  • Our current society is experiencing a mass upheaval through globalization: mobility, hybridity, and cultural diversity are part of this world phenomenon. We can say that these changes are a result of people crossing borders due to international travel, immigration, emigration, studying abroad, labor, international marriages, fast and comfortable transportation, and the Internet. According to 2018 UNPD(Untied Nations Population Division)'s data, the international migrants have exceeded 258 million as of 2017. The increased number of migrants signifies that people with various backgrounds move from their own culture to a drastically different one. Interacting with different cultures can give people the chance to experience abundant lifestyles and improve life qualities. During that process, however, the differences between cultures can cause not only misunderstandings, conflicts, and violent collisions, but also xenophobia or radical nationalism. The current society is confronted with a problem: the people cannot stubbornly cling to a homogenous ethnicity anymore, which makes the coexistence between the citizens and immigrants necessary. Through these circumstances, I aim to suggest an educational model and a practical curriculum from a Christian perspective as the aim of this study. It seeks to encourage Christians to flexibly respond to these conflicts and collisions, and to fulfill their social responsibilities faithfully. For this reason, I will explore and seek sharing practical values through both shalom's communality as a theological approach and postconventionality in mature adults as a social-scientific approach. Consequently, I have few requests for the readers. First, approach with openness, understanding, and respect for other culture. Second, see this study as one step of confronting the global problem for coexistence and coprosperity of all social agents in the earth, a limited space. Third, notice that this study uses the interdisciplinary approach (theological and social scientific view) for a shareable, practical value that consistently leads the curriculum of my thesis, and a scientific method to eliminate bias. Lastly, understand that this study will eventually be used in educational practice, and as a result it prioritizes giving thought to the Christian educational environment. This study begins by exploring the conflicts and collisions between diverse cultures of our current society in international and national cases. Afterwards, I will reflect on how we can manage these conflicts and collisions by exploring the social-scientific view, postconventionality in mature adults, the theological view, and shalom's communality as a complement for the postconventionality's personal dimension. In conclusion, I suggest a curriculum that achieves peace as a practical value based on postventionality and shalom's communality for this study's goal.

  • This study attempts to suggest the direction of Christian education for young children by analyzing concepts related to how they understand the faith. For this purpose, this researcher conducted interviews of seventeen young children who had not yet entered elementary school. Answers to ten interview questions were analyzed and research participants' understandings of belief and church were identified. The results have shown that participants consider faith to be religious practices such as prayer, praise and worship, the practice of good conduct, the key to heaven and providing direction and mission for their lives. Participants also revealed the acquisition and internalization of biblical knowledge and theological terms and listed parents, ministers or friends as the important role models of faith. They recognized the church as a place where religious practices are performed, where spiritual joy is felt and where pleasure is experienced because they do things they like. It is expected that these results would be used as the basis for future research regarding young children's faith and as the principles of the practice of it.

  • This paper is a thesis that explored the necessity and possibility of spiritual teaching that forms the inner side of human beings in the age of AI where objective knowledge is prevalent, focusing on "contemplative pedagogy". For this it first examined the characteristics of objective epistemology of AI and the direction of school education in the AI and explored the necessity and character of spirituality and spiritual teaching as a request for the AI era, and also explores the possibility of realization of spiritual teaching in general school setting through contemplative pedagogy, which actually puts this into practice. As a result of the study, it found that spiritual teaching is not exclusive to a specific area such as religious studies or theology, but is a teaching that should be embodied in all schools and educational fields in today's era where third person knowledge is widespread. It also found that in addition to contemplative teaching, various spiritual teaching models need to be developed and put into practice for this purpose.

  • The purpose of this research is to analyze the psychological dynamics of the characters in the novel 'vegetarian' of the Han Gang and the relationship patterns in the system by applying object relation theory. 'Vegetarianism' has already been analyzed and reinterpreted in various angles, but if you look at it from the object relationship theory and the systematic perspective, you can understand the inevitable history of the generation through psychological analysis and relation dynamics of the person. First, we will analyze the psychological dynamics of the characters by analyzing the meanings and exploring the meaning with the object relation theory and concept. The psychological analysis and the search process of the characters based on the theory are enough evidence for the counselor to reinterpret the life story of the client in the future clinical scene. In addition, in order to realize ethical but practical clinical education, the field of clinical practice will be extended when analyzing the characters using art. It is suggested that the meaning search through various character analysis needs to be accumulated culturally.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the characteristics of the Reformation Calvin undertook in Geneva and see what efficient functions Christianity can afford to reveal its value in urban settings today. Calvin's Reformation provided a clear place and role for the Church in the public domain. In addition, Calvin's process of religious reform has always been followed by interest and welfare practices for the socially disadvantaged, such as the poor and women. In this understanding, the study presented the following applications that modern churches can practice in urban settings today: First, the church should be able to clearly understand the diversity, liquidity, and dynamics of the urban environment and make changes through various situational applications supported by the Bible. Second, the church's missional approach should shift from a believing-belonging process to a sense of belonging-believing. Third, the transition from a familiar traditional church to a new social reality is necessary, and efforts are needed to clearly understand the interests and atmosphere of community communities and keep pace with them. And finally, modern churches need to maintain new ecological sensitivity than ever before.

  • Many people are suffering from the economic crisis and poverty that are deepening due to the recent spread of the COVID-19 epidemic. In this situation, this study focuses on the biblical Jubilee in order to seek how "Jubilee justice" can be realized in the modern context. The Law of Jubilee consists of four contents: the liberation of slaves, debt remission, land return and fallow. Ultimately it aims to prevent human slavery and preserve equality. Nevertheless, the thought of Jubilee has been distorted theologically and situationally, and as a result, it has been overlooked in the field of Christian education, and there is a limit in Christian practice for social justice. The thought of Jubilee, however, can be an alternative to overcome various problems of modern society such as the issue of the privatization of Christianity or the deepening of polarization caused by neoliberal globalization and can contribute positively to the practice of social justice. In other words, the thought of Jubilee can act as a biblical initiative in reforming wrong laws and establishing institutions for the poor on the institutional level; on the personal level, it can be a great motive in terms of the change of perception and the practice of the sharing economy. Jubilee education, which aims for Jubilee justice, helps to break the misconceptions and change the existing meaning perspectives on the basis of various interdisciplinary knowledge and supports social behavior for transforming social structure through activation of public opinion and fund raising at the practical level. Therefore, the learners of Christian education can play a public role in transforming the unjust society.

  • In order to meet the needs of the liturgical reform implemented by the Second Vatican Council, existing churches have been reordered and guidlines drawn for new buildings. With this reordering, perhaps the most perplexing issues facing priest and architect alike are the question of reservation and placement of the tabernacle. While in several documents including the documents of the Second Vatican Council, the church has made statement concerning this problem, not much has been stated definitely, And there are many different and. ambiguous things in the interpretation of liturgists and Episcopal Conferences. I examined and compared the issues which has been raised this while based on the Vatican Documents. The findings may be summarised as follows : (1) As the history of church architecture has seen great variety and innovation in solving the needs of the day, the church gives certain guidelines, but also allow great flexibility. (2) To achive good result, the priests and architects should work together in a language the other will understand. So theological interpretations on church architecture may be very useful. (3) The seperate eucharistic chapel which is near the santuary will be recommended as a location which accounts for both the communal and individual aspects of eucaristic adoration.

  • This study was conducted to pursue Christian education with the socially underprivileged in the era of the Corona-19 pandemic. Corona-19 is a disaster which is caused, destroyed and exploited by human being. At the time of the indiscriminately spreading global pendemic, we must work together to overcome our selfish self-centeredness and make an attempt for everyone in need. It is a study on how humans can help each other survive in the era of Corona-19 and its post-corona. The problem is that there is too much discrimination between the state, race, and economic capacity, and in the end, the extreme discrimination of capitalism is appeared in society and across the country. There is no significant difference in the confirmation rate when Corona-19 infiltrates, but there is a big difference between those with and less in mortality. As a result, today's reality is that people who have a hard time living because they have less usually are far more vulnerable to blocking and defeating virus attacks. Unfortunately, this is the current situation. From the standpoint of a large discourse, attention is paid to climate change and ecological environment, and as a micro discourse, a number of societies who live with tremendous discrimination according to the gap between the rich and the poor (it is gender, race, disabled, nationality) that exist in almost all countries on the planet. We need attention to the weak. To this end, discourses on vaccine inequality, discourses on the needs of the disabled, discourses on different racial damages, discourses on polarization and dystopia, and discourses on educational inequality were treated as the reality faced by the socially underprivileged in the Corona 19 pandemic. To explore Christian education with the socially underprivileged, to explore ways of sharing, giving, and solidarity for win-win, discourse on inter-dependence and mutual responsibility of mankind, direct counter-measures for the socially underprivileged, and critical literacy education. He proposed a discourse on Korea, a discourse on Homo sapiens, which must return to being a part of creation, and finally a theology of friendship with the weak. Christian education based on Bible words must go forward in the era of the Corona 19 pandemic, hungry, naked, nowhere to go, sick, but dying because of being unable to get a remedy. He emphasized the need to establish a caring theology of friendship and pursue a life in which thought and practice harmonize. Thus, the paper proposed the spirit of Christian education not only doing something for the socially weak, but with the socially weak in the daily life.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the trends of Christian education research during the COVID-19 period. To this end, 172 theses published in the "Journal of Christian Education" and "Korea Society for Christian Education & Information Technology" pub-lished between March 2020 and June 2022 were analyzed according to the subfields and research methods of Christian education. As a result of the analysis, 38.5% of the total papers belonged to theories of Christian education. Papers related to practice of Christian education was 61.5%. Looking more closely at Christian education practice, papers related to classification by 'developmental stage' accounted for 25%, 'education field' accounted for 55.2%, 'function' accounted for 40.7% of the total papers. Regarding the classification of research methods, literature research accounted for 62.7% of the total studies, survey research methods accounted for 21.5%. Based on this, the main conclusions found in this study are as follows. First, the problems caused by the emergence and spread of the coronavirus began to be reflected in Christian education studies. Second, it was confirmed that the research method of Christian education, which had been biased toward liter-ature research, was recently converted from theory-centered to an attempt to balance theory and practice, and as convergence research increased, research topics and re-search methods were diversifying. Third, it was confirmed the need for category stand-ards that can analyze and classify studies in order to identify trends in Christian education research. Lastly, when considering all the papers, there are not many papers that fall under the classification by characteristics.
