  • Despite the recent depression of the construction industry, overseas plant market especially Middle East plant market is booming owing to the high oil price. Since many Middle Eastern countries are placing orders of big scale projects based on the high oil price, Korean EPC contractor are trying to get over the depression through theses plants. Presently, since the plant market is in prosperous condition in general, it is not hard to get overseas orders; however the original licenses that requirehigher technology and high added values are exclusive for advanced engineering companies which great difficulty is predicted for developing countries like us to join the crowd. Therefore, the objective of this study is to propose establishment of material management system on the filed to gain optimized effect of material management in connection with procurement system that all the procurement related personals execute tasks in advanced level by systemizing the task operation within the knowledge and task ability in time for plant construction procurement as a method to strengthening the competitiveness of Korean companies.

Empirical Analysis on Potential Labor Migration between Countries Implemented by Harris-Todaro Model: Result from Korea, China, and Japan (Harris-Todaro 모형에 의한 국가간 잠재적 노동인구 이동에 관한 실증분석: 한-중-일 3국을 중심으로)

  • This study aims to examine potential labor migration between Korea, China, and Japan by Harris-Todaro model which is enhanced in the presence of expected income differential. The results suggest that Korean labor forces are bi-directionally migrated to China and Japan, simultaneously, and Chinese labor forces have been switched from inflow to outflow. On the other hand, Japanese labor markets are characterized by inflow from Korea, and outflow to China. The nature of labor markets in Northeast Asia have been largely transformed such that inflow of immigrants is gradually intimidated. This is mainly due to the fact that the labor markets are gradually homogenized in this region. To this end, it could be tentatively concluded that the labor markets in Northeast Asia seem to be operated by substitutionary rather than complementary natures.

  • In the real world, there exist various products in terms of price and quality, and it can be expected that a product with lower price and higher quality than others is better. Hence efficiency of consumption behaviour can be measured by the level of goodness in terms of price and quality attributes of that product. The purpose of this research is to define consumption efficiency in terms of price and quality, and to measure consumption efficiency of IT and electronic products in South Korea. From the results, many consumers have purchased inefficient products m air-conditioner, TV, digital camera, MP3 player, computer markets. On the other hand, consumers have purchase efficient products in refrigerator and washing machine markets relatively. In addition, we analyze the relationship of consumption efficiency, information channel, and electric power consumption. This research may provide meaningful information for consumer's behaviour by measuring consumption efficiency quantitatively.

Globalization of Korean Textile Design (한국텍스타일디자인의 세계화 방안)

  • The Korean textile industry contributed much to the country's economic success during the 1970s-80s. Since the end of the 1980s, however, most of the Korean textile industry has begun to suffer from both high labor costs and skilled-labor shortage. During this period, such countries as China, Indonesia, and Malaysia began to gain strong foothold in the global textile market, mainly owing to considerably low label costs. To maintain competitiveness in the global textile market, the Korean textile industry should undergo a structural change. It should switch from the mass production of low quality design to selective praction of high quality and well-designed textiles. An cement of high value-added should be put into the textile product.: Usage of functional material, new processing technology, automation, pro-environmental dye shes, and strategic marketing is required. In this appear, I suggest ways and means to make the Korean textile design be good enough to compete in the global market.

A Study on Distribution and Packaging Status of Korean Cut Flowers (국내 절화류의 유통 및 포장 실태조사)

  • Pusan, Kwanagju, Yangjae Floriculture Auction Market to packaging and distribution status of cut flowers in Korean markets from October, 1997 to Feburuary, 1998 this study was surveyed. In case of packaging, the inner packaging materials was used almost used news papers and polyethylene films, the outer box was double wall corrugated paperboard box. Plastic container box was a few. The using shape of box was A-1 type, bending materials was PP film and OPP tape. There was whole sale and retail in all Korean markets in case of distribution. The distribution route was three, the one was farmers through consignments in Seoul to consummers, it was 42% of total distribution volume. The other was auction market in Yangjae, the distribution volume was 18%. The last was distributed in farmers and provincial markets by the dealers, the volume was 40%. All farmers and officers want to applicate the standard regulation of packaging box, but dealers were not.

  • The purpose of this study is to identify factors affecting the purchase of Fair Trade products and to segment consumer which were typed according to the fair trade consumption competency, attitude and ethical consciousness of the University students. As a result, there are 4 type consumers, general type, indifferent type, individualism type, and fair trade practice type. Factors that directly affect the purchase experience of Fair Trade products are knowledge, willingness and interest in fair trade. In the end, education should be provided through fair education and ethical consumption through systematic education, and outside of school, social effort should be accompanied by the media and various contents to enable college students to promote their knowledge and interest in fair trade. In order to activate the fair trade market, it will be necessary to improve the quality to secure the market value as a commodity and to increase the price acceptance of the consumer.

  • In this paper, we investigate a market equilibrium in multi-channel sharing cognitive radio networks (CRNs): it is assumed that every subchannel is orthogonally licensed to a single primary user (PU), and can be shared with multiple secondary users (SUs). We model this sharing as a spectrum market where PUs offer SUs their subchannels with limiting the interference from SUs; the SUs purchase the right to transmit over the subchannels while observing the interference limits set by the PUs and their budget constraints. The utility function of SU is defined as least achievable transmission rate, and that of PU is given by the net profit. We define a market equilibrium in the context of extended Fisher model, and show that the equilibrium is yielded by solving an optimization problem, Eisenberg-Gale convex program.

A Study on Individual Training Account System Experiences and Labor Market Outcomes of the College Graduate Youth (대졸 청년층의 내일배움카드제 참여경험과 노동시장 성과)

  • This study aims to look at the current status of college graduate youth' participating in Individual Training Account System of Korea and analyze the effects of their participation experience on the labor market outcomes. To achieve this, this study used the data from 2012 Graduates Occupational Mobility Survey(GOMS) and for analysis, used both multiple regression analysis and binomial logistic regression analysis. As a result, it was found that the number of young people who had ever heard about the Individual Training Account System was 2,707 individuals (27.6%), and among them, the number of young people who had actually participated in the System was 695(25.7%). As a result of analyzing the effect of participation experience with the Individual Training Account System on the outcomes of labor market, it was found that participation experience had a positive and significant impact on whether they were employed and the form of employment (permanent position), whereas it did not have a positive impact on average monthly wage. Based on these results, this study drew implications for further studies and suggested policy tasks for improving the policy effectiveness of the Individual Training Account System.

  • 본 연구는 인터넷의 진화 및 이미징 디바이스 전반의 발달에 따른 디지털 카메라의 진화 전략을 다룬 논문이다. 오늘날의 카메라 기술은 하루가 다르게 발전해 나가고 있다. 수동 필름 카메라에서부터 최첨단 하이브리드(hybrid) 카메라에 이르기 까지 카메라는 끊임없이 진화해 왔으며 사용자 계층 역시 다양해지고 있다. 디지털이 적용된 디지털 카메라의 경우, 웹의 발전과 더불어 활용도가 다양해 짐에 따라서 기존에는 전문가와 비전문가 계층으로 명확하게 나뉘던 사용자 계층도 그 경계가 모호해졌으며 사용자의 수 역시 비약적으로 증가하였다. 수많은 사업자들이 디지털 카메라 시장에 진출함에 따라, 높은 성장세가 지속되던 컴팩트 카메라 (compact camera)시장은 과포화기에 접어들어 성장성이 점차 감소하는 추세에 있으며, 전문가의 영역으로 여겨졌던 DSLR 시장 역시 선발업체의 높은 진입장벽과 이를 극복하기 위한 후발업체의 지속적인 도전으로 인해 경쟁은 치열하고 이익은 내기 어려운 레드 오션(red ocean)이 되었다. 이러한 상황 속에서 디지털 카메라가 활용될 수 있는 대표적 매체인 웹 역시 '웹 2.0' 이라는 용어가 생길 정도로 발전했다. 웹2.0시대가 본격화되어 서로 다른 사용자들이 자유롭게 컨텐츠를 공유하고 누구든지 쉽게 정보의 생산에 동참할 수 있게 됨으로써 기존의 웹에서 일어나지 않았던 다양한 변화들이 생겨나게 되었다. 본 연구에서는 변화의 특징들을 살펴보기 위해 웹 2.0 시대의 대표적인 컨텐츠 공유 커뮤니티로 자리매김한 야후(Yahoo)사(社) 플리커(Flickr)의 사례를 통해 디지털 카메라 사용자들의 디지털 카메라 사용패턴을 살펴보고 이를 통해 디지털 카메라의 진화를 설명하고자 한다. 인터넷이 발전하며 디지털 카메라와 관련 되어 나타난 대표적인 변화는 일반 소비자가 진화하는 점 이라고 볼 수 있다. 컨텐츠의 공유가 자유로운 웹 플랫폼의 등장, 카메라 기술이 결합된 소형 디지털 단말기의 발전 등으로 인해 비전문가 영역에 속해있던 일반 소비자 계층에 Flickr와 같은 웹 커뮤니티에서의 활동을 통해 준전문가 계층으로 진입하려는 욕구가 생기게 되었는데, 이렇게 형성된 욕구에 따라 디지털 카메라 시장 역시 새로운 수요를 만나게 되었다. 본 연구에서는 경쟁이 치열한 시장 상황 속에서 디지털 카메라의 향후 발전 방향을 알아보기 위해 우선 디지털 카메라 기능을 나누어 본 후, 이미징 디바이스 시장과 웹의 발전 형태에 대해 분석해보았다. 이어 본 연구에서는 분류된 디지털 카메라의 기능을 바탕으로 웹 2.0 시대에 시장을 주도할 수 있는 디지털 카메라의 변화방향에 대해서 알아보았다. 본 연구는 감성적 및 이성적 측면에서 디지털 카메라의 향후 전개방향을 살펴보았다는 점에서 이론적 실무적 함의를 가지는 논문이라고 사료된다.

A Empirical Study on Determinants Affecting the Participation and Performance of Small and Medium-Size Enterprises in Global Electronic Commerce (해외직구·역직구시장에서 중소기업의 참여와 성과에 영향을 미치는 결정요인에 관한 실증연구)

  • Recently, the market size of the global electronic-commerce is rapidly growing. The global market size of an overseas direct-purchase is expected to reach 1 trillion won by 2020. This study intends to determine the decision making factors of B2B overseas direct-purchase(DP) and reverse direct-purchase(RDP), and the impact on the vitalization of the small to middle-sized companies'(SMC) overseas DP and RDP. Ultimately, the purpose of this study is to provide a policy insight on the expansion of exports by SMC. For this, we determined the necessary elements for getting good results by Korean SCM in the overseas DP and RDP market through a preceding research based on resource-based theory and industry structure theory. Afterwards, we used the multiple regression model for positive analysis of the survey documents. We were able to confirm through analysis that the company information, logistics delivery, customs process, law and regulations have positive effects on the overseas DP and RDP. This study surveyed the entire overseas DP market, rather than focusing on the cases of harm and responses of the overseas DP, which was the topic for the preceding research, and can be differentiated from the previous study by deducting influence factors for the Korean SMC to succeed in the overseas DP and RDP market. Moreover, the results of this study is meaningful in proposing a strategic direction for the SMC participating in the overseas DP market and the government enacting policies.
