An Implementation of SoC FPGA-based Real-time Object Recognition and Tracking System (SoC FPGA 기반 실시간 객체 인식 및 추적 시스템 구현)

  • Recent some SoC FPGA Releases that integrate ARM processor and FPGA fabric show better performance compared to the ASIC SoC used in typical embedded image processing system. In this study, using the above advantages, we implement a SoC FPGA-based Real-Time Object Recognition and Tracking System. In our system, the video input and output, image preprocessing process, and background subtraction processing were implemented in FPGA logics. And the object recognition and tracking processes were implemented in ARM processor-based programs. Our system provides the processing performance of 5.3 fps for the SVGA video input. This is about 79 times faster processing power than software approach based on the Nios II Soft-core processor, and about 4 times faster than approach based the HPS processor. Consequently, if the object recognition and tracking system takes a design structure combined with the FPGA logic and HPS processor-based processes of recent SoC FPGA Releases, then the real-time processing is possible because the processing speed is improved than the system that be handled only by the software approach.

  • In this paper, we propose a scenario representing method, a specification language, and a verification technique for OARTS(Object based Approach for Real-Time Systems). As well as the general modeling method(event trace diagram), this study includes a specification language and a verification technique because there was no study about methodological level technique for scenario development as yet. Centering around the synchronization problem of transition of external modules which are the communication interfaces based on the objects, we lay stress on the representation of sequence of external events and internal action transitions. From the results of practical experiences, it has been ascertained that the proposed method reflect well the requirements in the analysis step, and its validity of the representation has been identified by a conceptual verifier. We support that it can serve as an analyzing tool for representing a general real-time scenarios also.

  • 일반적으로 물류센터에서는 많은 작업이 발생하고, 처리되는 물품 또한 그 수량이 매우 많아서 작업 제품 정보들을 빠르고 정확하게 처리하기 위해서는 많은 비용이 발생한다. 이러한 오류를 줄이고, 실시간 정보처리, 객체의 가시성 확보, 제품 이력 추적 등의 이점을 얻기 위해 RFID 기술을 도입하는 기업들이 증가하는 추세이며, 최근에는 RFID를 활용하여 전 세계적으로 표준화된 단일 네트워크를 만들고자 하는 EPC Global Network에 대한 필요성이 증가하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 EPC Global Network의 게이트웨이 역할을 하는 EPCIS에서, 정보의 저장소 역할을 하는 EPCIS Repository의 최적화에 대해 연구한다. 실제 물류 센터에서 발생하는 비즈니스 프로세스를 바탕으로 시나리오를 작성하고, 물류센터의 시나리오에 따라 발생되는 EPC 데이터를 DRDBMS와 MMDBMS를 통해 각각 저장하고 검색하여 두 DBMS의 성능을 비교하였다. DRDBMS는 MS-SQL을 사용하였고, MMDBMS는 ALTIBASE를 사용하였다. 실험 결과 AlTIBASE가 MS-SQL보다 좋은 성능을 보임을 알 수 있었다.

Object Detection using Multiple Color Normalization and Moving Color Information (다중색상정규화와 움직임 색상정보를 이용한 물체검출)

  • This paper suggests effective object detection system for moving objects with specified color and motion information. The proposed detection system includes the object extraction and definition process which uses MCN(Multiple Color Normalization) and MCWUPC(Moving Color Weighted Unmatched Pixel Count) computation to decide the existence of moving object and object segmentation technique using signature information is used to exactly extract the objects with high probability. Finally, real time detection system is implemented to verify the effectiveness of the technique and experiments show that the success rate of object tracking is more than $89\%$ of total 120 image frames.

  • 본 논문에서는 사람의 개입 없이 실내 환경에서 마스크 미 착용자를 스스로 발견한 후 방역수칙위반 사실에 대한 경고와 함께 마스크 착용을 권고하는 인공지능 기반의 자율주행 서비스 로봇을 개발한다. 제안한 시스템에서 로봇은 동시적 위치 추적 지도 작성 기법인 SLAM(Simultaneous Localization and Mapping)기술을 이용하여 지도를 작성한 후 사용자가 제공한 웨이포인트(Waypoint)를 기반으로 자율주행한다. 또한, YOLO(You Only Look Once) 알고리즘을 이용한 실시간 객체 인식 기술을 활용하여 보행자의 마스크 착용 여부를 판단한다. 실험을 통해 사전에 작성된 지도에 지정된 웨이포인트를 따라 로봇이 자율주행하는 것을 확인하였다. 또한, 충전소로 이동할 경우, 영상 처리 기법을 활용하여 충전소에 부착된 표식에 근접하도록 이동하여 충전이 진행됨을 확인하였다.

  • There has been increased interest for building energy-saving for worldwide. There is continuing research on IT technology for efficient management of BEMS. Recently, It be able to control of LED and to maximize energy savings to the development of LED lighting technology. We propose the security image processing system to improve efficiency and we implement the real-time status monitoring system to surveil the object in the building energy management system. In this paper, we proposed the system of LED control using IP camera and Adaptive Gaussian Mixture Model for BEMS. We implement LED light control software on the based of the security camera image processing so the reliable controling based on the security camera is possible efficiently.

  • s economic development has been achieved and society gets complicated, problems of traffic system have been also exposed. Due to these problems, drivers have to endure economic loss and delayed time. A web-based parking lot management system has been proposed to solve this problem. Because a parking lot is an important resource of traffic system, efficient management of parking lots can be means to solve critical problems of traffic system. In this study a simple method is introduced to detect moving vehicles with geometric information of moving objects that has been computed from surveillance cameras installed in a parking lot. Statistical information processed from image data is also stored on a server side, such as total number of parking lots, a number of parked cars and a number of available parking spots. A client who wants to know the nearest parking place can share the information via a mobile device and shorten his or her driving time. Great benefit to both drivers and society is expected if many parking lots are equipped with this system.

  • In real time rendering of fetus the empty space leaping while traversing a ray is most frequently used accelerating technique. The main idea is to skip empty voxel samples which do not contribute the result image and it speeds up the rendering time by avoiding sampling data while traversing a ray in the empty region, saving a substantial number of interpolations. Calculating the distance from the nearest object boundary for every yokel can reduce the sampling operation. Among widely-well-known distance maps, those estimates the true distance, such as euclidean distance, takes a long time to compute because of the complicated floating-point operations, and others which uses approximated distance functions, such as city-block and chessboard, provides faster computation time but sampling error may can occur. In this paper, therefore, we analyze the characteristics of several distance maps and compare the number of samples and rendering time. And we aim to suggest the most appropriate distance map for rendering of fetus in ultrasound image.

  • In this paper, we propose a sensor data sharing system for the safe and smooth operation of autonomous vehicles on two-way single lanes in traffic-isolated areas and implement the core module, the situational awareness technology. Two-way single lanes pose challenges for autonomous vehicles, particularly when encountering parked vehicles or oncoming traffic, leading to reversing issues. We introduce a system using infrastructure cameras to detect vehicles' approach, enter, and leave on twoway single lanes in real-time, transmitting this information to autonomous vehicles via V2N communication, thereby expanding the sensing range of the autonomous vehicles. The core part of the proposed system is the situational awareness of the two-way single lane using infrastructure cameras. In this paper, we implement this using object detection and tracking technology. Finally, we validate the implemented situational awareness technology using data collected from actual two-way single lanes.

  • 'Gesture' is the most intuitive means of communication except the voice. Therefore, there are many researches for method that controls computer using gesture input to replace the keyboard or mouse. In these researches, the method of user detection and main body parts estimation is one of the very important process. in this paper, we propose user objects detection and main body parts estimation method on inaccurate depth information for pose estimation. we present user detection method using 2D and 3D depth information, so this method robust to changes in lighting and noise and 2D signal processing 1D signals, so mainly suitable for real-time and using the previous object information, so more accurate and robust. Also, we present main body parts estimation method using 2D contour information, 3D depth information, and tracking. The result of an experiment, proposed user detection method is more robust than only using 2D information method and exactly detect object on inaccurate depth information. Also, proposed main body parts estimation method overcome the disadvantage that can't detect main body parts in occlusion area only using 2D contour information and sensitive to changes in illumination or environment using color information.
