A Study on the Firm Performances Regarding Technology and Employment of Government-financed SME R&D (정부지원 R&D의 중소기업 기술 및 고용 성과에 대한 연구)

  • This paper used individual establishment level data to estimate the effects of government support for the research and development of 'small and medium enterprises'(SMEs). We analyzed, on the establishment level, the degree of technical advancement, strength of private R&D incentives, and the effect on employment levels of firms which participated in the 2010 government R&D support project. The results of this study are as follows. First, the size and frequency of government investment in the R&D of SMEs were both positively correlated with the amount of patent registrations. Furthermore, we found that the amount of patent registrations were positively correlated with the size of the establishments, but the average level of technological advancement for the firms running the research was lower than the average level of technological advancement for the firms merely participating in the project. Second, the government's R&D policy was found to be complementary to private R&D incentives, and a 1% increase in government R&D investment resulted in an inelastic increase (0.193~0.245%) of the firms' post-program R&D spending. Third, we found that R&D support from the government contributed to an increase of employment by the participating firms. Additionally, we found that the impact of R&D support on job creation varied for the firm size and technological characteristics. Therefore, it is important for governments to take into consideration each type of small business, when setting R&D policies.

  • Interest and investment in agri-food ventures is increasing worldwide. Agri-food venture startups are also increasing in Korea, but there are constraint factors due to industrial characteristics, and infrastructure and investment for growth are insufficient. This study confirmed the effect of technology commercialization capability and competitive strategy on the growth prospects of agri-food venture companies and the mediating effect of business model innovation. And, through comparison with previous studies, the industrial characteristics were identified by confirming the difference between all venture companies and agri-food ventures. For this, only agri-food ventures data were extracted from the original data of the Research on the Precision Status of Venture Firms 2021. And empirical analysis was conducted. As a result, manufacturing capability, cost leadership and product differentiation had a positive(+) effect on growth prospects. The mediating effect of business model innovation between manufacturing capacity, product differentiation and growth prospects was verified. Through the research results, factors affecting the long-term growth prospects of agri-food ventures were identified in consideration of industrial characteristics. In addition, practical implications in connection with business model innovation of agri-food ventures were presented. In future research, it is necessary to develop an objective measurement tool and to conduct a detailed analysis according to business history and company size.

  • Future Internet has been designing and developing in the world because of overcoming limits of current Internet and accepting new requirements. Therefore it is totally different from architectures of current Internet and it is based on Clean-Slate. Future Internet already has been studying with enormous investment by advanced countries such as USA, EU etc. Technical characteristics of Future Internet can be categorized into Infra techniques, Architectures and Service techniques. Especially, our country is in a superior position in Infra techniques and Service techniques. We can have competitiveness to develop trust communication in Future Internet because we have advantages of various Services such as mobile communication, Machine to Machine and Sensor Networks. This paper aims to analysis reference model of trust communication in Future Internet. To achieve this, we studied analysis of security techniques in four Future Internet researches of NSF.

  • This study developed the Climate Variability Index (CVI) to assess the water resources through adding detail indicators into the existing regional Water Poverty Index (WPI) to consider climate variability and flood damage. This study aims at selecting indicators of WPI focused on water availability and regional climate variability, assessing regional variability of the indices during 1998-2007, and providing information to help determining the priority of water sector policies, investment, and applications. The WPI represents the relationship between the level of welfare and the water use. Considered with flood management and climate variability, CVI added by regional characteristics may be used in water resources management as well as flood mitigation for coping with climate change.

  • 인구의 증가와 경제의 발전으로 인해 한정된 수자원에 대한 수요가 급증하였고 향후 고도의 복지사회 구현과 지방 자치화에 따른 각종 용수 수요에 대한 심각한 물 배분 문제가 대두되고 있다. 특히 심각하게 물 배분 문제가 야기될 때 각 수요지점별로 필요한 용수를 공급하기 위해서 단지 상류에서 하류 단으로 물을 배분한다면 수리권의 공정성 문제가 제기되며 물 관리 원칙의 결여에 따른 곤란한 상황이 발생할 수 있다. 이렇게 갈수 및 가뭄 시와 같이 물 배분 문제가 생길시 에는 우선 하천유역 전체의 가용수량을 파악한 후 각 용수 사용별로 중요성을 감안하여 용수공급 우선순위를 설정하여 전 하천 유역을 통하여 일관된 배분을 실시할 수 있는 수자원 최적화 배분 시스템을 개발 할 필요성이 있다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위하여 본 연구에서는 한국수자원공사 수자원연구원과 콜로라도주립대학에서 공동 개발한 유역 네트워크 유량 모델(River Basin Network Flow Model)인 K-MODSIM을 이용하여 유역통합 실시간 일 저수지 운영 모델을 개발하였다. 개발된 유역통합 실시간 일운영 모델은 금강유역에 적용하였으며, 금강유역을 12개의 소유역으로 구분하고, 용담댐과 대청댐을 포함하며, 유역관리는 용수공급, 치수대책, 발전수력 및 하천 유지용수의 공급등의 유역내 수자원 관리 상황을 포함하였다. 이처럼 유역의 매우 자세한 세부사항을 고려함으로서 기존에 개발된 모델이 가지고 있던 단순화의 단점을 보완하고 유역의 특성을 최대한 반영하도록 하였다. 또한 유역통합 실시간 일운영 모델의 장기적인 저수지 운영 문제를 해결하기 위해 암시적 추계학적 동적계획법을 사용하여 도출된 월운영룰을 일운영모델에 적용할 수 있는 방법을 제시 하였다.기능으로 구성되어 있으며, 각 기능을 선택하면 해당 화면으로 GUI가 전환된다. 따라서 다량의 측정자료의 신뢰성을 유지하고 이를 모형의 입력자료로 활용하는 일련의 과정을 시스템화하기 때문에 자료의 이상적 유지 관리가 이루어지며 복잡한 2차원 수질해석 모형을 수월하게 운영할 수 있는 시스템으로 개발하였다.제외하면, 부자측정 방법에 의한 유량산정시 가장 큰 오차원인은 홍수시 측정된 유속측선의 위치와 홍수 전후로 측정된 횡단면상의 위치가 일치하지 않는 점과, 대부분 두 측정 구간의 평균값을 대푯값으로 사용한다는 점이다. 본 연구는 다년간의 유량 측정 및 검증 경험과 자료를 토대로 현장에서 부자를 이용하여 측정된 측정성과를 정확도 높은 유량자료로 산정하는데 있어서의 문제점을 도출하고, 이로 인해 발생하는 오차를 추정하여 그 개선방안을 제시해 보고자한다. 더불어 보다 정확한 유량 산정을 위한 기준과 범주를 제시하고자 한다.리적 특성을 잘 반영하며, 도시지역의 복잡한 배수시스템 해석모형과 지표범람 모형을 통합한 모형 개발로 인해 더욱 정교한 도시지역에서의 홍수 범람 해석을 실시할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다. 본 모형의 개발로 침수상황의 시간별 진행과정을 분석함으로써 도시홍수에 대한 침수위험 지점 파악 및 주민대피지도 구축 등에 활용될 수 있을 것으로 판단된다. 있을 것으로 판단되었다.4일간의 기상변화가 자발성 기흉 발생에 영향을 미친다고 추론할 수 있었다. 향후 본 연구에서 추론된 기상변화와 기흉 발생과의 인과관계를 확인하고 좀 더 구체화하기 위한 연구가 필요할 것이다.게 이루어질 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.는 초과수익률이 상승하지만, 이후로는 감소하므로, 반전거래전략을 활용하는 경우 주식투자기간은 24개월이하의 중단기가 적합함을

  • Delphi technique is widely used to develop consensus on group opinion. It is important to identify the strategic technologies and evaluate technology level for the establishment of national R&D policy to upgrade technology level. The aim of this article was to reflect on Food Safety technology level by using Delphi methodology. And, competitiveness of patents and journal articles is evaluated for Korea, USA, Japan, China and EU. As a result, USA is the most competitive country for all technology categories. The average technology level of Korea was 79.5% of world-top coungry and average technological gap was 6.1 years. Korea is grouped in middle-lower class for overall food safety technology level. However, there are some variances among the level of technologies. As a result of this study, food safety research management needs to expand R&D investment and training of food safety specialist. The results of this research can be utilized to establish a road map for transportation R&D and plans.

  • There are many recent menial manufacturing firms not equipped with automatic checking system in their final process. And the check is based on the human perception so the automatic checking system is needed for the consistency and the accuracy of the checking process to elevate the productivity and the Quality. As the performance of computer systems and the vision systems has been increased the cost for the system is reduced and their applicable algorithms have been developed. In this study we develop monitor checking system which is low-cost, fast, and easy to adopt by the small-scaled manufacturing firms. The system is based on the computer vision techniques, and is equipped with the GUI interface and checking functions such as centering, yoke rotation, pincushion. sizing. Monitor checking system developed in this study can be used in the final checking process thereby we expect the synergy effects both on the efficiency of production and on the reduction of the cost for the facility investments.

Endogenous Growth and Firm Value of Venture Companies (벤처기업의 내생적 성장이 기업가치에 미치는 영향)

  • This study researches the correlation between the firm value, which can be represented as Tobin's Q in this paper, and other financial information. The research is based on the financial statistics of KOSDAQ-listed Venture manufactures, which is comprised of the venture businesses group and the general group. The multiple regression, the correlation test tool, shows the R&D expenditures and tangible assets have the positive relation with the firm value while training expenses and the return on assets have the negative one. More specifically, R&D expenditures and total assets have the affirmative relations with the firm value among the venture businesses, whereas tangible assets, advertising expenses, and training expenses have the negative ones. The positive correlation between total assets and the firm value of venture business, shows that the volume of intangible assets impacts on the firm value of venture businesses. It also reflects the features of venture businesses highly relying on the technology development. The results are summarized as follows: First, The R&D expenditures and firm value have been positively correlated in the KOSDAQ-listed companies. Second, total assets and firm value has the positive correlation in the venture businesses.

  • Incheon Free Economic Zone is the first free economic zone specified in 2003 in Korea. Previous research on the Free Economic Zone has focused on the activation of the free economic zone or foreign investment issue at the level of the national economic plan. Related to the development of a free economic zone, studies are currently insufficient on the relevance of the local economy, the development of linkages with hinterland, and the balanced regional development. Therefore, this study tried to investigate the impact of Incheon Free Economic Zone to the local economy through analyzing the causes and characteristics of the imbalance between the regions in Incheon by comparing before (1996~2002) and after (2003~2009) of the Incheon Free Economic Zone legislation (2003). The result shows that development of the free economic zone has not been connected to the local economy activation and the ripple effect on the old town in Incheon. Further, the construction of a large apartment and infrastructure in the free economic zones have increased the disparity between the free zones and the old town.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the competitiveness of OTT operators by developing an analysis framework specialized for the OTT industry. Based on existing research on business model, platform business model, and OTT characteristics, the OTT platform business model framework was developed, and case analysis was conducted based on data from related materials, literature, and internal data to suggest the direction for domestic OTT operators. As a result of the study, domestic OTT operators should use advanced AI and big data technologies to produce original content and improve the infrastructure and service quality of the platform. This study is meaningful in that it provides an analysis framework for OTT operators to establish their own competitive strategies and suggests the direction for domestic OTT operators through case application.
