Suggestion of a Design Method for UAM (강관 다단 그라우팅 공법(UAM)의 설계법 제안)

  • In case of tunnel construction with a shallow soil cover in cohesionless soils or highly weathered rocks, reinforcement measures are required for a tunnel stability during the tunnel construction. Recent developments show that the use of Umbrella Arch Method(UAM) as tunnel reinforcement and water cut-off in domestic projects has increased. Unfortunately, guidelines for the design and construction of UAM have not been established, only empirical designs and applications in tunnel construction have been performed so far. In this study, behaviour of the steel pipes installed on the tunnel roof was analyzed through the monitoring of bending and axial stresses of the pipes with the advance of the tunnel face. The monitoring results were used in the establishment of the loading mechanism around the pipe. This paper suggests, the guidelines used in the determination of the total length, overlapping length and lateral spacing of the reinforcing pipes obtained from the established loading mechanism.

  • It is required to study systematical on the concrete quality management to extend structure life because rebuilding effect is reducing under present condition of large sized and high stories structure. Concrete, which shows its intensity by hydrating action and a big change in quality according to hot weather and temperature, produces a lot of quality problem under hot and cold weather. Because of each specification and construction plan which does not have basic standard on site, concrete's quality is irregular and makes some defect. As a result, Dae-gu is fumed out to be the longest area after investigating application period and days focused on 8 cities weather information about t relationship between hot weather circumstance and construction environment. Therefore, we first surveyed the curing construction processing in the region and found out the problem of quality management. Then figure out the way of solution. Moreover, we integrated curing quality management, which is applied differently to each site, to have equal quality and to reduce defect from construction site. And then, based on various test of construction condition and analysis of quality management item, we suggest effective concrete quality management to make curing construction standard guide and plan under hot weather.

  • A cable element happens to vibration easily rather than other elements because a cable element has few rotational stiffness. Dynamic motion of stay cable is distinguished from vibration by wind and/or rain and excitation by support movement. Mostly a stay cable is vibrated by wind and/or rain except that when natural periods coincide between stiffening girder and stay cable. It happens to deterioration of serviceability and durability by vortex shedding, rainy-wind induced vibration, and galloping. Additional damping generated by installation of cable damper is well known good scheme against above phenomena. Researchers have lack of effort to develop the recommendations even if cable stayed bridges are designed and constructed in Korea. Therefore, development of the domestic recommendations should be achieved as soon as possible. This study suggests the consistent and systematic recommendations on vibration controlling design of stay cable by installation of damper. It gives readers two important methodologies that one evaluates required damping ratio, the other determines installing point considering efficiency.

  • Interactive electronic technical manual(IETM) for construction projects means an electronic tool that regulations and specifications related to construction method or maintenance process ale described by electronic book type. It has a meaning of integrated information system that includes virtual reality(VR), 3D animation and image contents for representing real construction information so that user can easily understand the construction situation and maintenance process. The basic information and technical manuals of construction facilities are being written as paper documents in our construction industry. As the result, the information management in the maintenance phase of construction projects is inefficient, and maintenance cost is being increased. This study attempts to improve the lack of understanding about construction IETM through the analysis of necessity and unique function of construction IETM comparing with the IETMS in other industry, Finally, this study shows a scenario of construction IErM for mitigating natural disaster of construction facilities to verify applicability of IETM.

  • A significant number of projects have been managed by US Army Corps of Engineers FED. Today, more information must be provided to the parties involved in the projects by phase than ever before. Specifically, USFK`s construction projects have been managed by FED(Far East District). Recently, however, large US private construction companies have been filling the role previously taken by FED. However, there is few construction managers to implement FED project in Korea. Accordingly, this study analyzes FED projects practices with focus on the construction management actors in order to suggest guideline. This study suggests a model FED construction process(Bid, Contract, Construction, As-Built Phase) by analyzing the existing FED project process using a IDEF0 methodology.

Proposal of BIM Quality Management Standard by Analyzing Domestic and International BIM Guides (국내외 BIM가이드 분석을 통한 BIM 품질관리기준의 제안)

  • As BIM is now being accepted and broadly expanded in the building industry, the demand for developing, managing, submitting, and checking the BIM models has increased. To meet this demand, it is necessary to develop and spread BIM guidelines, standards, and manuals. Meanwhile, as the number of public construction projects increases, the importance of quantifying the BIM quality checking and evaluation also grows. This study aims to enhance our understanding of the definition and characteristics of BIM quality management, and review the current situation of BIM standards worldwide. In particular, by focusing on BIM quality control and its relevant subjects, the minimum standards for BIM quality management are suggested.

  • An analysis of the current water leak status of understand structure (underground parking lots, staircases, plumbing systems, water reservoirs, etc.) of multi-family housing in South Korea shows that water leaks are found from cracks in all areas of the underground structure caused by the degradation environment (water pressure by underground water, humidity, temperature, earth pressure, soil behaviour and vibration, etc.), which result in various problems, including mold, malodour, debonding of finishing materials, exfoliation, breakout, water leaks in electrical boxes, efflorescence, sedimentation of calcium hydroxide, decoloration, rusting, damages and pollution among others. Therefore, this study aims to analyse the current status of water leaks in underground structure and use the results as the basic data for developing a standard guideline for water leaks and maintenance by parts of the underground structure of multi-family housing.

  • 21세기는 정보화 사회로서 정보와 지식이 사회를 움직이는 원동력이며 국가 경쟁력의 기반이 되고 있다. 정부에서는 정보 통신 기술(ICT) 교육 지침을 정하여 2001학년도부터 초등학교, 중학교, 그리고 고등학교에서 정보 소양 교육과 각 교과별 교수 학습에 ICT기술을 10%이상 활용하도록 권장하고 있다. 따라서 일선학교에서는 이러한 정보 사회의 교육환경 변화와 요구에 부응하여 ICT활용 교육을 위한 교수 학습 지도안을 여러 가지 방법으로 작성하고 있으나 현재까지 web을 통한 학습지도안 작성은 매우 미흡한 상황이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 ICT활용 학습지도안을 시공간의 제약 없이 작성, 수정, 검색, 그리고 활용이 가능한 학습지도안 작성시스템을 web을 기반으로 설계하여 학습지도안의 공유 및 재활용 등을 용이하게 함으로써 지도안 작성시간을 대폭 줄일 수 있도록 하였다. 또한 학습지도안과 수업자료를 데이터베이스에 저장하여 데이터의 효율적인 관리와 검색이 가능하게 하였으며, 수업활동 종료 후 형성평가 문제의 출제 및 평가 결과가 계속 누적되어 앞으로의 개인별, 수준별 학습활동에 참고자료로 활용될 수 있도록 하였다. 학습자도 시공간의 제약 없이 학습지도안 검색이 가능하므로 학습자의 예습 복습을 용이하도록 하였다.

  • The Korean government makes an effort to raise the competitive power of nation through CM activation in the construction industry. Since the first CM service was applied to the atomic power plant project in 1986, the number of CM contracts are continuously being increased and will be up to 20% by 2002 in public sector. However, the public projects had been executed without any procedure manual or standard guideline of CM services. Meanwhile the Ministry of Construction and Transportation issued $\ulcorner$CM Service Guide$\lrcorner$, but the guide shows an indefinite description in the responsibility, authority and scope of activity for the project participants. Therefore, it is required the procedures be improved and scope of activities be established for the project participants. This study was generated from the comparative analysis of $\ulcorner$Standard CM Services and Practice$\lrcorner$ Published by CMAA and domestic $\ulcorner$CM Service Guide$\lrcorner$ and the case of Incheon International Airport construction. The purpose of this study is to provide the fundamental data for an improvement in the procedures of project execution and the construction manager's activities/rolls shown on $\ulcorner$CM Service Guide$\lrcorner$

Three Dimensional Analysis of Piled Abutment Adjacent to Surcharge Loads (3차원해석에 의한 교대말뚝기초의 측방유동 발생메카니즘 분석)

  • 본 논문에서는 연약지반에 시공된 교대말뚝기초에 인접하여 성토하중이 재하될 때 발생하는 측방유동의 발생메커니즘을 규명하기 위해 3차원 유한요소해석을 수행하였다. 본 수치해석에서는 점성토 지반과 점성토-사질토 지반 그리고 사질토-점성토 지반에 선단지지된 강관말뚝에 대하여 성토하중 크기(q=20, 75, 100kPa)와 말뚝두부조건(변위구송, 회전구속) 그리고 말뚝중심간격(s=2.5d, 5.0d, 7.0d, 단독말뚝)에 따라 측방유동압의 분포형태와 크기를 분석하였다. 그 결과 측방유동압의 분포형태는 교대말뚝기초의 수평변위와 유사한 형태로 나타났으며 측방유동압의 크기는 배면 성토하중의 크기에 대한 비로써 결정할 수 있었다. 그리고 점성토 지반과 점성토-사질토 지반의 경우, 측방유동압의 분포형태와 크기는 말뚝두부조건에 가장 큰 영향을 받는 반면 사질토-점성토 지반의 경우에는 말뚝두부조건보다는 토층조건에 가장 큰 영향을 받는 것으로 분석되었다. 본 연구결과를 토대로 연약지반에 시공된 교대말뚝기초의 측방유동에 대한 설계 및 해석시 지침자료로서 측방유동압의 분포형태와 크기를 추천.제안한다.
