  • Vocational rehabilitation is defined as a process which helps people with disabilities to maintain life of non-disabled people and vocational assessment is a part of it. Traditionally, vocational assessment is performed through using of assessment tools or vocational counseling, but assessment tools are very expensive and we should move to the facilities for the disabled. It is very efficient to apply vocational assessment to people with disabilities using the smart phones which users are expected to surpass ten million in 2011, because it enables them to access anytime and anywhere. In this paper, we design and implement the mobile aptitude test system on android smart phone OS for people with disabilities. We develop the mobile aptitude test system using the Holland Test which is the assessment tool of career guidance and counseling.

RankBoost Algorithm for Personalized Education of Chinese Characters on Smartphone (스마트폰 상에서의 개인화 학습을 위한 랭크부스트 알고리즘)

  • In this paper, we propose a personalized Chinese character education system using RankBoost algorithm on a smartphone. In a typical Chinese character education scenario, a trainee is supplied with a finite number of Chinese characters as an input set in the beginning. And, as the training session repeats, the trainee will notice her/his difficult characters in the set which she/he hardly answers. Those characters reflect their personalized degrees of difficulty. Our proposed system constructs these personalized degrees of difficulty using RankBoost algorithm. In the beginning, the algorithm start with the set of Chinese characters, of which each is associated with the same weight values. As the training sessions are repeated, the algorithm increase the weights of Chinese characters that the trainee mistakes, thereby eventually constructs the personalized difficulty degrees of Chinese characters. The proposed algorithm maximizes the educational effects by having the trainee exposed to difficult characters more than easy ones.

  • The main issues of the researches are monitoring environment such as weather or temperature variation and natural accident, and sensor gateways which have mobile device, applications for mobile health care. In this paper, we propose the SFMS(Smart Factory Management System) that can effectively monitor and manage a green smart factory area based on M2M service and smart phone with android OS platform. The proposed system is performed based on the TinyOS-based IEEE 802.15.4 protocol stack. To validate system functionality, we built sensor network environments where were equipped with four application sensors such as Temp/Hum, PIR, door, and camera sensor. We also built and tested the SFMS system to provide a novel model for event detection systems with smart phone.

  • In this paper, we study the verification techniques for OS integrity that can be more fatal than applications in case of security issues. The dissemination of smartphones is rapidly progressing and there are many similarities of smartphones and PCs in terms of security risks. Recently, in mobile network environment, there is a trend of increasing damages and now, there are active researches on a system that can comprehensively respond to this. As a way to prevent these risks, integrity checking method on operation system is being researched. As most integrity checking algorithms are classified by verification from the levels before booting the OS and at the time of passing on the control to the OS, in which, there are minor differences in the definitions of integrity checking or its methods. In this paper, we suggests the integrity verification technique of OS using a boot loader and a physically independent storing device in the mobile device.

Arduino adventage you can easily create applications hardware, without deep knowledge about the hardware. Configuration of arduino using AVR microcontroller ATmage 168, software to action arduino using arduino program, MATLAB, Processing. Arduino is open source base, you can hardware production directly and using shield additionally, the arduino can be combined. Processing iis open source. You can 2D, 3D, PDF output, using P3D and OpenGL graphics. Also you can check by running a stand-alone application. Through a combination of Arduino, library support, such as sound, video, and computer vision can be expanded, this program is the Android phone and iPhone programming. In this paper, sortware was used for Processing, hardware was used for arduino MegaADK board, After making easy 2axis game, using the software and hardware verification.

  • Recently, the use of mobile devices has increased in order to provide a variety of services, and thus there has been a surge in the number of application malicious attacks on the Android platform. To resolve the problem, the domestic financial sector has been introducing the app anti-tamper solution based on cryptographic algorithms. However, since the capacity of apps installed in smartphones continues to increase and environments with limited resources as wearables and IoTs spread, there are limitations to the processing speed of the anti-tamper solutions. In this paper, we propose a novel anti-tamper solution by using lightweight hash function LEA and LSH. We also present the test results of a simulation program that implements this method and compare the performance with anti-tamper solutions based on the previous cryptographic algorithms.

  • PUSH technology is a technology that can transfer server information without user's request and it is very useful in various areas along with mobile applications. This paper suggest a suitable application model that can utilizes the PUSH technology and mobile devices by finding a useful area. For this, AdMan, a mobile application which can utilize the PUSH technology and mobile devices has been developed. AdMan is a mobile application that developed once and can be able to run on both Android and iOS based mobile devices, since it was developed by using a tool called m-Bizmaker. AdMan is a customer management and advertisement system that can bring big efficiency by utilizing the PUSH technology and mobile application under the today's mobile environment, and it is a good model of ICT technology application of modern society. As an application that can maximize the utilization of the PUSH technology and mobile devices, AdMan can realize better effectiveness if it run on a PUSH server.

  • In recent years the combination of IT and BT for U-Healthcare Medical Services has attracted popular attention as an alternative for solving health problems due to aging issue. Active oxygen as free radicals causes unstable state of the body resulting to other disease on which approximate 90% of the diseases are associated with active oxygen. The severity is even higher along with increasing age. Therefore, there is a need for systematic management of active oxygen saturation for the elderly and chronic patients. In this paper, the data about active oxygen measurements from the body measurement is sent to the data storage of medical facilities by the service provider. Medical information is measured by devices provided complying with the standard, support and information using Bluetooth communication. Users can check their health status themselves using the proposed system through 3G/4G mobile devices like smart phone to medical institutions in which the smart phone act as a gateway for medical data transferred from patient to medical institutions and vice versa. Users can get and experience a diagnosis and effective U-Environmental Health Services from Medical institutions anywhere using the proposed built system.

Development of the Dripping Speed Measurement System of Medical Liquid using Heuristic (휴리스틱을 이용한 의료 수액 낙하 속도 측정 시스템 개발)

  • This paper describes the medical and IT convergence system using a smart phone and a heuristic method for the measurement of the dripping speed of the liquid in a drip chamber, which can estimate the remaining time using pattern recognition and difference image from video frame information based on Android technology. The video frames were first made using a smartphone camera and we calculated the difference image between the n image and the (n-1) image and then changed into binary images using the threshold value. At this point, it is very important to find an optimal threshold value using heuristic method to recognize the dripping of the liquids. In addition, the user can adjust the dripping speed according to the doctor's prescription, exactly like watching the progress bar of a mobile application. The experiment results show that our method using video processing technique accurately measures the dripping speed for a wide range of speeds that are sufficient for ordinary practice.

  • Smart Phone market consists of several platforms such as Windows Phone, Apple iOS and Android of Google. Each platform uses different coding style respectively. Platform-dependent application results in high cost and low code reusability during development of application. It also provides heterogeneous display forms to users. In this paper, we propose a platform-independent generic interface model that could be operated in both the various smart phones and PC. Because the proposed model provides the same UI on multiple platforms, users can operate applications without awkwardness. The model includes a module which copes with the changes of the resolutions in various platforms and a module which switches scenes of each application for performance improvement. Moreover, a module which connects DB is also proposed in order to overcome the difference of way to store data in each platform. The implementation results show that the difference of display and operating manner in any hetero-platform is eliminated.
