Current Status and Future Research Directions in Supply Chain Management (공급사슬경영 연구의 현황 및 향후 연구 방향)

  • As the industrial environment becomes more competitive, supply chain management(SCM) has become recognized as a major strategy in the business world. Despite its current widespread popularity, its basic concepts are confused with those of other exiting logistic tools and not clearly understood. This paper introduces the current status of SCM in terms of physical logistics, interrelationship with other logistic tools as well as the general history and definitions of SCM. Researches are categorized into deterministic models, stochastic models, simulation models, and several future research areas are discussed in this paper.

  • Fierce competition in today's global markets, the heightened expectation of customers have forced business enterprises to invest in, and focus attentions on, their Supply Chains, Also Cross Docking is an essential part of SC, and integrating Cross Docking with vehicle routing scheduling is needed to smoothly link the physical flow of SC, However, there is no the mathematical model which focuses on Cross Docking with vehicle routing scheduling. Therefore, the integrating model considers Cross Docking and vehicle routing scheduling will be developed in this paper. And the solution based on Tabu algorithm to this model will be provided.

  • For many practical optimization problems where the system components are stochastic, the objective functions can not be represented analytically. Furthermore, many of these problems are characterized by the presence of multiple and conflicting objectives. In this research, we introduce a new algorithm through an interactive cutting plane method for solving this multi-criteria simulation optimization problem. Then a turning process is evaluated through the proposed algorithm.

  • 비디오의 주행계의 안정성은 비디오 품질의 중요한 요소로서 이에 영향을 주는 인자들은 다양하며 여러 인자들이 복합적으로 작용하여 비디오 테이프의 주행상에 영향을 준다. 본 연구에서는 D전자회사의 비디오 주행경로의 변동을 최소화하기 위하여 어떠한 인자를 제어하는 것이 필요한지 주요 인자의 선정문제를 회귀분석을 이용하여 결정하는법, 선정된 인자의 최적수준 조합을 결정하는 문제를 해결하는 절차와 부품의 조립허용공차의 선정절차를 제시한다.

  • The objective of this paper is to develop a model to integrate process planning and resource planning through analysis of the machine tool selection and operations sequencing problem. The model is formulated as a travelling salesman problem with precedence relations. To solve our model, we also propose an efficient genetic algorithm based on topological sort concept.

  • 본 연구는 홀로닉 생산시스템의 개요와 연구 방향에 관한 것으로써 홀로닉 생산시스템의 출현 배경, 개념, 기존 연구결과 및 주요 연구 분야에 대하여 서술하였다. 생산시스템은 하드웨어의 발전과 더불어 이의 운영 기법이 시대에 필요에 맞게 발전해 왔는데 홀로닉 생산시스템은 오늘날의 소비 패턴과 시스템 내외의 환경 변화에 부응하여 새롭게 제시된 시스템이다. 시스템의 구성요소들은 자신의 목표를 수행하면서 동시에 시스템 공동의 목표 수행을 위해 서로 협력 및 협상한다. 아직까지 뚜렷한 시스템이 구축되어 가동되고 있는 예는 없고, 연구 중에 있지만 홀로닉 생산시스템은 차세대 생산시스템의 새로운 방향을 제시할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

  • This paper proposes a sequential procedure which can be used to determine a truncation point and run length to reduce or remove bias owing to artificial startup conditions in simulations aimed at estimating steady-state behavior. It is based on the idea of Lyapunov exponent in chaos theory. The performance measures considered are relative bias, coverage, estimated relative half-width of the confidence interval, and mean amount of deleted data.

  • Printed circuit board (PCB) assembly line configuration is characterized by very long set-up times and high work in process (WIP) inventory level. The scheduling method can significantly reduce the set-up times and WIP inventory level. Greedy sequence dependent scheduling (GSDS) method is proposed based on the current methods. The proposed method is compared with the current method in terms of three performance measures: line throughput, average WIP inventory level, and implementation complexity.

  • A mixted integer non-linear programming model which has the object function as minimizing building costs, and constraints with the functions for carrying capacity and service level of queueing time is developed. By using the proposed model, the most adequate on a building and the most economical elevator's specifications could be determined by sequential search method like complex method.

  • Holonic manufacturing system is a new approachto the organization and architecture of decentralized, autonomous and cooperative manufacturing system. The new paradigm combines the concepts of hierarchical systems and the integration of autonomous elements in distributed system. Today's scheduling and control techniques are mostly based on a centralized structure. Only little work has been done on scheduling and control of decentralized, autonomous and cooperative manufacturing system. This paper proposes a new approach IPM(Interactive Prediction Method) for scheduling and control of holonic manufacturing system.
