Several high nitrogen stainless steel ingots(100kg) were fabricated with changing Ni and $[N]_2$ contents by Pressurized Vacuum Induction Melting(P_VIM). After free forging process, chemical compositions, microstructure and mechanical properties were estimated. Hardness was increased with the increase of $[N]_2$ content. Furthermore, microstructure including a lot of tempering twins was observed with optical microscope. Mechanical properties were estimated as function of solution treatment temperature and cooling method(air/water) under duration time of 1 hr on sample that were fabricated with Ni content under the atmospheric $[N]_2$ pressure. At solution treatment range of $1050{\sim}1100^{\circ}C$, hardness was decreased with the increase of solution temperature and there were little discrepancy of microstructure and hardness with cooling method. Computer simulation was carried out in order to inspect pass schedule in cold rolling process. When the condition of simulation was roll speed of 2.5mpm, rolling rate $15{\sim}17%$ per pass, it was ascertained that the formation such as deformation by sticking and lamellar sliver etc. was restricted from a simulation.
Materials used for education include SM20C, Al6061, and acrylic. SM20C materials are used a lot in certification tests and functional competitions as carbon steel, but they are also used in industrial sites. Al6061 is said to be a material that produces a lot of tools because it has lower hardness than carbon steel and is highly flexible. When practical guidance is given to students using acrylic materials, it is a material that causes vibration and tool damage due to excessive cutting. In this process, we examine how impact on the 5-axis equipment 2NC head can affect precision control. The weakest part of a five-axis equipment is the head that controls the AC axis. In the event of precision and cumulative tolerances in this area, the precision of all products is reduced. Thus, a key part of the 2NC head, the spindle housing was carried out using Al7075 T6 (U.S. Alcoasa) material and the entire body using FCD450 (spherical graphite cast iron). In the vibration and cutting process acting on these two materials, the analysis was carried out to determine the value of applying the force as a finite element analysis under extreme conditions. We hope that using these analytical data will help students see and understand the structure of 5-axis machining rather than 5-axis cutting.
Recently, the South Korean government actively opens the public data to encourage people to use it in private sector. It is based on 'Government 3.0' that is the paradigm for government operation. According to this trend, a data platform is required for establishing and commercializing business models that utilizing geospatial data. However, it is currently insufficient to establish the geospatial data system using the text-based public open data. This study constructs a geospatial data supply system using the public data for the purpose of providing and using the public data of spatial reference type efficiently. It improves the accessibility of user and the usability to the public data having location information. Besides, this study suggests that the components of the appliance system that connects the public data from different public institutions for different purposes with producing the geospatial data in the type of a finished product.
One of the important topics to prepare the up-coming era of so-called ‘hydrogen economy’ is hydrogen transmission. Pipeline is conceivably the most economic way to consistently and safely transport a large amount of hydrogen over a long distance, which may be strongly requested in hydrogen economy era. As a good starting point for the purpose, one might wonder whether conventional API pipeline steels as designed for natural gas transmission can be used as the hydrogen pipeline materials or not. To answer the question, here we performed a series of micro-/nano-indentations together with tensile tests on the hydrogen-charged API X65, X70 and X100 steels having different strength level. In this paper, from the results of tensile tests, the hydrogen effects on the mechanical behavior in the API steels are systematically evaluated.

Because of their high out-of-plane and in-planes strength, trapezoidally corrugated plates have been increasingly used in buildings and bridges. If corrugated plates are used as the web of plate girders or prestressed concrete box girders, the flanges take most of the bending stress. On the other hand, the corrugated plate web supports shear stress due to the accordion effect. The corrugated plate web could fail by three different buckling modes: global, local, or interactive shear buckling. To determine the effects of geometric parameters on the buckling capacity of the corrugated plates, a parametric study was performed using finite dement method. The analysis results showed that the buckling capacity and modes depend on individual parameters as well as combinations of parameters.

In this study, shape design and material selection were carried out for a two-stage pressure-reducing regulator to compensate for the shortcomings of a one-stage mechanical decompression regulator. The shape of the contact surface of the depressurization unit was considered, material was selected, and the shape was designed to compensate for the pulsation and slow response through the two-stage decompression and to solve the problem of high pressure deviation. In terms of airtightness, the deformation amount of TPU showed a small amount of displacement of up to 15.82%. Considering the fact that it is applicable to various hydrogen fuel supply systems by securing universality by applying electronic solenoids to the second pressure reduction, magnetic materials were selected. The hydrogen embrittlement and corrosion resistance were evaluated to verify the plating process. Surface corrosion did not occur in only the case of Cr plating. The elongation during the corrosion process was compared using a tensile test, and there was a difference within 2%.
Plasticizers are chemical additives added to polymers to have a desirable effect on mechanical properties such as processability and ductility. In this paper, we explore the use and market of eco-friendly plasticizers that can replace phthalate-based plasticizers that have been traditionally used in the plastics market. Bio plasticizers are derived primarily from biomass sources, including agricultural products, by-products and wastes. Regardless of the source of biomass, an ideal eco-friendly plasticizer should be non-toxic, have high resistance to volatilization, extraction, and migration, have good compatibility and compatibility, and be economical. The global bio plasticizer market is expected to reach USD 2.1 billion by 2030 from USD 1.3 billion in 2020, growing at a CAGR of 5.31% from 2021 to 2030.

This study conducted tensile tests on SA508 Gr.1a low alloy steel and SA312 TP316 stainless steel piping materials under various strain rates at room temperature (RT) and $316^{\circ}C$ to investigate the effects of loading rate on the deformation behavior of nuclear piping materials. At RT, the deformation behavior for both pipe materials showed a typical loading rate dependence, i.e., the strength increased and the ductility decreased as the loading rate increased. At $316^{\circ}C$, however, the strength and elongation of SA508 Gr.1a low alloy steel decreased as the loading rate increased, and its reduction of area non-linearly varied with the loading rate. For SA312 TP316 stainless steel, the strength, elongation, and reduction of area at $316^{\circ}C$ were almost the same regardless of the loading rate. At both temperatures, the strain hardening capacity was nearly independent of the loading rate for SA508 Gr.1a low alloy steel, while it decreased with increasing loading rate for SA312 TP316 stainless steel.
This study examined the effects of drying methods of Aronia melanocarpa on contents of total polyphenols and flavonoids, antioxidant activity and anti-inflammatory activity. As a result, freeze-dried aronia extract (FDAE) significantly exhibited higher contents of total polyphenols and flavonoids (155.76 mg GAE/g and 105.70 mg QE/g) than hot-air dried aronia extract (HDAE) (134.93 mg GAE/g and 82.29 mg QE/g). Also, FDAE showed greater antioxidant activity than HDAE in both DPPH and ABTS. For anti-inflammatory activity, NO production from lipopolysaccharide activated RAW264.7 cell reduced at a dose-dependent manner in both FDAE and HDAE. However, reduction rate of NO production is higher in FDAE (62.7%) than in HDAE (33.5%). These results suggest that comparatively, freeze-drying is a better method for preserving the antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activities and of aronia.
Poly-lactic acid (PLA) is the most promising polymer in additive manufacturing as an alternative to acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS). Since it is produced from renewable resources such as corn starch and sugar beets, it is also biocompatible and biodegradable. However, PLA has a couple of issues that limit its use. First, it has a comparatively low glass transition temperature of around 60 ℃, such that it exhibits low thermal resistance. Second, PLA has low impact strength because it is brittle. Due to these problems, scientists have found methods to improve the crystallinity and ductility of PLA. Polyethylene glycol (PEG) is one of the most studied plasticizers for PLA to give it chain mobility. However, the blend of PLA and PEG becomes unstable, and phase separation occurs even at room temperature as PEG is self-crystallized. Thus, it is necessary to investigate the optimal mixing ratio of PLA-PEG at the molecular scale. In this study, molecular dynamics will be conducted with various ratios of L-type PLA (PLLA) or DL-type PLA-PEG (PDLA-PEG) systems by using BIOVIA Materials Studio.
