Analysis of New Transit System Effect in Large Scale Land Development Projects (대규모 택지개발지구내 신교통시스템 도입효과 분석)

  • This study is evaluating that new hi-tech transit systems each type of function and introduce applicable guideline decreases land sale price in New town and Large scale land development projects. For this, use the look-up table through the composite category of each type of system at the functional types, local characteristics. It also, As introduce the new systems calculate the Social benefits such as altered public traffic transfer system, reduced transit time and reduced carbon emission considering the three-dimensional arterial roads. As a result, New transportation systems contribute that the more reducing traffic congestion and air pollution and municipalities seeks for environment-friendly policy. However, this paper emphasize that the new transportation system has been introduce without considering the characteristics of locality and the efficient arrangement of them, it cannot be transferred the to the existing public traffic efficiently, futhermore causes the sale price in new large scale land development projects.

  • This paper presents an evaluation method that considers the weights of many characteristics of a public transportation system; this method facilitates the selection of suitable advanced transit system in a transportation investment plan. The method sets up twelve evaluation items separated by the following influence factors: users, community, government and operators. It then evaluates the advanced transportation system by analyzing the weights. For an empirical analysis, the urban advanced transportation systems for the main transit of small and medium sized cities were evaluated using the AHP method. The result revealed that the weight order is safety, rapidity and punctuality, convenience, and regional activation, and the priority order is steel wheel-type AGT, LIM, and rubber wheel-type AGT.

  • As the increased importance is placed on the new transit systems owing to the environmental pollution caused by the road traffic congestion, the policy for the introduction of the new transit systems as an alternative solution to ease the heavy burden of the construction expenses is being actively established. Since the explicit recognition of such transit systems and the review on the method of its adoption have been a pressing matter in the light of reducing the pending traffic congestion, the development of the rolling stock systems in modes of new transportation has been made in various ways taking into consideration the regional circumstances to alleviate traffic congestion, and offer a more efficient service with the application of their intrinsic characteristics. Such systems also have been developed as a mix of punctuality for railway systems operating on the runway and flexibility for buses. This paper, therefore, deals in more detail with 3 modes of systems such as low-floor articulated buses, GRT(Guided Rapid Transit) and tram cars, and studies the overseas cases of the operation of those systems involving both negative and positive aspects.

  • For Improving gradually inferior environment of public transportation system, it is necessary to introduce new transit System(NTS). NTS is defined as automated economicm system for it's operation . The Track Guided Bus System (TGBS) is one of the NTS, which is possible operating on the track or road surface and the system has actually many advantages. This study was concentrated on investigating the characteristics of TGBS, comparing to the other public transportation system and appraising the advantages of it on the benefit of the passenger side as well as investor, and then suggested applicable routes. As the result of the study, it is concluded that the advantage of this system is less transfering and initial low investment. Applicable route is the demand of passengers in the range of PPHPD 5,000~39,600, which is more than bus but not more than subway.

Phased Introduction of the New Transportation System under the Step-by-step Land Development Project (단계적 택지개발사업에 따른 신교통시스템 적정 도입방안 분석)

  • Recently, the paradigm of land development has been transformed from the joint development to the step-by-step development due to changes in socio-economic conditions. Nevertheless, the introduction of large-scale transportation facilities such as new transportation system tends to employ the joint development. Although new transportation system is eco-friendly, it occasionally fails at the beginning of the project because of high installation cost. Such phenomenon is caused by not only the system did not reflect the local characteristics but also did not respond to the step-by-step development. Accordingly, in order to introduce transportation system rationally, introducing new methods corresponding to the step-by-step development should be sought. In this study, we assumed that large-scaled land development site be achieved step-by-step development. and suggested the need for a phased introduction through benefit-cost analysis. The findings illustrated that the phased introduction shows economic efficiency with 30% increase of B/C compared to the bulk introduction. It also demonstrates that the bulk introduction under step-by-step development is more efficient than the bulk introduction under joint development.

  • 본 논문은 전세계적으로 신교통시스템으로 연구되고 있는 튜브운송시스템에 대한 개념과 화물용 튜브운송시스템의 운영개념서 및 운영요구사항의 개발에 관한 것이다. 철도시스템의 개발 초기에 시스템의 정확한 운영개념을 확립하고 이를 기반으로 시스템에 대한 사용자의 명확한 사용자 요구사항 및 운영요구사항을 도출하는 과정은 매우 중요하며, 시스템의 개발 초기 단계 측 개념설계 단계에서 반드시 수행되어야 한다. 본 논문을 통해서 문헌적인 운영개념서의 형식에 대한 조사, 특징, 그리고 현실적인 운영상황을 고려한 화물용 튜브운송시스템의 운영개념서를 제안하였다. 운영개념서를 통해서 사용목적, 운영시나리오, 비상상황 등의 정보가 식별하였으며 이를 바탕으로 시스템의 운영요구사항서를 개발하였다. 개발된 운영개념서 및 운영요구사항서는 확인된 사용자 요구사항 및 시스템 요구사항으로 구체화 되며, 시스템 아키텍처의 참고문서로서 활용될 수 있다.

신교통시스템으로서의 자기부상열차 검토 1(상전도 흡인식 부상시스템을 중심으로)

  • 현재까지 개발되고 있는 자기부상열차는 상전도 방식과 초전도 방식의 2종류로 대별 할 수 있다. 즉 상전도방식은 상전도 전자석에 의한 흡인력에 의해 지상에서 1cm정도를 부상하여 주행하는 시스템으로 영국의 버밍행공항의 People mover, 독일의 Transrapid, 일본의 HSST, 우리나라의 한양대, 자기 부상열차사업단, 대우중공업, 현대정공의 EXPO전시운행선등이 개발되어 있다. 초전도방식으로는 초전도전류에 의한 반발력에 의해 10cm이상 부상되어 운행되는 시스템으로 MLU 시스템이 있는데 지진이 심한 일본에서 개발되었다. 영국의 버밍햄공함의 People mover는 1984년부터 실용화되어 무인자동운전시스템으로 10년간을 아무 문제 없이 운행되고는 있지만 선로길이 620m 정도의 소규모 저속운송시스템에 지나지 않는다. 반면 독일의 Transrapid시스템은 31.5km의 트랙을 설치하여 시속 450km까지 운행을 계속하여 현재 15만km정도의 운행실적을 올리고 있다. 최근 독일내각은 함부르크-베를린 사이의 290km에 이르는 선로를 2005년까지 완공하기로 결정을 내리고 금년 상반기에 착공을 할 예정이다. 따라서 세계적으로 실용화단계에까지 도달한 대규모 고속시스템으로는 단연 Transrapid시스템을 꼽을 수 있다. 이에 Transrapid사와 미국, 일본등의 각 국에서 그간 세밀하게 조사하여 검토한 자료를 상세하게 소개하므로써 신교통시스템으로서의, 자기부상열차의 적합성과 개발의 타당성 및 당위성을 제시하여 이 분야에 관심있는 분들에게 참고는 물론 우리나라의 개발방향 설정에 유익한 자료가 되었으면 한다.

  • 리니어모터의 추진력만을 이용하고, 지지 및 안내는 차륜에 의하는 차륜지지식 리니어모터카는 회전형에 비해 모터의 높이가 상대적으로 낮아지는 점 등의 장점에 의해, 지하철 및 신교통시스템에의 적용을 목적으로 개발되어, 외국에서는 이미 실용화 단계에 들어서 있다[8-10]. 이하에서는 차륜지지식 리니어모터카의 특징 및 개발동향 등에 대해 설명한다.
