The purpose of this study is to examine cinematic representations of places in the Korean War films on the event of 1950 'Incheon Landing', focusing on the place representations. 'Incheon Landing' of September 1950 provided a turning point for the Korean War, and the event can be interpreted totally different from the South Korean and the North Korean perspectives. Two films on the same event of the 'Incheon Landing' - a South Korean film, "Incheon Landing Operation"(1965), and a North Korea film, "Wolmido"(1982)- were selected as major sources of analysis and comparison. each director has different intentions. One film was taken from the landing army's viewpoint, whereas the other film was taken from the defender's viewpoint. As a result, one film emphasized the battle as a spectacle of glorious victory from the landing army's viewpoint, while the other film glorified those soldiers killed in the battle as heroes from the defender's viewpoint.

In this thesis, the development and the verification of the test-aid are described, providing various attitude errors through the electric stimulus to the Sun sensor. This test-aid for 2-axis analogue Sun sensor is used for polarity test in the assembly stage for GK2 satellite. The test-aid used for GK2 satellite is for COMS satellite and, due to the failure risk, manufactured by domestic company. The characteristics of the COMS test-aid used for GK2 satellite and the manufactured test-aid are showed with similar through the several tests. In this thesis, there are conformed the capability for replacing of test-aid because the characteristics of the manufactured test-aid is acquired same as that of the COMS test-aid using the controller tuning functions.

During the past 30 years, DRAM has been used for the reasons of economic efficiency of the production. Recently, PRAM has been emerged to overcome the shortcomings of DRAM. In this paper, we propose a technique that can reduce energy consumption by use of a narrow values to the write operation of PRAM. For this purpose, we describe the data compression method using a narrow value and the architecture of PRAM, We also experiment under the Simplescalar 3.0e simulator and SPEC CPU2000 benchmark environments. According to the experiments, the data hit rate of PRAM was increased by 39.4% to 67.7% and energy consumption was reduced by 9.2%. In order to use the proposed technique, it requires 3.12% of space overhead per word, and some additional hardware modules.

Low temperature processed ZnO-TFTs on glass below $270^{\circ}C$ for plastic substrate applications were fabricated and their electrical properties were investigated. Films in ZnO-TFTs with bottom gate configuration were made by RF magnetron sputtering system except for $SiO_2$ gate oxide deposited by ICP-CVD. ZnO channel films were grown on glass with various Ar and $O_2$ flow ratios. All of the fabricated ZnO-TFTs showed perfectly the enhancement mode operation, a high optical transmittance of above 80% in visible ranges of the spectrum. In the ZnO-TFTs with pure Ar process, the field effect mobility, threshold voltage, and on/off ratio were measured to be $1.2\;cm^2/Vs$, 8.5 V, and $5{\times}10^5$, respectively. These characteristic values are much higher than those of the ZnO-TFTs of which ZnO channel layers were processed with additional $O_2$ gas. In addition, ZnO-TFT with pure Af process showed smaller swing voltage of 1.86v/decade compared to those with $Ar+O_2$ process.

The IIA(Inchon International Airport) which will function as the HUB airport in the northeast Asian region in the upcoming 21th century will be located in the reclaimed land with sand dredged in the vicinity of project area between Youngjong and Yongyu islands. The original ground is composed of soft clayey silt (ML) or silty clay (CL). The reclaimed land is classified as being SP-SM and having poor gradation of Cu<3 which resulted in the anticipation for difficulty in compaction (compaction index = 0.6~0.7). This anticipation shedded light on the necessity of performing test compactions for the thickness of 3~5meters of reclaimed land, aiming at the discovery of effective and economical compaction method. Upon the call for the test compaction performance 4 different compaction methods have been selected for trial from the research done on the international and local academic papers, past experience with compaction works, and their written materials. For the precise interparetation of test results, the ground survey and measurements have been performed. The Hydraulic Hammer Compaction has been chosen as the most optimum in accordance withe the test results.

This paper presents a reference-less dual loop clock and data recovery (CDR) circuit that supports a data rate of 2.496 Gb/s for the mobile industry processor interface (MIPI) M-PHY. An adaptive loop bandwidth scheme is used to implement the fast lock time maintaining a low time jitter. To this scheme, the proposed CDR consists of two loops for a frequency locked loop and a phase locked loop. The proposed 2.496 Gb/s reference-less dual loop CDR is designed using a 65 nm CMOS process with 1.2 V supply voltage. The simulated peak-to-peak jitter of output clock is 9.26 ps for the input data of 2.496 Gb/s pseudo-random binary sequence (PRBS) 15. The active area and power consumption of the implemented CDR are $470{\times}400{\mu}m^2$ and 6.49 mW, respectively.

The study analyzed the frequency, type, and context of violence in 10 school-life webtoon published on Korean portal-site, Naver. Results of content analysis showed 2.15 PAT(Perpetrator-Action-Target) per 1 episode. As for the types of violence, physical violence accounted for 73.2 percent of PATs. As for the characteristics of characters, 53.6 percent of those who committed violence were set to have good-looking. 35.9% of those who committed of violence were heros and 37.3% were villains. The case that perpetrator and target were friends accounted for 60.8%. The case that a travesty is made of the violent scenes adopting excessive expressions, overtures, and balloons accounted for 66.7%. The most common motive for violence was the means for the interests and beliefs of individuals and groups (29.4%), followed by fun (20.9%). The case that the punishment or compensation for violence is absent accounted for 79.9%.

In this study, biomechanical stability of the newly developed revision total knee arthroplasty (rTKA) was evaluated through strain and stress distribution analysis within the implanted proximal tibia using a three-dimensional finite element (FE) analysis. 2000N of compressive load (about 3 times body weight) was applied to the condyle surface on spacer, sharing by the medial (60%) and lateral (40%) condyles simulating a stance phase before toe-off. The results showed that PVMS within the revision total knee arthroplasty and the proximal tibia were less than yield strength considering safe factor 4.0 (rTKA: less than 10%, Cortical bone: less than 70%, Cancellous bone: less than 70%). The materials composed of them and the strain and stress distributions within the proximal tibia were generally well matched with those of a traditional revision total knee arthoplasty (Scorpio TS revision system, Stryker Corp., Michigan, USA) without the critical damage strain and stress, which may reduce the capacity for bone remodeling, leading to bone degeneration. This study may be useful to design parameter improvement of the revision total knee arthoplasty in biomechanical stability point of view beyond structural stability of revision total knee arthoplasty itself.

In this study, the effects of psychosocial stress (box color and precision demand) on muscle activity were evaluated in laboratory setting. Eight subjects performed sagittally symmetric lifting tasks. Box color (yellow, black), precision demand (yes, no), and box weight (5%MVC, 10%MVC, 15 %MVC) were varied and surface EMG signals from seven muscles(medial deltoid right, biceps brachii right, lateral triceps right, latissimus dorsi right, erector spinae right, external oblique right, internal oblique right) were recorded. EMG signals were band-pass filtered($10{\sim}400\;Hz$), rectified, RMS smoothed and normalized (NEMG). Analysis of variance tests were conducted on the total NEMG (TNEMG: the sum of the seven muscles' NEMGs) and on the individual muscle's NEMGs. Box color had no effect on the TNEMG and on the seven muscles activities(p>0.05). When precision demand was required at the end point of lifts, the mean NEMG showed higher values than no precision demand conditions: TNEMG (14% increase) and medial deltoid(40% increase), biceps brachii(10% increase), lateral triceps(26% increase), latissimus dorsi(25% increase) muscles. Those increases showed more conspicuous as the box weight increased in the muscles of medial deltoid, lateral triceps, and latissimus dorsi.

In order to create a national myth and be able to control international society, America with her short national history, used popular culture to accomplish these goals. The medium fit this purpose the best was the use of superhero characters based on comics. Born and developed from the 1930s through the 1960s, which could be seen as America's national crisis era, superhero characters were thorough advocates of American justice and was perfect for the role of spreading the legitimacy of American ideology. From the 1970s, superhero characters became part of movies and became even more influential through the Hollywood's massive film industry and the box office success. American ideology in superhero characters symbolically appeared in movie costumes. Starting with Superman and Batman, the very first and typical superhero characters' costumes work as metaphors for realization of American justice. After the 1980s, superheroes were newly developed through a genre called graphic novel and the most representative piece of this genre is Alan Moore's Watchmen. In the Watchmen, which was also turn into a movie in 2009, six changed superhero characters appear ranging from a non-human superhero, villain superhero, superhero with mental disorder and superhero with sexual impotency, the characters were never-seen-before superheroes with different aspects that connote introspection and philosophical ideology. The changed type of heroes and ideology became another form of heroes, and this brought changes to character costumes that were never considered before. The superhero costumes that used to symbolize America now express different types of superhero by borrowing exotic mythical elements, undressing, pastiche and daily life clothes. The superhero characters and their changes in costumes from Watchmen imply American popular culture's introspective tendency. Amongst these changes, we need to raise our critical vision towards popular culture.
