on the Muller-Breslau principle.

Application of non-destructive method for evaluation of soil nail length (쏘일네일의 길이평가를 위한 비파괴 기법의 적용)

  • As soil nails support a ground by the friction between nails and soils being reinforced, the length of soil nails is important factor for a ground stability. Thus, the soil nail length has to be accurately evaluated in order to secure a ground stability. The goal of this study is to suggest the applicability of the non-destructive method as the basic research for the evaluation of the soil nail length. First, the elastic and electromagnetic waves are adopted to select an applicable method for the soil nails connected by the coupler. Test results show that while the ultrasonic waves are not detected due to the coupler, the electromagnetic waves are free for the influence of the coupler. Second, electromagnetic waves are measured for combined soil nails with the length of 1 m~15 m for the investigation of the characteristics of electromagnetic waves. The travel time of the electromagnetic wave increases with an increase in the soil nail length. In addition, the ground cable is used to apply the electromagnetic waves to pre-installed soil nails. Test results show that the travel time of the electromagnetic wave by using the ground cable increases with an increase in soil nail length. This study demonstrates that the electromagnetic wave may be a promising method for the evaluation of the soil nail length.

  • 측류취수로와 만곡부가 있는 원형수로를 1:20으로 축척한 모형수로에 대해 수리모형실험을 수행하여 만곡부에서의 유속, 수위와 유황과 같은 수리학적 특성을 살펴보고, 측류취수로가 만곡부에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고자 한다. 도한 모형수로에 대해 ADI방법으로 천수방정식을 수치해석하여 얻은 만곡부에서의 수리학적 특성을 실험에 의한 것과 비교하여 사용된 수치기법으로 검증하였다. 대상이 된 전영역에 대하여 수리모형실험에서 얻어진 유속, 수위와 유황은 수치해석한 결과와 잘 일치한다. 그러나 직각좌표계를 사용함으로서 상대적으로 만곡부에서 단면축소 효과가 발생하므로 수치해석으로 얻어진 유속은 만곡부에서 실험치보다 약간 크게 나타나는데, 이것은 격자간격을 줄이면 개선되리라 판단된다. 수리모형실험과 수치해석 모두 만곡부 외측의 수위가 상승하고 내측의 유속이 빨라지는 만곡부의 특성을 잘 모사하고 있다. 만곡부 직전에 측류취수로가 있을 경우 측류취수로의 영향이 만곡수로내까지 미침을 알 수 있었다.

  • 본 논문에서는 가공 배전선로에 사용되고 있는 피뢰기의 상태 진단을 위한 누설전류 분석기법에 대해 기술하였다. 현장에서 다양한 환경 스트레스를 받고 있는 피뢰기는 점차 열화가 진행되어 선로 고장의 원인이 되므로 이를 사전에 검출하여 고장을 예방하는 것이 중요하다. 피뢰기 이상을 효과적으로 검출하는 방법의 하나로 사용되고 있는 누설전류 측정방법에 대해 평가하였다. 피뢰기 누설전류는 측정 환경에 영향을 받을 수 있기 때문에 현장 측정한 결과와 실험실에서 측정한 결과를 비교하여 분석하여 환경영향을 보정하여 판단하는 방법을 고려하였다. 또한 온도에 따른 누설전류 값의 변화를 분석하여 누설전류에 의한 피뢰기 상태 판단 근거를 마련하였다. 이를 위해 현장에서 설치 운용되고 있는 피뢰기를 지역별로 고르게 발취하여 측정 분석하였다.

Analysis of the Thermal Environmental Characteristic for Musim Stream (청주시 무심천 주변의 열 환경 특성 분석)

  • 본 연구는 충북 청주시에 위치한 무심천 주변을 대상으로 하천이 도시 주변 열 환경에 미치는 영향에 대해 원격탐사(Remote Sensing; RS)기법을 이용하여 분석하였다. 열 환경 특성 분석 순서는 먼저 Landsat 5 TM 위성영상의 열적외 밴드를 이용하여 대상지역의 표면 온도(Land Surface Temperature; LST)를 추출하였다. 다음으로 추출된 LST를 이용하여 무심천을 중심으로 주변의 공업단지와 주거지, 산림 지역의 지표면 온도 분포를 비교 분석하여 하천이 주변의 열 환경에 미치는 영향을 정량화하였다. 또한 공간적 특성 분석을 위해 등온선을 작성하여 하천 주변 열 환경을 파악하였다. 그 결과 온도분포에 따른 열 이동의 크기와 방향을 확인할 수 있었고 열 분포의 공간분포는 공업지>주거지>하천>산림 순으로 나타나 토지이용특성에 따른 열 분포의 경향을 파악할 수 있었다.

A Study on Convergency of Tunnel Displacement using Control Chart Method (관리도 기법을 이용한 터널 변위수렴 특성에 관한 연구)

  • Tunnel deformation happens by excavation. After installation of support, tunnel is gradually stabilized over time. Effect of excavation on tunnel behavior decreases as increase of distance from face. If the time that the displacement converges by tunnel stabilization is estimated, processes after stabilization can be advanced and economic loss can be reduced. In this study, the distance of displacement convergent point from face in the tunnel constructed on sedimentary rock is estimated using control chart method. As the results of analysis using a control of chart, displacements in a sedimentary rock tunnel are converged within 100 m from each tunnel face.

  • This paper describes an efficient and robust optimization method for helicopter rotor airfoil design in forward flight. Navier-Stokes analysis was employed to compute the dynamic response of an airfoil, which simulates the unsteady rotor flow-field in forward flight. The optimization system consists of two categories; Response Surface Method to construct the response surface model based on D-optimal 3-level factorial design, and Genetic Algorithm to obtain the optimum solution of a defined objective function including penalty terms of constraints. The influence of design variables and their interactions on the aerodynamic performance was examined through the optimization process.

  • The objective of this paper is to measure the relative technical efficiency of Korean railway transport service. Previous studies on the efficiency in Korean railway service have carried out before the structural reform of Korean railway industry in 2004, whereas this study used the latest data which reflected the impact of reform. We analyzed the efficiency in Korean railway transport by means of measuring the technical efficiencies of other countries, these were estimated with data envelopment analysis. Using data from 22 railway operators over the period $2000{\sim}2006$, the results indicate that the Korean railway transport has been operated efficiently as compared with others.

  • Recently, The percentile of the apartment housing within the apartment construction of domestic is increasing daily. Especially the construction duration in apartment construction is an very important factor which affects project cost. Therefore the construction companies the effort to shorten construction duration. The influence factors of the construction duration are analyzed to shorten construction duration through this tendency. The shown factors are needed to assessment method efficiently. This study is to suggest a method for the assessment of influence factors about the shortening of the construction time in apartment housing based on the FMEA(Failure Mode and Effect Analysis) method.

Design Optimization of Differential FPCB Transmission Line for Flat Panel Display Applications (평판디스플레이 응용을 위한 차동 FPCB 전송선 설계 최적화)

  • This paper addresses the analysis and the design optimization of differential interconnects for Low-Voltage Differential Signaling (LVDS) applications. Thanks to the differential transmission and the low voltage swing, LVDS offers high data rates and improved noise immunity with significantly reduced power consumption in data communications, high-resolution display, and flat panel display. We present an improved model and new equations to reduce impedance mismatch and signal degradation in cascaded interconnects using optimization of interconnect design parameters such as trace width, trace height and trace space in differential flexible printed circuit board (FPCB) transmission lines. We have carried out frequency-domain full-wave electromagnetic simulations, time-domain transient simulations, and S-parameter simulations to evaluate the high-frequency characteristics of the differential FPCB interconnects. The 10% change in trace width produced change of approximately 6% and 5.6% in differential impedance for trace thickness of $17.5{\mu}m$ and $35{\mu}m$, respectively. The change in the trace space showed a little change. We believe that the proposed approach is very helpful to optimize high-speed differential FPCB interconnects for LVDS applications.
