Integrated Approach for Rehabilitating the Hydrologic Cycle in the Anyangcheon Watershed(II): Prefeasibility Study (안양천 유역의 물순환 건전화를 위한 통합관리방안(II): 예비 타당성 계획)

  • 근래 들어 도시화로 인한 물순환 파괴를 근본적으로 연구하고 이를 정상화하기 위한 체계적이고 통합적인 유역관리 기술이 요구되고 있다. 유역통합관리의 이론을 실제로 적용한 계획을 세우기 위해서는 Heathcote(1998)가 제안한 다음과 같은 단계별 절차를 수행하는 것이 바람직하다. 단계별 절차는 (1) 대상유역에 대한 정보수집, (2) 문제점 도출, (3) 분명한 목적 수립, (4) 대안의 구성, (5) 대안의 검토, (6) 대안의 효과분석, (7) 최종계획 수립으로 이루어져 있으며 본 연구에서는 3단계의 과정에 해당된다. Heathcote(1998)는 대안의 선정과 평가를 위한 방법으로 단순평가방법(simple assessment method)과 세부평가방법(detailed assessment method)으로 구분하였는데 본 연구에서 수행한 내용은 단순평가방법에 해당된다. 본 연구는 안양천 유역에서 물순환 건전화의 핵심을 건천화 방지로 판단하고 이를 위한 대안을 크게 지표수, 지하수, 대체수자원 분야로 구분하여 제시하였다. 지표수 분야의 경우 구조적인 대안으로 소규모 저수지의 개발, 타유역에서의 도수, 보를 이용한 수량 확보, 우오수분리벽을 이용한 상류유출수의 확보, 저협수로 형성, 하천바닥에 차집관로 매설 방지 및 차집관로 유지관리 등이 있으며 비구조적인 대안으로는 기존 저수지의 유지용수 공급을 위한 운영, 유수지의 다목적 활용, 하천수 직접취수 제한 등이 있다. 지하수 분야의 대안으로는 지하철 용출수의 재이용, 지하수의 과다이용 제한, 침투증진시설의 설치 등이 있으며 대체수자원 분야의 대안으로는 하수처리수를 고도처리하여 유지용수로 재이용하는 것, 중소규모 하수처리장의 상류 설치, 대규모 사업장의 폐수를 고도처리하여 활용하는 것, 상수도의 이용 등이 있다. 이러한 여러 가지 대안들은 Walesh(1989)가 제안한 절차에 따라 기술가능성(technical feasibility), 경제성(economical efficiency), 환경성(environmental feasibility) 등을 정성적으로(qualitatively) 파악하여 실현가능한 대안을 선정하였다. 이렇게 선정된 대안들은 중유역별로 검토하여 효과가 있을 것으로 판단되는 대안들을 제시하는 예비타당성(Prefeasibility) 계획을 수립하였다. 이렇게 제시된 계획은 향후 과학적인 분석(세부평가방법)을 통해 대안을 평가하고 구체적인 타당성(feasibility) 계획을 수립하는데 토대가 될 것이다.

Young-Jung Kim's Presupposition Logic Program (김영정 교수의 선제논리 프로그램)

  • After the unexpected death of the late professor Young-Jung Kim on July 28th last year, 4 pieces of paper unpublished were discovered. Those papers reveal that he had a grand program. In particular, we found that he had his own ideas and theory which he called "Presupposition Logic" and "Field Logic". In this paper, I will call his program "Presupposition Logic Program". He explored a new logic system, Presupposition Logic, in order to realize necessity and possibility of the closer relationship between logic and critical thinking. In this paper, I will expound what his "presupposition" and "Presupposition Logic" are and why he thought Presupposition Logic is necessary from a perspective of logic. And I will critically elucidate what was the problem that troubled him.

  • IT Technology Paradigm Sift from hardware, software, networking to digital contents. In year 2001, IT small and medium size manufacture occupied 3.8% of gross domestic product(GDP). In the mean time, owing to the acceleration of global competition in information and communication technology, life cycle is reduced and global M&A is increased. The aim of this research is to analyze the performance of potential small and medium sized IT enterprise which can be adapt the change of new paradigm. and Also to work out a program of government's supports plan. Finally, It is to study a better plan that promote a new shape enterprise, which aimed to reform the industrial system. Some kinds of investigation, namely, ground investigation as well as questionnaire are performed in order to analyze not only the results of potential small and medium sized IT enterprise but also it's promoting plans.

Numerical Investigation of Forward Flight Characteristics of Multi-Ducted Fan (다중 덕트 팬 전진 비행 특성에 대한 수치적 연구)

  • Increasing cruise speed is an important issue for the development of the next generation rotorcraft. Among several concepts proposed by previous research, the rotorcraft with ducted fan demonstrates its possibility of high-speed flight. In this study, numerical simulations are conducted to investigate the aerodynamic and flow characteristics of multi-ducted fan in forward flight. The aerodynamic efficiency around front ducted fan is determined by interaction between free-stream velocity and the induced velocity. While flow characteristics of rear ducted fan are dominantly influenced by the front ducted fan. Separation in the front ducted fan occurs faster than that of rear ducted fan, and the separation at duct inlet induces an increase of fan thrust. As a result of interaction effect between each ducted fan, relatively aligned inflow enters to the rear ducted fan. Therefore, thrust of the rear fan is decreased steadily before separation, and sudden changes of thrust in fans occur simultaneously. Due to the pressure decrease on lower surface, the normal force of rotorcraft is reduced with forward speed.

An usefulness study on estimation and control method of EGR ratio using intake manifold pressure in an gasoline engine (가솔린엔진에서 흡기관 압력을 이용한 EGR율의 추정 및 제어 방법에 관한 유용성 연구)

  • The EGR system being reburned the part of the exhaust gas through intake system indicates more favorable emission characteristics to reduce NOx in a gasoline engine, but the case of inappropriate exhaust gas quantity induced from engine is fallen engine power caused by unstable combustion. In this study, we examined a method to predict EGR ratio according to various engine operation condition based by intake manifold pressure and confirmed such a prediction data through an experimental method. And after having constituted feedback EGR control algorithm in a base with such a prediction data, we acquired qualitatively similar results by having compared data provided through an EGR feedback control experiment with the data which calculated quantity of residual gas for the engine operation condition. Therefore, the applied algorithm and the system for feedback EGR control showed feasibility applied to real electronic control EGR technology.

  • In Korea, the effective utilization of wod structure is encour aged to preserve natural resources and the global environment.ote demand for wod. The efective combination of structural la minated timber and other materials is expected to extend the potential of building structures. This research examines the moment resis tance-type jointing method using structural laminated timber and H-section stel aiming at development of the two-direction frame for lar ge 9 mm and 12 mm) of the H section. Therefore, we conducted the experiment with bending test of the joints to investigate the s tifnes, strength, strain distributions of laminated timber an d of the flange of the H section, and failure paterns. As shown in the results, t he joints with a flange thicknes of 9 mm and 12 m have superi or strength with a flange thicknes of 9 mm and 12 mm were very large, whic h confirmed the high level of energy absorption of such structure s.

  • 최근 이동통신기술이 급속히 발달함에 따라 국내는 물론 전세계 이동통신업계는 제 3세대 이동통신서비스의 성공여부에 많은 관심을 쏟고 있다. 지금까지의 이동통신산업의 성장이 빠른 기술개발에 의존한 기술추동적(technology-push) 성격을 지녔다면, 이동통신시장이 포화상태에 근접하고 있는 최근에는 서비스 및 장비 양면에서의 경쟁이 치열해 짐으로써 소비자의 기술에 대한 선택이 더욱 중요해짐에 따라 수요견인적(demand-pull) 기술혁신이 예상된다. 따라서, 이동통신서비스의 확대에 따른 특정기술에 대한 소비자의 선호에 대한 올바른 판단이 향후 산업의 기술진화방향을 예측하는데 핵심적인 역할을 할 것으로 생각된다. 현재 이동통신기술의 진보의 키워드는 '멀티미디어화'이다 향후 VOD (Video On Demand) 등 비디오 스트리밍(video streaming) 기술을 이용한 동영상 서비스, 화상전화, 타 디지털기기(예를 들어 PDA, 디지털 카메라 등)와의 융합 등의 서비스가 본격화되고 차세대 이동통신망의 구축이 가시화됨에 따라 이동통신의 멀티미디어 기능은 더욱 주목받게 될 것이다. 따라서 이동전화 단말기 창의 컬러화는 이러한 이동통신기술의 새로운 패러다임을 떠받치고 있는 가장 중요한 이정표로서의 의미를 지니고 있다. 본 연구에서는 표시1창의 컬러화로 실현되는 기술혁신요소에 대해서 소비자가 부여하는 가치를 분석하고자 한다. 하지만, 컬러 단말기의 보급이 초기단계에 머무르고 있는 연구시점의 특성상 현시자료가 가용하지 않았기 때문에, 소비자에게 가상의 품질특성을 지닌 제품 조합을 제시하고 이에 대해 소비자가 순위를 매기게 함으로써 소비자의 선호를 측정하는 컨조인트(conjoint) 방법론을 사용하였으며, 소비자의 진술선호(stated preference)에 기초하여 이동통신단말기의 개별 특성에 대한 부분가치와 보상잉여를 측정하였다. 또한, 이를 통해 창의 컬러화로 인해 기대되는 초과이윤의 가능성 등 경제적인 효과들을 정량적으로 분석하고, 브랜드 가치 등 기존의 단말기 경쟁력 요소들과의 비교를 통하여 컬러화가 가져다 줄 경쟁요소들을 추정함으로서, 기술확산 메커니즘을 확인하고자 한다.

Precipitation Information Retrieval Method Using Automotive Radar Data (차량레이더 자료 기반 강수정보 추정 기법)

  • Automotive radar that is one of the most important equipment in high-tech vehicles, is commonly used to detect the speed and range of objects such as cars. In this paper, in addition to objects detection, a method of retrieving precipitation information using the automotive radar data is proposed. The proposed method is based on the fact that the degree of attenuation of the returned radar signal differs depending on the precipitation intensity and the assumption that the distribution of precipitation is constant in short spatial and temporal observation. The purpose of this paper is to assesses the possibility of retrieving precipitation information using a vehicle radar. To verify the feasibility of the proposed method during actual driving, a method of estimating precipitation information for each time segment of various precipitation events was applied. From the results of driving field experiments, it was found that the proposed method is suitable for estimating precipitation information in various rainfall types.

Development of a Combustor in Portable Pellet Stoves Using Wood Pellets to Improve Combustion Efficiency and to Reduce Carbon Monoxide (CO) Emission (목재 펠릿(pellet)을 활용하는 휴대용 펠릿 난로의 연소 효율 향상과 일산화탄소(CO) 배출 저감을 위한 연소기 개발)

  • Pellets are manufactured using wood by-products. The combustion efficiency of pellets depends on the pellet manufacturing process, the types of materials mixed while manufacturing and the wood pellet stoves themselves. In this study, we developed a multi-layer combustor to be used in a wood pellet stove, for the purpose of reducing environmental pollution and energy waste due to incomplete combustion. The multi-layer combustor was designed to compensate for the shortcomings of existing combustors. A CAD (Computer Aided Design) model was verified using a 3D printer and a prototype was developed. The combustion experiments were conducted on commercial and proposed combustors using pellets of the same brand, manufacturing date, place and specifications. From the experiments, it was found that the proposed combustor produced the lowest carbon monoxide (CO) emission and highest thermal efficiency.

  • Does CAD technology have a possibility to promote new logics of design thinking and form-creation? Starting with such a question, this study inquires into soical constructions of linear perspective and CAD programs. Using a concept of the modelling interface as an analytical frame, this study discusses; 1) a historical process in which the linear perspective, as a drawing-oriented modelling interface, had permeated its geometrical principles into the artificial environment and justified them in a dimension of the aesthetic discourse, 2) technological contexts in which computer-based modelling interfaces such CAD programs were developed and separated from the tradition of the linear perspective, with the introduction of new kinds of modelling algorithms and graphic user interfaces.
