  • Comparing the rate of accident in 1999 with 1998, that has been increased about 0.06%. The 56 percentage of industrial accident had been occurred by new employer, who has been worked less than 1 year, in 1999, therefore safety training and education is required for those new employer. This study is present the analysis and investigation of safety training and educational situation and consider a counterplan.

  • Korean professors and students majoring IS (information systems) were asked "How much knowledge and skills will be required for entry level IS practitioners?" The result shows that there are significant perception gaps between IS academics and IS practitioners and that the perception of IS academics is obsolete. The result implies that the obsolete perception of IS academics is one of the major causes that Korean IS practitioners are experiencing so severe knowledge and skill deficiency.

  • In this study, we have investigated potential application of 3D model-based learning material in training of new workers for production of electrical systems in the ship-building. Most of new trainees such as new employees or workers on job-transition have lots of difficulty when given the first task due to their poor ability to understand related engineering drawings. This is mainly caused by the fact that drawings are loaded with too many ambiguous symbols to precisely describe the characteristics of components required for installation of electrical equipments and cables. As one way to improve the ability of new employees to read drawings, we have suggested a new training method based on 3D models of major components required for production of the electrical systems in the ship.

  • 본 연구에서는 우리나라의 송전선로에 주로 적용하고 있는 역상수직 2회선 배열을 기본 모델로 하여 다양한 저감 설계기술 적용시의 FRF(Field Reduction Factor)를 구하는데 중점을 두었다. 검토한 결과로는 신규선로 저감기술로서는 송전선로의 경우 지상고 증가, Compact Tower개발, Diamond Tower의 채용, 일부 구간의 Transposed 선로배치 등이 우리나라에서 적용 가능한 후보군으로 분석되었다.

  • 최근 와이파이를 채용한 스마트폰에 대한 수요가 폭발적으로 증가함에 따라 무선랜에 기반한 새로운 신규 기술들이 활발히 연구되고 있다. Gbps 이상의 전송을 가능하게 하는 IEEE 802.11ac는 차세대 스마트폰을 위한 핵심 기술로서 기존의 IEEE 802.11n에서는 수용할 수 없었던 초고화질의 비디오 전송을 가능하게 한다. 또한 최근에는 무선랜을 사용하여 최대 수 km까지 광역으로 서비스를 지원하기 위한 광역 무선랜이 IEEE 802.11af 및 802.11ah에서 연구되고 있으며, 초기 링크 셋업 시간을 획기적으로 절감하기 위한 IEEE 802.11ai 기술도 활발히 논의되고 있다. 본고에서는 이러한 IEEE 802.11ac, IEEE 802.11af, IEEE 802.11ah, IEEE 802.11ai 무선랜 기술에 대한 표준화 추진 현황 및 주요 이슈들에 대해 기술하고자 한다.

  • 환경 친화적인 자동차, 안전한 자동차, 편리하고 편안한 자동차 등에 대한 다양한 요구에 효과적으로 대응하기 위해 기존의 기계/유압식 자동차 부품들을 전기장치로 대체하기 위한 연구가 꾸준히 진행되고 있으며, 특히 반도체 기술의 발전에 의한 가격경쟁력 강화에 힘입어 신규부품 개발 분야를 중심으로 자동차 부품의 전기/전자화가 급격히 진행되고 있다. 이에 따라 자동차에서 사용되는 전기에너지의 소요도 지속적으로 증가하여 새로운 차량용 전원체계에 대한 연구, 개발의 필요성이 대두되었고, 1990년대 중반 미국의 MIT/Industry Consortium 등을 중심으로 선행연구가 진행되어 자동차용 42V 전원체계가 새로운 대안으로 제시되었으며, 아울러 연비개선을 위한 마일드 하이브리드 기능의 채용이 검토되었다. 본 논문에서는 42V 전원체계 및 마일드 하이브리드 시스템 성능 구현에 핵심적인 역할을 하는 에너지 저장시스템에 관해 소개하고, 마일드 하이브리드 운용에 적합한 에너지 관리장치 개발에 대해 간략히 소개하고자 한다.

  • KORAIL continuously drives practical reforms of change and originality both internally and externally for the purpose of adapting to rapidly changing circumstance and promote productivity of the organization. Various management strategies are needed to increase its productivity, yet the fist thing to be considered is to select talented human resources. A selection of the human resource should be conducted based on 3R(Right People, Right Place, Right Time). This study empirically analyzes through actual study how the method of new employment introduced on January 1, 2005 positively affects capability and productivity of each member of KORAIL. The area of this study is defined centering on the standard of new employment, capability of personnel, and productivity of the organization. Also, the improvement of new employment standard of KORAIL is suggested as significance of the standard was verified through survey of the standard, the capability and the productivity conducted to KORAIL working personnel.

A Study on Educating the Next Generation for the Academia of International Trade (무역학 분야의 학문후속세대 양성교육에 관한 연구)

  • Quantitatively, there are no problem regarding new doctoral degree holders in the field of international trade, but the quality of the degrees does not meet the level of academic potential expected by recruiters. The purpose of this study is to identify current problems of doctoral education to cultivate future generations of scholars in international trade, and to suggest some alternatives to improve doctoral programs through surveys and focused group Results of this studies show that the major issues are a lack of full-time applicants and a demand for doctoral degree holders, and poor coursework. For doctoral education programs to successfully cultivate next generation academicians in the field of international trade, it is imperative for graduate schools to recruit distinguished full-time students. For this purpose, graduate schools must offer sufficient financial support packages as well as provide their students with good coursework and rigorous procedures on defending their dissertation. In addition, some graduate schools that mainly admit part-time students need to focus more on the quality of their doctoral degrees. Finally, preferential treatment of recruitment procedures might be helpful in expanding employment opportunities for new doctoral degree holders in international trade.

The Effects of the Tournament Inflow and Outflow on the Relationship between Pay Dispersion and Organizational Performance (보상 격차와 조직성과 간 관계에 있어 토너먼트 내 인력 유입과 유출이 미치는 효과)

  • This study examines the effect of pay dispersion on labor productivity by focusing on the inflow of newcomers into the tournament and the outflow of stayers from the tournament. According to tournament theory, the expansion of pay dispersion within the organization contributes to enhanced organizational performance by attracting high performers externally and by removing low performers internally within the organization. However, previous studies regarding tournament theory have overlooked the participant aspects. Therefore, this study explores how external hiring and involuntary turnover influence the effect of pay dispersion on labor productivity. This paper hypothesizes that pay dispersion will have a positive effect on labor productivity. Moreover, this paper predicts that the inflow of new competitors will strengthen the positive effects of pay dispersion on labor productivity, whereas the outflow of incumbents will weaken this relationship. Empirical results showed that pay dispersion increased labor productivity and the inflow of newcomers strengthened this positive relationship. However, contrary to our prediction, the outflow of incumbents weakened the positive effect between pay dispersion and labor productivity. These theoretical arguments and empirical findings highlight the proper conditions should be equipped to practically achieve the positive effect of pay dispersion on labor productivity.
