A Study on the Status of Research Performance Analysis Services in University Libraries: Focusing on the Research Performance Management System (대학도서관의 연구성과분석 서비스 현황에 관한 연구 - 연구성과분석 시스템을 중심으로 -)

  • Research competitiveness is the future of the university and the future of the country. This study is to present considerations when university libraries introduce and perform research performance analysis services and to propose guidelines for selection of analysis solutions. In order to achieve the purpose of this study, 6 university library staff were interviewed and 4 research performance analysis solutions were compared. The contents of the interview include the background of service promotion, service content, subscription solution, service provision scope and provision method. The research performance analysis solutions selected for analysis are InCite, SciVal, RIMS and Scholytics. As a result of analyzing the four solutions, it was found that most of the software has the necessary functions to perform research performance analysis service tasks, and generally subscribed to the solution according to the purpose of analysis. The results of this study can be used as reference materials for performing research performance analysis services in university libraries.

A Study on the Correlation between Service Nature by Service Industry and Job Performance: Focusing on Demographic Characteristics (서비스산업별 서비스본질과 직무성과와의 영향 관계 연구: 인구통계학적 특성을 중심으로)

  • It is very important to explore new management theories that are better in line with the modern service economy era in order to cement the foundation of the service industry in this rapidly changing business environment. This study examined the relationship between service essentials and job performance by service industry, and verified and discussed in depth whether there is difference between service essentials and job performance by demographic characteristics. The results of this study are as follows: First, an analysis of the effect of service essentials on job performance found the interaction, horizontality and harmony of service essentials had positive effects on performance, but the relationship didn't. Next, an analysis of the effect of service essentials on job performance by representative service industry showed that in the transportation industry, interaction and harmony had positive effects on performance, but relationship and horizontality didn't affect performance. In the financial and insurance industries, horizontality and interaction had positive effects on performance, but harmony and relationship didn't affect performance. Accommodation and food industries, interaction, horizontality and harmony had positive effects on performance, but relationship didn't affect performance. In the medical and health industries, interaction and horizontality had positive effects on performance, but relationship and harmony didn't affect performance. In terms of demographic characteristics, in the financial and insurance industries, interaction and harmony showed a significant difference by age, but only horizontality showed a difference by the number of years of service. In the accommodation and food industries, only horizontality showed a difference depending on the number of years of service. In the medical and health industries, relationship, horizontality and harmony showed a difference depending on the number of years of service, but only horizontality showed a significant difference by marital status. In the future, comparative national studies are needed for all industrial groups.

The Effect of Service Orientation of Hotels on CRM Performance (호텔기업의 서비스지향성이 CRM성과에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was to identify the effects of hotel organizational service orientation on CRM(customer relationship management) performance. The organizational service orientation has been considered very important for excellent service quality in many existing studies. The data were collected from employees in deluxe hotels of the metropolitan area with the questionnaire. To test the hypotheses, using AMOS were conducted for 379 respondents as a sample collected. The results show that customer's authority, service training, service reward significantly influenced to competitive advantage. Among the three variables the service reward was especially significant. In addition, competitive advantage significantly influenced to CRM performance (relationship commitment, image of corporation, customer's loyalty). So it is very important for employee to give a authority, share of service training program, give a reward what they want. Because that system can lead to the good performance. As a result, the CEO of hotel has to attention the organizational service orientation for achievement of the CRM performance.

A Study on the Influence of Service Nature by Service Industry on Job Performance (서비스산업별 서비스본질이 직무성과에 미치는 영향 연구)

  • In the modern economic area of service-based logic, the importance of the service industry continues to increase. Yet in spite of the various promotional policies of the government, growth remains at a standstill. It is now time to turn away from the outwardly visible form of the issue and to contemplate its root cause. This study thus investigated the service essentials based on philosophical thought in order to secure the continuous growth and competitive advantage of a service industry with an unshakable foundation. The effect of service essentials on job performance by service industry was also empirically analyzed. To conduct the study, a research hypothesis was verified by using the final 900 copies of survey data for service industry workers for data analysis. The results of the study on service essentials showed that interaction and harmony were found to have a positive effect on job performance in the transportation industry, while it verified the positive effects on job performance for interactivity and horizontality in the finance and insurance industry, and interactivity, horizontality and harmony in the hotel and resort industries. As a result, it was confirmed that service essentials had a partial effect on performance in the service industry. Various and in-depth studies on service essentials are thus required in the future, and it is also necessary to expand the parameters or adjustment variables that are capable of affecting performance.

  • 서비스 인카운터의 제고는 서비스기업의 마케팅성과에 매우 중요하다. 서비스 인카운터는 서비스기업의 경쟁전략과 서비스전달시스템간의 적합성에 의해 영향을 받는다. 그러므로 서비스기업의 경쟁전략과 서비스전달시스템간의 적합성정도는 서비스기업의 마케팅성과를 높이는데 있어 핵심성공요인이 된다. 본 논문은 금융산업을 대상으로 서비스기업의 경쟁전략, 서비스전달시스템 결정요인, 서비스전달시스템의 유형간의 적합성 여부가 마케팅성과에 미치는 영향에 대해 실증분석을 하였다. 실증분석 결과 서비스기업의 경쟁전략과 서비스전달시스템 결정요인간의 적합도가 높을수록, 그리고 경쟁전략과 서비스전달시스템의 유형간의 적합도가 높을수록 마케팅성과가 높아지는 것으로 나타났다.

중국 사이버대학의 서비스 특성화가 성과에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구

  • 본 연구의 목적은 사이버대학의 성과에 영향을 미치는 서비스 특성화 요인을 찾는 것이다. 본 연구에서는 사이버대학의 성과를 교수, 졸업 및 취업, 브랜드 이미지 측면에서 접근하였고, 선행연구를 토대로 하여 사이버대학의 성과에 영향을 미치는 서비스 특성화 요인으로 콘텐츠 다양성, 콘텐츠 품질, 콘텐츠 실무지향성, 강의 실재감, 학습관리를 도출하였다. 연구모형을 검증하기 위해 중국의 사이버대학에 재학 중인 대학생들을 인터넷 설문을 배포하여 총 170부의 유효설문을 수집하여 실증 분석하였다. 실증 분석한 결과, 다음과 같은 다섯 가지의 연구결과를 확인하였다. 첫째, 콘텐츠 다양성 수준이 높을수록 사이버대학의 성과는 높아지는 것을 확인하였다. 둘째, 강의 콘텐츠 품질이 우수할수록 사이버대학의 성과는 높아지는 것을 확인하였다. 셋째, 콘텐츠 실무 지향성이 높을수록 사이버대학의 성과가 높아지는 것을 확인하였다. 넷째, 강의 실재감이 높을수록 사이버대학의 성과는 높아지는 것을 확인하였다. 다섯째, 학습관리 수준이 높을수록 사이버대학의 성과가 높아지는 것을 확인하였다.

An Empirical Study on the Effect of Logistics Firm's Innovation Activities on Business Performance (물류기업의 혁신활동이 경영성과에 미치는 영향에 관한 실증연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze whether innovation activities of logistics firms affect innovation performance and service quality improvement and whether innovation performance and service quality as a result of innovation activities affect these firm's business performance. First, I undertake a review of previous studies and theories related to innovation activity and innovation performance. Additionally, previous studies on improvement of service quality along through innovation performance were analyzed. Based on this, I set up a research structure and hypotheses. To this end, I used the workplace panel survey data of the Korea Labor Institute(KLI) and used a total of 88 samples. I use the Partial Least Square(PLS) approach to structural equation modeling. The results of the empirical analysis show that innovation activities of logistics firms have a positive effect on innovation performance and service quality improvement, and innovation performance and service quality have a positive effect on financial performance. Evidently, innovation activities bring a clear competitive advantage to the logistics firms and improve their service quality. This implies the ability of logistics firms to survive amidst competition while getting a competitive edge.

A Study on the Evaluation of Service Quality and Importance-Performance Analysis in Research Libraries (전문도서관의 서비스품질 측정과 중요도-성과분석에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine users' perceived importance for service attributes and performance in research libraries, and further to suggest the improvement strategies for research libraries. The survey was conducted for the library users of 14 government-funded research institutes. The questionnaire for this research was developed from the standard LibQUAL+. Statistical analyses were conducted to identify the relationship between service quality and users' satisfaction, and the gap between perceived importance and performance by user groups. According to the result of statistical analyses, the priority of service improvement strategies of research libraries were suggested.

  • Because recently the efficiency and effectiveness of public services has been an important issue, various studies related with performance management system in the area of public service has been actively investigated. The study of the performance management system relied on qualitative or quantitative assessment. However, because the field of the public service is very wide and complex, holistic view is required. Therefore, this study presents a new framework for performance management system which can evaluate public service based on the various aspects by adding carefully quantitative evaluation, DEA (Data Envelopment Analysis) and qualitative assessment. Finally, by applying to the public service of Changwon, the usefulness and feasibility of this framework are validated.

  • The purpose of the study is to identify the flexibility of marketing effects which applies of practical service guarantee strategy over hotel service and methodological effects of practical service guarantee. And the detailed purposes were: first of all, how service guarantee strategy identified by previous theoretical researches influences on a service reliability and service value practically; second, how service reliability and service value influence on customer loyalty; third, how service guarantee influences on customer loyalty directly. According to the results, 5 hypotheses were selected from 5 research hypothesis proposed in this study. The concrete contents were; First, the study inspected how service guarantee strategy influences on service reliability and service value practically. The result was that service guarantee exerted positive influence on service reliability and service value. Second, the study inspected how service reliability and service value influence on customer loyalty. The result service reliability and service value exerted positive influence on customer loyalty. Third, the study inspected how service guarantee strategy influences on customer loyalty. The result service guarantee exerted positive influence on customer loyalty.
