The purpose of this study is to present the improvement of connection system between traffic information centers for reliable traffic information service. We recognized traffic information error caused by too much time in conjunction between traffic information centers, lack of reliability of traffic information caused by absence of generation time and generation institution of traffic information. We presented minimization methods of connection time, improvement methods of reliability of traffic information and development methods of connection state management system.

The Transport policies in Korea have been planned and implemented as a part of a larger economy policy based on the achievement of economic growth. As a result, previous transport policies have been focused mostly on the supply of transport infrastructure. The average annual economic growth of six percent and a twelve percent growth in motor vehicles until the late 90s led to the acceleration of the imbalance between the supply and demand of infrastructure. As such, there is a need to establish an innovative transportation policy in order to increase national competitiveness and provide momentum for national growth in the Twenty one century. This research has developed strategies and policies based on interviews that were carried out with specialists in transport field. Moreover, some transport policies have been established for the year 2020 through the conducting of a survey. The survey was conducted by interviewing respondents on making the priority of transport policies. which was then analyzed using the Data Envelopment Analysis with ranked voting data. The results are as follows. The most urgent matter was considered to be the development of a inter-modal transport system, followed by an integrated service system for public transport, and the need to increase the competitiveness of the transport and logistics industries and to further transport safety. Meanwhile, the provision of transportation for disabled people as well as the elderly was considered to be less important in Korea than in welfare nations. This stems from the belief as further attention needs to be paid to the construction of a public transport system, the establishment of transportation networks construction in preparation for reunification and the North-East Asian era, as well as the privatization of the transport infrastructure.

As the rapid increase of highway investments from Private sector the organizations of highway operator became diversified, and thus causing various unexpected problems. Highways invested by private capitals have different fare rates and managing systems. It is desirable to reduce drivers' inconvenience using more than two sections of highways spread over different jurisdictions. The main purposes of this research are i) data survey and problem statements ii) prediction of future problems and preparing appropriate countermeasures. This research are divided into two parts. They are management system and fare collection system. Major investigations of this study are as follows, optimum toll operation models depend on charging systems and interchange shapes of two interconnecting expressways. Assuming that the current payment and the new electronic payment system aye used concurrently for a while, some alternatives for the inter-operation to collect tolls ate suggested focusing on the efficiency to tollway corporations as well as convenience to drivers. The advantages and disadvantages of the alternatives, including their characteristics, are compared.

Recently, there has been a noticeable increase in the number of tourists in islands that are well-known for their natural landscapes. It is expected that this number will go up steadily, due to the increase in per capita income and leisure time. Regarding tourism transportation, utilizing linkage transport between coastal passenger terminal and inland transport system is crucial. However, the existing system does not measure up to the expectations. This is attributable to the fact that the distances between coastal passenger terminals and inland transportation terminals are too far. Also, the current public transportation system lacks support and needs to take the role of connecting the two terminals. This study shows how coast-inland linkage transport system should be reformed in order to promote island tourism. It focuses on building linkage transport system and minimizing walking distance. Also, adjusting passenger ship schedule to the characteristics of island tourism is needed. For the sake of passengers, coastal passenger ship fare should be reduced, and integrated transport information should be provided.

본 연구에서는 국내ㆍ외의 도로교통부문 연구동향을 살펴보고, 현재 미국, 영국, 일본 등의 선진국에서 추진중인 도로교통분야 연구과제들을 수집하여 분석함으로써 우리나라의 향후 도로정책 수립에 기여할 수 있는 도로교통분야 연구방향을 제시하였다. 우리나라와 선진국의 도로교통 연구분야를 크게 10가지로 제시하였으며, 국내의 도로교통분야 연구 중 미약한 분야와 초기단계분야 및 중간단계분야를 정성적으로 제시하였다. 이 중, 지속 가능한 도로교통체계의 확립분야, 인간중심의 도로교통체계분야, 연계교통체계 및 복합운송체계 분야, 육상(도로) 물류분야에 과감한 연구개발 및 투자가 필요한 것으로 나타났으며, 무엇보다도 도로교통분야 연구전반에 지속적이고 과감한 투자가 필요한 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 양(Quantify)-공급(Supply)-중심의 도로교통정책에서 질(Quality)-성과(Performance)- 중심의 도로교통정책이 수립되어야 하며, 향후 도로교통정책의 결정시 관련 분야 연구와의 연동화를 통한 도로교통정책-연구의 연동시스템이 정착되어야 한다.

Railroad is the environment-friendly green growth transportation system and it needs connection and transfer system. Connection system can be a national core project centered in main railroad stations. If there is no transfer system for customers, it's very difficult to achieve green growth and the activation service for public transportation. This study will introduce the establishment of connection & transfer system and the activation methods between main stations in South Gyeongsang area (Changwon, North-Changwon, and Masan) and other transportation modes. These methods will be the model for connection & transfer system of main stations, and will be applied to adopt methods for customers' convenience of railroad public transportation.

본 논문에서는 전자, 통신, 제어, 컴퓨터공학 등의 첨단기술을 교통공학에 응용하여 기존의 도로 효율성을 극대화 시키는 방안으로 제시되고 있는 첨단 교통체계(ITS)연구의 기반시스템인 지능형 교통관리체계(ATMS)의 시스템 구성 및 제공서비스를 개관하였다. 연구범위는 ATMS의 개념 및 정의, 시스템의 기능적 요구사항 및 기본구상, 그리고 제공서비스의 종류를 살펴보았다. 향후 지능형 교통관리체계는 대도시 교통 소통을 완화시키는 방안으로서 도시가로에 영향을 미치는 교통정보 제공시스템, 주행안내시스템, 대중교통 및 화물운송 체계 등과 연계되는 종합교통체계 구축의 기반이 될 것으로 기대된다.

Recently, the building of an intermodal transportation system has become the most important policy in the establishment of a national-wide sustainable transport system. In the case of rail and public transport, an intermodal connecting improvement policy is essential due to the lack of trip completeness. In particular, high-speed rail has brought dramatic changes to the transportation system in Korea and the idea of high-speed rail stations as major transportation nodes to be linked to various travel modes needs to be analyzed in terms of an intermodal network. Thus, this study proposes a new connectivity analysis method to objectively and quantitatively evaluate intermodal connecting performance for high-speed rail in terms of an intermodal network around high-speed rail stations. Seoul, Busan, Ulsan, and Sin-gyeongju stations were designated for a range of spatial analyses; detailed connecting performance indexes of travel modes connecting high-speed rail stations, and the influence sphere of these stations are analyzed, except for internal transfer facilities. Finally, this study proposes a connectivity analysis method that applies the structural equation model and develops a connectivity index.

This paper insists that the accessibility and transfer facility has also to be included in railway investment because railway mode can not be, what is called, a door to door service. At present those facility are not included in the railway investment with them in negligence. Since those facility is not treated with railway system there is no room to get a budget from the central government. This paper suggests that all the measurements have to be implemented, based on the LOS (Level of Service) of accessibility and transfer at railway stations. The LOS has to be as low as reasonably practical (ALARP) which can be derived from the consensus between government and citizens. Also, a couple of procurement methods are suggested for accessibility and transfer facility separately. Finally, improvement of regulations are also suggested.
