  • 화석연료를 대체하기 위한 에너지원으로서 수소에너지에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 수전해는 무한 청정한 물을 전기분해하여 수소를 생산하는 기술로써 대표적으로 알칼리 수전해(alkaline water electrolysis, AWE)와 고분자 전해질막 수전해(polymer electrolyte membrane water electrolysis, PEMWE)가 있다. 그 중, AWE는 알칼리 분위기에서 물분해 반응이 진행되어 촉매의 부식 위험성이 비교적 낮기 때문에 상대적으로 저렴한 비귀금속 산화물 촉매를 사용할 수 있다는 장점이 있다. 본 연구에서는 비귀금속인 Cu, Co를 이용하여 $CuCoO_4$를 합성한 후 산소 발생 촉매 물질로 활용하여 산소 발생 반응(Oxygen Evolution Reaction, OER)특성을 고찰하였다.

Strength Property of Concrete Mixed Blast Furnace Slag Using Electrolysis Alkaline Aqueous as Mixed Water (전기분해 알칼리수를 배합수로 활용한 고로슬래그 혼입 콘크리트의 강도 특성)

  • In this study, a concrete was prepared using an alkaline aqueous solution produced by electrolyzing potassium carbonate in order to improve the low initial strength of concrete using blast furnace slag. In order to confirm the increase in initial strength, the compressive strength of specimens was measured on the age of 7, 28 days. As a result, the blast furnace slag concrete using the electrolysis alkaline aqueous solution as the mixed water show high strength more than the blast furnace slag concrete using the general mixed water.

  • 폴리아크릴로니트릴을 NaOH로 가수분해시키면 carboxylate anion과 carboxanlide기가 생성되며, 물을 흡수할 경우 sodium carboxylate기의 해리로 팽윤이 크게 일어나므로 고흡수성을 지니게 된다. 일찍이 flory[1]는 가교된 고분자 전해질이 고흡수성을 나타내는 겔을 형성할 것으로 예측한 바 있다. 이 가교 결합이 아크릴 섬유의 부분 가수분해에 대한 자료는 새로운 기능을 부여하면서 섬유의 물성을 어느 정도 유지하는데 요구되는 조건을 제시하게되므로 향후 아크릴 섬유의 개질에 활용될 수 있다. Selective Removal of Protease from Soybean Cell Wall Degrading Enzyme Complex Isolated from Aspergillus niger CF-34 (Aspergillus niger CF-34로부터 분리한 대두세포벽분해효소 복합체 중의 Protease의 선택적인 제거)

  • By exposing the complex enzyme solution to alkaline condition, it was possible to remove the protease activity selectively without inactivation of soybean cell wall degrading activity of the crude enzyme complex produced by Aspergillus niger CF-34. Optimum reaction conditions were as follow. pH was $9.0{\pm}0.1$, temperature was $20^{\circ}C$ and reaction time was 30 min with gentle stirring. Over 90% of protease activity could be eliminated while the activities of pectinase, polygalacturonase, xylanase, carboxymethyl cellulase and soybean cell wall degrading enzyme were maintained to $80{\sim}100%$. Through alkali treatment, it was discovered that the quality and organoleptic properties of soy protein produced by this enzymes were improved because the hydrolysis of protein and formation of bitter peptide were decreased.

Effects of Alkali-protease Treatments on Acidity, Viscosity and Color of Anchovy Extracts (알칼리 및 효소처리가 멸치추출액의 산도, 점도 및 색에 미치는 영향)

  • The physicochemical properties of viscosity, color, acidity and volume of anchovy extract were measured for their changes during extraction with alkali solution and/or proteolytic enzymes. The dried anchovies were ground in 0.3N NaOH solution followed by hydrolysis with neutral or alkaline protease and centrifuged to obtain anchovy extract. The results showed that the volume of supernatant after centrifugation increased from 70% of water only extraction to 89% by combined alkali-enzyme treatment. Titratable acidity of the extract showed a tendency of a little increase while viscosiy decreased with prolonged enzymic hydrolysis. Changes in Hunter value of 'L', 'a', 'b' showed that the extract became darker and less yellowish as protease treatment prolonged.

Water Leaching of Tungsten and Vanadium through Mechanochemical Reaction of Their Oxides and Alkali-Compounds (알칼리화합물과 텅스텐/바나듐산화물의 기계화학반응을 이용한 수 침출 연구)

  • Water leaching of tungsten(W) and vanadium(V) was researched from their oxides through mechanochemical (MC) reaction with alkali compounds. Intensive grinding for the mixture of tungsten/vanadium oxide and alkali compounds (NaOH, $Na2CO_3$) was carried out with change of their mixing ratios and grinding duration. Water soluble compounds, $Na_2WO_4$ and $NaVO_3$, were synthesized through MC reaction and their solubilities increased in proportion to the mixing ratio of sodium compound and grinding times. Whereas vanadium leachability was less affected by the mixting ratio and grinding times. The leachabilities of 99.0% were accomplished by a short period of MC treatment, W (30 min.) and V (5 min.). This process enable us to extract W and V from their oxides via a water leaching, and can be applied to the selective recovery of W and V from $DeNO_x$ spent catalysts.

Chemical Composition and Alkaline Pulping of a Stem of Red Pepper (Capsium annuum L.) (고추 줄기의 화학 조성분 및 알칼리 펄프화)

  • Chemical compositions and chemical structure of lignin and alkali cooking condition and fiber length of red pepper were investigated and compared to those of woods. The chemical compositions of red pepper were higher component of extraction than that of wood. The contents of carbon and hydrogen of Klason lignin in red pepper were similar to that of pine and birch wood. On the other hand, the contents of oxygen and nitrogen of Klason lignin in the red pepper were higher than that of wood. The result of nitrobenzene oxidation shows that Klason lignin of red pepper was similar to lignin of softwood. The best alkali cooking condition of red pepper was 0.2%-anthraquinone, active alkali of 20% and liquor ratio of 1:7. The fiber length of red pepper was about 0.47 mm. Therefore, the red pepper fiber will be able to use special purpose of short fiber.
