Aspect of Human-Centered Design in Contemporary Design of Time and Change : Focus on Analysis of Affordance and Psychological Bases (현대 시간성 디자인의 인간중심 디자인적 측면 : 어포던스에 의거한 행태지원 측면 분석을 중심으로)

  • Post-modern period differentiates itself from Modern period in many aspects. One of these is the emphasis on phenomena which are ephemeral and changing. This paper looks at the psychological bases of these expressions of time & change in contemporary design and their affordances on human behavior. It also analyzes the types of time & change design on the basis of the behaviors they afford. This will lead us to the understanding of how the design including time & change expresses the spirit of the age and how it can play positive roles in human psychology.

Curve Estimation among Citation and Centrality Measures in Article-level Citation Networks (문헌 단위 인용 네트워크 내 인용과 중심성 지수 간 관계 추정에 관한 연구)

  • The characteristics of citation and centrality measures in citation networks can be identified using multiple linear regression analyses. In this study, we examine the relationships between bibliometric indices and centrality measures in an article-level co-citation network to determine whether the linear model is the best fitting model and to suggest the necessity of data transformation in the analysis. 703 highly cited articles in Physics published in 2004 were sampled, and four indicators were developed as variables in this study: citation counts, degree centrality, closeness centrality, and betweenness centrality in the co-citation network. As a result, the relationship pattern between citation counts and degree centrality in a co-citation network fits a non-linear rather than linear model. Also, the relationship between degree and closeness centrality measures, or that between degree and betweenness centrality measures, can be better explained by non-linear models than by a linear model. It may be controversial, however, to choose non-linear models as the best-fitting for the relationship between closeness and betweenness centrality measures, as this result implies that data transformation may be a necessary step for inferential statistics.

Evaluation of Results in Recent Flexible Solar Cell Research Trends via Network Analysis Method (네트워크 분석을 이용한 플렉시블 태양전지 최근 연구동향 분석)

  • The purpose of this research was to introduce a network analysis method for analyzing the recent trend of the flexible solar cell using a scholarly database. Based on the five years from 2013 to 2017, we used centrality analysis of research papers via measurement of degree centrality, closeness centrality, and betweenness centrality. The results of network analysis show that cell has a centrality value above 0.8, which means that cell is connected with 80% of the total keywords, so it is recognized as the center of flexible solar cell research. The analysis results also indicate that perovskite and copper indium gallium diselenide (CuInGaSe2, or CIGS) are the center of the subgroup for cell. We recognize that the result refers to recent new technology called the CIGS/perovskite tandem solar cell. We hope that the network analysis method will be the appropriate and precise tool for technology and research planning via elaboration and optimization.

Analysis on the Korean Highway in 2011 and 2017 Using Algorithms of Accessibility indices (접근성 지표의 알고리즘을 이용한 2011년과 2017년의 우리나라 고속도로 분석)

  • This paper proposes new algorithms of accessibility indices to analyze the connectivity of the Korean highway network. First of all, we find a transportation network that presents Korea's highway network in graphs in 2011 and 2017. And we analyze and compare the nation's highway network in 2011 and 2017 using concepts such as associated number, the relative distance, the accessibility, the degree of connectivity, the index of dispersion, the diameter of graph theory. To do this, an algorithm is presented which can easily obtain various accessibility indices from a given transportation network. Using the simulation results of this study, we can find city that is the center of traffic in the highway transportation network. In addition, cities that are included in the network but are relatively underdeveloped can be found and used as basic data for enhancing the connectivity of the nationwide traffic in the future. Moreover, the proposed algorithms of accessibility indices, which are modeled on highway transport networks, can help identify the accessibility space structure of each city and provide criteria for efficient and reasonable selection of alternatives in various regional planning processes, including transportation.

  • We are now in the era of digital convergence with CE products and PC at the center, but product diversification occurs in the same breath. Each device may perform its own functions itself independently, but proportion of the inter-device usage is increasing gradually by concept of a home network and ubiquitous widely prevailed. The consumer's need of inter-device connection will take the dominative position of the market. Therefore, we can easily forecast that diversification of the products may inevitably lead connectivity patterns complicated considering recent market situation and trends. In this paper, we propose the methodology for designing inter-device connectivity which covers issues such like segmenting numerous number of connectivity pattern, and establishing their structure of control. Our methodology also supports the inter-device connection with extensive latitudes and a multi-device simultaneous control. In order to present inter-device connectivity guideline, we define four stages of a user experience - Connection, Configuration, Use, Disconnection. Based on the 4 user experience stages, we suggest a specific connectivity designing guideline for each step.

A Study on the Changing Connectivity of Pedestrain Network Using Space Syntax - Focussing on Restoration of Cheonggyecheon - (Spacee Syntax를 이용한 보행자 네트워크 연결성 변화연구 - 청계천복원사업을 중심으로 -)

  • This study examines the consequent impact which Cheonggyechoen restoration project of Seoul makes on pedestrian network structure around the inner city, especially in terms of sustainable developments and the city's balanced development. It identifies variation of Global Integration and Local Integration of the pedestrian networks which is compared by before and after conditions with east-west and south-north walking axis by using Space Syntax. The results show respectively different set of Global and Local Integration. First, Global Integration shows high performance along the east-west axis, while pedestrian spatial networking is balancing through Donhwamunno and Samillo. Second, Local Integration illustrates both performance along both the east-west axis and the south-north axis after restoration of network. It is primarily concentrated in Taepyeongno$\sim$Samillo section(business and commercial-centered) before the restoration. In addition, total integration is holistically improved while the networking in Samillo$\sim$Baeogaegil section(the instrument shopping streets) if almost same as one another Moreover, in Baeogaegil$\sim$Dongdaemun Stadium section(market-centered), the connectivity of Cheonggyechoenro is improved after the restoration. All in all, Cheonggyechoen restoration project of Seoul allows traffics to be equally accessible from the east-west axis and the south-north axis and contributes to the connectivity improvement of the east-west axis as well as the south-north axis.

A Study on Analysis of American CMP Textbooks in terms of mathematical connectivity -Focused on equations, inequalities, and functions- (수학적 연결성 관점에서 CMP 교과서 분석 -방정식·부등식과 함수 단원을 중심으로-)

  • Educational objectives for mathematics in the curriculum revised in 2009 and the curriculum revised in 2015 put great emphasis on practical use of math, but perception of that lacks at schools. Accordingly, this research is recognizing the need for paying attention to curriculum focusing on mathematical connectivity and is inspecting CMP curriculum which has been developed over the years to reinforce problem solving competence and improve communication skills. This study analyzes CMP textbooks published as third edition in 2014 after several revisions, focusing on equations, inequalities and functions. First, this thesis analyzes mathematical connectivity using a new analysis framework which applied the modes of representation(situations, verbal description/ tables/ graphs/ formulae) made by Janvier(1987). Second, this research analyzes connectivities between different units, various sections, other subjects and practical contents related to the real life. The results: CMP textbooks use various practical materials for specific situations. They represent twelve processes of connectivity according to the modes of representation of Janvier. The books also show relationship between equations and functions, between inequalities and functions. And CMP textbooks include other subjects and practical contents.

  • 사물인터넷은 실세계와 가상세계에 존재하는 사물들을 네트워크로 상호 연결하여 사람과 사물, 사물과 사물간에 언제 어디서나 서로 소통할 수 있도록 하는 미래 인터넷 기술이다. 본 고에서는 글로벌 표준단체 및 산업체 컨소시엄을 중심으로 이뤄지고 있는 오픈소스 기반 사물인터넷 플랫폼 개발 동향을 알아보고, OCEAN 연합체를 중심으로 2015년 1월 공개된 oneM2M 릴리즈1 기술규격에 기반한 사물인터넷 공통플랫폼 Mobius, &Cube 개발 및 오픈소스 공개 내용과 향후 추진방향에 대해서 살펴본다.

  • 최근 학제간 연구에 대한 관심이 커지면서 자연스럽게 연구자들 간의 협력관계, 특히 학술적 협력관계에 대한 관심 역시 증가하고 있다. 이에 따라 공저 네트워크 자체의 속성에 대한 연구 뿐만 아니라 공저 분석 기법을 통해 특정 학문 분야의 지적 구조를 해석하려는 연구들이 꾸준히 진행되고 있다. 본 연구는 공저 네트워크 분석을 통해 국외 학제적 저널의 공저 현황과 소속기관 유형을 살펴보고 매개 중심성과 연결정도 중심성을 통해 학술지별 주요 소속기관과 저자들의 위치, 그리고 그들간의 협력 관계를 살펴보고자 하였다.
