Performance Simulation of a Gasoline Engine Using Multi-Length-Scale Production Rate Model (다중 길이척도 난류운동에너지 생성율 모형을 이용한 가솔린 기관의 성능 시뮬레이션)

  • In the present study, the flame factor which primarily influence the simulation accuracy of the combustion process in a gasoline engine was modeled as a nonlinear function of turbulent intensity to laminar flame speed ratio. Multi-length-scale production rate model for turbulent kinetic energy equation was introduced to consider the different length scales of the swirling and tumbling motions in cylinder on the production rte of turbulent kinetic energy. By7 introducing the multi-length-scale production rate model for the turbulent kinetic energy equation, the predictions of turbulent burning velocity , cylinder pressure, mass burning rate and engine performance of a gasoline engine can much be improved.

  • 많은 컴퓨터들이 기존의 단일코어 컴퓨터에서 벗어나 멀티코어를 장착한 컴퓨터로 변화하는 과정에서 기존의 단일 스레드 프로그래밍에서 다중처리가 중요해지는 세상이 되었다. 이러한 다중처리는 지능로봇 시뮬레이션 교육에 창의적 학습방법을 아주 잘 지원하고 있다. 지능로봇의 형태나 모형 그리고 센서 융합분야에서 동시처리는 중요한 역할을 하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 다중처리 기반 지능로봇 시뮬레이션 환경을 통해 창의적 학습방법에 관한 연구를 제안한다. 무한한 상상력과 창의성을 발휘하여 지능로봇의 모형 설계부터 직접 인공지능 프로그램까지 구현할 수 있는 방법을 소개한다.

A Study on Applying Amphibious Warfare Using EINSTein Model Based on Complexity Theory (복잡계이론 기반하 EINSTein 모형을 이용한 상륙전 적용에 관한 연구)

  • This paper deals with complexity theory to describe amphibious warfare situation using EINSTein (Enhanced ISAAC Neural Simulation Tool) simulation model. EINSTein model is an agent-based artificial "laboratory" for exploring self-organized emergent behavior in land combat. Many studies have shown that existing Lanchester equations used in most war simulation models does not describe changes of combat. Future warfare will be information warfare with various weapon system and complex combat units. We have compared and tested combat results with Lanchester models and EINSTein model. Furthermore, the EINSTein model has been applied and analyzed to amphibious warfare model such as amphibious assault and amphibious sudden attack. The results show that the EINSTein model has a possibility to apply and analyze amphibious warfare more properly than Lanchester models.

  • 컨테이너 터미널 간의 치열한 경쟁, 대형 선박의 출현, 컨테이너 터미널 운영의 자동화 등으로 인해서 세계 각국에서는 많은 컨테이너 터미널들을 건설 중이다. 컨테이너 터미널의 건설에는 아주 많은 시간과 비용이 소요되기 때문에 컨테이너 터미널을 효율적으로 설계하는 것이 필수적이다. 본 연구는 컨테이너 터미널의 엔지니어링 프로세스를 지원하기 위해서 개발된 소프트웨어 시스템 TODAY(Terminal Optimization, Design, and Analysis sYstem)에 대해 다루고자 한다. 먼저 설계 프로세스를 제안하였다. 설계 프로세스는 데이터 입력, 능력 소요 계산, 대안 설계, 대안 평가, 결과 출력으로 구성된다. 대안을 신속히 설계하고 평가하기 위해서 컨테이너 터미널 전용 라이브러리가 개발되었다. 라이브러리는 Wharf, Yard, TravellingArea, Gate로 구성된다. 라이브러리의 구조는 객체 지향적으로 설계하여 확장성과 재사용성을 가지게 하였다. 시스템은 사용자에게 친숙한 인터페이스와 CAD 환경을 제공하여, 다양한 유형의 컨테이너 터미널 모형들이 데이터 입력과 라이브러리 구성요소의 조합에 의해 구성될 수 있도록 지원한다. 생성된 대안 모형들은 시뮬레이션과 경제성 모형에 의해 평가된다. 시스템은 생성된 모형을 시뮬레이션 모형으로 자동 변환하는 기능을 제공한다. 피드백 과정을 거쳐서 최종적으로 사용자의 요구사항을 만족시키는 대안이 제시된다.

  • This study has an object of searching for appropriateness in applying the trip distribution model by studying the changes of the character of parameter which the model contains and by analyzing and evaluating trip distribution technique out of few steps of pre-estimate technique for the traffic demand through computer simulation centering around Kwangju. Method of this study is investigating the basic theory for trip distribution model and with this grounding, I rearranged it as research data for trip distribution model compatible for Kwangju, using data such as research data on actual state, the statistics annual report and basic plan for traffic full equipment of Kwangju. So, The most stable measure of the type of trip distribution of Kwangju city was produced in Fratar and Detroit model, however, gravity model has a little bit low reliance in sharing of estimation and actual survey although it is astringent in short period.

  • 본연구(本硏究)의 으뜸가는 목적(目的)은 우리나라에 있어서 단기경기조정(短期景氣調整)을 위한 통화금융정책(通貨金融政策)의 수립(樹立)에 도움이 될 수 있는 소규모(小規模) 계량모형(計量模型)을 만드는 것이다. 그 목적(目的)을 위해 본연구(本硏究)에서 원용(援用)한 모형(模型)은 기본적(基本的)으로 통화론적(通貨論的) 접근법(接近法)을 따른 것이다. 즉, 경제(經濟)의 조정과정(調整過程)에 있어서 화폐시장(貨幣市場)의 불균형(不均衡)이 가지는 핵심적(核心的)인 역할(役割)에 초점(焦點)을 맞추고, 이를 중심(中心)으로 물가(物價), 국민총생산(國民總生産), 국제수지(國際收支)가 동시적(同時的)으로 결정(決定)되게 하는 것을 그 기본골격(基本骨格)으로 하고 있는 것이다. 그 다음 모형(模型)의 타당성(妥當性)을 검토(檢討)하기 위해서 전정보최우법(全情報最尤法)에 의하여 모형(模型)을 추정(推定)하였으며 그 추정결과(推定結果)를 이용(利用)하여 각종(各種) "시뮬레이션"을 실시(實施)하였다. "시뮬레이션"의 결과(結果)는 70년대(年代)의 급변(急變)하는 경제여건(經濟與件)에도 불구(不拘)하고 상당히 만족(滿足)스럽게 나타났다고 할 수 있다. 마지막 부분에서는 국내여신(國內與信) 및 환율정책(換率政策)의 파급효과(波及效果)를 분석(分析)함으로써 국내여신(國內與信)의 무절제(無節制)한 팽창에 대한 경계(警戒)와 좀더 탄력적(彈力的)인 환율정책(換率政策)의 필요성(必要性)을 주장(主張)하였다.

A Study on the Terrain Information Effects in Combat Simulation (전투 시뮬레이션에서의 지형정보효과에 관한 고찰)

  • The past combats depended often on a number of firepower and manpower. However, integrated decision support viewpoint from communications, surveillance, reconnaissance, intelligence and so forth in combats witnessed in the Gulf, the Middle East, and Afghanistan have changed the trends of combat. That is, the force multipliers which many support systems enhance the combat potential of the fighting forces significantly become big issues to win or not in that combat. According to changing recent combat trend, Lanchester's combat model is being challenged to develop keeping pace with the new trend. We approach this paper as mathematical modeling about how the effect of terrain affects in the combat. Terrain information is invisible, but it is necessary to consider for analysis of warfare. Additionally, tangible or intangible elements affecting to attrition coefficients are continuely reflected to the combat model from decision-makers, then it will be a model closer to the reality and very suggestive to the actual world.

  • The purpose of this study is to reveal the effects of the number of users and their spatial distribution on the evacuation time in a road tunnel in the event of a fire. An agent-based evacuation model was implemented using Netlogo following the ODD protocol. The proposed model illustrates how the evacuation behavior of one can hinder others across different evacuation environments. Simulations show that evacuation time increases with the number of users when they are randomly located in a road tunnel.

A Simulation Analysis of R.O.K Navy's Inventory Management Model for Repairable Parts (시뮬레이션을 통한 해군의 복구성 수리부속 재고관리 모형 개발에 관한 연구)

  • Recent development in science and technology has modernized the weapon systems of ROKN (Republic Of Korea Navy). Although the cost of purchasing, operating, and maintaining the cutting-edge weapon systems has been increased significantly, the national defense expenditure is under a tight budget constraint. In order to maintain the availability of ships with low cost, we need an efficient and scientific method for managing repairable parts. In this study, we propose a simulation model that computes the availability of ship's repairable parts. Our model is based on the METRIC (Multi Echelon Technique Repairable Item Control) model and extends to five sub-models to reflect the realistic situations that arise in the navy, such as planned maintenance, condemnation, lateral transshipment, and cannibalization. We have performed simulations to compute the availability of repairable parts while setting the part-level consistent throughout the five models and carried out two sensitivity analyses. The simulation results show the differences in the part availability in different models. The experiments confirm our claim that ROKN needs an inventory management system that captures the operational characteristics of the navy.

  • A population decline in rural area is correlated with the number of household, with agricultural workers, as a result, affects the farming income. Agricultural population is a foundation of agriculture structure. Agricultural population decline influences agricultural policies to be implemented for the future and there is concern about slowdown in productivity. The purpose of this study is to build the ability to use the model and conduct applied analyses of various kinds and to make rational agricultural policies by forecasting and analyzing agricultural population change. Unlike previous studies, which have some assumptions about the giving-up farming rate (GFR) of the key points on the agricultural population model or, After estimating only one equation with respect to the total population, and then distribute by sex and age. This study was conducted to investigate the reactions are different from the farmhouse, gender, age by estimating giving-up farming rate (GFR) equations each gender & age. Through this research, we can find that Farm Population changes of the simulation can be performed for a variety of agricultural policy in conjunction with existing agricultural simulation models as well.
