항공기용 유압 스푸울 밸브의 윤활해석

  • 유압장치의 핵심부품인 유압 제어밸브(hydraulic control valve)는 유압펌프 등에 의하여 가압된 유압유의 압력과 유량을 제어하고 유동방향을 변화시키는 주요기능을 수행한다. 특히, 대부분의 제어밸브는 스푸울(spool)과 슬리브(sleeve)를 기본구조로 채용하고 있다. 피스톤 형상인 스푸울이 슬리브내를 왕복운동하면 스푸울과 슬리브 사이의 간극(clearance)에서는 점성유체인 유압유의 윤활작용에 의하여 원주방향으로 비대칭인 유체압력이 발생한다. 이 결과로 스푸울에 측력(lateral force)이 작용하며, 조건에 따라서는 스푸울에 작용하며, 조건에 따라서는 스푸울에 작용하는 마찰력이 증대할 뿐만 아니라 스푸울과 슬리브의 내벽에 과도한 마멸(wear)을 유방시키기도 하여 제어밸브의 성능을 크게 저하시키기도 한다. 유압공학분야서는 이를 유체고착(hydraulic locking) 현상이라고 부른다. 본 논문에서는 항공기 Flap actuator의 Selector manifold에서 사용되는 스푸울 밸브의 성능에 큰 영향을 미칠 것으로 예상되는 스프울과 슬리브 사이 간극에서의 윤활특성을 이론적으로 조사하고자 한다.

기술현황분석 - 원전 압력방출장치의 용량인증기관 현황

  • 원전발전소에 납품되는 원전용 안전밸브의 성능은 ASME나 KEPIC와 같은 기술기준코드에 따라 설정압력, 블로우다운(blowdown), 풀리프트(Full lift), 누설(leakage), 방출용량(discharge flow rate)등과 같은 특성인자로 평가된다. 그 중에서도 방출용량은 ASME SEC III NB 7000 코드에 따라 ASME 용량인증이 요구되지만, 아직 국내에는 국제적으로 공인되니 압력방출장치 용량시험기관이 부재하여 외화유출 및 국내 PRD 기술개발에 많은 어려움이 있어왔으며, 이에 따라 원전 PRD 인증기관 개발을 통하여 세계적인 인프라 구축의 필요성이 부각되고 있다. PRD 인증기관 구축은 국내 원전 핵심기자재의 고급기술 국산화에 이바지 할 수 있고, PRD 성능 및 용량시험지원을 통하여 국내 밸브기술 경쟁력 확보하는 데 기여할 것으로 기대된다.

Data-based Analysis for Pressure Gauge Optimal Positioning in Water Supply Pipeline (상수관로 압력계 최적 위치선정을 위한 데이터기반 시험분석)

  • The management and installation methods of pressure gauges in water supply pipeline are not efficiently regulated and their installations are different in each site. In this paper, various domestic and overseas documents are examined about the pressure gauge. In order to improve the efficiency of operation management such as pipeline network and pump operation, water pressure needs to be measured as accurate as possible, by which decision making for optimal pipe network can be achieved. To get the goal, the installation of pressure gauge should be reviewed about where and how to install. In this study, an optimal horizontal distance test is conducted, in which pressure value variation is monitored and analyzed according to up and down stream distances and valve flow control, and a optimal vertical position test is also analyzed by installing the pressure gauges vertically from the up(180°) to the bottom (0°) of the pipeline.

Closing Characteristics of a Main Oxidizer Shut-off Valve (연소기 산화제 개폐밸브 닫힘 작동특성)

  • We study the closing characteristics of a self-sustainable poppet valve which serves as a main oxidizer shut-off valve for liquid rocket engines. Numerical analysis for predicting closing transient responses are presented and the calculated results have been verified by a comparison with experimental data. The effective area of a pilot gas discharge system and the pressure distribution of passage flow around the valve moving part are shown to be main parameters in determining the closing characteristics for dry and cryogenic conditions, respectively. Moreover, it is presented that the passage flow pressure at the valve closing moment as well as the valve closing velocity can be effectively adjusted by the appropriate employment of the pilot gas.

  • According to the structure, solenoid valve can be categorized as spool valve or poppet valve. While various research on spool valve which has simple structure and fine susceptibility to contamination has been conducted, poppet valve which has less susceptibility to contamination and advantage in a long time operation still need much research because of its complicated structure. In order to design the poppet valve, various parameters such as the diameter of the poppet, the angle of the poppet, the diameter of the disk, the spring stiffness, the spring preload and flow path structure should be considered. Conventional studies on poppet valve usually take only one design parameters and did not much focused on the effect of the parameters on flow characteristics. In this paper, the change of the flow characteristics according to the design parameters of the poppet valve for 3/2Way solenoid valve is analyzed. The previous studies and the results of initial model analysis was referred for the selection of the design parameters. The effects of design parameters on maximum pressure, minimum pressure, and pressure drop was examined using analysis of means(ANOM).

Numerical investigation on the flow noise reduction due to curved pipe based on wavenumber-frequency analysis in pressure relief valve pipe system (감압 밸브 배관 시스템 내 파수-주파수 분석을 통한 곡관의 유동소음 저감에 대한 수치적 연구)

  • A sudden pressure drop caused by the pressure relief valve acts as a strong noise source and propagates the compressible pressure fluctuation along the pipe wall, which becomes a excitation source of Acoustic Induced Vibration (AIV). Therefore, in this study, the numerical methodology is developed to evaluate the reduction effect of compressible pressure fluctuation due to curved pipe in the pressure relief valve system. To describe the acoustic wave caused by density fluctuation, unsteady compressible Large Eddy Simulation (LES) technique, which is high accuracy numerical method, Smagorinsky-Lilly subgrid scale model is applied. Wavenumber-frequency analysis is performed to extract the compressible pressure fluctuation component, which is propagated along the pipe, from the flow field, and it is based on the wall pressure on the upstream and downstream pipe from the curved pipe. It is shown that the plane wave and the 1st mode component in radial direction are dominant along the downstream direction, and the overall acoustic power was reduced by 3 dB through the curved pipe. From these results, the noise reduction effect caused by curved pipe is confirmed.

Numerical Study on the Leakage Safety of O-rings for a LPG Cylinder Valve (LPG 용기 밸브용 O-링의 누설안전성에 관한 해석적 연구)

  • This paper presents the leakage safety of two O-rings, which are located at the rectangular groove between a valve body and a valve stem. The leakage safety analysis of 0-ring seals has been computed as functions of a compression set and a liquefied petroleum gas pressure of a LPG cylinder using a FEM program, MARC. The FEM computed results indicate that the loads from the filling pressure of $8kg/cm^2$ to the upper limit of the safety valve, $24.8kg/cm^2$ work safely according to the pressure vessel code. But two O-rings should consider the aging effects for an increased safety of the o-ring.

  • The pressure regulator has been developed as a pressure-control device of propellant tank in KSR-III. The pressurization system of KSR-III is a basic pressurization system composed of pressurant, He tank and propellant tank. The pressure-control regulator is the most important part of gas-pressurized feed system along with He tank, pyrovalve and He fill valve. The first model of the regulator is tested to satisfy in leakage, strength and basic performance. The second model is tested in the overall test of the KSR-III propulsion system using water. From the test result of the second model, we conclude that the capacity of valve(Cv) must be increased in real system. The third model is modified and tested in the overall test of KSR-III propulsion system using propellant. Finally, the pressure-control regulator is qualified from firing test.

압력제어솔레노이드밸브를 이용한 직접구동 방식의 유압회로에 의한 자동변속기의 변속품질 향상에 관한 연구

  • This paper suggests new hydraulic circuit to control the pressure of clutches and brakes which has several advantages than conventional hydraulic circuit in automatic transmissions. In conventional hydraulic circuit, the pressures of all friction elements are controlled by only one pressure control valve and accumlators. So, controllable range is limited and it is unable to control the friction elements independently. Therefore, we can not do the fine control of timing between apply clutch and release clutch which is needed in clutch-to clutch shifting automatic transmissions. To overcome these faults, we designed the direct-acting hydraulic circuit where one pressure control valve and pressure control solenoid valve are allocated to each friction element and control that independently. Through this structural improvement of hydraulic circuit, we can achieve elaborate aontrol to clutch pressure. Specially, We can control the timing between apply clutch and release clutch delicately which is needed in clutch-to-clutch shifting.

  • This paper suggests direct-acting hydraulic circuit to control clutches and brakes in automatic transmission. As only one pressure control valve controls the pressure of several friction elements with accumulators in conventional hydraulic circuit, the controllable range is limited. In addition, it is difficult to control the fine timing between apply clutch and release clutch. So, we designed new method to control the pressure of clutch which uses ressure control valve and pressure control solenoid valve independently in each friction element. through this structure improvement of hydraulic circuit, we can control the pressure of clutches and brakes finely and fine timing of between apply clutch and release clutch.
