소형 펄스 안테나를 위한 분포저항 장하 기법과 특성 분석

  • 광대역 스펙트럼을 갖는 신호의 송, 수신을 위한 안테나는 분산 및 단부(end points)에서의 전류 반사가 최소로 되어야 한다. 이를 위해 안테나 상에 저항을 적절히 분포시키는 방법을 소개하고, 그 방법을 사용한 대표적인 펄스 송, 수신안테나의 특성을 살펴보고자 한다. 그리고 비선형적으로 분포된 저항을 갖는 다이폴 안테나의 ps 전자기 펄스 송, 수신 특성을 펄스폭, 안테나 길이와 형상 등을 변수로 하여 시간영역 해석을 통해 엄격히 분석한다.

  • 본 논문에서는 영전압 스위칭을 하고 브리지가 없는 부스트 역률 보상 회로를 제안한다. 제안하는 회로에서는 브리지 다이오드를 제거하여 도통 손실을 줄일 수 있다. 게다가, 스위치 내부 다이오드의 역회복 전류 문제를 줄여주고 스위치가 영전압 스위칭을 하므로 스위칭 손실을 크게 줄일 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 제안하는 회로의 이론적 해석 및 설계방법을 설명하고 실험결과를 통해 회로의 동작을 검증한다.

The reliability physics of SiGe hetero-junction bipolar transistors (실리콘-게르마늄 이종접합 바이폴라 트랜지스터의 신뢰성 현상)

  • The reliability degradation phenomena in the SiGe hetero-junction bipolar transistor (HBT) are investigated in this review. In the case of the SiGe HBT the decrease of the current gain, the degradation of the AC characteristics, and the offset voltage are frequently observed, which are attributed to the emitter-base reverse bias voltage stress, the transient enhanced diffusion, and the deterioration of the base-collector junction due to the fluctuation in fabrication process, respectively. The reverse-bias stress on the emitter-base junction causes the recombination current to rise, increasing the base current and degrading the current gain, because hot carriers formed by the high electric field at the junction periphery generate charged traps at the silicon-oxide interface and within the oxide region. Because of the enhanced diffusion of the dopants in the intrinsic base induced by the extrinsic base implantation, the shorter distance between the emitter-base junction and the extrinsic base than a critical measure leads to the reduction of the cut-off frequency ($f_t$) of the device. If the energy of the extrinsic base implantation is insufficient, the turn-on voltage of the collector-base junction becomes low, in the result, the offset voltage appears on the current-voltage curve.

  • This paper has proposed a 3~5 GHz low-power and wideband LNA(Low Noise Amplifier), which has been implemented in a 0.18-${\mu}m$ CMOS technology. The proposed LNA has basically the noise-cancelling topology to achieve a balun-function, wideband input matching, and relative low noise figure. In addition, it has utilized a 2nd-order LC-band-pass filter(BPF) as its output load to achieve higher power gain and lower noise figure with the lowest dc power consumption among previously reported works. The proposed amplifier consumes only 3.94 mA from a 1.8 V supply voltage. The simulation results show a power gain of more than +17 dB, a noise figure of less than +4 dB, and an input IP3 of -15.5 dBm.

  • Facility power-line electromagnetic interference (EMI) filters are used to provide radio frequency(RF) isolation between dedicated power distribution services and noise sensitive local power distribution systems. This type of EMI filters generally needs a high current capacity and, in some special applications, a high insertion loss of a minimum 100dB from 14kHz through 10GHz per MIL-STD 220 is required. This paper deals with an analysis and design of a wideband facility power-line EMI filter with the above requirements. The characteristics of the inductor and capacitor at high frequencies are investigated. The characteristics and design method of the facility EMI filter with a high order LC network are also presented. The prototype filter is finally implemented and its performance is verified from the experimental results.

  • A study on the electrochemical reduction of uranium (VI) to uranium (IV) was carried out in the mixed phases of an organic phase with uranium (VI) and aqueous phase of nitric acid by use of a highly packed glassy carbon (GC) fiber column electrode system, and a model for in-situ electrolytic stripping of uranium (VI) was suggested. The electrochemical reduction of uranium (VI) occurred faster in organic phase than in aqueous phase of the mixed phases. The uranium stripping yield increased and then became constant with the increase of organic flow rate of the electrolytic system due to the increase of diffusion resistance of uranium ions in the organic phase into the aqueous phase. Aqueous flow rate, on the other hand, didn't affect the total uranium (VI) reduction current in the system. The system combined with electrochemical reduction was confirmed to be much more effective than the simple system without it in stripping uranium.

Inverted π Feeding PIFA for Gain Improvement for the Mobile Phone (이득 증가를 위한 휴대 단말기용 역 파이 급전 PIFA)

  • It is shown that inverted ${\pi}$ feeder affects the gain improvement for the internal antenna of mobile phone. Generation of current on the inverted ${\pi}$ feeder, by the modification of conventional feeding structure for the PIFA and IFA, can apply T matching theory to the new feeder. Therefore, inverted ${\pi}$ feeder based on the T matching theory makes higher radiation resistance, and also increases the gain. To verify inverted ${\pi}$ feeding effect, feeder is applied to GSM/DCS dual band conventional PIFA, and measured return loss and patterns. By measurement, it's shown that this new feeding antenna has $0.23{\sim}0.84$ dB higher average gain for GSM band and $0.01{\sim}1.74$ dB higher average gain for DCS band than conventional fed PIFA without resonant frequency change.

  • This paper describes patch antenna design method of antenna high gain and broad bandwidth using cylindrical magneto material around feeding line. Strong current induction method applied combination to generate magnetic fields around feeding line for antenna high gain characteristic and principle of PIFA designed application for design of antenna broadband. In case of single CMM, gain increased 3.96 dB compare with the reference antenna gain however bandwidth characteristic not increased compare with the reference antenna. In case of dual CMM, gain improved about 10 dB compare with the reference antenna and -10 below bandwidth is 700 MHz(50 MHz~750 MHz) with this paper designed high gain characteristic.

  • In this paper, a small broadband dipole antenna that simultaneously satisfies DCS1800/PCS/WCDMA/WLAN is designed and fabricated. To reduce the size and to improve the bandwidth of planar microstrip dipole antenna, a new symmetric double-ring radiator structure is used. An antenna can be reduced with increasing effective current length of dipole, and can be obtained a wide band impedance characteristic with decreasing reactance component by using a novel symmetrical double-ring structure. The proposed antenna shows broadband characteristic of 1.07GHz(52%) from 1.5GHz to 2.57GHz with VSWR < 2 (${\leq}-10dB$).

A Study on the Electrochemical Characterization of Stainless Steel in Triethanolamine Solution (트리에탄올아민용액에서 스테인리스강의 전기 화학적 특성)

  • In this study, the current-voltage curves for stainless steel in the triethanolamine(TEA) solution was measured using the conventional three electrodes of cyclic voltammetry. Stainless steel as working electrode, Ag/AgCl electrode as reference electrode and Pt wire as counter electrode were used respectively. As a result, the C-V characteristics of stainless steel were to be for an irreversible process due to the oxidation current from cyclic voltammogram, using triethanolamine solutions. Effective diffusivity of corrosion inhibitors was decreased with increasing concentration. And the concentration of 0.5 N $NaClO_4$, $2.5{\times}10^{-3}M$ TEA solution when the corrosion inhibition effect is most great, and 1.5 N $NaClO_4$, $1.0{\times}10^{-3}M$ TEA solution, the lowest corrosion inhibition effect.
