Adult polycystic liver disease (PLD) is a rare, benign condition association with autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD). It is an autosomal dominantly inherited disorder characterized by multiple diffuse cystic lesions of the liver parenchyma. Significant symptoms or complications from liver involvement can occur cases. Surgical therapy is the mainstay of therapy including laparoscopic or open fenestration with or without hepatic resection and orthotopic liver transplantation. We report the literature addressing the presence of abdominal discomport, a case of a patient with PLD. This case showed the typical ultrasonogaphic and computer tomogaphic findings of this disease.

An intact female, 5-year-old, Pekingese, weighing 3.5kg with a history of a palpated abdominal mass was referred to Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital, Seoul National University. In laboratory examination, there were no remarkable abnormalities. Radiographic findings included a left mid-abdominal mass with ill-defined margin, serosal detail loss of peritoneal space, non-uniform opacity of retroperitoneal space, and a radiopaque cystic calculus. On abdominal ultrasonography, a heterogeneous parenchymal mass with irregular contour in the left renal region was found. Computed tomographic findings showed a tumor embolus within the caudal vena cava and an invasion into mesentery, small bowel loops, spleen and pancreas around the large left renal mass. Unilateral nephroureterectomy was performed. Histopathologic examination of the resected mass confirmed the diagnosis of renal cell carcinoma. The dog died one day after surgery. Although ultrasonography could give diagnostic information about mass characteristics, computed tomography (CT) can provide key imaging features of mass characteristics.

A case of aspergillosis in 39-day-old layer chickens having a history of gradual emaciation and subsequently death with nervous signs such as torticollis and lack of equilibrium was documented. Based on the results from serology and polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test, this flock was not affected with known viral or bacterial diseases. On postmortem examination of the affected birds, multiple white to yellow nodules measuring 1~5 mm in diameter were observed in the lungs, cerebrum, liver and kidney. Microscopically, these nodules were identified as granulomatous lesions characterized by mixed population of multinucleated giant cells and lymphocytes. By periodic acid-schiff staining and nucleotide sequencing analysis, Aspergillus flavus with characteristic septate and branched hyphae were identified in the granuloma of lung and cerebrum. This case was a chronic and multisystemic aspergillosis specialized to central nervous system caused by Aspergillus flavus infection in the layer flocks.

최근 이랜드그룹이 그룹 내 외식사업체 근로자 4만4천여명에게 83억 7천여만원의 임금을 미지급한 것이 고용노동부 근로감독결과 적발되어 사회적으로 비난의 대상이 되었다는 보도가 있었습니다. 이랜드그룹의 임금체불액을 포함하여 올해 임금체불액은 1조 4천여억원으로 사상 최대 금액에 달한다고 합니다. 임금생활자에 대한 체불은 해고와 더불어 생존권을 위협하는 일임에도 임금체불에 대한 실질적인 법적 제재가 크지 않아서인지 체불액은 줄어들고 있지 않습니다. 근로자들의 권리의식이 신장되고 포털사이트 및 인터넷을 통해 법률정보의 취득이 대중화되고 무료상담 등도 늘어나면서 재직 중에 못 받은 각종 수당 등을 퇴직 후에 청구하는 사례 등도 늘어나고 있습니다. 특히 기간제 근로자 및 단시간 근로자의 연차휴가수당, 주휴수당, 시간외근로수당과 관련하여 중소기업 사업주들이 잘못 알고 있는 경우가 많은데요. 이랜드그룹의 경우도 아르바이트 직원의 연차휴가수당, 시간외수당, 휴업수당 등이 문제가 된 경우입니다. 임금체불이 줄어드는 2017년이 되길 바라면서 이번 호에는 기간제 및 단시간 근로자의 주휴수당, 연차휴가수당, 시간외수당에 대해 알아보고자 합니다.

(사)비즈니스기계·정보시스템 산업협회(JBMIA)에 따르면, 일본 및 세계 경제환경이 실질 GDP 플러스성장이 이어지면서 사무기기의 일본내 출하 금액은 컬러복사기·복합기가 순조롭게 나아가 2006년에 6410억 엔(전년비101.6%), 2007년에 6571억 엔(동 102.5%)의 견조한 신장을 나타낼 것으로 예측된다. 사무기기의 해외 출하금액은 일본과 마찬가지로 컬러복사기·복합기의 호조에 힘입어 2006년에 1조2486억 엔(전년비 103.1%), 2007년에 1조2911억 엔(동 103.4%)으로 예측했다. 이 결과 향후 2년간의 사무기계 총 출하금액은 2006년이 1조8895억엔(전년비 102.6%), 2007년이 1조9482억 엔(동 103.1%)으로 예측되며, 2조엔 규모를 목전에 두고 있다.

결핵은 일차적으로 폐에 주로 발생하지만 혈행성 전파를 통하여 모든 기관에 나타날 수 있으며 면역 억제자의 경우 특히 가능성이 높다. 저자들은 평소 건강했던 속립성 폐결핵 환자에서 간, 비장, 신장, 뇌막 및 뇌실질에 동시에 나타난 다발성 결핵을 보고한다.

Purpose : To evaluate the significance of clinical signs and laboratory findings as predictors of renal parenchymal lesions and vesicoureteral reflux (VUR) in childhood urinary tract infection (UTI). Methods : From July 2005 to July 2008, 180 patients admitted with a first febrile UTI at the Pediatric Department of Konkuk University Hospital were included in this study. The following were the clinical variables: leukocytosis, elevated C-reactive protein (CRP), positive urine nitrite, positive urine culture, and fever duration both before and after treatment. We evaluated the relationships between clinical variables and dimercaptosuccinic acid (DMSA) scan and voiding cystourethrography (VCUG) results. Results : VCUG was performed in 148 patients; of them, 37 (25.0%) had VUR: 18 (12.2%) had low-grade (I-II) VUR, and 19 (10.5%) had high-grade (III-V) VUR. Of the 95 patients who underwent DMSA scanning, 29 (30.5%) had cortical defects, of which 21 (63.6%) had VUR: 10 (30.3%), low-grade (I-II) VUR; and 11 (33.3%), high-grade VUR. Of the 57 patients who were normal on DMSA scan, 8 (14.0%) had low-grade VUR and 6 (10.5%) had high-grade VUR. The sensitivity, specificity, and positive and negative predictive values of the DMSA scan in predicting high-grade VUR were 64.7%, 69.9%, 33.3%, and 89.5%, respectively. Leukocytosis, elevated CRP, and prolonged fever ($36{\geq}$ hours) after treatment were significantly correlated with the cortical defects on DMSA scans and high-grade VUR. Conclusion : Clinical signs, including prolonged fever after treatment, elevated CRP, and leukocytosis, are positive predictors of acute pyelonephritis and high-grade VUR.

In this study, Biodegradable masterbatch (M/B) was prepared by different kinds and content of biodegradable catalysts added to oxo biodegradable plastics. The bio film was prepared by adding biodegradable M/B to the polyethylene pellet, and the change of physical properties by UV and heat treatment and the stability as food packaging material were confirmed. As a result of the physical property change, Fe salt and Al salt bio film was superior to Ni salt bio film about a decrease in physical property. However, considering the raw material cost and industrial availability, M/B containing Fe salt was selected and additional experiments were conducted by concentration. The bio films prepared with Fe salt M/B 1.0, 1.5 and 2.0 wt% showed excellent physical properties.

The purpose of this study was to develop problem-solving inquiries for the science gifted and to analyze the effects of problem-solving inquiries. The problem-solving inquiries were composed of scientific knowledge, scientific inquiry skills and creative thinking. The problem-solving inquiries were applied to the science gifted attending the institute of the gifted education. The test of science-creative problem solving (TSCPS) was used to know effects of improvement of science-creativity and the result of TSCPS showed the improvement of science creativity. The analysis of student-student dialogues during experiments showed that the type of dialogue was different on the type of problem-solving inquiry. The dialogue of convergent thinking was frequently showed up on the problem-solving inquiry needed logical thinking whereas that of divergent thinking on the problem-solving inquiry needed idea generation. The problem-solving inquiries had a positive effects on the improvement of the science-creativity.

The suggestions that follow are about the device to assure the effectiveness of administrational regulation and supervision in Korean private security. First, government clearance should be reinforced. For this it is necessary that the qualification for security dealer-careers and academic backgrounds with security etc.- should be elucidated in Security Law. Also it should be achieved to increase the capital fund and to keep security guards for insuring substitutional manpower. Second, after legal permission governmental supervision should be done in quality by means of setting up the competent institutions independently. Third, the punishment for obtaining security license mendaciously, carrying out illegal or unfair task and assigning Security Guard Supervisors expediently should be strengthened. Also to prevent expedient acts it is necessary to prescribe illegal or unfair acts in the concrete in Security Law and violators should be legally responsible. Fourth, to lay the foundation for security industry itself and make up for perfunctory governmental direct System for Professional License (of private security guard) should come into effect.
